Keziahhopes · 16/02/2011 14:02

oops, job not joy - though hopefully you are joyful!!

Keziahhopes · 16/02/2011 13:31

Congrats on the joy you wanted KC - wow, enjoy your last few days off work and on holiday!

aMuminwaiting · 16/02/2011 12:54

I used tons of different OPKs before I got the CBFM and they never gave me a proper surge. I had lines that got darker over a few days but never darker than the test line and the monitor seemed to work like a dream when I got it. I think my body is all over the place now because of what its been through and with some luck (please give me some luck) my cycles will even out soon.
I have so many people telling me "just relax, enjoy being with each other, stop thinking about making a baby" and 'there's no rush, you'll get there". These people have never had a miscarriage and don't understand the desperate need to be pregnant again.
I hope we all get BFPs very soon.

Loup23 · 16/02/2011 11:10

thanks muminwaiting having spent the entire morning googling this I'm still non the wiser so I will just try and sit out the 2ww without stressing........Hope your CBFM sorts itself out - have you tried some OPKs to see if they detect a surge?

aMuminwaiting · 16/02/2011 10:36

I don't know if it's the same thing but I've had spotting ever since my miscarriages. My GP said its down to a small cervical erosion which isn't harmful and won't effect getting pregnant or the pregnancy itself but means that the skin just inside the vagina is prone to breaking and bleeding. It happens to most women after sex but for me its on and off all of the time. I know you can get a tiny bit of blood when you have a shift in hormones too and when the egg has been released you can sometimes get a tiny bit of blood from the egg bursting out and that's not harmful either.

Loup23 · 16/02/2011 09:14

Morning all, is anyone able to help....

Had my peak days sunday and monday (days 17 and 18) followed by high on day 19 but had light spotting on morning of 19 and today. Too early for AF or implantation and have had this spotting every cycle after peak days. I'm worried this will affect me getting pregnant (implantation) even if conception occurred....does anyone have experience of this? Thanks - good luck to all x

aMuminwaiting · 16/02/2011 08:21

Hi again. Day 26 now and no ovulation. I'm losing faith in my monitor. It worked perfectly first time around. Ovulated day 15 and got my second pregnancy.
I did get an infection which the hospital took several weeks to tell me about. I took antibiotics for that. Could that have effected my cycles?
Good luck to everyone still waiting on a BFP. Hope I can be at that stage soon.

KnackeredCow · 15/02/2011 21:42

Thank you ladies for the kind comments.

Eek, implantation bleeding... Don't even want to think about that possibility. 16 cycles of AF being bang on time... you sort of begin to lose hope. Trying to ignore it. DH told me it's stress. Hmm Really don't want to get my hopes up. It's so hard not to symptom spot. I am trying to convince myself that AF is on its early way so that I don't get my hopes up.

SBC I definitely need a Brew and a Biscuit Your comment made me Grin

Storm Really pleased that things are going well for you

Tilly Are you going for a third cycle of IVF currently? I wish you all the best.

level Glad to hear that you are over one of the early hurdles. What other testing has been prescribed? This TTC business can be soul destroying Sad

tillydream · 15/02/2011 21:00

Hi All,

Keziah I have everything crossed for you. I've had 2 IVF's and both were successful in achieving a pregnancy. My clinic were great and I felt very cared for. Sending big hugs as its an emotional time and you can never have too many hugs!!

Fr00tbat zebedee SLB I have sympathy! I'm in the same position and just waiting for AF so I can start again! After 3 months of text book 28 days, it appears I'm back to no peak, sustained highs, gave up on day 28 and a long cycle. I'm putting it down to stress this time - got ISA in at school and been all over the place in terms of emotions! I'm sort of hoping that my posting might hurry it up cos trying not to symptom spot is not one of my strengths!!

Amuminwaiting Welcome, yes, after mine things were out of wack for quite a while. Sending hugs. Best piece of 'advice', if it doesn't feel right pls don't be 'fobbed off' at GPs. Ask for a referral to gynae ward as my pain was caused by tiny internal tear that needed antibiotics etc and suture.

Love and luck to all

Tilly xx

Loup23 · 15/02/2011 20:30

knackered c everything crossed for you that a bfp is on the horizon. I'm in awful 2ww which I hate, but everything crossed otherwise hope witch shows her face so we can go again!!

