Just a quick wave for wombat - did you temp this morning? My symptoms still haven't returned, but the good news is my temps were up again today, so am clinging on to that fact!

Hope you are ok

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 13/01/2011 07:38

bee yay! for a good scan andwell done for fighting your way through all that bureaucracy and rude pharmacists to get what you need, you shouldn't have to but at least you've got it sorted now. Big (((hugs))) after a stressful day x

mummya fantastic news on the scan Grin fx for good hsg results now. That's step one taken anyway! I haven't heard of the cyst but I'm sure they would have said if it was a problem x

choccy well done on the 1.1kg! I've got my weigh in at slimming world tonight after the first week on the diet, but don't feel like I've lost any weight at all! Confused

Fx for everyone due to host af today, that she doesn't turn up - let us know!

DachshundsWantPuppies · 13/01/2011 07:34

mummy I had a naboth cyst when I had a hysteroscopy a couple of years ago. They were so unconcerned they didn't even tell me about it. I only know it was there because I got the notes from it for my fertility doc. So I wouldn't worry.

PinkRabbitFood · 13/01/2011 06:50

mummya that sounds like all round fab news!! Could he tell you which side you'll ov from? Don't know but I think TCOYF says lots of people have cervical cysts and think she had info but sorry can't really remember. Really hope HSG results just as good xx

MummyAbroad · 12/01/2011 23:19

LadyB well done for surviving a 6 and half hour ordeal!! The pharmacist sounds like a cow who needs a cowpat

PinkRabbitFood · 12/01/2011 23:08

Hehehe chocco you're v sweet but I'm not getting excited, seem to get new ones every month now, that's how I have accumulated an entire motorway network in 6 months.... Grin at least it's entertaining in a slightly gross way-you just never know where the new one's going to pop up!! I am quite liking the expressway, it's cool! Xx

PinkRabbitFood · 12/01/2011 23:05

Yoyo laid back choco fab news on the 1.1kg!! Well done matey that is great!! I think nix only meant those that have BFPs as it'll only stress you out. Good work on the FF membership, it's good to know when you can take it easy and swoi!

Ladybee · 12/01/2011 22:53

Last post from bed...
Yes, hard day but on balance positive outcome which is what I'm choosing to concentrate on now. I have a box of needles and two weeks worth of clexane, as well as the old aspirin. Start popping the aspirin now and I've been referred to the haematology clinic for an appointment where they'll go through the clotting stuff with me and show me how to do the injections. That should be next week. Then in two weeks time I'll have a follow-up with consultant, probably will be the same story: see him, prob get scanned to see what's going on and pray for heartbeat & good measurements.

Night night

Choccybick · 12/01/2011 22:51

Goodness gracious ? Ive been awol again and cant catch up at all.......
Sorry that I´m a bit lost. Have only read part of todays posts and feel so out of touch with you lovelies. Fear not ? I´ve just got Groundhog Day syndrome and am back at work this week so things have been pretty hectic. I´ve been concentrating on SWI and having fun as well as focussing my online efforts to weightwatchers diary and lost my first 1.1kg. yooohoo. Lets hope the brain and nether regions take note of my "laid back attitude" this month.

WOOOOP I just realised its day 16 already. blimey!! never mind - ff didnt detect my OV yet, although Im convinced it was monday.... there´s just no sound answer.

Pink boo for your insensitive colleage. Theres only one excuse (if any) ? MEN!

Arrrgggh I just read your commetn about listening to Nix and to Stop temping because it stresses us out - guess what i just did 10 mins ago?? Registered for vip use at fertilityfriend. Oh bugger.....oh well i just got the 90 day thing (because im of course wanting a BFP as soon as possible and cant stand thought of a YEAR of temping...
Or did Nix mean BFP people to Stop??

Ladybee sorry that your appointment wasnt all you expected and that you had a drama with the insensitive pharmacist. what do you have to inject?? (Im going squeemish at the thought)

Dachs Im hoping about your folicles and that everything will be a huge success this month. Xx

Mamap fingers crossed for your offer deary!

Big waves to Wombat, Izzy, MummyA, Velvet and all newbies Ive missed and others Ive not name checked.

