here you go harrizeb a new thread for ya!

sorry to hear about af what a bugger!!

as for the holiday thing i think you should keep ttc if thats what you want to do and sod the other families (sorry to be rude) but its whats important to you that matters not them. itd prob be best to talk to dh and make sure you agree on what you should do about the holiday and maybe even talk to the other parents, im sure they'l understand.

anyone testing soon? hope everyone is well!

Welcome Kleggie, there is always room for a little one. Bottom on pillow is a good idea, think it was suggested by those knowledgable ones that have graduated that you should have sex with your bottom on a pillow too. The day my DH suggested it my jaw nearly hit the floor didn't realise he was that clued up.

MM love the joke - he he, yes we need a topic of conversation. So what genre of books are you into? any fav authors. Not really 'into' TV much myself, any spare time I have, and it ain't much, is reading or umm oh yes sleeping .

Take care

hello- how r we all?

i think we are all somewhat disheartened at the moment as we haven t a BFP for a while so i think its time to roll out my awful jokes again!!!!!!

A man, whose level of drunkenness was bordering on the absurd, stood up to leave a bar and fell flat on his face.

"Maybe all I need is some fresh air," thought the man as he crawled outside.

He tried to stand up again, but fell face first into the mud.

"Sc**w it," he thought. "I'll just crawl home."

The next morning, his wife found him on the doorstep asleep.

"You went out drinking last night, didn't you?" she said.

"Uh, yes," he said sheepishly. "How did you know?"

"You left your wheelchair at the bar again."

now obviously we need other things to chat about other than ttc.......... me being a borderline alcoholic (joke!) will talk of beer!, im not into soaps, only Emmerdale, as im a book addict...... so more ideas and MORE chatting otherwise ill just have to post new jokes everyday.....

debs thanks for you little genius comment. i dont actually feel hes all that brighter than other kids i think its because we have actually bothered to teach him other things instead of just leaving it to the school.

Kleggie - You will just have to take what you're given anyway!!!!

kleggie · 05/10/2005 13:29

Hello...

I've just wandered over from the 'Planning Ahead' thread (think I'm following Jersey). Any room for a little one? It's a shame this thread seems to be quiet as I'm ttc my first and so probably have lots of daft questions to ask you all. I'm pretty much clued up on all the medical and scientific side of conceiving, pregnancy etc but I'm relying on mn for all the other stuff that the books don't seem to answer (should I be lying post-coitus with a pillow under my bum for example!). Like Jersey I'm not technically ttc atm (not being that careful either) as dh and I can't really decide what we're doing. We'd both like a boy first, but I've just stopped taking the pill and would have to wait for my cycle to become regular again before I could bd at the right time to maximise my chances. On the other hand, we really want to conceive asap and are tempted to just get down to it and see what we're given.

I'm also having a bit of a debate with myself as to how hard I 'try'. In a dream world I'd like to just keep bd-ing, not time any of it and see what happens. At the same time, I've seen enough of these threads to know that the window of opportunity ain't getting any bigger and unless I'm doing it at the right time, I could be trying forever. Think dh has his own concerns that he's going to have to perform on cue for the next few months!

Anyway, hope you don't mind me gatecrashing your thread.

Hope to get to know you all a bit better over time. Lots of love and luck to you all

Kleg

Hi Stacey, So sorry to hear about you BFN - you could well be right. I had a similar experience before I fell with DS had a very faint +ve but then AF started about a week later. for you.

Hope everyone else is ok, and I'm up for merging with fat for summer ladies if they'll have us? it is very quiet on here, where is everyone?

Jersey you are welcome to join us now, I think there are a couple of us that have had to put TTC on hold for a little while so you're welcome to come over and chat now if you'd like.

Morning to everyone else. Debbsy sorry I wasn't around last night, helping DS get to sleep as he still can't suck his thumb and we are having to help him learn to go to sleep on his own now. He did really well though only took an hour.

Talk later

jersey · 05/10/2005 09:13

Hi, I'm hovering as not TTC till next month, but keep dipping in and out to get advice as best way to go about things. This will be no. 2, fingers crossed.

Also on planning ahead thread.

All threads seem a little quiet at the moment, hope you don't mind me dropping in?

Debbsywillgetherbeanie · 04/10/2005 19:03

blimey this thread is a waste of time its never been this quiet where is everyone? it used to be so busy

Debbsywillgetherbeanie · 04/10/2005 18:40

wow mm ds waht a litle genius bless hope yor ok Harri hi great to have you back with us xxxx

Harrizeb · 04/10/2005 09:30

Morning ladies,

Looks like everyone has come out of the woodwork at the same time.

How is everyone, I have just heard the best news a friend who had been told because she has blocked tubes the only way she'll get pg is by IVF is PG naturally!!!!! how great is that. The shocked looks on their faces is fab.

DH is off in Manchester this week and then Edinburgh next week so no chance for us this month - to be honest I'm not even going to try and figure out what we need to be doing and when.

Stacey - so sorry hun fingers crossed that it's just too early for you.

MM so glad that DS is better and wow on the reading that's so great - I'm a big reader and am slowly getting DH into it, we're working on DS but he's only 2 so have time yet .

Debbsy how are you doing? how are your invalids? I hope that your Mum is Okay and that your Dad is out of hospital now.

DS has had a nasty accident, he burnt his hand on curling tongs at the hair dressers on saturday - poor little chap he was so brave, but it hurt him so much. He has blisters on his fingers and down his thumb. He sucks his thumb so we are now trying to teach him how to sleep without sucking his thumb, he's learning but it's hard for him.

Any way hope everyone is ok and here's some BD for people it's all gone a little bit quiet on here....

Ds is feeling much better and went back to school today! and < very proud mum alert!> the teacher asked for a meeting- she says he very advanced with his reading for his age and wants to put him on the next level reading books! im sooo proud. both myself and dh are huge readers and have been teaching him at home.... im so glad its been recognised. Most kids his age are just learning a few words but he can read an awful lot!!!!! < shut up!>
sorry .....

anyhow hope everyone is doing well.... debs how are you?

thanks for all asking how ds is. had a hell of a day at work!..

im currently in my fertile phase but am avoiding bding this month, as i ve already explained.... so its not full steam ahead until next month....

JAG123 · 03/10/2005 14:16

Hi Ladies

MM - Hope your DS gets better soon. My DD was poorly a few weeks back. I hate to see her like that rather be ill myself than her. It reminds me how much she is still a baby really. (She will always be my baby even when she's 21).

Stacey - Good luck hope you get your BFP.

I've still not got much to say in the 2ww think that AF is prob due around the weekend but i'm still not going to check dates because i don't want to get worked up. Have had the stitch pain in left side again like last month so not holding out much hope. Although last month it was continuous & this month only really had twice. It's really sharp though not like AF cramps prob completely unrelated.

Well i did have a lot to say after all

Hope the rest of you are all keeping well.

Take Care
J x

Im in the boring 2 week wait. I never know whether to act as if I may be pregant, ie drink/medication food etc
