Anyway new stats as af got me today.

kat2504 · 17/01/2011 23:36

once is enough!

yoshimigalloway · 17/01/2011 23:21

I know, i guess i was just scared that i was imagining it! thanks for the encouragement, saved another two days at least of driving myself crazy!

sevendwarves · 17/01/2011 23:07

Congratulations yoshi, I thought you were probably pregnant, that's why I (and probably everyone else) told you to test!

Xstitch that makes 4 now, hopefully there's still lots to come though.

I doubt it will be my month though, we only managed it once in my fertile window this cycle :(

kat2504 · 17/01/2011 22:40

Hello all, have not been on for a while but am now in the 2ww!
Congrats to yoshi!
I second the advice of not testing too early, if you get a negative you will keep on spending money every day until you get your period anyway. Save yourself a few pounds and wait. However, it is sooooo tempting to test as soon as possible and I should know! I've had 5 months practise of mentally early testing and am trying to be more reasonable now.

babylanguagelearner · 17/01/2011 22:23

been trying to catch up as I've not been following this much for the last week or so - I live in Brisbane so I've been rather glued to the news here about all the floods, and helping out some affected friends. It has proved to be a huge distraction from the 2ww!

So, after all my intention of just noting the signs in my body, I really am quite perplexed about when/if I ovulated this month - no EWCM or anything. So much for being body-aware! So we just SWI'd every other day around the "usual" time and will hope for the best.

Congratulations to the BFP's.

I would second the advice of Bluecrane about holding off the early testing if you can stand it, I did 2 early tests with my DD - both negative, had no symptoms of pregnancy whatsoever, and then when I did a test on the day AF was due (which I only did so I could have a few glasses of wine and not worry - I was so convinced I was not pregnant) I then got a positive test. And when I get a BFN before AF is due, it is still very tempting to keep testing every day just in case the test was wrong, and putting yourself through all that is very hard! Best to try and wait if you can (IMO)

xstitch · 17/01/2011 22:21

Grin yoshi, congratulations.

How many BFP's have we had now then?

yoshimigalloway · 17/01/2011 22:18

well i got the test -clear blue plus- and i seem to be pregnant! I messed up the first one, nothing came up after the two mins, i don't think i held it in long enough. so i did the second and a great big plus sign came up straight away, i looked back at the other and that was positive too. There's no way i could have messed this up is there? i haven't done a test before at all. It's nice to know that i haven't been imagining things. My oh is in shock still! X thanks for listening to me going on!

sevendwarves · 17/01/2011 20:21

Hi MrsHende

Sorry OddBodd, it's not over yet though. Fx for you and everyone else near the end of the 2ww!

BlueCrane · 17/01/2011 19:28

Hello and evening all! Can't believe how busy it's been on here today...and there was me thinking we all had work to do! I daren't look too much at work in case anyone spots me and 'guesses' we're TTCing! Smile

Still resisting testing and the days are slooowly passing and moving towards thurs/fri for AF due date! Feeling fairly rotten tonight though with massive bloating and wind, cramps and am shattered! But they could also all be pre-AF symptoms Sad so will have to wait and see!

OddBodd · 17/01/2011 19:20

Oh and Yoshi, you should definitely test!!!!!

OddBodd · 17/01/2011 19:19

Welcome to the newcomers!

Well I tested again today as cd43. BFN Sad so it's looking unlikely to have happened for us this month. Can't say I am surprised with dh's shifts being all over the place and my cycle being all over the place I think we may struggle this time round.

Lord only knows where my AF is this month!

Good luck everyone. x

cep · 17/01/2011 18:26

welcome mrshende hope this is a lucky bus for you.

MrsHende · 17/01/2011 17:55

MrsHende · 17/01/2011 17:54

Can I please hop on?

CD 3, have had a wee cry, picked myself up and brushed myself off, ready to start again.

My stats are:

MrsHende TTC#1 UCL 25-39days AF due 14th Feb
(what a Valentine's gift that would be!:))

xstitch · 17/01/2011 16:45

I think you should test yoshi and take it from there.

Bumpsadaisie · 17/01/2011 15:52

Yoshi -

It can't hurt to test as all reasonable calculations make you late - although keep your hopes realistic as you don't know your ordinary cycle length, and, even where your cycle length has been constant for the last year, you CAN have one which is a week late, you test and its still BFN (I had that last month, grr!)

If it IS negative, it isn't over till AF arrives - you may have ovulated very very late.

sevendwarves · 17/01/2011 15:51

Busy on here today, congrats to MrsCLH! Yoshi please test, you must be driving yourself crazy!

DH has admitted today feeling under a lot of pressure at the moment with work, renovating our new house and ttc. We've agreed to relax ttc until we can move into our new house (hopefully about a month). Hopefully mother nature won't let me down! Thankfully I got a +OPK a couple of days ago so I at least know when AF is due this month!

cep · 17/01/2011 15:30

moray i've just joined fertility friend.com and that gives you a few options all on the same thing, a calendar for periods etc and also a chart if you want to do temps. basic thing is free.

cep · 17/01/2011 15:28

bumps if i remember correctly you have to buy the whole set, the individual sticks went with the big expensive fertility kit thing, and weren't accurate for the ovulation test.

yoshi the way i look at it is would you be more, less, same disappointed if your af came on. at least if you test you know. fx either way.

MorayRose · 17/01/2011 15:26

Test Yoshi. You know you want to!

I'm pretty convinced AF will get me this week. Think it's due today but have had none of my usual symptoms at all...until today.

Friend told me of mymonthlycycle.com which helped her get a crasp of how long her cycle actually was.

I'm going to give it a go as DH (and I to a lesser extent) don't really want to go down the temping etc route just yet.

Hello everyone. Here i am on day 33 and still no AF. I know I should test but I feel i should leave it a little longer as I know I'd be so disapointed if its neg. I'm thinking weds but am obvs driving myself crazy with wondering. I'm not sure how long my cycle should be, last month was the first clear one off the pill and that was 27 days which would make me 6 days over? I'm not sure of symptoms, i was ill after ov with sickness and feeling dizzy. since then I have a little pink dis last monday. I have weird slightly crampy feeling in tummy for the last week, boobs not bigger but nipples a little sore and different. I am driving myself crazy, sorry to go on and on.
x

Pixiepops · 17/01/2011 14:37

I've not used any ovulation tests so far, but I'd be really interested to know which ones people find best - ie easiest to read but not too expensive!

I've not tested so far as DP works away & I've sort of thought we can't do any more than just try when he's around. It'd be good to know that I am actually ovulating though.

Bumpsadaisie · 17/01/2011 14:21

PS question 3 - if I decide to use CB Digi again, do I have to buy the whole kit (including smiley face hand set) again, or can I just buy the sticks on their own? I see the shops have CB 7 stick packs, but these seem to be independent - they are the two-line variety.
