The resurrection of the 6th form common room for those inbetweeners who are TTC/PG after mc and are too long in the tooth to fit anywhere else

The resurrection of the 6th form common room, a place to put your feet up, wallow in self pity (me) or rejoice (and tremble in fright) at new growing beans and baybees after mc. No lists. No stats. No babydust. No feeling bad if you can't keep up.

Go.

Just popping in to see how it went mouse was thinking of you. Know it's a difficult day so pleased to hear that it was a peaceful service and that you did sth nice afterwards. Good luck tomorrow xx

Waves to Izzy, enjoy your day off, and to everyone else.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 02/03/2011 20:17

Big (((hugs))) mouse I know the cremation service isn't easy Sad and I'm sorry you've had to go there again, but I'm glad it was peaceful for you xxx

ladybee I hope you are doing ok and getting lots of rl hugs xxxx

battery glad you survived!

bb hope you are feeling a bit less deflated today?

yrmotb are you ok? Have I managed to tempt you to chuck away the thermometer yet?!

Hope everyone else is ok. I have an unexpected day off work tomorrow as Arse Boss has not bothered to sort out with HR when I am working this month and there's no way I'm doing any extra hours before I know I'll be paid for it!!! This is nice in that I have a more chilled out week but in reality means I'm going to feel obliged to do some housework tomorrow

On the bright side, I have talked dh into getting a pet and we are going to look at guinea pigs tomorrow and at the weekend. I have two happy dcs Grin

mousebacon · 02/03/2011 20:06

Hi ladies,

battery I'm pleased the hsg went ok. I was offered one back in the summer if I didn't get pg within 6 months and was warned then it would 'be uncomfortable' which I know is medical speak for 'bloody painful' so I take my hat of to you and all those who've gone through that.

mummy hope all is progressing well. Have you had anymore bloods done?

yrmotb how are you feeling a few days into the new cycle? Hope you're ok.

bbb sorry the tests didn't give you the answers you were looking for. I k ow how disheartening it can be.

Today was our cremation service and it went ok. Obviously we've been there before so we knew what would happen. It was peaceful but over v quickly. It felt very sad to have been there twice in 4 months. It was quite busy this time. DH and I tried to make the most of our day together and we've been out for tea tonight.

Tomorrow is fanjo cam day so am off to shave my legs for the first time in quite a while - wish me luck!

MummyAbroad · 02/03/2011 17:40

Hi battery glad it went "OK". I had bright red bleeding both after my operative hysteroscopy and HSG. Nurses told me both times to expect it, and unless I started soaking a pad an hour that it was completely normal. Excellent news that you got the all clear!! I am so pleased that you dont have to go through the any of this AS madness!! much love xxx

mamapower · 02/03/2011 17:37

Big fat (((((hugs))))) for battery and lady

BB double edged sword that one; sorry the results didn't reveal a problem that they could just fix but also pleased they couldn't find a problem... iykwim Smile

Waves to Izzy yrmotb Jolls loola

batteryhen · 02/03/2011 17:04

Just back from the hospital. It was a bit crampy but not too bad as I was dosed up to the eyeballs with pain killers. I did have a few tears - emotional rather than painful!

thank you to all the kind words and good luck wishes. Good news is all looks normal, no sign of scarring or adhesions. They also took a sample of lining too. They reckon lining looked good and think maybe I am just slow at recovering from my erpc which does not surprise me considering I took 9 weeks of bleeding after my first MC!

Ironic thing is now I am bleeding bright red blood which is a good thing I hope.

lady if you are up and about I hope you are doing ok today - as well as you can be.

Anyone seen mouse recently??

MummyAbroad · 02/03/2011 13:21

Hi all

I am probably too late to wish LadyB and Battery good luck. Hope it all went well ladies. Hope the nurses and your DH's are looking after you both.

thanks for the Brew Izz

Youremindmeofthebabe · 02/03/2011 09:35

Very late will be back later for proper catch up but saying good luck to battery and ladybee. Big hugs. Sending strength xx

randomimposter · 02/03/2011 09:22

running late as usual
but squeeze for Bee and Hen

BBB I know where you're at, pleased but empty and unsure. Know nothing about NK cells, but know the testing thread will help. Will msg you later xx

Wave to all.

brokenbarrenbrook · 02/03/2011 08:53

battery sorry chick, forgot to say good luck for you too. Boots do an awesome migraine and tension relief tablet that is really strong, it has a muscle relaxant in, I'll be taking them when I go for my hsg next week so would recommend if its not too late for you to get them before the procedure.

loola2shus · 02/03/2011 07:51

Just popping in to give lady and battery a goodluck hug before I go to work, thinking of you both

Mummya I had a HSG a few years ago and it was clear so I think that they are quite happy with that unless they find something which needs more investigation when they are doing the lap IYSWIM

brokenbarrenbrook · 02/03/2011 07:50

Morning all, thanks for putting up with my whinge. Hope you're all doing ok today, just popped in to say I hope all goes ok for you today bee will be thinking of you xxx

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 02/03/2011 07:15

Thinking of you today ladybee. Big ((hugs)) x

battery hope it's not too uncomfortable - lots of painkillers beforehand, remember!! x

MummyAbroad · 01/03/2011 21:43

sorry, how rude of me! hope you are well Smile

MummyAbroad · 01/03/2011 21:42

oops, my bold was accidental too! I think there is a gremlin on the thread.