SlightlyBabyCrazed · 15/02/2011 19:40

Knackeredcow are you gonna be our next BFP - from the sound of your symptoms......

Brew and Biscuit for you!

level · 15/02/2011 19:35

kc implantation bleeding? Smile

I got my FSH results today - 8.3 which is the lower end of good, but still good! Now I just need to work out why I'm not preg after 17 tries!

StormBird · 15/02/2011 19:33

Hi All,

Clockspotter WOW congrats on your BFP....its funny how your migraines have been an indication cos my migraines were unvelievably intense just before I got my BFP. You'll be pleased to hear that they rapidly subsided and I haven't had one since about 6/7 weeks PG (touch wood!)

Hi Boba hope you are well. I'll be 19 weeks tomorrow. Nearly half way through. I Can't believe it!!!! I've still not settled into the whole idea yet, I just need to get the 20 weeks scan over and done with and hopefully I'll start to relax. We've been making the most of the Asda/Sainsbury's/Tesco baby events, so have stocked up on things like Sleepsuits, Nappies, Bottles and a Microwave Steraliser. Pushchair shopping is next on the agenda - its worse than buying a car! TMI My boobs leaked the other night whilst I was asleep Shock was mortified when I woke up on a pool. Apparently its normal Confused even at this stage! So watch out for that LOL!

Keziah Glad the injection went well, sorry your poorly though! Hope you feel better soon. xx

KC Well Done on getting a Job!! Thats fab news and so glad you are feeling more positive. I hope that this run of luck stays with you hun IYKWIM.

Hi to the newbies on the Thread. Sending you all lots of luck.

KnackeredCow · 15/02/2011 18:36

Hi Ladies

Congratulations clock. That's wonderful news. We really are having a good run on BFPs on the stats of late. Let's hope it's catching!

Keaiah Thank you for the compliment. Sorry I didn't post in reply, but have had two job interviews in the space of the last week so it's been really hectic preparing for them. I think jobs are like buses, there are none advertised for ages then two or three come along at the same time. A bit like the BFP board on the stats too Grin

Anyway, I really hope you are feeling better soon and those ABs do the trick. What rotten timing for you.

fr00tbat Any news yet? I agree with Keaiah that a trip to the GPs may pay off if AF doesn't arrive soon or you don't get a BFP

aMuminwaiting I am so sorry to hear about your losses Sad

Tina Don't give up hope. My mum was 42 when she had me back in the 70s. It took her five or six months to conceive. Do remember that some couples can take up to two years to conceive naturally. You still have time to get that BFP.

Loup Hope you had a lovely weekend? It was skiing wasn't it?

Well the exciting thing for me is that I have eventually got a job! I am thrilled. I have finally managed to break into the charity sector, which I've been trying to do for a while. I am having a great month so far. I've got a job, DH and I have a short break booked and I got the all clear from my HSG! Feeling much more positive.

I have a quick question about the HSG for any of you ladies that have had it done. Did any of you have light bleeding quite a few days after? The leaflet they gave me at the hospital said that I might bleed for a few days immediately after, but I started to bleed lightly yesterday.

More explicitly, this is what's happened in my cycle.
Day 9 HSG
Day 13 ovulated (earlier than normal)
Day 19 slight bleeding (spotting)
Day 20 light bleeding (TMI alert: enough to require light sanitary protection)

I think it's too early for AF as I am only 7dpo, but could the HSG have caused this? I had no bleeding for the 10 days between day 9 and 19. I am also up to date on smears so I'm not unduly concerned.

Loup23 · 15/02/2011 16:45

congrats clockspotter brilliant news - big Fx that there's more graduates this month x

zebedeethezebra · 15/02/2011 16:31

Congratulations clock. Don't worry too much about your age, you're not that old. Chances are everything will be fine!

SBC I don't normally bother to look at the lines as I get confused as to which is which, but I definitely had 2 lines on it a few days ago. Does that mean there was a surge and the monitor missed it? What I can't understand is why it hasn't gone down to 1 bar, then I can stop POAS.

Roll on AF so that I can start again! Brew

Keziahhopes · 15/02/2011 15:57

Congratulations clock - there are so many bfp's on here now! How far pregnant are you?

