Had an mc and need some wine, chocolate and somewhere to moan and cry? This is the place to be! We chat a LOT so it can be hard to keep up, but everyone on here is great and will hold your hand until you get your BFP.

Hello everyone,

Hugs for all those who need one, especially MamaChristmas, you can count me in on the list of people who cant wait to see the back of this year! Not long now...

Teacake, Are you charting? As you may know my periods never came back after my ERPC, and after a lot of investigation I discovered the 10 week mark is around when you need to do further investigations. My quick survey on MN did reveal a few women on here who got AF at 12 weeks, so yours could be right around the corner, however I recommend you try and establish yourself if you are cycling normally or not and also make an appointment with your GP. Your two "periods" dont really sound like periods, the first is too early and the second too light, and as you say you have only just had the 20 days without bleeding. Did you test for a BFP after your mc? If so, when did you get it? It could be that your pregnancy hormones took a long time to reach zero and therefore your body hasnt started cycling yet, but you could verify this by charting. What were your periods like before the mc? If your GP suspects that the problem is hormonal then they can give you a 10 day course of progesterone tablets to induce a bleed.

Of course there is also the possibility that you are pregnant and not yet making enough HCG to get a BFP. Again, charting could help you here, as if you know where you are in your cycle you wont be testing/waiting for AF everyday. I know how bloody awful it is waiting and wondering when AF/BFP will show up, been there done that! FX one of them does very soon (and we know which one we'd preferGrin) . PM me anytime if you want. xxx

Hope you're enjoying Eclipse anyway - I keep meaning to go and get it myself. Edward Cullen...mmmmm...

loola no thankfully not Dora-related, she'd picked some fizzy bath bombs that look like cupcakes. There was a brief moment during the grand unveiling when I wished I hadn't let a 4 yo choose though!!

Not to worry about the ff registration, clearly I will be updiffed before my VIP expires and won't need the extra

LoveBeingADaddysGirl · 10/12/2010 20:53

LoveBeingADaddysGirl · 10/12/2010 17:57

Oh dear not even thought about actree yet dd hasn't even seen her advent calendars yet!

LoveBeingADaddysGirl · 10/12/2010 17:56

Emoo and izzy, dh would have to take the whole day off and has had a bit of time off already due to funeral etc and tbh can't afford to loose any more money.

The only two friends that are not working at the mo are both on mat leave and would have older children with them too. I'll have a good think over the weekend and see how I feel.

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 10/12/2010 17:39

nix our tree is up but not yet decorated thus looking a bit random and foresty in our living room right now...

Work Christmas night out tonight and had nothing to wear and no secret Santa present so had to drag poor old dd out to the shops this afternoon...is it wrong to turn up to a firm do wearing a new top and bringing a secret Santa present, both of which have been picked by a four-year-old?!

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 10/12/2010 17:15

On a plus i have just put up my christmas tree/decs and the house is now well and truly Santa'd! IE cluttered and a shit tip! Xmas Grin

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 10/12/2010 17:07

ah mama sweetie!! i know what its like to have had a rotten year, i have had stuff going on that i havent shared that has meant the whole year has been a disaster, apart from the obvious good news 2 weeks ago. Roll on the end of it and welcome to 2011, surely it cannot get much worse! Sorry about the tickets xx

hope you are feeling a little more ladylike ladybee and not so snotty!!

Waves to everyone x

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 10/12/2010 16:01

tunnocks that does all sound a bit odd...have you tried temping/charting to see if you can work out what's going on? I guess you'll poas again in a few days if nothing changes..,fx it's turned into a bfp for you!

Ahhhh Izzy what are we all like hey?! You are lovely and that really made me smile because you are so thoughtful! I think there are a fair few that are kissing goodbye to 2010 so here's to 2011 and happier times all round!

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 10/12/2010 11:45

Oh no (((((big hugs))))) to mamac sorry you missed out on the tickets lovely, I think we only just made it...as a result I suspect our seats are shite but in the circs quite happy to settle...the eBay thing does really piss me off though, I refuse to buy overpriced tickets there on principle. It's really unfair.

Sorry you're feeling so down about everything, I think sometimes it's the little things like not getting TT tickets that just set everything off. Fwiw i do empathise about 2010, it's been truly crap in every way. Our run of bad luck started last December and has gone something like: crashed car, dad had minor stroke (those on the same day!), dd didn't get into ds' school, have to change ds' school mid-year, go on holiday for a break and get stuck due to volcano (I mean, ffs!), spend extra £1000 and two whole days trekking across Europe to get back, discover am pg (yay!) but dsis won't speak to me due to previous mc and impending ivf trauma (stress), boss complete arse about whole thing, dsis gets pg (yay!), I mc at 16 weeks, dsis mc 3 weeks later, dog dies, dsis' dog dies, dad breaks arm, ttc for remaining 5 months with no hint of diffage..

I am beginning to think our entire family needs to just stay at home until 2011 and then just start again!

Hopefully the business thing will sort itself out for you, have you looked at any more pubs? Is there any chance the original landlord will change his mind? I'm sending good luck vibes your way and keeping my fx that you have some good news soon.

Here's to a better 2011 for all of us xx

MamaChristmas · 10/12/2010 11:21

Izzy I had 4 peeps trying to get me those tickets by phone and on-line and nothing! I am gutted and now in shit humour because it just sums up my year, 2010 has been f'ing shite! 1 mc, 1 chemical pg, being apart from dh for most of 6 months so he could earn money to buy the buiness purchase that has now fallen through, sold my house but have nowhere to live and some f'ing arseholes are already selling those Take that tickets on ebay for treble the face value!! I can't even get upduffed, I need a rock to climb under!!! Sorry for total rant, all triggered off by not getting TT tickets, I sound like a petulant child! Although after my year...

Parentals are visiting for weekend so I'll catch up with you gorgeous girls on Monday.

Hugs to them that needs 'em xx

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 10/12/2010 10:24

emoo it does look annovulatory to my untrained eye...however I don't think that's anything to worry about unless it's happening every month x

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 10/12/2010 10:14

daddysgirl hmmm that's tricky, how would you feel about going alone? Can dh definitely not get time off work - we were lucky in that dh's work were very good about it. Failing that do you have any good friends who could go with you?

Emoo · 10/12/2010 10:13

DaddysGirl, I would take someone with you if you can. Chances are it will all be fine, especially if the bleeding has all settled. But I guess you have to be prepared for the possibility that there is something left, in which case they might want a decision from you about whether you want to wait and see, or have ERPC to get it out. I guess if you can cope with decision-making on your own, and if the scan room isn't going to freak you out, you'll be okay to go on your own. But I've been through this a couple of weeks ago, and was glad I had someone with me just for company in the hospital where I got the bad news.

Anyone free to look at my chart? It looks like this cycle is going to be anovulatory anyway. I've not had one of these before. What do you think?

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 10/12/2010 10:10

mamac get on Ticketmaster.ie if you haven't had any luck yet - I got my tickets by 10.08!!!

I am a happy bunny Xmas Grin

LoveBeingADaddysGirl · 10/12/2010 09:10
