Ladies from Vol4 - welcome to our new home.

its a definite MC...

re your point about starting a new cycle...well, it kind of depends i think. right now if you peed on an ov stick it would probably be positive as hcg produces a positive result...the accuracy of the CBFM i would think would depend on how long your pregnancy hormones take to drop to zero...so for example if you set to day one now it might mean that you show a peak as soon as you pee on day 6 or whatever which would be a false peak, but maybe not....i think its worth a go but you have to bare in mind that you might get false peak days this cycle, but then again you might not...im going to do the same...

big hugs its rough isnt it? xxx

zebedeethezebra · 30/11/2010 14:35

Sorry Kitty - I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that it turns out OK. xxx

Ilovekittyelise · 30/11/2010 13:52

Hi Zebedee...

I seem to be having the same exact situation as you....I tested positive on saturday and today have started bleeding and cramping.....

Hope you are ok xxxxxxxx

zebedeethezebra · 30/11/2010 12:03

Hi Boba

Yes, I'm OK, but a bit weepy today, was alright until yesterday, but I guess my hormones must be up the spout at the mo.

I'm still miscarrying but its really just like a late period. I only tested positive 3 days before the bleeding started.

Still I guess it means I'm still fertile, even if my eggs are crap.

That's why I was wondering if I can still use the CBFM this month. I know it says in the instructions to wait until 2 normal cycles but at my age that's 2 months wasted.

So I was wondering if anyone had tried to keep using the monitor as normal straight after a miscarriage. If I treat it as a late period, once the bleeding stops that would normally be day 5 wouldn't it? My pregnancy test yesterday had a line so faint you could barely see it so I guess the HCG is leaving my body pretty quickly.

Has anyone tried this? Or does the monitor just get hopelessly confused? About to order some more pee sticks.

Please can I join your thread? I'm not sure what all your acronyms mean, but I'm 43, TTC #2, I'm 43 (44 in Jan), had DS earlier this year after first cycle of using the monitor but this time round I think this must have been about the 5th cycle I've used it. DS is 10.5 months now but I would love a sibling for him.

boba82 · 30/11/2010 10:49

Sorry AF got you KC and michelle to to you both. x

zebedee are you ok? I'm not really sure re your question but just thought I'd check you were ok as you seem awful matter of fact and sounded like you were still miscarrying? Hope you are ok?

OP posts:
zebedeethezebra · 29/11/2010 18:34

Just had a miscarriage, very early less than 5 weeks pregnant before the bleeding started.

Do I really have to wait for a normal period before I can start using the monitor again, or wait until the bleeding stops, pretend that's the end of my period and set it for day 5 on that day?? Has that worked for anyone? I'm 43, no time for waiting!

michelle2222 · 29/11/2010 18:25

congratulations kitty well came on my period last night if I'm honest I'm gutted! 6 days late never been 6 days late I suppose it's my own fault for slighty gettin my hopes up, my husband was really good last night I was a little teary I just thought gosh can I do this every month kind of get my hopes up waiting for a positive and then get that dreaded period. Feel a bit better today I suppose it was my first month on the cbfm so hopefully this month lol went to the doctors today she's referring me bk to another gynicoligist (if that's how you spell it) I just feel that we have had all the tests everything seems fine can't explain why it's not happening? Anyway enough of me moaning, decided this afternoon me and my little boy to put the Christmas decoratians up and got to say it looks really good! anyway hope eveyone else is ok x

KnackeredCow · 29/11/2010 12:35

Hi Ladies Sorry I haven't been around for a bit. Been feeling a bit low this month so was trying not to think about TTC for a bit.

welcome to all the newbies

Congrats to Kitty I have my fingers crossed for you and wish you all the best for a successful pregnancy this time. I can understand why you are nervous and I am thinking of you.

Sorry to all those that AF got, Keziah, Pink and anybody else I have missed.

AF got me too so I am resetting stats for today. Sad I knew I couldn't be pregnant this month as I ov'd 4 days late when we were waiting for DH to do his SA so sex was off the agenda. Predictably, AF was 3 days late, which does show that you can use the CBFM to pretty accurately work out when AF should arrive. Feel irrational for feeling down as I knew I wouldn't be pg. Ho-hum

On the bright side, at least we can get going again this month. The 2ww was agonising as I just wanted AF to arrive so we could get cracking on a new month.