PinkRabbitFood · 12/01/2011 22:16

Kat and HK are you about? Hope you're ok lovelies xx

PinkRabbitFood · 12/01/2011 22:14

Argh lady crossed posts!!! Bloody hell what a day :( you poor thing :( sounds like on balance it was good news though, scan consistent with dates and you have the drugs. Can't believe how insensitive they all are though :( what's the next step?

velvet sorry exam was rubbish :( fingers crossed you passed with flying colours anyway-I think I would have had to have beaten you up with one of the fishes if you'd come out saying your exam was easy-it's physics afterall!!

Right really am going to bed! Is it really only Wednesday??? I neeeeeeed a weekend to sleep!!!!

PinkRabbitFood · 12/01/2011 22:08

Oh also lady you mad woman of course you're not a fraud!! I wish I knew you in real life as of course I would want a hug from you. Especially as we seem to both think the same mad (from the outside but rational in our heads!) thoughts! I completely agree with the locked box and tipping ice theories! Are you actually in my head???!?!?!?!

The guy at work who's recently had a baby(following lots of miscarriages so you would think knows better) thought he'd come over to my desk and show me photos and videos of his beautiful new born little girl. WTF was he thinking??????? Especially on yhe week i would have been due! (which he also knows about) Lucky that today I'm having a day off being mental!! Maybe I've turned a corner or maybe today's just a good day but was proud of myself for not freaking and having to have a meltdown in the toilets, and was actually quite pleased for him because she is completely gorgeous!

Ladybee · 12/01/2011 22:05

today was looooooonggg and hard. Sat for ages waiting to be seen, then had about 2 minutes with consultant & (I guess) his registrar, while he said, right 5 weeks, that's v early, have you been scanned (no! someone has to refer me to be scanned! that's you!), oh we probably won't see anything, v early blah blah blah, but lets scan and if we do see anything we'll get you started.
Anyway...sat and waited for scan forever, then consultant obviously wanted to leave so came and told me the drill again and left me in the registrar's hands. Had scan, had to go and pee, then have scan again, sonographer said couldn't see anything in the sac but that seems consistent with dates.
Registrar says, sac there in the right place, measuring fine for dates but no embryo seen but that is typical for dates (am 4+6). Seems like in the meantime they'd talked to anticoag department and it would be a week to get an appt to teach me how to inject myself so she wrote prescription for everything even without seeing HB.
Hooray I think, have follow up with consultant in 2 weeks, will get drugs, come back be taught how to use them. Sorted.

At pharmacy, am waiting, waiting, waiting. Get called back, the pharmacist wants to talk about the prescription. In front of everyone, she asks me what its for, how many pregnancies I've had, how many children, and thus how many miscarriages, tells me she needs to double-check and can't get hold of consultant. At which point I go back and wait with tears starting to roll. Wait another hour.

Finally, she called me back having spoken to someone in the haemotology dept and confirmed it's ok. Got bag of stuff, got home 6 1/2 hrs later. Burst into tears.
Looked up scan dates as had been stressing about no bean and feeling like I was walking down the path to blighted ovum again. Fortunately I found a reassuring website which made me realise it was ok. And I did get given the drugs. So it's ok. Just was hard.

And I'm knackered.

Velvetcu · 12/01/2011 21:44

Hi Lady exam was awful but thanks for asking anyway :)

If feeling fat a symptom? I seem to have puffed up all over today! I have light brown cm so (as I said the other day) I think AF is on her way early. I'm only 11dpo for goodness sake and my lp seems to be around 17 days so dunno whats occuring down there.

PG people you should definately leave the thermometers alone and try to relax.

Dachs I'm looking forward to your BFP in 2 weeks time. Not fair that you arent being allowed your holiday.

Mama I live in kent so whereabouts are you looking?

PinkRabbitFood · 12/01/2011 21:44

Hello all!! I'm on my phone so having to try and remember what everyone said, so sorry if I miss anyone!!

I am CD23, expecting a 28 day cycle this month (whoop)! Feel completely pukey so got all excited till I remembered that I am completely pissed and that i just downed a quarter pounder meal with coke :D omg it was lush!! Plan detox is going fabulously!! Not sure how plan go to work tomorrow is going to go though....

CEP or CEO as my phone is desperate to call you, really pleased you're about to join the ttc mentalling!!

mamap good luck on offer! No idea why it takes so long to say yes or no. Really hope you get it, it'll also becoming to Kent for a day trip!!!

dachs don't stress about size, I reckon you'll be up to 18mm by fri, everything crossed!! Your boss is an arse. I agree, go to doc, explain everything, get signed off. You've got so much invested in this, emotionally and psychlogically you've got to give yourself the best possible chance and not let her get in the way. I also agree you should keep a log of this stuff cos it sounds like you're being bullied. Raaaaahhhhhh, am cross on your behalf!!!

