Had an mc and need some wine, chocolate and somewhere to moan and cry? This is the place to be! We chat a LOT so it can be hard to keep up, but everyone on here is great and will hold your hand until you get your BFP.

I dont know what's going on this month! My temps still havent risen but then they didnt exactly go back down to last months coverline either! Experienced tempers please help! Are the temps for each cycle independent of each other or should there be a pattern?

Wombat considered yourself haddocked :)

orestyemerrywombat · 03/12/2010 18:56

Thanks Izz - I'm not giving up yet though I suspect I'm going to be paying a few more visits to that vat of wine/despair before my journey concludes!

LOVE IT DACHS!!!

DachshingThroTheSnow · 03/12/2010 18:45

wombat Good luck tomorrow - it ain't over until AF shows up. Like the new name?

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 03/12/2010 18:41

wombat I'm afraid I don't have the heart to fish slap you because (a) I was just the same this month and (b) i would love to see you get a bfp and don't want you to give up Xmas Grin

I hope you get an answer one way or another tomorrow though! X

orestyemerrywombat · 03/12/2010 18:38

Ladies I need some serious fish slapping! I have all the symptoms of impending AF inc temps plummeting this morning to just above the coverline and 3 BFNs Xmas Blush and I'm still clinging to hope. I know I'm setting myself up to feel crushed tomorrow but I can't seem to help it. My boobs are sooo sore and I've got weird creamy/ewcm Xmas BlushXmas Hmm

snowysunchild · 03/12/2010 18:08

Just editing me down the list a bit, feeling much better this afternoon. Had DH home coz of snow/cold mucking up the trains, so we are just back from a 2 hour trek in the snow. It has cleared my cobwebs so to speak..

Izzy aww babe thats hard, I still get bloody stuff from all the the things I signed up for. Despite emailing them etc. Makes me sad each time.

Hang in there girls. Its bloody hard trying to be positive and we are all entitled to our down day... Much love to you all.

kat sorry she got you, full points for positivity though Smile. I think I've had my full-on strop this month but feel better now I'm on cd2 and just starting to accept it all. Struggled a bit today when a newborn sized reusable nappy I'd sent off for out of the bounty pack after my 13 week scan turned up (I thought I'd cancelled everything - apparently not!). Dh found my crying over this teeny little nappy Blush but we had a good chat and he pointed out that it took us 8-9 months each time to conceive ds and dd and we shouldnt really expect it to ve miraculously quick this time. He also said we shouldn't have this arbitrary deadline of a year after the mc, but just keep going as long as we both want to. So I think, especially now I've missed the pg-before-due date thing, it feels like the pressure's off a bit which is definitely a good thing. I do believe it will happen; it's just going to take time, but actually that's normal.

So I've been to the gym for a good run to blow away the cobwebs and going to settle down with dh and a nice bottle of wine tonight. the due date will be difficult but as mummybells said at least I can deal with that before focusing on the (fx) next baby. Thanks all for being so lovely yesterday - you're brilliant x

tigger sorry about af and no ov - hope the appt goes well and you get some answers x

emoo don't give up - it's still very early days and your dh probably needs a chance to get his head around everything. Hope you manage to work it out x

anyway just reporting list as I and some others had lost a day - cd1 was horrible this month and I don't want to go back there Xmas Smile

kat2504 · 03/12/2010 17:34

Am still a bit obsessive but am trying to improve. I have the CBFM so that will take some of the guesswork out and I can feel that I'm doing the best I can. I have NOT ordered any more hpt's off the internet. I have just one first response at home and have decided I will use it either on NYE or 12 days after ovulation, whichever is sooner. All that testing was doing my head in, and taking more tests did not magically get me diffed.

orestyemerrywombat · 03/12/2010 17:31

I need a little bit (a bucket load!!) of whatever you're doing/taking to manage not to obsess Xmas GrinXmas Grin

kat2504 · 03/12/2010 17:22

Thanks! Last month I had a major strop/cry and don't really want to be doing that every four weeks. Am trying to take the pressure off a bit and avoid thinking about conception all day every day for the time being.

