The resurrection of the 6th form common room for those inbetweeners who are TTC/PG after mc and are too long in the tooth to fit anywhere else

The resurrection of the 6th form common room, a place to put your feet up, wallow in self pity (me) or rejoice (and tremble in fright) at new growing beans and baybees after mc. No lists. No stats. No babydust. No feeling bad if you can't keep up.

Go.

(( bb )) sorry you're feeling deflated. It is good news of course, as you say, but I can understand why you're struggling - in a way it would be easier to have something to pin it on, a defined problem that you could solve and know that next time would be ok. I guess it takes some getting your head around?

Big ((hugs)) and a commiserating Wine to yrmotb - as you know, I found the start of this cycle really difficult too and I know Eeyore's Gloomy Place is not a great place to be Sad But like you say, maybe this is your "lucky" time of year? I hope so x

ladybee - I hope you're coping - it's awful being at the in-between bit Sad. Will be thinking of you tomorrow lovely - big (((hugs))) xx

I am wondering whether to try SMEP again this month or to just leave it and have a month off altogether (or at least, without any "regime"!). If we're SMEP-ing then we need to swi tonight, but I am feeling irrationally Angry with dh for taking the baby car seat out of the garage for space and leaving it in the kitchen, like a constant reminder that I have nothing to put in it. He is insisting on hanging onto all the baby things "just in case" but it is really doing my head in having stuff around, especially when it's in my way. If I'm honest I would just like to take the whole lot to the charity shop/dump as appropriate - I've no idea if we'll ever need it all again but if we do I doubt I'll begrudge the cost of a new car seat.

Sorry - rant over!! And I've been doing so well with not obsessing this cycle too! Blush

Hello all, thanks for all your good luck wishes. So appointment went ok, saw Raj Rai who was lovely, very eccentric and amusing but very knowledgeable all the same. Essentially all the tests they've done have come back clear and there's nothing wrong! I'm glad, but I'm not if you see what I mean?! Anyway, I've got to go in for hsg next Tues and then back to see Raj again the following Tues for the results and a plan.

If I'm honest I'm a bit deflated, I don't know why, I think I was expecting a solution but as yet there isn't one. I know that's a good thing that there's nothing wrong so I'm a little bemused by me feeling deflated.

I'm now thinking, if the hsg doesn't show anything, that I need to get tested for NK cells as I can't see how 4 mc, all around 6 weeks can be just shitty luck.

Hey ho.

Hope everyone's doing ok today, sorry for not name checking, bit confuddled at the mo Confused Hmm

MummyAbroad · 01/03/2011 17:16

LadyB Limbo is not a good place, I have been in that position myself. When I finally had an ERPC it was at least nice to know that "it was over" and I was in recovery rather than being in that half and half pregnant/but not pregnant place. Hope it all goes smoothly for you. Good to know the anxiety thing is not just me. xxx

Ladybee · 01/03/2011 16:00

I miss the charts. Feel very much in limbo at the moment, am not pregnant, not ttc, not testing, not even in recovery as ERPC is tomorrow (MummyA, initial consultation was monday to get ERPC scheduled and give history, get blood type/count etc).

bbb so today was the appt for adeny-thing? I really hope you get some sort of answer or plan.

YRMOTB sorry looks like I missed your party. 7 is an excellent number, btw, I hope it's lucky for you.

loola great news at the weight loss, that's brilliant, well done! I've decided that while I'm not doing any of the things listed above, I will concentrate on weight, I was very slack in the last year with lots of "if I'm not having a baby I'll have cake" excuses, and now it's time to do something about it.

mummyA actually, the tightness in chest is something I had too - and I suspect it's not just an anxiety thing but a progesterone-related pg symptom - it can cause a bit of breathlessness in early pg for some reason. There now, another symptom, you can relax a bit more Smile

Will be back later hoping to hear news from bbb

Good luck BB!!

