Had an mc and need some wine, chocolate and somewhere to moan and cry? This is the place to be! We chat a LOT so it can be hard to keep up, but everyone on here is great and will hold your hand until you get your BFP.

mouse lovely poem Xmas Smile

tigger good work on sorting out the appointment, fx you manage to get some answers. Please let us know how you get on x

daddysgirl I think it depends on when you feel ready. At least wait until all bleeding stopped, I think I also read somewhere to leave it 2 weeks to minimise risk of infection. Mind you I had an ERPC so not sure if it's the same for natural mc?

baubles good look with the temping, I find it strangely empowering!

nix sorry for lack of sleep, that's the worst!! Neither of mine were particularly ill with the pox, just itchy and marigold cream dealt with that ok - but it sounds like cream's not an option for you? Hope the homeo remedy works...

mummybells where are you now? If you're not back in CR yet, have a safe journey. Has AF arrived yet? Give us a wave when you can and let us know how you're doing x

sunchild and kat hope you're doing ok today? X

Grumble grumble grubmble.... better now have coffee Xmas Grin

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 05/12/2010 08:36

Lovely poem mousey!, Love i would wait until you are physically and mentally ready and that could be any time. Too early and you could end up wiht an infection.

Pox has proven a nightmare for night 1... i have been up with DS since 1.30am and he didnt go back to sleep til 5....and then got up for the day bright as a button at half seven.!! I am making my one coffee a strong one. baublebabe thanks for the tips, have a homeo remedy for the itching for him but ready with a bottle of piriton if i need it! He wont tolerate cream or calamine lotion so am goosed Xmas Hmm

Recorded slumdog, i love it also. Sadly i watched XF although i was reading at the same time... DULL DULL DULL. Matt fab, cheryl too orange, overall boring!! Might watch SM today rather than Polar Express for the 5th time in 3 days Xmas Grin

LoveBeingADaddysGirl · 05/12/2010 02:22

Ho ladies just wondered when can I have sex again after mc?

tigger15 · 04/12/2010 23:27

Appointment isn't until just before Christmas so I'll fill you in when it happens. Thanks for the messages.

youremindmeofthebaubles · 04/12/2010 21:38

Tonight I am inordinately excited by my new ff chart with temps and some evidence of ovulation! Simple things, huh? as soon as I work out how to post it, i'll show you! ha.

Got half an eye on Slumdog Millionaire, I love this film. Wish I looked like Frieda Pinto.

Have you been watching x-factor?

mamac Glad you're trying to stay positive, it's difficult. I'm doing the same this month, I probably rattle with all the vit supplements I'm taking now!

izz how are you feeling? Hope the bottle of wine helped yesterday?

nix chickenpox in the day was ok with our ds, it was the nightime. He had socks tied to his hands at night. Spots on his willy and in his bumcrack, the poor love. Loving the bears!

mouse thats a lovely poem.Xmas Smile

mousebacon · 04/12/2010 20:54

Hi ladies, sorry so many of you are having a tough time. I just wanted to share a poem that has helped me through some of the dark, dark weeks in the aftermath of the mc. It was posted on another thread and I printed it out and took it to work in my pocket.

Don?t Give Up

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
when the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
when the funds are low and the debts are high,
and you want to smile but you have to sigh,
when care is pressing you down a bit - rest if you must,
but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns.
As everyone of us sometimes learns.
And many a fellow turns about
when he might have won had he stuck it out.
Don't give up though the pace seems slow - you may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than it seems to a faint and faltering man;
often the struggler has given up when he might have captured the victor's cup;
and he learned too late when the night came down,
how close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out - the silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
and when you never can tell how close you are,
it may be near when it seems afar;
so stick to the fight when you're hardest hit - it's when things seem worst,
you must not quit.

I really, genuinely hope there are brighter times ahead for all of us xxxxx

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 04/12/2010 20:47

No need to apologise mamac positivity is always good! Xmas Smile

Anyway I am determined not to wallow in self-pity any more. So I gave myself an almighty kick up the arse and we got dressed up and took the DCs out for a Chinese. I figure this sort of thing is going to be much harder when - not if - the next baby finally comes along so we should just chill out and enjoy being able to do it now.

MamaChristmas · 04/12/2010 19:08

ugh, spelling on earlier post was shocking!! It must be the excitement of the thought of peeing on an opk in the morning Xmas Grin
Is it just me or does anyone else want to give Ann Widdecombe a good shoeing?!!! Desperate TV!

Lazy day today as DS has full blown chicken pox and is covered from head to foot in spotty blisters! Good for a rest anyway, after the monster week or so i have had....and have still not finished my wallpaper! Hopefully tonights xfactor bore will spur me on to watch the walls dry Xmas Grin

Mummy are you mummybackabroad yet? hopefully you have had a safe journey and are back in the arms of your beloved xx

MamaChristmas · 04/12/2010 14:11

ps sorry for my overly enthusiastic post... just trying to keep my spirits up or I'll crumble into pieces and I don't want to go there if i can help it...big hugs Kat and izzy

MamaChristmas · 04/12/2010 14:09

I am taking action in an effort to stay uber positive this cycle... just bought me some CB, smiley face, you're about to ov, pee sticks! No point temping because I am an insomniac... tried it and it just doesn't work... unless the point of those charts is to end up looking like a small chile had scrawled all over it!! wish me luck... We are giving it everything... not even drank a drop of the good stuff for 2 weeks, amazingly healthy diet and plenty of swimming... now for a smiley face some time in the next few days and it's SWI central in this household!!