orestyemerrywombat · 03/12/2010 17:18

Wow Kat. I'm so impressed with your positivity!!

kat2504 · 03/12/2010 17:16

RTD came for me too today so back to the bottom of the list. Knew it was coming for the last few days, so disappointed but glad not to have been kept waiting too long and pleased that it is exactly 14 days after first peak day on CBFM. Couldn't have tried much harder this month but my next testing day is New Year's Eve, hope that will be luckier. Being philosophical about it, am only 4 months post MC, average time to conceieve is six months isn't it? So any time in the next two months will still be on the luckier than average side. Off to drink wine with friends tonight :)

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 03/12/2010 15:57

emoo when he is ready talk to him about a sibling for dc, its certainly helped mine lovely xxx thinking of you xx

hello again! Orange i got really wierd odd symptoms in the wtf!! anything is possible

well i am feeling ok, slept like a log last night! Work is crazy at the min but hoping it will ease off come jan! I am starting to get a lot of CM (yuk) and boobs changed but thats it. I have poas today and the line is def darker on the cheapies. Everytime i think about it/scan/ though i break out in a cold sweat of terror so i am in denial !!!

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 03/12/2010 15:44

Im so sorry emoo/turky Im so so sorry. Please take a step back and ease of a bit. My DH was exactly the same after we MC, wouldnt even contemplate TTC another. When he has time to grieve, get head round it im sure he will participate. so sorry lovely. we are here as and when you need us.

Sorry been awol lovelies, had to work again this morning (extra pennies for christmas, urm actially no, current project!! but extra days does equal extra pennies as i am PT whoop!)

Took DS sledging this aft, it was fab, just in a field but so so so very bitterly cold! now wrapped up in the house wiht hot chocolate :) watching BEDKNOBS AND BROOMSTICKS!

sunnysnowchildglad you feel a little more pos today, CD1 is always hideous i find. Glad izz can help with LP. lots of posters on here saying they increase their lp 1 day per cycle wiht acup.

MamaChristmas · 03/12/2010 13:30

Bird (Emoo/Turkey), so sorry babe! Give it time and the break may take the pressure of you both to think, he may have a change of heart... not sure where to direct you I'm sure someone else will have some helpful advice! Big hugs xxx

orestyemerrywombat · 03/12/2010 13:17

Oh Turkey I'm sorry the chat with DH did not go well. Could it be that the loss is still too new and raw for him and he is finding it more difficullt to deal with than he is able to show? I'm sure a I read a thread on here somewhere right after my MC about DHs initially being very reluctant to try again because of the pain and upset for them and their DWs but then changing their minds after a while. I don't want to create false hope as I obviously don't know what was said between you last night but maybe all is not lost?

Feel free to keep posting/lurking on here as long as you like. We will always do our best to support you. I don't know of any other established threads that might help, someone else might be along shortly with an idea, but maybe you could start one on the conception or MC boards - I'm certain there will be others in the same situation xxx

MyWordWhatAnEnormousTurkey · 03/12/2010 12:47

Hi ladies, Sad
I don't think I get to make a fresh start. Chat last night with DH did not go well, ttc#2 is apparently now off the menu. I am in pieces. I don't think here is the right place to talk through all the issues - can anyone direct me to somewhere a bit more appropriate?
And I think I'd better come off your list, please.
I do wish you all the very best of luck, and may lurk a little to see how you get on.
x

DontEatOrangeSnow · 03/12/2010 11:40

Sorry for the 2x posts Xmas Blush

DontEatOrangeSnow · 03/12/2010 11:39

Morning/afternoon everyone

I am so sorry to see so many of you lovely ladies having a particularly tough time at the moment (((( hugs )))) mulled wine and mince pies all round. I am only cycle 1 so am a little nervous as it feels like looking into my future

My OPKs are all blank now, but am still testing for another few days just in case I misread, and am drinking grapefruit and pineapple :) DH leaves tomorrow so it will be game over this month

Anyone else get big boobs and weird stomach mid cycle? I wonder if it cos I might still be WTF Confused

daddysgirl i agree with the other comments, you shouldn't go if you don't feel up to it, I'm sorry you're going through all this

orestyemerrywombat · 03/12/2010 10:44

Daddysgirl I totally agree with Izzy - go only if you feel like it. People know about your dad, so without even having to say anything about the MC they will cut you some slack if you decide not to go, pull out at the last minute or decide halfway through you're not feeling up to it and need to go home. I'm sorry about your Dad and that you're having a terrible time at the moment. I hope things go as well as possible on Tuesday.

