TTC after a miscarriage - Ready to try again, we can do it this time!!!

Well I think after all our chatting its about time we had a new thread, as the previous one was very lucky for us, lets hope this one remains just as lucky.

Remember ladies - Our time will come, but our bodies have to be ready, and we are all here to support each other.

Mumswish - I agree with coathanger you can't set your sights on definitly conceiving the first time round, it can take a while. I would start counting your cycle days from the first day you start bleeding after coming off the pill, could take a few weeks for your cycle to regulate, but at least if you start counting from the start you will have an idea if your cycles are regular or not. hope that helps.

Also check out behaviour and devlopment thread. "What's the most disguting thing your child has ever eaten" was in fits!! Great story about a dog and a tampon there (gross but hilarious).

Hiya all!
Mumswish- I agree with ch hun. My ds2 was conceived withing 8 weeks of ttc (not even proper ttc just hit and miss) and my last pg I conceived within 6 weeks. I've got really bad Endometriosis so should'nt be able to conceive easily let alone that quickly! We've been ttc for 6 mths now since the mc and nothing (well suspected early mc beginning of Aug but not concrete). It could take some time so try to be patient,
Ch- Shhhhhhh. Not getting my hopes up. I'm thinking that I can't be pg as i had af but yes everything's pointing to the pg direction. Ohhhhh buggeration!

Sorry mumswish, didn't reply quick enough, but I hope you get this tomorrow -

I would say your first proper period would be the first on you get naturally, if you see what i mean.

You really have to understand that you might not fall in time to have a baby in September. I don't want to sound horrible, coz I wouldn't want to be horrible to you Hun, but sometimes it just doesn't work like that. You may well fall PG straight away and get your september baby, which would be great. But a lot could happen - it might take a few months to become PG, and if you do end up with a due date in september remember babies can come early or late (2 of mine were 2 weeks late!). Try not to waste too much energy planning when you want a baby to arrive, just concentrate on getting a baby.

I hope I haven't sounded to harsh, Mumswish. I really spologise if I have but it isn't intentional XXXX

ok. DB wants kid around Sept time so we're thinking of giving it a month at least to settle down. Is it worth counting these anyway to get an idea of how many days my cycle is as I've never had a regular cycle. How do I know when my Proper period is? I'm getting so excited and nervous now cos it's come up a whole week quicker than I was expecting.

I'm really not right in the head, just prattling away here. I should go back tot he nice padded spa I think

You might find your AFs are a bit messed up for a while after coming off the pill anyway...

Mumswish - if you are not going to TTC for a month or so due to coming of the pill, i would start counting your CDs from the first day of your first proper period. But if you want to start trying as soon as you come off the pill then start counting on the first day you bleed after coming off pill (that will be CD1) Does that make sense?

I thought I would tell you. I checked my pills this afternoon as I was sure that I couldnt have 2 weeks left and my last pill is this friday not next friday.

So do I count my CD's from the first day of this bleed or should I wait for the next bleed considering I'm just going to bleed cos I've come off my pills? I hope I'm not confusing.

Whatever you are blessed with mumswish, you will be happy. I was told I had a big chance of having twins with DS1, and was actually a bit disappointed when I was told it was only 1 - but a gorgeous, beautiful much loved 1!

I would have 20 kids if I had room, I would keep popping them out til menopause! The thought of a 4th doesn't seem like a problem - once you've got 3 another isn't an issue. The only hurdle now is getting DH to say yes to another! I can't wait to have a 4th and have a houseful for the next however many years

I'll be happy with 1. DB wants 3 but there's not a hope. My family are prone to twins so maybe I can get my 2 in one go. My mum was a twin and her grandad was a twin (they say it misses a gen so mayb I've got the twinthing! hmmmmm not sure what to make of that

hehe - i have always said i want 6 kids but not i'm a childminder And regularly have that many it has put me off six, some fo the time, they can be a handful. i ahve 4 this afternoon and thats plenty for today. could change my mind tomorrow though. i'll be happy with one if i ever get it.

well i have 2 already that are 8 and 6 now and relatively easy to look after - i remember when they were babies though it was so hectic! never a moment to yourself and always exhausted, still willing to go through all again. i think ill just carry on til menapause lol - ill have to put a tent up in the garden ;)

I'm sure you won't slink :0. Thats my problem, when I had my mc I went through a phase of not wanting kids (dont know where that came from) but over the past 6 months I've wanted 1 maybe 2, seeing my mates bb last night makes me want at least 6 :0