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend Xmas Smile

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 04/12/2010 11:09

((((((( kat and izzy )))))))

So sorry you are feeling rotten both of you :( stay strong girlies, it could happen next month, some christmas bonking and a few glasses you never know :)

loola2shu · 04/12/2010 10:41

(( kat )) & (( Izzy )) Thats the shittiest feeling isn't it! Its bad enough without all the AF hormones on top!!

But Izz you are definately heading in the right direction, a BFP would have been fab but at least you can see you are getting there with your cycles! Its a massive improvement in such a short time! Next month your body will be used to that longer LP and much more prepared for a beanie! Chin up chick x

Rudolf Brilliant that you got nicely timed SWI! FX for 2weeks time!

NIX Hows it going hun? Hope you've got your feet up! BTW been meaning to say careful with the pineapple juice now you've got your BFP, it can cause uterine contractions (only if you were drinking gallons and gallons and gallons but thought I better warn you anyway)xx

I am totally fine about AF this time, just pleased that it eventually turned into something! Hopefully I will have a normal cycle this time round, have totally forgotten to temp though, will have to put in my direct vision when I wake up!

Hi to all, hope you are all well xx

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 04/12/2010 09:40

((( kat ))) I too am massively up and down this time so I know how you feel (bizarrely, having been ok for the last four cycles). I can see the sense in all the positive stuff and am trying to hang onto it, but then I'm just crying again over the utter crapness of it all.

I honestly think we will get there in the end, but clearly it's not going to be as quick or as easy as we hoped. My short-term strategy is to just get through Christmas and out the other side, then we'll be past the due date and I'm hoping it'll seem easier. Long-term we just need to stay strong and stick together - remember we're all here whenever you need a rant. And we will get there x

kat2504 · 04/12/2010 09:29

I lied about all that feeling positive stuff. Fast forward a few hours and I had too much wine and got massively upset. The usual I shouldn't be having this period I should be heavily pregnant. ah well I did atleast try to be positive. The intention was there. Bad hangover is now here too.

dAncerandRudolfsMum · 03/12/2010 22:32

Nix I can imagine my DDs will want pulling as well and brakes sound good! Good luck with the pox - I had DD1 and DD2 go one after the other - one was very easy, the other a nightmare - both involved pointless trips to A&E (new to area so no local doc at the time). It looks a lot worse than it actually is!

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 03/12/2010 22:22

rudolph the reality has sunk in lovely, the terror is around losing it! One day at a time and mega knicker watch x

Glad to see you got lots of action in whilst you could - good stuff, heres hoping for some christmas bfpsx

Re sledge. we got a plastic one with tow rope, and little brakes DS loves it but he likes to be pulled. Also got those plastic things you sit and hold on to (look like mini plastic shovels!) Had lots of snow here but its been bitterly cold today x

DS has also got spots! hoping its finally pox :)

dAncerandRudolfsMum · 03/12/2010 22:04

orange I have sore boobs and cramps at the moment and am pretty sure I ov'd today - also BD'd so I can head into the 2ww feeling we have done what we can and the rest is in the many hands of Ganesh (no particular religious leaning on this one - I just love the idea of a many handed elephant!!!) - oh and the lining enhancing pineapple juice.

Emoo I agree with others on here in saying hang in there. Time has a strange way of changing emotions. Just looking back on these threads show some fairly major changes of heart. I remember that thread wombat It petered out but was an interesting read about how various DH/DPs had coped with the mc. No decision is permanent. Please don't feel you have to go elsewhere - this is very much part of coping with mc.

Kat I am with you on your approach. I have decided that I have to stop thinking I am owed a BFP just because I had one. I have the standard 6 months in my head. I like your idea of anything earlier being a bonus (not sure how long this mindset will last!)

Loola hopefully this cycle will form a pretty triphasic chart! What a nightmare to spot for so long. I hate it when unexplainable things happen.

Velvet it might be ov related sore boobs?

Nix your day sounds lovely - glad you are getting some sleep. I want to go sledging. We only have a pathetic amount of snow here and DH and I are at odds on what type of sled to get! He wants a wooden Davos. I think it is too heavy for me to lug up hills and too expensive and just want a cheapo plastic one - any thoughts? I am sure the reality of your bfp will sink in soon!

Cool name Dachs

DD1 had her nativity play today and looked so amazingly sweet in her angel outfit. She actually sang this time. I was so proud of her. There were a heap of babies and pregnant woman there but I was surprisingly fine about it all - it just reminded me how much I love babiesssss.

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 03/12/2010 21:38

Me either velvet! are you peesticking? i had a massive dip on the day before ov last cycle, could you be OV..? you have longish cycles dont you? maybe your body is trying to ov but something is delaying it, i dont know, wait for someone more experienced to come along x

Velvetstocking · 03/12/2010 21:20

www.fertilityfriend.com/home/31a8bd
