Had an mc and need some wine, chocolate and somewhere to moan and cry? This is the place to be! We chat a LOT so it can be hard to keep up, but everyone on here is great and will hold your hand until you get your BFP.

Owls? Nope, but I can see I led you up the garden path by spelling "who" wrongly... Think more ostrich-sized...

DontEatOrangeSnow · 01/12/2010 21:39

mummy oops sorry I hadn't paid enough attention Blush in that case I hope you get AF soon

nix you're right I shouldn't OV yet on past cycle history, think I'll keep OPKing just in case :) I hope you're all rested and bean is comfy Xmas Grin

Owls??????????

MyWordWhatAnEnormousTurkey · 01/12/2010 21:29

Wow! Why are you lot pissed? Oh, I see... Anyway, slightly belatedly, I would like to set up in the corner one of those things you get in European streets that caramelise almonds and make everywhere smell fantastic. Hope we have no nut allergy sufferers. Just in case, I'm also popping a virtual epipen in the corner too. I see we already have peanuts and brazil nuts by the bucketload, so maybe I shouldn't have worried..

Hope you like the Christmassed name (it is December now, at least!)... but can you work out whoo?

Rudolf - you missed one out of your egg-nog survey.... if you have mega egg-nog, does that mean:
(a) you've ov'd
(b) you are ov'ing
(c) you are about to ov
(d) you are about to get very drunk
(e) you are a giant bird and intended to lay an egg but squeezed too hard and cracked it on the way out...
I think the answer to the original question was (c). And I know I can't count.

Izzy - chart looking beautiful there dear... fingers very crossed.

MummyB - hope you get some answers soon about where you are cycle-wise, but glad you've had some reassurance from the collective experts here!

Orange - as long as you don't slap yourself with a frozen haddock... any possibility your cycles have been reset at a different level after MC? Mine were completely different post-DD compared to pre-. Just a thought..

Sunchild - sounds very exciting up there! Are you getting any post through? Internet cheapie sticks?

Nix - LOL at the 6000 mile willy. Trust you to think of that..

Bee - glad you had a lovely day. I know what you mean about worrying about the timing of success of RL TTC buddies, as am in a similar boat.

Hello to everyone else! Xmas Wink

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 01/12/2010 21:08

Bee* its nice that you have the RL TTC companionship/support if you like although wishing better circumstances for both!! Brave lady venturing out in the snow... i am MK tomorrow from home and i am training it!! do not fancy being stuck on the M1

Donteatorangesnow - I am in the WTF zone too - mild ovulation symptoms and a teensy faint line on the stick yesterday but nothing today. Lots and Lots of zits though - like aobut twenty all down one side and across my skin!! :(

I have booked the acupuncturist that 'got my sister pregnant' so to speak - or at least helped. She says she would like to treat me for three months to make a correct chinese medicine diagnosis and to strengthen my system for the best possible chance.

Roll on a week Saturday!

(although not sure if I will be able to try not to conceive!).

Wave to all.

LadybeenKissingSantaClaus · 01/12/2010 20:55

Chrismizzy your chart is a thing of beauty m'dear. And to answer your question, nope, the only time I've seen a rise like that on my chart has been when I got a BFP.
I am of course hoping that I follow in your footsteps this time around - sorry, I did attempt to be more circumspect, but it just makes me feel very positive.

StNix it's such a shame what miscarriage does to subsequent pregnancy. It turns what should be a nervous but excited feeling into the most complicated web of emotions to negotiate. Especially in the very early days when you get lots of twinges and random cramping anyway.

Had a lovely day today, we were going to stay at home but a friend called and invited us for lunch so got on a bus and stomped through snowy pavements to enjoy some soup and see our little ones play with each other while we gossiped over small cakes. Yum. We're both ttc #2 at the moment - she uses IUI and I've had the MCs so we're both quite aware that it's not a straightforward business for either of us. We know each other's cycles roughly so now that one or other of us is likely to be going slowly mad while the other is scraping themselves off the floor and starting over.
I worry a little about what happens when one of succeeds, if the other doesn't. But we'll cross that bridge when if we get to it.

Just counting down the days now.

Freezingmyarseoff · 01/12/2010 19:44

Marking my spot before another thread zooms by and I lose you lovely ladies altogether.

not long now mummy, best hope you get home safely in the snow otherwise Mr Mummy will need a 6000 mile long willy!

Orange if your pre mc cycles were like me, 35 days would your ov date not be around CD20? but i suppose you still dont know cos they are a bit all over the place after an MC arent they. I quite literally tested every day twice a day last cycle til i got a positive over 2 days :) cheapies make it worth it.

