Had an mc and need some wine, chocolate and somewhere to moan and cry? This is the place to be! We chat a LOT so it can be hard to keep up, but everyone on here is great and will hold your hand until you get your BFP.

MERRY CHRISTMAS (or rather...MERRY BOXING DAY!)

soooo sorry I've been MIA, on Thursday I was weeping gently to myself as I tried to finish off Christmas shopping, on Friday I was at work crossing things off my To Do Before The Year Finishes And Everything Explodes in Tinsel list. Then had to wrap and tidy and then, well, you know..family...sheesh.

So, I've been sneakily reading on my iPhone but hate posting from it. Now..to catch up properly.

Firstly...

Mousebacon great news on the scan! Fantastic!!!!!!

Secondly...

OrangesHasAFullFruitBasket congratulations m'dear!!!! you're up diffed! preggo! baking a bun! Oh well done, and I particularly liked that you walked away from the test and came back to it. I let out a little squeak when I read your two posts. Grin

Nickster glad you started to recover in time for Christmas eating. Were you able to taste the pudding? Don't worry about the scan , we'll all be here to see you through it, but try not to panic until the morning of it, that's allowable and nothing we say will stop you but too much panicking in advance is not good.

Kat I see your boob pain at 5 dpo and raise you boob pain at 3dpo. Blush. Honest, I swear. I didn't even poke them much.

Dachs not a terribly inspiring letter, but I agree they are officially 'managing your expectations' (hits head against wall in hatred that this phrase has embedded itself in my brain). I really hope the next round proves them wrong.

Izzy at the boiler annoyance. Did it get fixed in the end? Sorry about the temperature plunge and no NYE BFP. Roll on 2011 huh?

YouRemindMe can I have your number pls, to put on speed-dial instead of useless plumbers who just suck teeth and say ker-ching!

DAncerandRudolf sorry about the chest infection - my DS has the same the cough seems to drag on forever, even with the ABs. It's possible that the sickness caused the chemical preg, or it could have been a problem with the cell division. Either way, it's extremely unlikely that it was a problem with you. Good that your GP knows about it though, I think.

Choccy how are you doing with the wait?

MeltingSnowySunChild when do you think you OVed? Those are all good symptoms - but sore boobs for me are just a classic TWW 'fooled you' symptom. Can you just nip out to a local pharmacy (for some 'tissues') when you get where you're going?

Oh I see Izzy has just said all the same things

Hiding good to have you back, and totally understand about the need to step back from MN sometimes, especially after a bad session.

Waves to LovesBeingSantasGirl, Wombatty, PinkChristmasCake, OwlBootilicious, MamaChrissy,

oh...and...who tortured themselves watching OneBornAtChristmas??? eh eh? come on now, fess up...you sneaked a peek, didn't you.

HidingUnderTheTreeWithSanta · 26/12/2010 13:48

Hello! [scatters prezzies and mince pies across the room]

I'm sorry I haven't been on for ages. Haven't had a chace catch up yet but will do.

I had a bit of a breakdown last Sunday after spending the whole day with BiL and his 3 gorgeous little boys. I just about made through the day without any tears but pretty much lost it as soon as me and dp got on the train home. By the time I was home a was a wailing and crying and generally a but of a state. Poor dp was lovely as always but I kinda needed a bit of a mn break afterwards so haven't been on since.

Feeling much better now though so am back for frolics and fun. Hope everyone had a great Christmas xxx

DontEatOrangeSnow · 26/12/2010 11:42

snowy I'd sneak out and buy a test but it's still early days for a BFP? There's no way you have jinxed anything. My dh is like that, his favourite line was its not the end of the world if you're not. Everything is crossed for you and choccy

Izzy sorry it seems like she's on her way. Bring on 2011 and a fresh start

I've just managed to buy some awesome Carvella shoes without even leaving the house [pleased with myself emoticon]

snowysunchild · 26/12/2010 11:23

Aww Izzy bugger bugger... You sound quite pragmatic though, onwards and upwards for a New Year :) A New Year is a brand new start to putting the crap that 2010 has been for all of us!..

I think I might haved ovulated around the 14th Dec, which would put me at about 12dpo - ish. Its hard to tell, cos of not temping. But we had lots of sex in the fertile window..

My body likes to play tricks on me.

Feel like the witch is coming any second, have been crampy too.

Told DH and he is of the opinion that we need to wait a bit longer.

Arrggh..

please let me not have jinxed things

Not a peep from choccy hope all is ok..

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 26/12/2010 11:05

snowy cycle length and symptoms sound good - amy idea when you ov'd? Might be that you just tested too early? Can you nip out under the pretence of getting some last minute essentials and pick up a few cheapie tests to keep you going while you're away?

Will keep my fx for you and also choccy - any news?

Cd25 here and spotting started yesterday, continuing today and this morning temps plummeted through the coverline so hard I almost heard them hit the bottom - so it's game over here for 2010 and I'm just waiting for af to arrive in earnest so I can reset the cbfm and do my final list update on here. Should have known a NYE bfp was too lovely to hope for! Bring on 2011!!!!!

snowysunchild · 26/12/2010 10:37

Oh and no tests left in house... Think thats kind of important to note....

Driving to Yorkshire tomorrow too.

Ahhhh need some support! Can't tell DH cos he is too pragmatic and wont humour me with symptom spotting. He has the "what will be, will be..." attitude..

ARRRRGH

snowysunchild · 26/12/2010 10:35

Frightened of Jinxing things.... Frightened of being hopeful.

