By hook or by crook we will shag our way to victory - thread for the JSing viroids

The (updated) (again) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator for the Viroids:

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday (or when you?ve had bad news). Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended).

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at every opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Keep acronym-age to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'. Try not to get sucked in by Fertility Friend (at least for a while), but knowing where you are in your cycle and furkling for pant snot is most definitely allowed.

Bunting is to be put out for any small victory, thread-parties are held regularly and hugs are always welcome! Grin

Once you have your BFP, feel free to hang around and share your wisdom and virtual cocktails with the JSers.

Keep us up to date with gossip!

Most of these rules are well and truly broken!! But we try to chill - honest

Glad you thought so too miffles!!!

Miffles · 10/01/2011 13:08

Is it possible for a thread to be hacked?! If so, I think we have been!!!

OP posts:
BamBam21 · 10/01/2011 12:52
Confused

TTL I think I would be a crumpled heap if I tried 3-4 times a day! Definitely need a new shag cape to get my superpowers up!

DP just emailed to say he feels worse than ever now. He shouldn't be at work, but they are so strict about sick leave. I will have to pamper him later and save up brownie points! Wink

takethatlady · 10/01/2011 12:32

Have I missed something? Confused

GabbyLoggon · 10/01/2011 12:27

A great writer said : " men are unreliable on sex and money; because their ego is tide up in both"

There may be something in that, I suppose ego is a big part of male personality

So, next time you meet a bloke, ask him how big his ego is? cheers "Gabby"

I give to "women against violence"....Samaritans and some beggars;
But you can only give what you can afford.

takethatlady · 10/01/2011 11:53

Grin nickel. You're right, 3-4 times a day is the JSing standard. Obviously the pregnancy tiredness is kicking in over here. Must get my daily shag rate up asap Grin

Miffles · 10/01/2011 11:51

I would too! Grin

who said i was winding him up? Confused

Wink
takethatlady · 10/01/2011 11:38

Grin at nickel winding her DH up and Smile Smile Smile for vallinna's solo heart-beating little sprog. I'm sure they're just being extra cautious with all that other stuff, and in all my googling research on bleeding in pregnancy it appears that clots are pretty usual and don't harm the baby. At least if you start bleeding at any time there's a good chance it's just your body getting rid of the clot and the baby will be fine :)

Spotting is down to very very low levels here, yip yip. Hoping crowette has a suitable hangover after the party, and that she enjoyed the after-party even more Wink

Sorry about the flu bambam ... sure you'll be over it in time for JSing. It's always the months you think are write-offs that go right, so fingers crossed the flu is just what you need to get knocked up!

Yes, I saw The King's Speech. I thought it was great - the acting was especially good all round, but yes, it's one of those films that will be equally good on TV/DVD. Lovely old Colin Firth - he's looking a little bit craggy now but I still would Grin

Miffles · 10/01/2011 11:12

Twisted ovary.... ooo..... Confused Angry

BamBam21 · 10/01/2011 11:00

Morning Nickel!

PMSL about your DH! I am sure you will manage to persuade him to do more than every 2 days though Wink

DP is poorly sick with a horrible flu-type bug, so no chance of any JSing for this soldier. Just hope that if I catch it, it will be gone again in a week or so. We really want to go for it this month! Grin

Crowette - how did the big birthday bash go last night? Hope the words, "Mum, you're so embarrassing", featured heavily! Grin

morning all!

welcome BamBam Grin

DH is off work for a week, so I told him last night that it means that we can JS 3 or 4 times a day.
He looked like he would pass out! Grin

That quickly went down to every 2 days. Never thought I'd see a man so worried about JSing! Shock

BamBam21 · 10/01/2011 10:32

Really pleased for you Vallinna! I am sure that everything will be just fine, and the lovely doctors and midwives will keep a good eye on you. Could you maybe try swimming instead of gym workouts?