YRMOTB Glad you are feeling a bit more on the up, hope your luck starts to turn now. March is a great time to get preggas (xmas babyGrin) I have chart attachment too. I just read the link about suspending and went pale at the thought of not being able to access charts at all. Me and charting just go way too deep to be seperated so finally like that. Confused Grin

jolls/nix I love 4D scans! I got one every month with DS (in my routine check ups with doc, not expensive at all here at 30 quid a pop) We got such good pics of DS's chubby chops that he ended up appearing on daytime TV slot!

Freezingmyarseoff · 01/03/2011 11:55

that'll be waves even

Freezingmyarseoff · 01/03/2011 11:54

Hope all went ok today BB

Sorry you're feeling down YRMOTB, it's not much I know but here have some banana & choc chip muffins I baked.

I'm realising the feeling of nausea I was feeling probably were real but most likely due to a lingering chest infection that seems to have reared it's ugly head again (for the 4th time) grr.

Anyway weves to everyone as usual x

Youremindmeofthebabe · 01/03/2011 11:41

Good luck bb.

I think maybe next month. I am quite attached to this month as I have always previously got PG in and around Feb/March... Silly.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 01/03/2011 11:29

Just a quickie to wish bb best of luck for appointment today xx

nickstermum · 01/03/2011 11:16

Nope you cant be at my house, you dont have a murdered baby rabbit on the drive courtesy of teeny puss! Hmm

I havent had a 4D scan yet - want to try it - but unsure Grin

randomimposter · 01/03/2011 11:01

nicks have been concerned for some time that we are the same person.

But am mightily relieved, as have just seen on another thread that you like 4d scans, and they totally freak me out, so phew... we must be 2 people after all Grin.

nickstermum · 01/03/2011 10:45

Jolls, are you at my house???

Hope all goes well at your APT BB x

randomimposter · 01/03/2011 09:06

Wondered if BBB popping in before appt - hope all goes well my lovely
xx

Hi everyone; have got to get off MN and tidy this bombsite. Toys everywhere, cat hair galore and yet more washing to process. Jeez there's only 3 of us, how do big families cope?!

x

batteryhen · 28/02/2011 21:05

ali

Thanks for the linky :) I have suspended my account and have saved a few pennies xxx

Quick wave to everyone - just a quick pop in as I am watching the biggest loser :) xx

Freezingmyarseoff · 28/02/2011 17:49

Mummy thanks for that link. I promise not to test again until next Monday. Actually I feel much better about things now I've got that test out of the way, I can function properly again & of course my queasy feeling have gone away. Fancy that.

AliTheMinx · 28/02/2011 14:23

Oh bless you, mummyabroad Yes - my doctor is LOVELY and I have big stash of DVDs and programmes to watch on iplayer at the ready! I am quite good at relaxing and watching tv, so hopefully I won't find it too hard. My DH is being great, and has offered to help around the house and with the cooking more.

Sorry to hear about the tension in your chest - I had the same yesterday - after I was worrying about the twinges! Am sure it's all stress related.... You're right, we want to be happy, but I think the fear of something going wrong just clouds our ability to enjoy our pregnancies in these early days. I just hope and pray we will both be OK.

Hopefully as things progress we will start to relax a bit. Thinking of you and sending lots and lots of love your way. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

mummyabroad · 28/02/2011 13:13

Morning everyone Smile

Ali glad your doctor has been helpful. Sounds like a great idea to treat yourself to some extra rest time, hope you have a big stash of DVD's at home to keep you occupied.Smile If its any consolation, you are not alone in your anxiety, I've started to feel horrible tension in my chest like the adrenaline rush you get before a big exam or something. I've had it for two days now and can only think its the fear worry of being pregnant again. Its very confusing because this is something I've wanted so much you would think I would just feel happy!Confused

Paranoid thought of the day - wonder if I should put FF on hold in case I lose this pregnancy and then need it again later?