Am on CD25 (longest cycle length for past 6 cycles)

Did FRER yesterday BFN

Had sore breasts for a couple of days. Today they are SO sore. I seem to have loads of the wee white bumps on the nipples and maybe bluey veins too (Im not the palest skinned though)

HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 25/12/2010 00:02

Just a quick message to wish you all a merry Christmas - I hope you get everything you want, goodness knows you all deserve it. You're all fantastic and I don't know how I would have managed since July without you all. Big huge (((hugs))) to all x

And choccy I'm keeping my suspenders on for you...

orestyemerrywombat · 24/12/2010 17:16

Whoop! Orange!! Congrats! What a fab start to christmas!

Looking forward to sharing lots of exciting times with you all in 2011! xxx Xmas Grin

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 24/12/2010 15:31

MERRY CHRISTMAS FOLKS XX

DontEatOrangeSnow · 24/12/2010 14:39

Hehe yeah! DH did say I obviously had a lot on my mind when we packed!

RudolfThePinkNosedReindeer · 24/12/2010 14:32

orange it's a good sign-clearly pregnancy brain has kicked in early this time!!

DontEatOrangeSnow · 24/12/2010 14:30

Thanks everyone Xmas Grin have been travelling to in-laws, and now stuck in a car park having forgot half the food I was bringing Xmas Blush I also resisted the urge to buy more tests

Nix I think I actually forgot my necklace too!
Pink good shopping basket, you should get condoms as well next time to really throw em!

If I don't see any of you over the next few days, have a fab relaxing Christmas

RudolfThePinkNosedReindeer · 24/12/2010 12:58

Thought I'd share the details of an amusing trip to Boots just now: in my basket-lunch, conception vits, pile of preg tests ( buy one get one free!), thrush tablet. By the way, before I start story, turns out thrush is the reason DH was getting broken Xmas Blush!!

So lady puts my stuff through: "oh, you can't have the thrush tablet if you might be pregnant"
Me: "ok fine, I'm not pregnant so that's ok"
Her: "yes but if you're pregnant one of the first symptoms can be lots of mucus which can look like thrush, but it's not"
Me (in my head): " oh yeah, tell me about it-I know far too much about CM for my own good"
Me: "oh ok, well still, I'm not pregnant so it's fine"
Her: "you might be and not know it yet, hence the tests??"
Me: "a girl can never have too many sticks to pee on. Plus I'm on my period so I can be pretty sure I'm not pregnant, thanks for the advice anyway"

Hahaha I can't believe this is what my life has come to!!! Xmas Grin will be more careful about the combo of products that go into my basket next time!!!

Have a lovely chrimbo and new year everyone!!! May 2011 be covered in baby puke one and all Xmas Grin xxxx

snowysunchild · 24/12/2010 12:25

Yay Orange fab fab fab :D

SO happy for you!!

HAVE A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!

RudolfThePinkNosedReindeer · 24/12/2010 11:19

HongKongSantaBaby · 24/12/2010 11:11

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 24/12/2010 10:48

What a very merry christmas for you xxxxxx

(ps can i have your necklace now?!?!?! Xmas Grin)

youremindmeofthebaubles · 24/12/2010 10:28

Woohoo orange! that's fabe news!!

Hope you all have lovely xmasses, I'm off soon to do the rounds and likely as not won't be back till around the 29th. Will try and pop in if I can.

Wishing you and yours a very merry Christmas. I'm gonna enjoy the bubbly

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 24/12/2010 09:06

orange !!!! Whoop whoop whoop!!! What fab news!!! Xmas Grin Xmas Grin Xmas Grin

kat2504 · 24/12/2010 06:46

orange!!!!! congratulations am thrilled for you. What a fantastic Xmas!! 1-2 weeks means since conception therefore 3-4 weeks in the normal preg counting system. This means you are less than 15 dpo? Anyway the weeks thing is not an exact science because of the huge variation in hormone levels.

RudolfThePinkNosedReindeer · 24/12/2010 06:37

orange whoop whoop whoop whoop Xmas Grin Xmas Grin Xmas Grin Xmas Grin that is fabulous news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bloody hell it's about time someone got some frigging decent news round here! I was wondering if you had cheapies-when I was thinking about buying them I looked at the reviews on amazon and quite a few people have had same experience as you and are warning people off them.... Wow, Christmas prezzie and a half!!

chocs nice to hear from you mate! I'm only s few miles south of you at the mo!! I was just thinking that pee sticks is pretty much the one thing that service stations don't sell. Defo stop on way and get some. Really hope for some good news for you too hun.

dachs work buddy! Nave s good day today matey. Sorry about consultant letter, I agree with everything mamac the voice of calm says though, prove him wrong!! I need to carry mamac round in my pocket all day so that she can talk sense into me when I'm being weird, which sadly is a lot more again this month stupid pee stick grrr

I freaked DH out last night-we'd gone out got dinner and all was lovely until massive preg woman and hubby came in and sat nearby and then spent all evening rubbing her belly and writing suggested baby names in her little book Xmas Sad DH was oblivious to this until he was getting radio silence from me because I was too busy staring At her wondering why they were on their table being all excited and smug and I was on my table wondering why it's not the other way round for us Xmas Sad sigh.

Anyway have safe drives everyone and have a lovely Christmas and new year!! Next year HAS to be better for all of us..... Enjoy all the cake and choccies cos theyre all going to be replaced by rabbit food in this room next year! Detox tactic! Whoop! Xxxxx

DontEatOrangeSnow · 24/12/2010 05:40

I used the CB Digital and was so uninspired I left it and went off. Came back to a BFP!! 1-2 weeks Xmas Grin Now I don't know what that means as I threw the instructions away in a strop last time. I really had given up too
