Had an mc and need some wine, chocolate and somewhere to moan and cry? This is the place to be! We chat a LOT so it can be hard to keep up, but everyone on here is great and will hold your hand until you get your BFP.

Evening ladies. I have a confession to make: I have been getting my knickers in a real big fat twist over not getting updiffed and although my GP seemed quite unconcerned (so easy on their side of the fence), it has been playing on my mind. I have done something I don't like doing BUT, I happen to know the Chief Medical Officer of one of the countries leading centre's for reproductive medicine!! I know, I know but I don't like to bother people!! Anyway, I finally snapped and asked if he would mind my asking a few q's, to which he said 'fire away', so I have just explained my issues with my now reduced cycle, late ovulation and resulting 8 day luteal phase, I will keep you posted on his conclusions and recommendations (I just feel better for asking a professional). Some times you just gotta do what you can for your own sanity... and sometimes it's not what you know... (besides I am paid via the dept. of Health so I'm calling this a 'perk' of the job)!

Daddysgirl good news on the scan front.
Nix worth paying for peace of mind.
Mummy sorry to hear you are so unwell... your body is probably very run down and very susceptible at the moment!
Orange and AR, huuuum, could it be?? I won't say out loud but I have high hopes for you both Xmas Wink
Hairy how you getting on chicadee?
Dachs when does your IVF cycle start?

ahhhhh can't find any peesticks in the house - have just uptipped the knicker drawer where I was certain there was one lurking. I am going to miss the first pee of the morning!

Go izz keep pushing through - I hate the last couple of days of SWI - having started with such enthusiasm dh and I always seem to get to ov day like two puffing marathon runners! Hope DS is feeling better in time for Santa - poor MiniNix as well. He seems to be having a bit of a rough ride.

Good news Daddy'sgirl Xmas Grin at MOT - I can imagine two blokes in blue overalls 'Well luv - you're in tip top shape, purring like ...' hmm think I'll leave that there.

Orange lots of fingers crossed.

DontEatOrangeSnow · 16/12/2010 22:01

HidingUnderTheTreeWithSanta · 16/12/2010 21:30

Thanks for the cream instructions ladyb my imagination was getting a bit carried away I think Grin

hope the appointment goes well tigger!

And I'm glad the scan was good news daddysgirl. I found that though it all made it a bit real having the last scan to confirm it was all gone it wa also a relief to know that it was all over and I could start the process of moving on.

Big ((hugs)) to everyone who needs some hugs at the moment.

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 16/12/2010 20:05

OOhhhh OOOOhhhh OOOOHHHHHH could we be in for maybe one or two little santaclause bfps? Oh i do hope so Xmas Grin

Izz sorry DS now poorly. Hope he is ok. DS is also sick. Havent seen him since tuesday morning (i have never been gone for more than 1 night before) and i get home and hes had a fever all day, curled up asleep on grandads knee! High fever, flatly refusing to take off his jumper but thankfully has allowed brufen for the first time in a year!!

Izz get those sparkly suzzies on and get DH into action :) I have a good feeling this month! AR got them on for you and orangetoo {fgrin] what CD are you i cant see a list!

Love, glad your scan went ok xx

see you all soon Have to pay for an 8 week scan as they wont send me, but the good thing is that nhs are doing nuchal scans as standard at 12 weeks from jan 1st Xmas Grin assuming we get there... saved 180 quid! Bravo :)

Oh yes, back to docs again tomorrow for antibiotics... :( for this bacterial imbalance. Pregnancy friendly ones...allegedly!

dAncerandRudolfsMum · 16/12/2010 19:26

Need to make a work call and suffering severe procrastination!!! Will namecheck after the call but - I'm all confused at the mo. I have had every sign af is on her way. I am very regular (thank goodness as I know from many of you on here how frustrating not being regular is) I ov on day 15 and I have af on day 29. I woke up this morning certain she had started - nothing. I wiped at one point in the day and am sure I saw blood but nothing since - wtf?!!? I presume she is on her way - I was reasonably fine with her arriving - I had consoled myself with the thought of drinking mulled wine at the Christmas Markets this weekend and pretty much every day up until New Years eve!! Now I am having stupid surges of hope and fear and general confusion - grrrrrrr. Mememe at the mo - will be back to truly appreciate the joys of trying to work out where cream goes LOL Xmas Grin

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 16/12/2010 16:55

Right I know I haven't been around as much over the last few days with work etc, and have a poorly ds now so can't scroll back through everyone's posts to name check - so just a quick one here:

orange will put my suspenders on for you (actually that might help with the swi-ing as well, we're flagging a bit here!)

daddysgirl glad the scan was ok, and that dd behaved. Hope you're doing ok x

LoveBeingADaddysGirl · 16/12/2010 15:42

Thanks guess I'm gonna have to learn all the jargon!

orestyemerrywombat · 16/12/2010 14:52

Daddysgirl glad the scan went well and DD behaved bless her. Not on the next next step - back on the TTC wagon Xmas Grin

LoveBeingADaddysGirl · 16/12/2010 12:55

Hello all hope you are all well.

