I think I ovulated on CD19. Due to DH work commitments we only managed SWI once but that was on CD19. I know a BFP is still possible but we did only do it once.

It's too early to test but I have all my hopes of a BFP running through my head and symptom spotting. My body has been cruel in the past though and got my hopes up only for AF to appear.

However, this evening I am feeling quite nauseous and have had feelings like ligament pulling in my abdomen. Also slightly tender boobs.

I'm 8dpo and just want the next week to be over so I know!!!

Feel better for getting that out!

Sorry to hear af arrived. I don't blame you essence that's exactly what I'd do!

However, currently I'm waiting to see DH tomorrow (as we're waiting to move into new home and living separately for a few weeks) on 2ww and everytime I speak to him, seem to just get irritable and short tempered, which is so unfair on him. Esp when I miss him v much!

Damn hormones!

essenceofSES · 09/12/2010 20:49

RugbyWidow - not sure yet about the app but I'm sure all will become clear as I start to use it and it certainly can't do any harm and will help my obsession!
I'm v impressed you've done your Christmas cards - I've lost my address book Blush

JRsandCoffee - may be a good plan to test before the party. When is your AF due?

As for me, AF arrived this afternoon :(
Had a little pathetic cry as I drove home from work but I knew deep down it wasn't going to be this month. One of my friends from my NCT group from 1st time around starts her mat leave tomorrow with DC2 due in Jan and I'm ashamed to say I am sooo Envy

Anway, I've cracked open a bottle of Magners and we're having comfort food of sausage, chips and beans for tea!

I had the same, two evenings in a row earlier this week - it's surely too early for sickness Confused...

I have work party tomorrow followed by nights out on Sat and Tues. I'm due af on Weds! Talk about timing.

JRsandCoffee · 09/12/2010 20:31

We're having a party next weekend.... I may have to test before that one....... felt vaguely queasy this morning and am now navel gazing on an epic scale, oh dear! It is way too early for any queasyness to be baby related so I really should stop it!

RugbyWidow7 · 09/12/2010 19:51

Essence I'm glad you found the app - have you got to grips with it - do you think it'll be useful?

I finished my Xmas cards today - fewh! Actually, it's the first year I've been bothered had time, to do them so feeling quite chuffed.

I'm still in two minds about whether to test before the weekend's parties...

RugbyWidow7 · 09/12/2010 19:47

Ooh Terrys that's amazing - how exciting, congratulations!! Xmas Grin

JRsandCoffee · 08/12/2010 22:38

Congratulatons Grin

essenceofSES · 08/12/2010 21:14

Yay!! Congratulations Terrys Grin

Maybe this will prove a lucky thread?

raspberrytipple · 08/12/2010 21:06

a line is apparently indeed a line! Looks like you are up the duff lady!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS Grin do another test in a few days and it will be a brighter line I bet!

TerrysNo2 · 08/12/2010 20:30

And the day after and the day after that and so on!! Grin

larus · 08/12/2010 20:28

Fantastic - a line is a line!

I think this calls for another test tomorrow. Just to be sure.

TerrysNo2 · 08/12/2010 20:27

I think (hope) its an LFP - Little Faint Positive!!

larus · 08/12/2010 20:25

Sorry Terry - x posts.

Does that mean BFP or BFN? Am bit Confused!

larus · 08/12/2010 20:21

And do I need to start writing Christmas cards now? Not my favourite job, which I know makes me sound a bit , but I do find it a bit odd sending cards to people I rarely talk to and may not have seen for years.

Am itching to put up the tree though - we can't put it up early due to December birthday issues.

TerrysNo2 · 08/12/2010 20:20

oops, here

TerrysNo2 · 08/12/2010 20:20

Oh, so I just POAS and...

larus · 08/12/2010 20:17

Me too - I hate the 2ww. Or in my case, anything from 5 days to 3ww as a rough guess. Very variable cycles over here...

I also tend to over do the whole POAS thing. I know it is unreliable early and I know that my AF has been several weeks late by the time I get a BFP. But then, the variability of my cycle means more uncertainty and I test more often - you never know, there may be a line Grin.

