So glad the Scan went well Boba . Fingers crossed everything goes smoothly Smile

Good luck to anyone on the 2WW xxx

Lychees · 17/01/2011 17:43

Boba, great that first scan went okay. Good luck for the next one.

Keziahhopes · 17/01/2011 17:10

Pink - one episode of one born every minute made me realise that although I can babysit (in fact that is my main form of social activity thesedays sadly) that is one program I cannot cope with!!

But - yes opting out a good idea Grin

PinkCustard · 17/01/2011 16:50

Yes Keziah I would too (although it would be nice to opt out if possible) Smile

Have been driving myself mad today as am 9dpo, AF due anytime from Thursday...I so want to be preg now, but I get like this every month just before AF due. And One Born Every Minute is on tonight aswell - there's no hope of me putting it from my mind for the next few days!!

Keziahhopes · 17/01/2011 15:30

Hey - I will even have the sickness Pink if it means I ever get a bfp!!

Roastie after 11mths of testing with the nhs and several SA (semen analysis) for my dh's, whose results did improve or change each time as men get a fresh supply of semen every 3months, we discovered on a SA test that he had an antibody disorder. Also my blood tests were a bit low - ie only "equivocal for ovulation" so with the two combined the NHS told us, in great style to "keep trying for another 6mths then come back." No clomid, no nothing. Am nearly 36, being ttc over 3yrs naturally (and the rest!) and by this point it was over a year since fertility testing happened. So we went elsewhere. Now got stuck with other issues, not the clinic's issues, that is preventing treatment - but they say we need ICSI due to male factors. Which is what one NHS dr told us also, but the man in charge obviously didn't want to treat us - know that is not hte case for everyone, as another person under same dr got tested in 6mths, clomid and now IUI!!

Roastie - if NHS will treat you, might be worth continuing with them, and save money for private later if you need treatment again - unless you would rather go private. After clomid the usual progression is up to 3 cycles of IUI, then IVF.

PinkCustard · 17/01/2011 14:42

Fab news Boba - I so can't wait for massive norks and scans etc (I'll take a rain check on the sickness though, didn't have any with DS so hoping I might not again...IF I ever get preg that is!)

PinkCustard · 17/01/2011 14:40

Roastie it just depends how many sticks you've used before you get Peak. If you've used less than 10 it'll keep asking for a stick until you've used all 10. Although it is programmed to show a 2nd Peak, a High and then back to Low once the initial Peak is detected.

boba82 · 17/01/2011 14:40

Good luck to all those on the 2ww, FX!

Scan went well, everything looked good but quite early - only 5 1/2 weeks rather than 6 so have to go back on 27th just to confirm all ok. Still sick as a dog and boobs getting huge so taking all this as good signs - FX it sticks in the right place!

Hope everyone doing ok?

OP posts:
roastie · 17/01/2011 14:16

Question, the first month i used the CBFM i got my peak day, then the next day it didnt ask me to pee on the stick it just assumed i was OV. THIS month i peak yesterday, and then today it asked me to pee on the stick for my 2nd day of Peak. Why did it ask me this, this month but not last month??? Confused
Has this happened to anyone else??

So as of tommorrow i am on my 2WW - Fingers and toes crossed x

roastie · 17/01/2011 14:11

Hi Kezia

DH and i have been for lots of tests, and all have come back as normal. Finished my 6month cycle of Clomid 2 months ago which is when i started using the CBFM. I go back to the hospital next month to see what the next steps are , but depending on what they say we are going to way up going private.

Using the CBFM has helped me stay more postitive because until i started using this i didnt even know if i ovulated as i had no signs. I used the ovulation test sticks but it never showed up. I know the first month i used it was probably void becasue i still may of had clomid in my system but this month i have 'Laid Another Egg' so this at least makes me feel at least something is working.

I have just started reflexology with a lady who is trained in advanced fertility reflexology and the things she picked up was amazing! I have my second session tomorrow night and cant wait, at the very least it makes me feel like im doing something and i have some control over this.

We took a few months off too when things got a little too much and it did us the world of good.

Can i ask, do you know why it isnt happening for you?
x

PinkCustard · 16/01/2011 19:43

Hi all, just catching up with the thread as been away for a few days. I'm just approaching the crazy end of the 2ww so trying to remain calm...!!