Just got back from my scan, didn't realise there would be an internal one so that was a lovely suprise oh and not onlyended up going I
my own I alsohad to take dd with me. She was an angel and there is nothing left in there. Feel like I had a bit of of an mot tbh.

youremindmeofthebaubles · 16/12/2010 09:14

loola I would agree with that article. All sounds reasonable and like other information I've come across.

nix! Hello! thought you'd been awol for a day or so! when are you back home? I would be unable to cope without wifi for any length of time either!

orange I'm sorry, but all we can do is wait! do you temp? I am a new convert and am enjoying it, it feels like i'm proactive!

hiding , izz is the Luteal phase expert, but off the top of my head 100mg b6 daily and a B complex. I always thought that cream needed to be internal! Just as well I hadn't branched out yet

mummyO glad they're all there and helping out! Feeling sick is much easier with family, I find. Hope you feel better soon. I seem to have a cold which involves feeling nauseous, but nothing so bad as yours.

velvet glad you came back, bud. I was a bit worried the other day. Glad you've got a stress-free 2 ww Xmas Envy

Hope the move goes ok, tigger and the appointment too. Things can seem insurmountable sometimes, but am sure you'll get thereSmile

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 16/12/2010 06:44

orange remember inbetweener didnt get a bfp til 5 days after period due i think. could be, just taking a while to implant? Oh i hope so xxx

DontEatOrangeSnow · 16/12/2010 05:57

Morning! Selfish post with a view to properly catching up later...

I'm 16dpo, no BFP and no red witch Confused the pains have gone pretty much and now I just feel bloated :( I remember last time it took ages to get a BFP but am desperately trying not to think of that as I don't want to get my hopes up

I feel better just for writing it down [weak smile]

MummyBellsAllTheWay · 16/12/2010 03:16

Hi everyone,

I took a step backwards today in my recovery from vom and D - back in bed, puking lots.Urrrrggh. Its bringing back memories of being pregnant in Jan, (had ms very badly) and making me really worry how I would cope with it again.

Still its lovely with the family here, I watched big sis, DS and my niece decorate the tree and I'm all amused by how punctual everyone is and how much they can drink before lunchtime Grin

Velvet I'm glad you are feeling better too. My due date was 7 Oct. I think it will probably be a day of rememberance for me every year now. May your little one always be remembered too. xxx

Tigger best of luck at your appointment. Have you ever used www.fertilityfriend.com to track your dates? I started using it for temping, but I am on high dose HRT at the moment and its really handy for recording meds and all that stuff too.

chocolate for everyone who needs it!!

loola2shu · 15/12/2010 23:05

CM types and time of cycle do you all agree with this? I am just looking for a benchmark!

loola2shu · 15/12/2010 22:46

sorry Tigger x posts, hope the appointment is what you hope for and everything sorts itself out x

loola2shu · 15/12/2010 22:43

Just a quickie....

VELVET I am very far from an expert but that chart's looking very good to me Wink

Wombat Snowshus is perfect! Need to work out how to do a namechange now.... Hmm

tigger15 · 15/12/2010 22:38

Thanks for the messages. Yes the appointment is next week so that's something to look forward to - sort of. I'm just a bit at 6s and 7s at the moment as on top of the 2nd anov cycle I know we need to move house soon (as current accommodation is coming to an end for various reasons) but we are trying to buy a place too which is not great fun in the current market. Oh and a very close relative of mine (who'd better remain unnamed in case one of the few people who knows me in RL sees this) announced at a family meal recently that she's expecting. Not that I want her to go through what I am, but it's still not easy especially with other relatives murmuring you'll be next etc.

Thanks for updating me. I use this list to keep track and in fact spent over an hour last week going through this and older lists to work out all my cycle lengths for up to 3 months post mc which was when I started posting. I used to write my lmp date at the start of each month in my blood sugar record book but gave up on both that and bothering to write them down when I got to 11 months and have of course lost the book now. It'll probably turn up when I move Grin Good luck to all who remain. I don't think there's anyone who actively posts on this list who was here when I started which is really depressing. I used to be a much more cheerful poster Smile

LadybeenKissingSantaClaus · 15/12/2010 22:29

Hiding I wondered exactly the same thing Grin but I can report back that you rub it...

...on your tummy. Or thighs. Or anywhere that it can be absorbed through the skin. You only use a pea-sized 'lump' once you know you've ovulated for max 14 days or until AF comes. Not sure what to do if you get BFP...still to find that out. Smile

Emoo · 15/12/2010 22:06

Oi! The egg-nog definitely wasn't my idea first...! someone else mentioned it a while back, and at that point I inwardly vowed always to use eggnog in preference to eewwwCM Grin.

Nix and owl - be brave. If I were religious I'd pray for you too, but I'm not, so you'll have to make do with random positive thoughts aimed in your direction --->

Velvet - glad today was better than you expected, but sorry you are still sad. I looked at your chart, but have no intelligent comment, sorry.

Hiding - best place for cream? Definitely IN A CAKE, of course...! Confused

HidingUnderTheTreeWithSanta · 15/12/2010 20:54

Hello all. Sorry it's a quick one as I don't have time to name everyone and read everything but big ((hugs)) to everyone in a general kind of way Grin

I did notice some mention of B vits and Progestorone cream possibly in connection with getting the luteal phase a bit longer. Last month mine was a great big 8 days which is pretty crap right?

So should I be getting the vits and cream? Any other tips? and just because I love to ask a stupid question, where do you ummm...put the cream? Blush

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 15/12/2010 20:32

velvet sorry forgot to add, glad you are ok and fab that you OV!!! Whoop