Hi Tina unfortunately NHS is such that if over age 39 or one of you has a child they will not fund treatment, however it can take up to a year for a natural bfp, so although you are having longer cycles there is still hope. Boba once had a cycle of over 100 days and is not with a bfp!

Injection went ok, but I am not very well with an infection so hope the AB's work well and quickly! Bad timing, so taken today and tomorrow off work, something I never do but trying to put myself first right now.

boba82 · 15/02/2011 15:30

Congratulations clock

Hi storm how's everything going? How far along are you now?

OP posts:
TinaO99 · 15/02/2011 14:50

wahay congrats clockspotter how long were you using the monitor for as a matter of interest?

SlightlyBabyCrazed · 15/02/2011 14:00

Congratulations Clockspotter that is just the sort of news I think we all need to hear!

Keziah hope all is well today.

Zebedee we seem to be in such similar situation - I have just used my last of 20 sticks today - I had one low at start then 18 highs then one low today. I did spot the extra line on the sticks around day 20 so did OPK which gave a surge - am now just waiting. I have had AF style cramps for past few days, not as severe as the real thing mind. FX it is a good sign!

AF due Thursday so am trying to think of other things and not be tempted by early tests.......

Clockspotter · 15/02/2011 13:22

Hi guys,

Apologies for the absence, have been keeping up with postings but been stowed off at work as the boss is off sick and I'm landed in it!

However, it seems like those migraine symptoms were indications of a BFP after all. Having given up waiting I did two v early test which were really faint but have just got a positive result back from the doc eventually.

After trying for 6 months I cant believe the CBFM made such a difference. Am being very cautious because of my age and we're going to take all the tests but fx anyway.

This is a really friendly, open and supportive thread and I'd like to send you all all the luck in the world x

Loup23 · 15/02/2011 12:34

Hi girls - just back from a weekend away so catching up on all the news (when actually supposed to be catching up on work!)

Tina I bizarely got my peak 5-6 days earlier than expected so the lots of SWI and now on the two week wait - fingers crossed for us both.

SBC how are you getting on? I too normally have a short LP of 8-9 days but this month I have got the peak early and am hoping that my LP will be 14 days...I've been taking evening primrose, agnus castus, B6 and B complex not sure if any of them helped.....

Zebedee I usually have lots of days of Highs (around 12 or 13) have you tried home OPKs at the same time to see if they give a surge? I've tried them and they usually tie in with my CBFM but good to have the reassurance!

Good luck to all - Im stopping the Wine for the 2ww but I had a few during the weekend away as wasnt expecting the peak... everything crossed x

TinaO99 · 15/02/2011 12:15

just started testing on low now after ovulating over the weekend - had a very romantic nights away with the husband and very eerily I peaked on the saturday so if I catch that would be such good timing and quite romantic I think lol, just have to cross fingers and hope

yesterday went to dr to find out where i can go next having had ok blood test results, so hubby is booked into see the dr nexty week to arrange having a sample, but the r has basically said that the NHS won't pay for any further treatment as I already have 1 child (although hubby has none):-( more or less what I thought but as fertility treatment is so expensive I don't think we'll be able to afford much, maybe a course of clomid I guess?!

my husband also had a 'vision' of us in the future and didn't see another child, he says he doesn't believe in these things but it still made me feel really low... just have to keep trying I guess

zebedeethezebra · 15/02/2011 09:33

Hi Mum in waiting Sorry to hear about your miscarriages.

I've had 19 days of POAS now with 2 bars for 17 of them! That's never happened to me before. I think my machine may be broken!

aMuminwaiting · 15/02/2011 09:15

Hello
I hope you can help me. I had two miscarriages last year (one 21 weeks, one 11 weeks) and have been ttc again. I did have cycles ranging from 26 days to 34 days but since my last miscarriage I've jumped to 40+ days. I didn't get ovulation on my monitor until day 26 last month and I'm currently on day 25 with 15 high days!!!! I have specks of blood when I wipe most days but the GP said I would have that now because I have an erosion. I get lots of low down back and hip pain each month. I'm worried I'm not going to ovulate this. Its so frustrating, my DH and I have been BDing like crazy but if these long cycles go on it's really cutting down our chances to conceive each year.
Anyone else had this happen?
