thanks seven have spent the day lying on the sofa watching a dvd box set DH bought me for Christmas...was wondering when I'd get the chance to watch it hee hee maybe tonsilitis does have a plus side Grin! Might POAS again in the morning though I really should wait another day...still no sign of AF...now is it PG or tonsilitis causing the no show?!?! Confused

How's everyone else doing? Hope all 'at that stage' are getting lots of SWI and those in the 2ww aren't going too crazy!!

sevendwarves · 24/01/2011 20:43

Brilliant news hils, a line is a line, although when I got pregnant with DS I got 3 BFP's and still didn't believe it, so I can understand you not wanting to get too excited yet!

BlueCrane hope you feel better soon!

Hils74 · 24/01/2011 20:04

Ha ha thanks!! Grin

Iwish · 24/01/2011 19:45

H Hils sorry, it means first morning urine. its more concentrated so you have more chance of a BFP :)

Hils74 · 24/01/2011 19:38

Sorry what's FMU? Confused

Iwish · 24/01/2011 19:26

oooh Hils a line is a line. Try again tomorrow or Wednesday with FMU and hopefully it'll be a nice dark line :)

Hils74 · 24/01/2011 18:58

Yes he was there when I checked, I think he's a bit bemused by it all!!

BlueCrane · 24/01/2011 18:43

hey hils I think I would indulge myself a little cautious excitement in your position...and keep testing Wink. Others on this thread had feint BFP's before AF due and just kept on testing over the subsequent days and saw the lines get stronger! Have you told DH yet?

Hils74 · 24/01/2011 18:28

Thanks Blue!

I don't know whether to start getting excited or not, I don't want to be disappointed again

BlueCrane · 24/01/2011 18:23

oooh hils sounding good!!! I believe that... a line is a line!! I would still do another test in a couple of days...apparently the PG hormone level doubles every 48 hours so you should get a stronger reading then!

Hils74 · 24/01/2011 18:16

Hi all, well AF due tomorrow so just POAS and get a very faint vertical line on a clearblue+ stick... Hmm

Does that mean its positive??!! Or shall I wait and do another one in a few days if AF still not here?

Iwish · 24/01/2011 17:44

Hi all!

Congrats to the BFPs, :( to those whos evil witch arrived, keep on SWI to those chasing the egg and good luck to those in the 2ww. Sorry I can't remember who wanted to know but you could try temping, it'll confirm you have ov'd but only after 3 higher temps. I use Fertility Friend, its quite good for recording everything, you can record opks and SWI etc. i just put my temp in every day and it does everything for me and i only use the free membership, didnt fancy paying the extra. heres my chart so you can have a nosey. chart If you go through my chart and go up to the top theres a join free tab if you did fancy joining :)

xx

edwardcullensotherwoman · 24/01/2011 16:13

*OPKs

edwardcullensotherwoman · 24/01/2011 16:12

kateepie2 I know what you mean about the excitement - in fact I had the opposite when I only got a control line on all my POKs last month (don't think they were very effective tbh, I know I ovulated). Hope it's a lucky month for you!
Sorry to hear about the BFN and tonsilitis BlueCrane, hope you're feeling better soon!

BlueCrane · 24/01/2011 14:45

Turns out most of my symptoms might be due to the fact that I have tonsilitis - just confirmed at docs this morning and now have 7 days of antibiotics! But...still no sign of AF and on CD33 of UCL30 at the moment! Going to try and wait until weds before I test again as am reasonably convinced my being ill is casuing the delay Sad ...all rather frustrating!!

Congrats on the BFPs though guys!!! Grin

kateepie2 · 24/01/2011 14:23

Well I got my positive OPK today, so disproportionately excited (probably because I got to make two lines on a test for the first blimmin time)

So, with doing that and charting my temps I do feel like I am taking control of things. But.... 10 Feb (when AF due) seems like aeons away. How will I ever face the wait? This month seems to have gone so slowly compared to my last two cycles!

Congrats Tamashii on your good news Smile

welcome pinkapples

congratulations tamashii

Sorry i'm not keeping up to date much, not sure what's going on with me keep getting disturbed mornings before taking temp so pretty inaccurate, so ff hasn't able to pinpoint ov, i think i missed it though, still have till next week yet though so a long old wait. Pretty convinced af will come.

sevendwarves · 24/01/2011 09:05

Edwardcullens- I'm not temping but i know you need to use a basal thermometer and take your temp every day as soon as you wake up, after at least 3 hours sleep. There will be a slight rise in temp from ovulation (I think it's after ovulation occurs, rather than OPK's which tell you before) which will decrease again once AF arrives, unless you're pregnant then it will stay up.

As I say though I'm not temping but expect someone who is will turn up soon!

outintotheblue it's hard to resist isn't it! I need to try waiting until at least the weekend really.

OutIntoTheBlue · 24/01/2011 08:06

I caved and tested this morning. BFN Sad

AF due Weds so I knew it was early to test, I told myself that I was doing it to confirm that it would be a BFN iykwim

But now I am gutted and really wish I had held on til Weds. Boobs still killing too Sad

edwardcullensotherfairy · 23/01/2011 22:19

Congrats Tamashii, great news! This is a really lucky bus so far, hope the rest of us get the same luck!
I'm determined to get serious about ttc this month; so far just been SWI from period to period, especially around ov time(I usually know when I ov, I can feel it if that makes sense?)
Anyway, can anyone give me some advice on temping/tracking etc? According to the MN calculator, most fertile days are 2-6 Feb. (No idea what my luteal phase is, so should probably work that out this month too, just in case). So when should I be temping and what am I looking for?

sonsiexstitch · 23/01/2011 21:41

Grin 7BFPs. congrats tamashi.

Waiting is awful isn't it?

sevendwarves · 23/01/2011 21:02

Then welcome pinkapples, and good luck with Clomid!

pinkapples · 23/01/2011 20:58

Well I don't know my cycle length as I have pcos and had 6 periods in 10 years before provera so it could be anything consultant says to assume 28 days as I ov'd as expected on day 14 last cycle so I'll hang around if you'll let me if it works out should put my due date about 28th oct... Well see start Clomid tomorrow x

sevendwarves · 23/01/2011 20:22

What a lucky bus!

I just went for a nose around look on the September bus. They had 14 BFP's, we're already halfway there and look how many of us are still here! Looks like this bus will certainly be more successful :o
