Mummy x-posts, glad the results are back and hope you get a swift reply from the consultant... keep us posted

Mamapower · 14/01/2011 14:45

ah Terry the trials of the WTF cycle! It'll all come good, in the mean time just start ttc when you feel ready Grin

MummyAbroad · 14/01/2011 14:44

forgot to say Izz fab news on the weight loss!! xxx

MummyAbroad · 14/01/2011 14:41

Hi Terrys I think I was on charters at the same time as you a while back. So sorry to hear about your loss. I'm afraid I dont have any useful information about this either, my periods never returned after mc and it turned out I have Ashermans Syndrome. I am being treated now though and will be able to TTC shortly. Looking forward to finding out what my cycle is like.

wombat sounds like a good plan with the bloods and scan. I think anything you can do to feel proactive helps. Otherwise the worry just keeps creeping up on you. Hope you get the reassurance you need. xxx

Dach it must be really hard to stay positive, but you must!! You only need one of those eggs to be a good one xxx

YRMOTB I loved giving birth actually (well until the third stage, nasty labour ward nursed messed things up at that point) I laboured at home and went to the hospital 10cm dilated ready to push! Would love the opportunity to do it again, ideally at home in the water, but I think cesarian is more realistic bearing in mind the possible complications that I would have Sad Still, baby is the goal, not the birth experience. xxx

Got my HSG slides back and the report says "all clear" as I knew it would. As it was done by non AS experts it doesnt mean anything though, next step is to send it to my doc in London (and if he doesnt answer the one in the states)

I am on the verge of another big decision. I am thinking about postponing TTC until next month, in order to give my endometrium a chance to recover properly. The HSG made me bleed quite a bit, and if the lining is on the thin side I cant afford to lose a drop! If I get pregnant with a thin lining I am at risk of getting placenta acreta or increta or previa. Still not decided yet, I may just get scanned and see how the lining is doing and then decide.

TerrysNo2 · 14/01/2011 13:39

thanks lovely ladies, you have confirmed my suspicions - who knows (!!) what will happen, suppose thats why its called a WTF cycle!!

mamapower I got a -ve test after about 3 days so I think my system was cleared up pretty quick. I did think that might mean I had a normal cycle but now with delayed OV I don't think so.

BackOnceAgain · 14/01/2011 13:31

Sorry I'm still in foul mood, deffo got PMT today (hence mood) so AF prob tomorrow. but that means I can start temping at least...

AND ds(3) has just said to me "is there a baby in your tummy?!!!!" Bless him but I don't know where he has got this from, I haven't talked to him about anything Confused

wombat its going to be a long weekend for you, so sorry Sad

pink sooo interesting about the accupuncture. I want some! The sore boob/liver qi thing would make sense as mine have been a nightmare for 2 weeks, could that have anything to do with my xmas alcohol abuse consumption I wonder?? DH needs some too for his hands, wonder whether they'd do discounts for 2?!

Ta for the hugs YRMOTB and nonefishslap Mummya muchly needed Smile

Terry I got AF back after 6 weeks post mc, not sure on the temping/ov front.... Going to start this month though, excited about that!

Agree with Mamap that choccy and IZ are putting us to shame on the health front (but well done girls!) Envy

you getting a new kitchen Owl? cool!

Nicks how are you getting on?

Well boring weekend for us in store, I fancy some red wine and steak tonight (always crave red meat before AF for some reason, hardly eat it usually)

Waving at cep Emoo ladybee orange hadrian chloe hairy loola wiggle tigger and ALL the everyone Smile Happy weekend

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 14/01/2011 13:25

((( wombat ))) I really hope you're wrong. Fwiw I had no symptoms in either of my first two pgs, was more nauseous in the third but only after my bfp Hmm so I think that was more psychological than anything else. Will be thinking of you and hoping you get some good news soon x

I'm not ignoring you, just not sure I can help - I'm six months on and not convinced my cycles are back to normal yet, but mine was a mmc at 16 wks (baby was 14) followed by erpc at 17 weeks, so I don't know if that makes a difference. Fx yours being earlier won't mess up your cycles so much. Hope you're ok and feel free to hang around or pop in and ask questions as much as you want x

Mamapower · 14/01/2011 12:52

Big hugs wombat, the wait to know one way or the other must be excruciating AngrySad

Dachs quality not quantity, am willing on a good development over night.