Re the booze issue - I tend to tone things down a bit when TTC (which sounds like am a bit dependant - I'm not, but I do like a cold beer/cold gin/red wine etc) but not cut it out completely. If I did, I would never get to drink. Seem to have been TTC/pregnant/BFing for most of the last 6 years. I think that until the egg implants its not such an issue anyway? Or is that complete rubbish?

JRsandCoffee · 08/12/2010 18:38

Christmas present wrapping scheduled in this house too! I'm also trying the end of the Lidl mulled wine we had a the work party ealier as everyone was going no about how good it was........it's really not bad at all!! But yes, it's going to be a one glass only affair, and it's only about 8%, less probably as it's been heated about 3 times!

essenceofSES · 08/12/2010 18:13

Terrys - how frustrating! Must have made your mind spin round in circles even more! I agree with the plan to give it a couple of days and then re-test if no AF.

JRsandCoffee - One of my friends discovered she was 6wks pg on her way back from a very drunken holiday, when she collapsed at the airport! Fortunately it was just a low BP thing and her little boy is a very happy, healthy and intellingent 7yo now :)

DH is away tonight so Ds and I have just had tea together and then once he's in bed, I might start wrapping up Christmas presents and writing Christmas cards!

Hope everyone else is having a good day!

JRsandCoffee · 08/12/2010 18:04

Oh Terrys poor you!! Maybe test again in a few days if AF doesn't show?

Well, another day down, and I think I O'd on Day 18 (Sunday) so I'm not far into my wait.... tum te tum!

Is anyone else seeing fertility specialist on the NHS?

I spent so many cycles having no alchohol at all during the TWW that I've just given up, it certainly didn't have any positive impact so I'm kind of like "stuff it". I just go easy the entire month, haven't been what I'd call tipsy in months but equally will have a couple of glasses on a Friday night, after all, tis what the doctor said!! I specifically recall him telling me not to worry, in fact, I could drink more and that in his experience people who just didn't fret hugely about it tended to fall pg sooner.... hmmmmm am I kidding myself?!

TerrysNo2 · 08/12/2010 09:46

Hello fellow 2ww-ers!

As for the alcohol thing, last month I drank nothing during 2ww but this month I have drunk a couple of times but no more than a glass or two. I have no idea if it makes a difference, hope not!

Silly me - took a test this am and was -ve, fished it out of the bin 30 mins later Blush and there is the faintest, thinnest, pink line.

Why did I do that, now I am agonising over it.

Silly silly me!!

essenceofSES · 07/12/2010 22:48

Wow!! What a wonderfully chatty lot you are :)

Welcome to Terry and Strumpet :)

Still no sign of AF here but also no further pg symptoms. Will wait and see what my temp is in the morning.

Raspberrytipple - I'm loving your booze order! Sod's law will state you'll definitely get your BFP now!

With regards to alcohol, it really won't make too much difference (unless anyone here really has a big alcohol problem!)until after implantation. First half of my cycle, I generally drink as I want but 2nd half, I'll just have one unit once or twice a week

RugbyWidow - I found the app thanks!

JRsandCoffee - don't worry, I'm even more geriatric than you! I'm 37yo...

I have 1 DS who is 19mo. I had 2 mmc before conceiving him though so I know I could be in for a difficult time ttc#2. I have an underactive thyroid which makes me more prone to mc :(

OP posts:
raspberrytipple · 07/12/2010 22:19

Well, I'm technically half way through my 2ww and am bored of it now!!! Not really symptom spotting this month although I decided to tempt fate and ordered a mass batch of booze ready for Christmas in order to make sure I am pregnant and therefore not be able to touch a drop and it has just arrived in a Sainsburys delivery, roll call is as follows:. 6 bottles of bulmers, 1 ltr gin, 3 bottles of red and 2x 8 pks of bud. Not that I'm an alchie or anything but if fate is to be tempted it must be done big stylee!!

JRsandCoffee · 07/12/2010 22:09

He's more of a distant memory than I'd like!!! We're due to see him again in April, at which point my DH leaves for 4 months.....although maybe if there is something that needs doing with me that's not time lost, or something, clutches at vaguely positive straws.......pass the mulled wine!

RugbyWidow7 · 07/12/2010 21:21

Certainly not!

I like your consultant. Xmas Smile