I am all geared up for stopping smoking today Miffles. It's terrifying! I had a couple this morning, but once they are gone that will be it. Apart from the TTC benefits, £6.20 per pack is just not on. Blush

Good luck Milano.

vallinnapod · 10/01/2011 10:29

Nope - seems I am proper Victorian relaxation pregnant woman. Exercise is normally fine it is just the mild OHSS I have concerning them and the possibility of it causing my ovary to twist.

Miffles · 10/01/2011 10:01

Wahey for a teeny heart beating!! That is good news. Though sounds things are a little more complicated with other things than we'd like. But good that they're keeping an eye on things. Are you allowed to run still or is that out too? Do you know why? I was planning on still doing my exercise classes...

OP posts:
vallinnapod · 10/01/2011 09:56

Mini-Pod is in a gestational sac in my uterus and has a teeny heart beating away. Much relief. It is a solo Pod so no more thread twins here Grin There is an area of slight concern next to it which the sonographer reckons is probably a clot from implantation (I had no implantation bleeding) but they will reassess when I go back on 20th.

Because of the number of eggs retrieved my ovaries are still very swollen plus I have some other areas of fluid under my diaphragm and in the pelvic region which they need to keep an eye on.

Plus the nurse told me to stop the gym Shock by far the hardest thing for me :( It's a realy mental wellbeing/stress relief so that is going to be tough, still reassess that on the 20th too. And it really is a small price to pay! I will (leisurely) walk the 1 hour 15 to work instead Grin

GL Milano

Miffles · 10/01/2011 09:45

Morning all,

Excited to hear how the scans have gone today - Vallinna and milano if you managed to get one. Any mroe twins on the horizon?! Grin

What did you see at the cinema TTL? I want to go and see The Kings Speech. Sounds highly recommended, but can imagine it would be just as good on DVD.

BamBam how has the big quit been so far? Fingers crossed for you. Take it one day at a time and consider the reason you're doing it.

I certainly had to remember what it's all about when the alarm went off this morning and it was a shag day. SO not in the mood, but DH bless him got things going Grin. Day 14, so important to get it in. Who knows we might have made a baby!!

Crackpot - you still around?

OP posts:
takethatlady · 09/01/2011 23:23

Hi milano. Please please don't worry about this - I worried like crazy in the first few weeks (you may remember). One day I came home from work so convinced it was all going wrong, and the next day was throwing up like a good'un. You'll be heaving into the toilet bowl any time soon, I'm sure. I know when other people tell you it was fine for them it doesn't make any difference to how much you worry, but really and truly, I have learned that the symptoms come and go like mad. Do another preg test if you want to reassure yourself ... now if only I had a spare. Oh yes, I used about a thousand before my scan and now have shares in Clear Blue Grin

BamBam21 · 09/01/2011 20:31

Oh Milano, I have my fingers crossed for you. I am sure it will be fine. Hope you can get a quick scan sorted out.

The ladies here have been lovely Vallinnapod. It's good to be amongst others who know what it's all like. So tired of people (even my mum) telling me just to be happy with DS. Angry Of course I'm happy with him, I'd just really love another with DP. Funny how the folk that say that always seem to have 2 or 3 DCs already!

Dreading the big quit day tomorrow...... Sad

SingingMog · 09/01/2011 18:52

Argh! Milano don't worry. xxx

Welcome BamBam Smile.

LOL at dreams!!

No new news here, docs Tues to tell them about duffage.

vallinnapod · 09/01/2011 18:01

Fingers crossed Milano -I am SURE everything is fine. Totally panicking over my scan tomorrow too so can sympathise and virtually hold your hand xxx

Welcome bambam! I think the ladies on here rock Grin Non-judgemental, supportive and just the right amount of insanity! xxxxx

milanomum · 09/01/2011 17:51

Hello Bambam (what an apt name Wink)!

Ladies I am having a major, major freak out. Tits no longer sore except for a couple of hours in the evening, mild nausea but nothing major and...well... I just don't feel pregnant anymore. Hoping to get lucky with a last-minute private scan tomorrow or tuesday but am going mad and have convinced myself that it'll be bad news. Wahhhhhhhh!