All updiffers, listen up, STOP TEMPING, auntie nix talks sense. Only upset and stress can come of it. Obvs easier for me to say from the outside but please stop imagining the nightmare scenario and start imagining it's going to be ok this time. MIL has been scaring me about the power of the mind and it is
definitely safer to think positive thoughts!

Urghghgh feel grim, we did a massive deal at work yest so had drinks tonight but on empty stomach while knackered is not making me feel amazing. And have a massive presentation to do tomorrow eeekkkkk!

Lots of love all xxxxx

Ladybee · 12/01/2011 21:27

velvet how do you think the exam went?

cep I think your method is a really sensible one - covers all the possibilities etc. and allows for variation. But a bit Shock at GP saying luteal phase always 14 days. It is usually pretty consistent in a women's cycle but can vary from woman to woman. Mine was always 11-12 days.

Mamapower I have everything crossed for you for both lack of AF and gain of new business.

Tigger hope you're doing ok, would be so wonderful if your positive opk this month was followed by another positive.

Nickster Grin at wank IT dept. Is there any other type??

MummyA it's nice to see that you mess up occasionally Wink, you always seem to be so organised and efficient I feel positively slothlike in comparison. Am only pleased about this because it's worked in your favour btw Grin,

dachs, good news to have collection appt sorted, but sooooo rubbish re: holiday booking & cow control freak boss.

Orange re private scan, Sounds like there are lots of different opinions about it. I think possibly they do have better equipment, especially if it's at a centre that offers the 3d ones. BUT my biggest fear about going for private scans now, having had one for my blighted ovum was that the scan at the place I went to was projected onto a large flat screen that I could see - and I still find it hard to remember looking at the screen and it being absolutely obvious that there was great big empty hole and no wiggling bean inside me. I don't deal well with scans anyway, but I don't know whether the risk of seeing something again like that would be too much for me to consider it again. Sorry, very negative POV.

GetDown and Wombat I have been giving temping a miss, and I don't feel like I'm missing anything.

DachshundsWantPuppies · 12/01/2011 21:22

ooh - cross posted - hope you hear soon mamap

DachshundsWantPuppies · 12/01/2011 21:21

cep yeah, it's a good sign and there are more than there were last time, it's just that they are still only about 16mm and they like them to be 18mm (and they grew 5mm over the weekend but not a lot since monday so they're still a little smaller than they'd like) Still, I'm trying to feel positive that there are more than there were last time. :)

tigger I do work in the kind of job where you might have to cancel holidays sometimes, but there is no valid reason for her to refuse this request. And it is just me she treats like this - we have two other people who report to her - one of them she adores and thinks can do no wrong, the other one is technically a temp and therefore different rules apply to her holiday requests (but she managed to take about 60 days holiday last year...) It makes me very cross!

yrmotb She has decided she wants holiday about a week after i would be getting back from mine and has changes the timetable so that she can achieve this without it theoretically clashing with anything (although she's planning to be off for 3.5 weeks at a very important reporting time when i will need her to sign of various numbers before i get them booked into the system, which she seems to be cheerfully ignoring!)

The thing i hate most is the fact that she will never actually sit down and have a discussion about it, she just sends me snarky e-mails in the evening after she's got home to invent another hoop for me to jump through or rearrange before she'll even think about signing off my holiday

ok, ranting over, will now be full of positivity - Grin

all you POASers - GOOD LUCK!!!! :) mamap, yrmotb and all you others who I've forgotten (sorry, Blush) I have everything crossed for you!

Take care all

Mamapower · 12/01/2011 21:11

Hey nix still waiting to hear about our offer and now it's annoying! I've never understood what takes so long in theses matters, don't these people know there minds well enough to decide a 'yes' or 'no'?! Esp in the current climate!

yrmotb nah, due on tomorrow as well, will poas on fri if she doesn't arrive but she will, either early am or late tomorrow afy... like clockwork!!!

Tigger good to see you Smile

Grin Grin at cep... legs akimbo and she's not fussy where Grin Grin

Waves to all and thanks soooo much for the good wishes for the offer on the restaurant... will keep you posted!
