I think I ovulated on CD19. Due to DH work commitments we only managed SWI once but that was on CD19. I know a BFP is still possible but we did only do it once.

It's too early to test but I have all my hopes of a BFP running through my head and symptom spotting. My body has been cruel in the past though and got my hopes up only for AF to appear.

However, this evening I am feeling quite nauseous and have had feelings like ligament pulling in my abdomen. Also slightly tender boobs.

I'm 8dpo and just want the next week to be over so I know!!!

Feel better for getting that out!

Hi everyone,

So tempted to buy some first responses now! I've always managed to stay away from them before and stick to the cheap ones but will be 7dpo on saturday. Must resist Grin

maybebabyR · 17/02/2011 12:49

Hi bump and loup

I have managed to hold off the testing! It is driving me crazy though!

bump i am avoiding boots - there are 2 within a 5 min walk of where I work. And one at the station, and I pass another one on the way home. I just have to keep walking Smile

Loup23 · 17/02/2011 12:41

Welcome maybe 8dpo for you then? are you managing to hold off testing?

I'm ttc #1 too, amazing how obsessive it becomes!

Bumpwanted · 17/02/2011 12:38

Hi Maybe!

It's my first go too so I have no idea what I am looking for. Very jealous of you being in the testing window!

I stupidly just went to Boots to get lunch and whilst stood in the queue saw in giant letters "Buy One Get One Free on First Response" so yes...you've guessed it...I ended up walking out with a sandwich and 4 pregnancy tests - oops.

Technically, however, I now only have 3 as despite staring at it in my work loo for 5 minues, no. 4 was still a BFN!

I have no willpower.

maybebabyR · 17/02/2011 12:17

Hi everyone, just wondering if I could jump on the obsession band wagon too?!

I think I ovulated on 6th Feb, and AF sould be due on 20th.

Am completely shattered (normally have loads of energy). headachy and had some strange cramps yesterday, but have disappeared now.

TTC#1 for me, so am fairly new to all this!!

Loup23 · 17/02/2011 11:59

Bugger - think I'm only 3dpo looking at obsessive charts. Great another day to wait -

Loup23 · 17/02/2011 11:52

Bumpwanted I have purposely not bought any tests and am at meetings today with male boss so no chance to feel boobs etc (without thinking I'm cracking on to him!)

Expect I'll cave on day 7 (I did last time!)

Bumpwanted · 17/02/2011 11:02

Awh Loop 4 DPO...Tea and I can confirm you def should not test on that day!

Just felt boobs at desk and they are no longer sore ...am glad my office buddy is off today!

It would be so great if we all got BFPs!

Bumpwanted · 17/02/2011 09:53

ps Hartey I am a maniac and tested at 4DPO as it was Valentines Day so I can offer no advice. Know only this - if you cave and test at 7 DPO you are going to take me down with you!! Wink

Loup23 · 17/02/2011 09:53

Morning all - bumpwanted sounds positive, really hoping it is BFP for you. Let us know if you test but I think 10dpo is better if you can wait.....

I'm only 3 or 4 dpo and the wait is killing me, am going to really try and not test until mid next week Hmm unsurprisingly have no symptoms as yet...

tea i got the B6 from holland and B so if no luck at boots try there.

Wishing BFPs to all!

Bumpwanted · 17/02/2011 09:48

Morning girls

Am now 7DPO and am trying with the limited amount of willpower that I have to convince myself I should not test yet.

I had very mild period pain type cramps last night and my boobs are a bit sore in places but I think I always get that quite a bit before my period anyway so its probably nothing.

Last night I thought I really could be. This morning I don't think I am! If I were a betting lady I'd back the BFN!!!!

Loup23 · 16/02/2011 20:56

hartey I'm an avid charter as trying for a boy. There's conflicting advice re the temp rise but a common theory in gender selection is to SWI 12hours after O for a girl, so is still poss to conceive after O I think.... Fx for you

Loup23 · 16/02/2011 20:53

hartey I would test but like many on this forum I am test happy from O day!! From what I've read (on the 4million sites I've searched) implantation takes 6-10 days and the hormone takes a few more days to show in urine so think 7dpo too early to test, doesn't stop me though!

tea get on the B6 and hopefully it will work. I'm not sure if I should keep taking during 2ww but am doing so....

