Ladies from Vol4 - welcome to our new home.

Oh Stormbird, how upsetting. My sister got similar results and had the CVS which gave the baby the all clear and she now has a very healthy and lovely 5 month old so try not to think the worst as the stats can be misleading xxx

StormBird · 05/01/2011 15:54

Hi Ladies,

Quick update with not so great news from me I'm afraid...

Although baby is physically healthy (no Annencephaly this time) we have been told that my combined Nuchal test results, bloods etc etc. put me at a 1:43 chance of having a baby with Downs Syndrome. This is relatively high.

I'm going back into hospital tomorrow for a CVS and then we'll need to wait for the results.

I'm in disbelief to be honest, really thought that we'd get a smooth run f thisngs this time round. It seems at the mo, luck is not on our side but we are trying to remain positive.

Fingers crossed, I'll let you know how we get on.

Hi everyone, just updating my stats as haven't been on for a while. Was ill over xmas and before that I was trying to take my mind off TTC so much so not really checking in as much.

Not had chance to read back too far but big congrats Ilovekittyelise fingers crossed it all works out for you, try not to worry too much (easier said than done I know).

We've had some disappointing SA results back for DH, he's going for another one next week to compare results. I don't feel too depressed about it though and the doctor didn't seem too concerned and seemed to think it'll happen eventually if we keep at it Wink. I'm going to see my doc when she's back from hols later this month to see what tests I should be having too, although for some reason I feel quite optimistic and think it will happen for us, it's just taking a bit longer this time. Let's hope I'm right.

Happy New Year everyone Smile

KnackeredCow · 05/01/2011 14:02

Hi All

boba Really sad to hear you are feeling so low. People can be so insensitive in what they say about TTC. I'm feeling low too so I do empathise with you. Have you anything nice to look forward to in the next few weeks? January is such a long, dull dreadful month. It is good though that they are upping your Clomid dose. I really really hope that it does the trick for you.

Kitty Glad to hear things are still OK for you

stormbird and AnytimeNOW really good to hear that things are going well. Keep dropping in to let us know how you get on. It's very exciting for you both Smile

Lychees Really pleased to hear that IUI is imminent. FX for you

Roastie Graduates = pregnant; Playing Truant = Ladies that haven't posted in so long we assume they're not around at the moment; The Dog ate my homework = ladies whose stats don't look like they are up to date as they haven't posted in a while

Well I went to FC today and am referred for an HSG. They did confirm that my highest risk factor is that I may have adhesions causing tubal blockage due to the perforated appendix I had as a child that resulted in peritonitis and a pelvic abscess.

BUT the bad news is they only do HSGs at the hospital on Monday and Friday afternoons as there is only one Radiologist trained to do them, who travels in from a different hospital. I was Shock I am with a very large Teaching Hospital Trust. Apparently they do have some radiologists in training, not that that actually helps at the moment.

Anyway, they have no appointments this Friday, which is the last day this cycle I can have it done. But they have told me to start phoning tomorrow afternoon and ring every hour until 8pm in case there's a cancellation. She also told me to keep phoning from 8am till 12.30pm on Friday morning as I live so close to the hospital I can be there within 20 minutes. If this fails I have to wait for my next cycle, but they really stressed that I had to phone the minute my period starts as they have so few appointments and they go really quickly. They've warned it could take up to three months to get the HSG done as getting an appointment comes down to luck, timing and persistence!

They've also booked an appointment for 4 April to see Consultant, but said if I've managed to have HSG sooner then to phone to see if we can get an earlier appointment or cancellation.

Ilovekittyelise · 05/01/2011 13:28

Hey guys

Things SEEM to be ok FOR NOW! cramping seemed to stop overnight, and have had light dull ache this morning; more importantly been feeling very sick and tired today, and no blood. Thanks for all being so supportive; its sad to lose the naievity and excitement that is supposed to come with a 'first' pregnancy...

GOod luck everyone; keep on shagging!!!

arabella36 · 05/01/2011 12:40

Hi roast, yes I would count Monday as CD1 if it was only very light spotting the night before.

Can anyone tell me if its strange to still be one bar on cbfm on day 12 of a cycle which is usually28-29days? I'm sure it's been earlier to go to 2 bars in previous months. In the last 3 months Ive ov'd between CD14-16.