Owl new kitchen, very nice, lucky you Grin

yrmotb you're so patient, fx crossed for a sunday morning bfp for you Smile

Wombat33 · 14/01/2011 12:27

Thanks Owl and everyone. I get the results on Weds or possibly Tuesday if they manage to get them processed in time. I also spoke to a private hosp this morning who will scan me if I reach 7 weeks (i.e. 8 days' time) so depending on the blood results and what happens between now and the end of next week, I will do that too. The more information the better I think, even if it's just to get a better understanding of what's going wrong.

Wombat33 · 14/01/2011 12:23

Terry sorry - I'm being very rude today. Welcome to this thread and I'm so sorry about your loss, on Christmas day too Sad. I MC naturally at exactly 7 wks and my cycle went pretty much straight back to 'normal' afterwards (though I did get some pain for a few weeks). As your MC was relative early too I suspect you might well find your period arrives as usual, but anything can happen in the WTF cycle so don't worry too much if things are a bit off for a while. They seem to settle down eventually and generally the earlier the MC the quicker things settle down again xxx

owlbooty · 14/01/2011 12:11

Dachs I've got my cheerleading pompoms out to cheer them on :) Excellent news on the holiday.

Terry so sorry for your loss. I found that after the inital (quite lengthy) cycle of complete randomness my cycle went right back to how it's always been - but it does seem to vary wildly from person to person. Hope you're feeling better soon.

Wombat glad your GP is prepared to help - really, really hoping it's good news for you. x

Wombat33 · 14/01/2011 12:10

Dachs it's not quantity that matters though is it? FX that things are progressing well when you speak to them tomorrow xxx

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 14/01/2011 11:58

pink just a quickie for you...I have a feeling it's your due date today so just wanted to see how you were doing and send you a big ((((hug)))). It's easier out the other side, honest. Thinking of you xxx

dachs 10 is a good start, fx they will do you proud x

Chloe55 · 14/01/2011 11:44

10 is still good though is it not Dachs? Glass half full remember Wink

DachshundsWantPuppies · 14/01/2011 11:42

Just a quick one. It went ok but I'm a bit disappointed because there are only 10 eggs and I was expecting more like 15 :(

I find out tomorrow how they are doing...

youremindmeofthebabe · 14/01/2011 11:07

mamap I'm poasing on Sunday, my af is due today. I never have any indication that it will be coming, until after the first flow when I start getting cramps. Usually I get narky though, but this week has been ok so far! I feel really ill though, i've got a headache and sore throat and had a dicky tummy earlier in the week. Grim. Good luck for the poasing!

wombat sorry you're feeling this way. Fingers crossed it's just a normal wave of symptomless-ness. Hope the GP helps (()).

ladybee yey for working from home, boo for a trip into the office! I'm at home today, ds is settled in front of Beebies whilst I write this.

terrys Mine wasn't a conventional MC it was a missed, but after my erpc it took 2 months for my period to return, and I have no idea when or If I ovulated, although I suspect I didn't. Sorry for your loss.

izz well done on the weightloss! That's great news! I have lowered my cal intae considerably and cut out the alcohol but I still didn't lose anything this week! Boo.

pink glad you're ZEN'd off the acupuncturist. I got an offer from a fertility one in Leeds of 6 sessions for £180.00. Is that reasonable?

loola hope the 3WW was avoided in your bathroom!

mummya without a wimper?? Bloody hell. Having said that, i'm not a screamer, so was relatively silent, but I can't say I didn't complain a bit. I definately asked for an epidural at 9 cm dilated...

Chloe55 · 14/01/2011 10:47

Sorry to hear your sad news Terry - what shit timing Sad I probably am not much help as I am not an avid check when I ovulator as I didn't think I was ovulating when I fell pg last time - my cycles are all messed up due to PCOS. I got AF after 6wks, however I did have a D&C post MC. SInce then I have had 3 periods, all a little all over the place and have been stupidly heavy - ie thick blood clots, I think most of this is PCOS related though and am now on Clomid to regulate ovulation. So, that probably doesn't help at all, does it? I hope everything returns to normal for you soon.