Spotting stopped thankfully so now just back to waiting and fantasising symptoms...

hartey · 16/02/2011 20:39

P.S Imps7 I wouldn't be down about a BFP - I know it will happen because it already has - and I am very grateful for the family I already have

hartey · 16/02/2011 20:37

Yep I am only 7DPO - but have absolutely no idea how long my LP phase is.

We literally got over-excited the first time the smiley face was seen on the OPK - it was my first month of charting aswell so I don't have much useful info.

Question for any avid charters - on the day I saw my peak CM my temp had already risen - and when I got home I got the smiley face (having already gone through two boxes of sticks) - so even though we SWI it is possible that we missed the boat isn't it?

Imps7 · 16/02/2011 20:31

To be honest you're probably best off not taking POAS from me - I'm the type who does it 1 day past ovulation!

How do you react to BFN? If you're someone who gets properly down about it I probably wouldn't; if you're someone who doesn't get too affected by it then I probably would.

TeaAndOranges · 16/02/2011 20:30

I would definitly test, though I am very test happy Grin.

If you Ovulated on day 29 are you only 7dpo though?

hartey · 16/02/2011 20:26

I really want to test Imps7 but think I should really wait a bit longer - I have had a baby before - happiest accident ever - and I'm still all in a muddle Confused

However there is quite a large Boots chemist opposite my entrance to work - I might just pop over!

Imps7 · 16/02/2011 20:19

YES Hartey .... but then I would have tested at 10 DPO too Blush

hartey · 16/02/2011 20:15

Advice pretty please Grin

In the last five months the longest my cycle has been was 35 days - it was as short as 29 days in that period aswell.

This month I used OPK sticks rather a lot to find out when I was fertile. It was D29 of this current cycle. So we SWI - lots!

Today is D36 - so if my previous longest cycle was 35 days - should I test???

Would you????

TeaAndOranges · 16/02/2011 20:03

thanks bump, really hope you get a bfp this month. I haven't really been trying long, this month will be the fourth month, just seems along time and i'm a panicker at the best of times.

Loup v. intresting about the B6, i knew it was connected with a short LP but thought my pre-conception vitamins would cover it. Have been reading about it on google and looks like a need to take about 200mg a day instead of the 2.6mg which is in the vits! Will be going to Boots tomorrow.

Good luck for Friday Imps - and enjoy Masterchef Grin

Imps7 · 16/02/2011 18:25

Thanks Loup ! Bit irritated because I ordered a job lot of tests from Amazon earlier this week and was really hoping they'd be here for testing tomorrow morning - but they're not. Grr. Will just have to test on Friday instead.

Tea know what you mean about feeling down when you don't feel pregnant - I find myself getting a bit jealous of other people's symptoms even though I know that everyone has different symptoms and some have none at all. The number of times I read threads back when someone's announced a BFP to see what their real symptoms are only to convince myself that I cannot possibly be pg this month because I haven't needed to wee more etc.

Masterchef on tonight - brilliant!

Loup23 · 16/02/2011 16:44

bumpwanted i'm only on ttc cycle 2 but it also took me ages to convince husband so hoping it happens before he changes his mind!

tea i have been obsessively charting too and using a clear blue monitor as DH really wants a boy (girls from previous relationship) that's even more stress!! I don't mind either way just want to be pg! I also usually have a short LP of 9-10 days but this month have taken B6 and agmus castus and O day came 4-5 days earlier than expected so hoping LP has sorted itself out....

Anyway am keeping everything crossed for us and will keep you posted, i have a feeling i'll try a test on 7dpo as have absolutely no will power.....

imps hope the AF stays away and another test shows BFP x

Bumpwanted · 16/02/2011 16:19

Sad tea sorry you are feeling a bit down this month. Have you been trying long?

It is so hard not to think about it and stress but you neer know, if you really don't feel pregnant this month perhaps you will surprise yourself. I have my fingers crossed for you!

I have no right to moan on my first attempt but it took a long time to convince my husband we were financially secure enough to even have a shot at it for one month so it feels like I have been waiting for ages!

TeaAndOranges · 16/02/2011 15:48

I'm much saner than you Bump Grin a cheapo wilkinson's test was used though actually if your test was designed to detect before your missed period then you had at least one foot in reality. Mine says clearly to only use after you are late...

Hope it's good news for you this month if you can't try for so long! Makes it all the more stressful. Because my partner works away some months i have no chance, so when I do i'm always on a knife edge about the whole thing. This month timing was perfect but feel quite down about it and not pregnant for some reason.