Lychees · 16/01/2011 10:40

Boba, hope your scan went okay.

StormBird · 15/01/2011 13:48

Boba - Dying to know how you got on yesterday? Hope it went well XX

Hi All and happy weekend xxxx Smile

Keziahhopes · 14/01/2011 19:35

Roastie - yes similar stats. I think Boba's amazing bfp has really encouraged me as she had to wait so long. Sure others have to, just she is on this thread and it is recent so in my brain!

Dh and I are both struggling = so decided Jan is a month off ttc, in the hope it gives me some motivation and energy for next month!! At least it has reduced stress as I know I will not be pregnant.

Roastie have you had fertility testing, or doing that (it took us 11months) and if so what has been suggested. We need ICSI but are having problems (v complicated and causing more stress than anything else) being allowed to cycle at all!! So = natural miracle would be most welcome. It is hard.

Thanks for all the good luck wishes ladies.

KC, I'm not sure if my CBFM is playing up. I will have to check next cycle as I decided not to carry on poas as I ran out and there didn't seem much point when I'm on a stimulated cycle. On another note, wouldn't twins be lovely though ? ... we can always dream. Good luck for this cycle.

Keziah sorry to hear that things aren't moving forwards for you .

Thanks for the PMA, Boba.

Harry can't believe you're already 28 weeks. Glad it's all going well.

Roastie, I can't remember but have you been for tests yet?

Hope everyone else is okay.

roastie · 14/01/2011 16:12

Hi Keziah

I havent been on here for a while, i generally pop in and out.

I noticed on the stats that ours are quite similar. I was just wondering how are you keeping yourself motivated as im really struggling. I just keep thinking how much longer are we going to do this for, puttong our lives on hold. It has got to end at some point??

arabella36 · 13/01/2011 21:19

Lots and lots of luck to knackeredcow this month!!

KnackeredCow · 13/01/2011 19:07

Hi All

Suffering In all honesty I think the GP would be sympathetic, but wouldn't investigate yet unless you fib are economical with the truth about how long you have been trying. But that said, I suppose that's not possible as it will be on your medical records when you had your last pill prescription. Of course you could say that you didn't use every packet in the last prescription

Ah, thanks Keziah. Blush > I just currently have far too much time on my hands.

Keziah I'm really saddened to hear that things are still not progressing for you Sad

Lychees I really hope this is your month.

AnytimeNOW · 13/01/2011 18:30

Good luck Lychees got everything crossed for you...take it easy X

Hello Tina welcome to the lovely thread Smile.

Waves hello to everybody Smile hope all doing ok.

Lychees · 13/01/2011 17:51

Hi Tina. Welcome to our thread.

Just a quick one from me today ... I had my IUI. It was uncomfortable but okay [like a smear]. Now there is little I can do except for to use my progesterone pessaries [nice Shock] and hope. It's going to seem like the longest 2ww ever.

Catch up with you ladies soon.

Keziahhopes · 12/01/2011 23:54

Hello Harry - so encouraging to hear from you. I can't remember, is this your 1st? Do you know the gender? Do come back and let us know all the details Smile

Will post properly tomorrow - just a quick scan read tonight and bed now.... am shattered and low with how long it has taken to get nowhere, Sad

  • but will say KC - big hug for you xxx and you are now our official resident expert of CBFM, research guru and source of all knowledge - ok!! GrinWink
sufferingbabyfever · 12/01/2011 18:57

Hi,

Thanks for all your replies. Most helpful. And knackered, not at all negative.

I think Im a bit reluctant to go to the Dr as I expect them to be like - You've not been trying for a year yet - so long see you then. And Im 27 so they might be like ah wait and see and come back in a year or so.

Also I do seem to be having periods, they have returned. Just that they can be a little variant in length (25, 27, 29, 28, 40). Just noticed the pattern there of them becoming longer. Its more the elusive LH I'm worried about to be honest. And a peculiar mid cycle bleed I am getting in the middle of the month for 3 days. Though not every month.

Someone had asked about the 40 day cycle, I went back down to low at about day 25 - exactly when I had used the whole box! And again this month I appear to be using the whole box, day 21 still high.

TinaO99 · 12/01/2011 17:10

thanks for the welcome KnackeredCow I hope I have something positive to report soon!

Tina :-)
