nix congrats on the job, is exciting and glad you are looking forward to more interesting role.

kat2504 · 06/01/2011 21:06

my opinion would be three times a week. I would rather go for every second day but that isn't quite possible at the moment. So every 3 days isn't bad, but perhaps every 2 days in the days leading up to ov?
I did some online reading on docs advice and every 2-3 days was what came up. Sounds like that is the most up to date advice.
Of course, I think the best thing for relationship is to do it when you want to, so not worry if you already did it the day before if the mood takes you, conversely not worry if it is 3 days apart not 2 sometimes. Aim for 3 times a week average.

getta oh he loves sunstroke that's never a problem. Grin sorry being v dirty now. and fingers crosed for the poas.

abit of a query kind of (sorry makes lots of sense i know) when i was trying before i was taking temps as regular as i could with a 2 yr old rather difficult, but was also doing the ov test every day (admittedly only for 1 month)sometimes twice a day, but they always came back negative. i never got a positive ov test. but then we went on hols dtd 2 days after my af finished and bobs your uncle. because my cycles changed so much after coming off the pill and were different every month i found it difficult to work anything out and when temping failed due to being up and about with toddler being up and down during the night and never getting a positive on the ov i'm still unsure as to when to try.

also a stupid question after the mc the dr advised dtd once every 3 days so we don't have old or too young sperm, now is that every other day or 1 day on the 2 days off?? and what are your opinions on this??

nickstermum · 06/01/2011 20:53

So whos sperm snatching tonight then ? Or is everyone on the 2ww and exhausted by now? I for one am shattered after being awake. Half the night after dreaming Ds got washed away by a freak tsunami wave :( felt so real I had to get up and make sure he was still in bed which of course he was :)

It's also official..... Starting back at work full time in feb! :( also a different role which will be more interesting and less dull which is always good :) have been in tears tonight.... Gutted really as will hardly see Ds :( I will just have to make sure weekends are jam packed with fun stuff and will have to live in a mucky house!!

getawiggleon · 06/01/2011 20:46

daddy's do you have pg test in the house?

LoveBeingADaddysGirl · 06/01/2011 20:37

Getta he says I look mummsy WTF?!?!

youremindmeofthebabe · 06/01/2011 20:12

Yey!

getawiggleon · 06/01/2011 20:06

yrmotb x posts - I'm 4dpo so will hold your poas hand too (although not literally, might get a bit wet)

getawiggleon · 06/01/2011 20:02
getawiggleon · 06/01/2011 19:57

Daddysgirl It's been a while so I think I'd prob test too. Do you know if/when you ovulated post mc? DH was convinced I was pregnant with dd. He still can't explain why. He just thought I was 'acting stranger than usual!

Francesca Welcome and so sorry you had to experience what you did and when you did. I felt exactly the same re trying again and my personal experience was that I missed the first ov post mc (was blissfully ignorant to the workings of my own body/ best time to do opk etc) so my first af arrived (6 weeks to the day after mc) For the first couple of cycles my periods were v light which made me worry that my uterine lining might not have been thick enough to sustain a preg anyway. They have now got heavier but everyone is different and I can only echo what the others say - start when you feel physically and emotionally ready. I can recommend temping to give you an idea of what's going on in your cycle etc though.

MamaP Your new project sounds v exciting. I think I may be 4dpo now too (FF says 3dpo, am choosing to ignore it) so will add myself on list and we can be cycle buddies! (No symptom spotting for me this month though after I had spotting 7dpo, nausea, cramps, sore boobs, the works etc two months ago and it ended in a bfn!) Oh, who am I kidding?

youremindmeofthebabe · 06/01/2011 19:55

Hello my lovely ladies!

Busy on here tonight! Thanks for the reassurance re the chart etc. I am keeping an eye on tomorrows temps, and only then will i relax and stop charting for this month. Or maybe the day sfterConfused

francesca there's probably not much extra I can tell you. Just try when you want to try, I guess. The feeling of urgency does start to dissipate somewhat as time goes on. Or rather it changes for other desperate feelings! Sorry for your loss.