This is my 4th month of using cbfm. I wonder what's going on? Confused

Boba - sorry for your horrible time over new year! I don't think the guy you were talking to handled that at all well!

Ilovekitty - hope things going well for you.

Hello to everyone else

Hi Ladies

Just updated the stats (fingers crossed i havent messed anything up).

Quick question (all i seem to do is ask questions!) My period came early Monday morning, is this day 1 of my cycle? I assume it is as i had ever so light spotting the night before so i have said this is day 1. Any ideas?

I have now decided Hypnotherapy isnt working for me so im going to give reflexology ago. I will keep you all posted x x x

stormbird fingers crossed that you scan goes well :) Time is flying by!

I think I am approaching my ov time at the mo, only 2 bars on CBFM and on CD16 think it was CD18/19 last month when I got the peaks. I have results from AMH blood test later this week so will see what they come back as.

If my peak does arrive on CD18/19 I have totally forgotten when is the best time to BD??

I also hope it arrives soon as only have 3 sticks left lol

Morning all!

Storm - hope all goes well with your scan! Do po by and let us know how you get on :)

Kitty - hope you're feeling ok this morning

Keziah - sorry you're still suffering after the crash. Are you still getting any treatment?

worththewait - any symptoms coming through?

Lychees - great to hear ovulation is imminent for you. Hope you have a successful week and the IUI is straghtforward!

Boba - sorry to hear about your new year. You're right, no one understands properly unless they've been through problems ttc themselves.

Hello everyone else! Thank you for your kind words about DH's cousin. Jan doesn't seem to have been the best start for so many people and it does put things in perspective a little (until the hormones take over!)

AF is due for me in the next few days so at least then I can focus on an October baby!

keziah sorry to hear you are having a bad time. your bad luck seems to be never-ending. a karmic u-turn must surely be on the horizon?

thanks to everyone for your support. you wouldnt believe how many times i have been to the loo today just to check. no blood as yet, please let it stay that way. will be using a clearblue digital every morning to see whether the hormone levels are going up or down.

Keziahhopes · 04/01/2011 17:21

Hi Storm - hope your scan is fantastic and you get a nice pic and all is well xx

Boba - sending you a big hug.

Lychees -understand totally about the thought of twins, that is definitely what I would like too, after all this time Grin

Anytime - wow, 10 weeks already Smile, you did make me smile about why your boobs were sore lol!!

As for me, think am in denial about nothing moving forward so waiting for everything to crash really. The injury from car accident causing so much pain, too.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!

Only me.......just thought I'd pop in to say hi and a huge congrats to both Anytime & kittyelise - well done gurlies, I hope that your pregnancy go as smoothly as possible and understand your worries.

Hi everyone else.....hope you are well! I'm now 12+5 weeks preggers. So far so good. Tomorrow we have our 12wk scan (the biggie) and we'll find out if all is well. Fingers crossed.

I hope 2011 is a successful year for you all. Soldier on ladies, you are strong and amazing women.

Much Love xxx

Lychees · 04/01/2011 13:52

ILoveKittyElise, it's totally understandable how you're feeling. But try not to think the worse. Sending you my thoughts and best wishes.

Anytime, glad you are starting to feel a little more relaxed. All the best, hun.

Boba, what a complete a"$e! I think I might have slapped him Angry. Is the 50mg of Clomid not working, hun? Hope you get what you need on Friday at the FC.

Worththewait, the waiting is really hard, isn't it? Waiting for AF, waiting for appointments ..... Try not to be nervous about your appointment, see it as an opportunity to get some answers and actions.

I had my scan this AM and have one follicle measuring 13mm so not quite ready yet. Seems like the Clomid did nothing as I normally ov around CD15/16 and it is looking like that will happen again this month and there was no extra follicles [I was secretly wishing for a chance at twins ... very, very greedy Blush I know, but you should always have dreams Wink]. Anyways, what this means is that I have to go for another scan on Thursday and then perhaps, we'll be giving IUI a go Fri/Sat.

I'll let you know what happens.

Hope everyone else is okay.

worththewait · 04/01/2011 13:00