Wombat - easier said than done I am sure, but try not to worry. There are umpteen stories I have read on here with people experiencing the same as you to go on to have healthy pgs. I know how stupid that sounds though, of course you will worry Sad

I am in a bad mood. Taken my stupid dog out this morning, on a stupid walk my dh suggested which was stupidly boggy, stupidly long and I stupidly got a stupid friction burn on my finger from the stupid lead that got tangled on my stupid dog's legs. Stupid bbloody walk. In all seriousness though, this is the first exercise I have done since starting clomid, I took my last pill on wed, have had the odd ovary twinge but nothing knew there but now they are both killing me - it started towards the end of the walk. Any ideas?

Mamapower · 14/01/2011 10:26

You lot are incorrigible... !! hee hee!

Anyway, after yesterdays POAS action giving me a big fat negative and reducing me to tears, I am refusing to set myself up for a fall two days in a row. However, If she doesn't turn up today I will poas again tomorrow! I am not in any way shape or form getting my hopes up because 1) I have no symptoms, at all, except 'possibly' bigger boobs and 2) I got a negative yesterday and 3) this could just be my cycle finally returning to my pre mc cycle!
YRMOTB Wiggle when you poas'ing?

Pink not much sleep no, was making lots of plans! How you doing today?

Sad wombat Big hugs chick, well done on getting the GP to test.

Mummy hope I haven't missed anything; have you had your test results back yet?

Izzy and Choc you are putting us all to shame, stop with the health kick Grin Grin

BOA no fish slap because I did the same, it's human nature, sorry your DD is coming up too Sad

Dachs hoping it's all going well for you today.

Waves to emoo, Chloe and lady and enyone else around this morning Grin

Wombat33 · 14/01/2011 09:51

Bee all my symptoms have totally disappeared - boobs gone back to normal - no longer sore or swollen at all, no veins showing, temps dropped, nausea gone, abdominal discomfort gone, need to pee regularly gone. I'm really hoping I'm wrong but I have such a strong feeling.

Mamapower · 14/01/2011 09:44

Morning all, I'll be back for a proper post in a min but just wanted to quickly help Terry out!

Hi Terry, I am so sorry to hear of your loss and on Christmas day as well, life can be a real shit! The cycle post mc varies greatly from woman to woman. Have you poas to ensure you have got a negative? It's just a safe guard to make sure there is nothing retained (the only time to be glad to see a negative). My cycle was completely and utterly thrown into chaos! I went from 28 days and ov day 14 to 25 days and ov on day 18/19 and 7 months later it's still in this new cycle! Please DO NOT worry about your LP and ignore everything you read on the internet that frightens you. I have been there, done it and got the t-shirt for this, as the girls will vouch for!! Retaining a pregnancy is nothing to do directly with the length of the LP but everything to do with the rise in progesterone post ov! You can have a simple blood test 3 and 7 dpo to determine your progesterone levels but it's unlikely your GP would give you one for another 6 months or so! I hope that has helped a little Smile

Wombat has anything further happened to make you worry more or is it all just getting too much?
Really hope the blood tests give the right result.

Day of meetings today. Would normally work at home today but have to drag myself into work, last thing I feel like on the grey rainy day. Thank goodness for weekend tomorrow!

TerrysNo2 · 14/01/2011 09:27

Hi all. I am a regular MN-er on the Charters thread and I had a MC on christmas day at 6 weeks. I don't think I will be able to be a regular on here as I don't have the time (work, house, DS: you know how it goes) but I was wondering if you could share your post-MC cycle experiences with me. I would be using you for your knowledge but I've been told you're all very lovely! Smile

Basically I bled for 5 days during MC, quite lightly (usual AF is heavier but only 4 days) and I usually OV on CD 15/16. I think I OV-ed yesterday (CD21) so 5 days later than usual. If this has happened to you during WTF cycle what has happened to AF thereafter, does it come and the same time so you've had a short LP and conception is not possible or do you have a usual LP and then AF arrives (or not!)??

I would appreciate your advice.

And I wish you all the very best of luck with conceiving and having a healthy and successful pregnancy.

Chloe55 · 14/01/2011 08:32

Oh Wombat Sad Hope you get some answers.

Wombat33 · 14/01/2011 08:30

Morning girlies. Good luck to dachs and pink today.

I phoned my gp this morning and sobbed on him so am getting an HCG blood test at 10.30. Guess I'll have to wait until after the weekend for the results and/or a follow up test but at least I'll be one step closer to certainty and then if it.s the result I'm expecting I can start researching tests etc. Sad