CaribouMoo · 01/03/2011 21:38

What's with all the bold! I wasn't trying to copy you MummyA!

CaribouMoo · 01/03/2011 21:37

BB I remember feeling like that about being referred to the miscurrent MC clinic. A part of me wanted them to find something that was wrong and then just give me a wee tablet that would make it all go away. Its understandable to feel like that. You keep asking away and checking out NK cells too if you think it will help. I'm sure Pretty will give you advice, good luck.

Bee hope you're muddling along alright. I'm glad you found us all here, although would much rather be seeing you on the grads thread - hopefully soon. When are you moving back home?

YRMOTB big hugs for you, i know it wears you down month after month and long cycles are a bloody curse. Hang on in there pal.

Good luck for tomorrow Battery x

Velvetcu · 01/03/2011 21:15

Thinking of you both for tomorrow battery and ladybee

bb great news but I do understand your feelings. Hope you feel a bit better about it all soon

yrmotb glad you enjoyed your party. Sorry you are keeping eeyore company right now, hopefully this is your lucky time if year.

How is everyone else getting on?

I am not enjoying being back at work after half term!

MummyAbroad · 01/03/2011 21:11

BB you are not alone with that weird feeling of wanting them to find something, I had exactly the same feeling when all my bloods came back normal. As loola said though it is a step along the way, it might not feel like it but even being able to rule out some of the basic problems has got you a little bit further in your journey.
I think the nice thing about the HSG is that even if it comes back all clear - its still worth doing for the "jetwash" effect - nice shiney clean tubes gives you a fertility boost. So it wont be a wasted effort whatever the outcome.

battery will be thinking of you tomorrow. Are you going with your mum after all? Hope you get the best nurses ever and that it all goes quickly and smoothly. xxx

loola thats funny, I had a hyst and scheduled with the possibility of a lap, and you have it the other way around! They did an HSG first and when they saw the tubes were open didnt need to do the lap. Hope it all goes well xxx

Hugs and this large stash of booze for all that need them Grinxxxxxxxxxxxxx

tonythetyger · 01/03/2011 20:50

Hi BB I just popped in to see how you were doing. Yes it's very dispiriting when they say there's nothing wrong as that means there's nothing they can promise to do to cure it. I hope the hsg shows something. On the other hand I was told that there was absolutely nothing wrong with me and I should consider IUI or IVF and after 5 months of not really trying, a new job .... along came spontaneous twins. Maybe losing hope is the way to go forward Hmm

Good luck in scheduling the hsg.

nickstermum · 01/03/2011 20:38

Sorry you didnt get any specific answers BB, I totally understand. It would have been nice to have something concrete to look at.. but like IZ says it is good news (shrouded in a dark disguise) good plan re the NK's ((hugs for you my lovely)

BEE all the best for tomorrow my sweetie xxx i will be thinking of you xxx

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 01/03/2011 20:09

Good luck for the hysteroscopy tomorrow battery ! I second the not needing to know every detail, although tbh I think I passed my squeamish threshold some time ago in the ttc/pg/childbirth/mc mess Blush. My threshold is pretty high though - irritatingly, it was dh who felt faint during the wouldn't-stop-bleeding palaver following dd's birth Confused

batteryhen · 01/03/2011 19:55

hello ladies :)

bb glad your appointment went well. I know how you feel about everything being normal which doesn't give you any answers. When my bloods came back as postive for factor v leiden, I had them done straight after my last MC, so I have a feeling if they took them now they might be normal???So I don't want them to take them now as I want to have my plan for aspirin and heparin in place...not sure that that makes sense?

lady I hope tomorrow goes ok xx I hate the limbo stage. I hope you get some peace after tomorrow and move forward xx

izzy I wish I could SMEP!! I fly to germany on Tuesday to try and shag like rabbits catch the eggy. I hope I don't OV early. that would be typical :(

Sorry to people missing charts. I had a bit of a 'oh my god' moment today when I realised I wouldn't be able to tell if I had ovulated or not... however considering I get lots of OV pain I am sure I will be ok!

So hysteroscopy tomorrow [gulp]. I will be taking lots of pain killers, but I will also be asking the nurse not to tell me anything I am really squeamish about stuff like that [puke emoticon]

loola2shus · 01/03/2011 19:04

Sorry Izzy x posts!

loola2shus · 01/03/2011 19:02

BB Good news!! but I can see why you're feeling deflated, I think when you have these appointments you expect them to say 'right this is whats wrong... and heres a magic wand to fix it' and when that doesn't happen you are disappointed (not you but everyone IYSWIM) It is good news though and at least you are one step further along the track.

Lady Good to 'see' you! I was also in the eat cake mindset during PG then MC and tbh its taking a lot to get out of it!
I really want to get some weight off though, as I think that it can only help when it comes to conceiving. The pg I MC I had conceived naturally for the 1st time in my life (DCs were both IUI & IVF respectively)and it just so happened that I had lost 2.5stone just before hand (have since put it back on!) The weight loss must have had a lot to do with conceiving, its too much of a coincidence that it didn't.

mummya Laparascopy is to look for endometriosis (as if PCOS isn't bad enough Hmm ) they may also carry out a hysteroscopy at the same time- they don't really know until they do the lap 1st! Hopefully if there is endo they can treat it there and then Confused

Izzy & YRM Hope you are both feeling better have a bunch of St Davids to cheer you both up Smile