loola thats very crap about the anov. cycle. Sad Is your laporoscopy a Lap + hysteroscopy? This should greatly increase your chances in the first few months after. Even better if you can combine it with meds to trigger ovulation straight after so you can take advantage of the cleaned out tubes and uterus.Have you looked into that? What is your lap for exactly? (sorry if you have said before, I cant remember) Well done with the weight lossGrin

Ladies who are not temping I went to chart stalk today and it was no fun because they are all empty! Hope you will make it up to me by providing lots of BFP's to celebrate at the end of the month WinkGrin

Freezing My view on tests in the house is that you should have none or a big cheap multipack so you can do one a day guilt free. GrinReading this will help you hold to till at least 13DPO

Battery your TTTC (transatlantic trying to concieve) efforts are really impressive. Fingers crossed this is the month xx

BB best of luck for the appointment xxx

LadyB I hope the ERPC was OK. How are you doing?

Big waves to Izzy YRMOTB Jolls BOA Velvet mouse and all the lovely lurkers xxxx

AliTheMinx · 28/02/2011 12:18

Quick update... The advice from the doctor is to try hard to stay positive and literally just rest, rest, rest. No late nights or parties. Just work, home, and rest, so have cleared my diary for the next 6 weeks to give my baby the best possible chance!

LOVE TO ALL xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

loola2shus · 28/02/2011 10:22

battery just found it.... how to Put ff on hold

loola2shus · 28/02/2011 09:43

Hello everyone!

Sorry I haven't been about for a few days,I've been feeling a bit sorry for myself after annovulatory cycle and the thought of laparoscopy coming up.

Sad

The fact that I am now on 9th day of bleeding with no sign of it coming to an end is also peeing me off a tad Angry I lost 4.5lb last week at slimming world so at least that is going the right way Hmm

BB Good luck for tomorrow!

Belated Birthday hug for YRM

Battery I am sure I have seen a 'defer' option on FF so you could have them on hold rather than waste them? Then you can use them as a pregnancy tracker once you get your BFP Wink

MUMMYA Pleased the blood results were good your diffedness!

Best get some work done Wink

AliTheMinx · 28/02/2011 09:33

waves to all and send huge hugs to everyone

Hope you are all doing OK? I'm just about to go to my GP appointment to tell her that I am pregnant (AGAIN!). It should be a happy time, but I am so damn paranoid that something will go wrong again afer 2 miscarriages last year. It's just so hard not to worry...

Today I am 6+1 and yesterday I had a few twinges, which scared the hell out of me. I am pretty sure it was just the normal pulling and tugging you feel, but I managed to convince myself something was wrong. I have an early scan booked for Thursday and am hoping all will be OK.

Sorry for moaning - but just wanted to let out my anxiety. The very few people who know are urging me to be positive, but when it's your body going through the changes it's hard just to switch off.... xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

randomimposter · 28/02/2011 07:58

who you calling a loon BBB? Actually DS repeatedly telling me there were still 2 stars on his Mr Sunshine sleep clock at 5.30am seemed to get rid of scare away my headache. Thinking of you about tomorrow - perfectly normal to be a bit apprehensive. Hope all goes well x

wave to all
must shake a leg and not sit on MN for too long this morning HmmBlush

brokenbarrenbrook · 28/02/2011 06:44

at least last test has gone now, no more testing and driving yourself potty. I never keep tests in the house anymore purely for that reason. Hope you're doing ok x

YRMOTB Glad you enjoyed your party, hope your head's not too sore today

jollipops you drunken loon! Hope you had fun at your party too! How's the head?

bee hey you, good to see you (although clearly I wish you weren't here) glad you know we're all here for you.

mummya awesome that the bloods are doing what they should. Still keeping everything crossed for you x

D-Day appointment tomorrow morning and I don't mind admitting I'm slightly nervous!

Big hello to battery, izzy, moo, tunnocks, velvet, nicks, wiggle, mouse and TT and anyone else I might have missed.

Have a good day all x