Snowy I'm afraid I don't know much about lengthening your LP, but Izzy and MamaC give good advice! Morning and hugs to both of you.

Hi Ladyb, how are you? Our DPs sound quite similar in their response to it. Mine has only really shown any sadness for himself (as opposed to concern about me) in the last few days when we were at the hospital for the birth of my friend's baby. The pains are a mixture of general aches but v much in the womb/bladder region and the crampy type pains I got just before and during the MC. I can't seem to pinpoint exactly when they happen, though I do know they've been uncomfy the last couple of days and each day after SWI Xmas Blush

Baubles congrats on the boots!! I've never noticed comps on here. where are they??

Tigger good luck with the appointment (or have you allready had it?).

Turkey glad the scan was 'clear' that's promising news. 'Hopefully' you'll get your bfn soon and then you'll be ready to make a fresh start. It's so hard when it's dragging on.

Waves to Caribou, MummyB, A&R and Velvet.

Anyone heard from Inbetweener? *If you're out there, I hope you are bearing up okay xxx

MamaChristmas · 03/12/2010 10:09

Snowy it has made me smile to see you here this morning. I also have a short LP, 8 days! My GP did not take me seriously at all, in fact I was made to feel like a time waster! However, I did manage to see a locum one day and she kindly referred me for bloods, 7DPO, this revealed that my (now I always get muddled here but whichever it is you need to increase following ov to retain - oestrogen/progesterone), had indeed reached a really good level. The GP that gave me my blood results was quite nasty as if I was just fussing over nothing, however, she did reassure me that it is not necessarily the length of the LP that is important in retaining but the rise in... oestrogen/progesterone! I did check this with a friend who is a GP and she did agree with this advice. Although I have to say, when we move I shall be looking to register with a GP who has Gynae as a specialist interest.

Hi izzy hope you are feeling ok this morning x

snowysunchild · 03/12/2010 09:50

Sorry Izzy cross post. Ive not been temping as get up in the night to wee! I have a bbt so maybe I should try it properly. I just have been going on ewcm for ovulating. But yeah I think I need to try temping more seriously.

Off to look at your charts! - Thanks really appreciate your help :)

snowysunchild · 03/12/2010 09:47

Izzy thanks :) I think my luteal phase is about 10 days, which sounds better than yours, but its ths short cycles that really worry me. Ive always been on the 26-28 range, and since the m/c they've all been so short. I'm taking a fancy pregnancy vitamin complex (an expensive one from a independant health food shop) that I started after the m/c, I got the pregnancy one because the shop asst convinced me that Id be pregnant again soon! Maybe I should change to the ttc one.

I don't want to go to the dr or be referred for fertility, cos like you I have 2 kids, and the whole "medicalised" thing. We had set ourselves the deadline of DD's 5th birthday to be pregnant by. Of course that was about a fortnight ago.

DH said last night that he was disappointed too, and that made me feel so much better, as he is usually so quiet. He kept saying it was ok to feel so disappointed. I think he's realised that I need him to show some emotion too. But I can't help being so teary.

Sorry for being so "me me me"..

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 03/12/2010 09:37

sunchild if you click here it should show you my graphs, if you scroll down you'll see how different the last cycle was from the two that went before.

Have you tried temping to check that you're pinpointing ov accurately and therefore your lp definitely is a problem? Or are you doing opks?

daddysgirl I think it depends on how you feel tbh. Sometimes going out seemed such a major hassle post-mc and I just couldn't face it, but at other tines it really helped to just get a change of scene. Everyone knew about mine though (was 16 weeks so had gone public) which in a way made it easier x