Hi just updating stats as back to the bottom of the list for me. Think I'll be keeping a low profile this month as wanting to take the pressure off and try to focus on other things instead of letting TTC take over so much. Have only got 10 sticks left then don't think I'll be using the CBFM after that as my cycles are quite predictable and getting fed up of it now really.

Congrats Kitty x

Ilovekittyelise · 28/11/2010 18:06

thanks guys for your congrats. im very nervous after what happened last time; i think its going to be a long time before i can actually see a baby at the end of this if you know what i mean? xxx

Well the CBFM is in action for this cycle lol. 2nd cycle and asked for first 'sample' today CD9 and it is high so wonder if I shall get a peak this cycle...... only time will tell, am going to just BD all the way through the month and hope we may get lucky! Although we did the same last month throughout all the highs and no BFP lol

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend :)

girls. i feel really guilty after the last post being absolutely convinced i was about to come on. its day 30 and i was a bit frustrated at her STILL not arriving thinking i have something wrong with me causing me to have such terrible cramps this week, and decided to pee on a stick just to rule that out. i got a faint positive. im going to go out and get another test to make sure. obviously im delighted but i wish it had been one of you lovely ladies that has been waiting such a long time. huge hugs xxx

Ilovekittyelise · 26/11/2010 22:43

Keziah Im sorry too. It's been such a long road for you already I want you to get pregnant even more than myself if you know what I mean; I'm thinking of you x

Everyone can someone, anyone get a nice little BFP to make us all smile and feel hopeful?

I'm feeling a bit less miserable having forced myself to go swimming and keep thinking about other good things in life. Two friends have had babies in the last 3 weeks and more and more keep announcing their pregnancies. Having had an unhealthy baby and termination all I want is for those ladies and their families to have their lives filled with joy and things to be straightforward, but it does make me a little sad that its not me. not really jealous, just sad really...

Oh well....maybe next month?

Lychees · 26/11/2010 21:39

Sorry AF got you, Keziah. Sometimes I get my hopes too but it's good to have hope. Wishing all the best for next weeks consultation.

When AF came this time, DH came home after work and admitted that for the first time, her arrival made him Sad. So I made a call and we are off to see our consultant in a couple of weeks for a follow up chat about DH's last SA results, my HSG and my AMH. We got the results over email and were told things were "normal" but don't know the details. It'll also be an opportunity to chat about some other worries/queries I have, possible courses of treatment and costs etc.

Fingers crossed for littlefan and michelle. Until AF arrives, its not over.

Have a good weekend All.

Keziahhopes · 26/11/2010 18:04

Hi, af begun here Sad - for some reason really thought I could have this time, which is most unusual for me.

Michelle hope for you. Good idea to wait littlefan - I was injured in an accident so needed to test cos of the medicaiton I needed, so at least pain is reducing now! All best for you.x

littlefan really hope you get a bfp will have my fingers crossed for you. I know it feels so cruel to have a late period, thats it now i have had enough of the negative tests going to wait till next wednesday to test agin, mind you its easier said then done, i may just have to lock myself in the house till wednesday to stop me buying pregnancy tests, im sure my local chemist think im bonkers.

littlefan · 26/11/2010 11:10

Michelle I know how you're feeling. That's the way it has been with me the last couple of months. Like your body is just messing with your head. The stress and obsessing definitely can delay AF in my experience.
I'm on CD34 today. My peak days were CD21 & 22. I'm putting off testing this time. Leave for 2 week holiday today and have packed a new packs of CBFM sticks and tampax as not feeling confident that AF won't show.

Fingers crossed though - always a grain of hope.
Any BFPs out there recently?

michelle2222 · 26/11/2010 09:53

hello ladies hope everyone is ok? well its my 5th day of missed period did another test negative Sad, what is goin on im never normaly late if anything a day early seriously this is driving me insane Confused!!! i wonder if its because my peak was day 19 and 20, and im day 31 on cbfm if its to early to pick up im pregnant if you know what i mean because my peaks are so late on in cycle???? i think im just trying to think of all things, and if i am just really late then thats just cruel lol i think im going to make an appointment next week with doctors for blood test.