BOA I don't know really. I have always got pregnant in the month end of February (2x) so am feeling quite attatched to it. Coincidental or factual? I don't know.

Ooh, mamap I'm 4 DPO too now, we can be test buddies! I know, it's quite distressing how much my temps were different to last month in a seesaw fashion.Blush

nickstermum · 06/01/2011 19:53

Grin at knob shaving and choking the chicken BOA!! Tis no laughing matter though, my little DS age 3 seems to have the problem but all the time for him :( said he will have to have his removed by age 5 :( bless his little socks. Has already had 2 operations, cant stand the thought of another.

BOA you need to time it so he has the op bang on the day after you OV, then its 3 weeks til you ov again... and off you go! Grin

fankie sorry for your loss xx hope you are doing ok xx take time to grieve, and let your body recover, but agree it does help to have ttc to focus on :)

love test... but assume it will be neg so then its a lovely surprise when its +ve

cep · 06/01/2011 19:43

boa i think it might be easier for him to just it over with, at least then you know you're free to go.

dgirl good luck.

All this talk of trying before the first af, my dh took it to heart the whole wait before trying again, and as he won't wear a sun hat means we haven't even dtd since.

I'm also a bit worried about the weight i gained during the last month comfort eating. The dr originally told me that i'd actually fallen pregnant because i'd lost a bit of weight. I hadn't lost it all from ds, and lost a stone then whambam. so now i gained most of it back i'm worried it's going to take me ages again.

BackOnceAgain · 06/01/2011 19:12

mummya if you happened to be searching for another nickname I would definitely called yourself MummyAKAtheOracle Grin you are the font of mc knowledge for sure

Wombat, that holiday idea(genius!) must have logged into my consciousness as I've spent a loooong time looking at manchester to Venice flights very recently Grin

LoveBeingADaddysGirl · 06/01/2011 19:06

Thanks you have made me feel so much better about, thought you were all going to say no point far to early. Than again that means you've all given me hope as well argghhhhhh

BackOnceAgain · 06/01/2011 19:03

Hi I think test dgirl you need to know so just do it and be prepared for a neg, no fish slapping, it's been a long time for you now. I would definitely if it were me Smile

Thanks so much for all your advice ladies, very welcome and so nice to get it off my chest!! Even with close RL friends I don't know how to start,"fancy a coffee? Oh so dh is getting his knob shaved.....!!"". Recovery is around 3 weeks but no he is not in agony or anything remotely like it, it just hurts when he is aroused. Shit dilemma huh?!!! Confused But I am on the 2ww now so will decide/have the convo with him after I have poas Wink

I almost want to apologise for xposts already as it took me ages to write that....

OrangeGloss · 06/01/2011 18:51

Oh Daddysgirl no pressure then! My dh was no better if that's any small consolation. He doesn't realise that it feels so personal. Yep, test!

OrangeGloss · 06/01/2011 18:48

Yep I know the Langton it's awesome, I was in there new years day Shock Grin I don't know Killkenny, so probably a good decision as the Langton is a tough act to beat and good location

LoveBeingADaddysGirl · 06/01/2011 18:47

Thanks ladies, tbh I will be upset if -Ve mostly I think cause dh has said he thinks I am. Before I've always had a feeling so tested.

Mamapower · 06/01/2011 18:46

ps dgirl any particular reason why dh is convinced? symptoms?

Mamapower · 06/01/2011 18:44

x-posts Dgirl agree with Izzy and Orange Big hugs x

Mamapower · 06/01/2011 18:42

orange it was on the outskirts, called the Killkenny, needed major investment and refurb and the killer was that there is a successful gastro/bistro only 2 miles away and closer to cheltenham that was called the Langton, you know it?

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 06/01/2011 18:40

daddysgirl 27 November is a long time ago, tbh if I were you yes, I would test.

OrangeGloss · 06/01/2011 18:34

Daddysgirl I'm so sorry I missed your post :(

It's been a while so if it was me I would be tempted just so I know where I stand. But if it's -ve how upset would you be? If you did I'd recommend a decent quality test just so there's no doubt x