Golly its wonderful having a bfp it really is, but my god, every twinge/cramp/tummy ache/wetness down there/ etc etc especially an MC is so highlighted even more.. so worrying. Trying to pretend chill out and relax about it... but thats not working! Hmm one day at a time, thats what my mum said.

will too be logging in very early for a temp update izz mcwizzchristmas!

MummyBellsAllTheWay · 01/12/2010 17:46

wombatXmas Grin at charging, and the really good part is that I came to you lot before the doctor! Blush

orange I am afraid I am not in the running for BFP and wont be for some time yet, just had an op for Ashermans syndrome, (cervix was scarred shut), I have a coil fitted, I am on oestrogen supplements AND dh is 6000 miles away in another country! Never fear though, I will soon have these small Xmas Grin hurdles sorted out and will be back on the testing band wagon! Xmas Grin hope your ov comes soon, I reckon you must want it about as much as I want AF!

Izz I will be logging in bright and early tomorrow to see what your temps are doing [ wink]Grin

DontEatOrangeSnow · 01/12/2010 16:57

Still good news then izzy, 12 days is goood

I've OPKd and got a fairly good line day 13 and 14, but nothing today, and my pre-mc CL was 35. I also had EW-ish CM, but not tempd this month

wombat I don't think I'd get a share I'm pretty clueless Xmas Grin

orestyemerrywombat · 01/12/2010 16:25

Xmas Grin Mummybells that's great news. Does that mean we as a thread can rent out our services to the MN masses at £500 an hour?!?! Xmas GrinXmas Grin

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 01/12/2010 16:22

mummybells that's great news! And it's good to know we were right and therefore can claim the collective expertise of your top doctor Xmas Grin

I will probably poas on Friday (14dpo) but not expecting anything due to spotting today (boo!). Good news is that AF has not fully arrived yet which means I definitely have a 12 day luteal phase this month. I mean, clearly I'd rather have a 38-week luteal phase, but hey, I'll take what I can get right now!!!

Re whether you've ov'd or not: are you temping or using opks or anything? Just wondered if you could get any clues that way?

DontEatOrangeSnow · 01/12/2010 16:13

Can't believe how cold it is, just bought new gloves Xmas Grin actually been shopping and all I've bought is stuff for me Xmas Blush

Got myself worried today because i'm not sure I've OV or not, but I suppose its only cycle 1, so it could still be WTF we're SWI pretty much every day, but it's just knowing when I can test

mummyB glad you've been reassured, so when do you test? I just want more good news Xmas Grin
izzy same question?!

youremindmeofthebaubles · 01/12/2010 16:02

That's fab news, mummy. Time to kick back! xx

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 01/12/2010 15:39

FAB mummyxxxxx enjoy your chocolate x

PS have you stocked up on lots of goodies to take home with you!? hope you are shipping lots of tea and marmite and chocolate home as we speak x

MummyBellsAllTheWay · 01/12/2010 15:24

Dr emailed me and said not to worry! Phew phew phew! He agrees with you lot Xmas Grin that it is probably caused by the coil and or oestrogen. Panic over. Back to eating chocolate and watching weather reports. Xmas Smile

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 01/12/2010 13:24

awww, thank you mummybells , I feel special now...

nix stop getting over-excited, it's not good for you in your condition Xmas Grin. velvet -do not worry, you are the voice of reason on this point!!

mummybells I think ff is probably right and therefore you're ok - have you managed to speak to dr yet?

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 01/12/2010 12:37

Go Izz, Go Izz, Go Izz.... still think its a good temp hike, thats the same as mine Xmas Grin

MummyBellsAllTheWay · 01/12/2010 12:31

this certificate of achievement is herby awarded to izzywizzyletsgetchristmassy for oustanding performance in the area of increased luteal phase and achieving recognised triphasic chart on FF

Xmas Grin
Velvetstocking · 01/12/2010 12:08

Sorry Izz didnt mean to be negative its just I know I get carried away with the optimism on here! Your chart does definately look good! Do you have any other symptoms to go with it?

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 01/12/2010 11:44

I am loving your optimism, ladies! Xmas Grin.

Sadly however I think velvet's probably right: now I think about it I have had spotting before AF on last two cycles...I'm just getting carried away with my luteal phase and ff telling me that my chart was "possible triphasic at day 24". Can I get some kind of award for that even if I'm not pg?!

I would be 14dpo on Friday so I'll poas then if it's not resolved (well actually I'll probably poas anyway just in case!). Anyone else here had the triphasic thing on a normal cycle?

Still loving the xmassy names...

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 01/12/2010 11:42

snowysunchild i think from what people have said on here re LP, acupuncture has helped but also Bvits...?

christmascaribouMoo No?

Izz that chart is defo looking good :)
