By hook or by crook we will shag our way to victory - thread for the JSing viroids

The (updated) (again) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator for the Viroids:

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday (or when you?ve had bad news). Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended).

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at every opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Keep acronym-age to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'. Try not to get sucked in by Fertility Friend (at least for a while), but knowing where you are in your cycle and furkling for pant snot is most definitely allowed.

Bunting is to be put out for any small victory, thread-parties are held regularly and hugs are always welcome! Grin

Once you have your BFP, feel free to hang around and share your wisdom and virtual cocktails with the JSers.

Keep us up to date with gossip!

Most of these rules are well and truly broken!! But we try to chill - honest

God it's cold. And a tree has snapped our phone line. Haven't left house, other than to do horses outside, for a week. What's the point in snow if you aren't skiing, I wonder?

nomore fingers crossed for seeing the bean! Everyone else - be careful/ keep warm/keep out of ditches/work normal hours/ POAS as appropriate. On iPhone and hands too cold to type more Xmas Sad

nickeldonkeyonadustyroad · 03/12/2010 13:08

no, he's cute!

did you POAS yet?

milanomum · 03/12/2010 13:05

Don't you think he's a bit scary - it's the lack of smile...

nickeldonkeyonadustyroad · 03/12/2010 12:56

Although yay for [fbear] finally showing up! Xmas Grin

JosieSmith1 · 03/12/2010 12:12

Well I clicked it and just ended up here again Xmas HmmXmas Confused

JosieSmith1 · 03/12/2010 12:09

Ooooo, I've got that button now, shall I click it?

JosieSmith1 · 03/12/2010 12:09

No idea about the submit query button Eskarina Xmas Hmm. You should come visit here when you're feeling better, we've got over a foot of snow to go round!

takethatlady · 03/12/2010 11:31

Ha! Didn't see [fbear] option before. No idea what 'submit query' thing means, sorry!

milano how about testing but keeping a supply of commiseration/celebration treats right next to you? I.e. BFN - favourite chocolate. BFP - favourite chocolate and a big whoop whoop Xmas Smile

Eskarina · 03/12/2010 10:55

Ooh ooh, I made the "submit query" button appear on the bottom of the thread. What's all that about then?

Eskarina · 03/12/2010 10:54

Everything crossed for the scan NMCB How exciting to see bean for the first time.

Dyna def agree you should tell someone at work to protect you from having to work those sort of hours

Josie Glad you're OK. I'm still slightly grumpy we've not had any real snow here though. Although as I've mostly been in bed for the last 4 days I'd not have been able to go out and enjoy it anyway. Plus I'm a complete wimp when it comes to driving

and [fbear] just because I can

nickeldonkeyonadustyroad · 03/12/2010 10:31

hope your scan goes well NMCB

aBrightStarWithFestiveWays · 03/12/2010 10:27

Good luck with your scan today nmcb :)

milanomum · 03/12/2010 10:24

NMCB good luck today!!! fingers crossed for getting to scan and having a great scan too :)

Dyna You really need to tell work so you can take it easy. Sounded like a nightmare night...

TTL I'm sure things will be just fine. Tell the world!

Josie Your life is certainly eventful these days - glad you are ok!

Still can't bring myself to test...

takethatlady · 03/12/2010 10:19

nmcb good luck today! And keep safe josie and star!

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 03/12/2010 09:59

Josie! take care!!

Now all the hot water has run out. I feel so utterly manky, can't even wash my face. Down stairs has water though. Lucky old bat (to be fair she is giving us some cold water)

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 03/12/2010 09:46

Dyna tbh beanis is probably just fine, it's you who you need to be looking after. As long as you are well bean will just keep ticking along getting bigger but if you get run down and tired it'll make life that much harder for you. I'd tell work if I were you.

Scan day is here and so is the snow again. Hasn't ruddy snowed since Monday. If scan is cancelled I'm going to cry! Already the cold water has frozen in the pipes so I can't shower. Oh what a morning! DS also tried his hand at melting megabloks on the gas fire (our only source of heat now as CH is off) so the living room stinks.

And I've just realised I still have another page to read.

BB really pleased it was just a scare not an issue. Considering how far gone you are a little spotting is quite normal (your body being a bit confused).

aBrightStarWithFestiveWays · 03/12/2010 09:46

Yikes Josie, please take good care of yourself. I did a proper pratfall on the way to work this morning, the pavements are like a bloody skating rink Hmm

JosieSmith1 · 03/12/2010 09:44

[fshock ]Dyna I would definitely tell those who need to know but ask them to keep it quiet.

SingingMog please take some of our snow, it?s -14 degrees here!

TTL I?m sure there?s no problem telling people at this stage, hope you can relax about it soon, and keep talking to the bean Xmas Grin

I?ve had a rather traumatic morning ? skidded off the road and got well and truly stuck in a ditch! At 7am. Luckily someone from the yard next door came down and pushed me out, but then as he reversed back up the drive (it?s a single track lane with passing places) he got stuck and I had to push him out. So instead of parking at work (they?ve slightly cleared the car park) I have parked at home and walked in again, can?t take the stress! I?ve really had enough of this weather now!

takethatlady · 03/12/2010 09:03

Oh my goodness dyna how awful! Do you have an HR department? Maybe just tell them and they can make sure it's kept quiet?

I am scared because I have told a lot of people this week - all my old colleagues from my old job. Was meant to be going out for drinks with them last night but knew I wouldn't be able to hide the lack of drinking (one of them emailed back and said 'As the Cambridge drink trade is going to be quaking in its boots for the next 7 months we'll do our best to fill the gap' Xmas Grin) and as I was feeling sick again I cancelled but told them all. I was in a team of 15 people and only one of them (really good friend) already knew. They were all lovely about it :)

Worried that I have told people too early. Still 13 days till my 12+3 week scan. Keep talking to the baby (like a nutter) to convince myself it's still there ... probably I'm driving it nuts already Xmas Grin

aBrightStarWithFestiveWays · 02/12/2010 21:01

Dyna definitely tell the relevant person/s at work, no one should have to work those hours - pregnant or not! I hope you've at least been given a day in lieu to recover.

SingingMog · 02/12/2010 20:59

So glad spotting turned out to be nothing BB. Relief and virtual champers all round.

I agree with escapeartist, Dyna. Think you should tell work, you don't want anything to happen to the little bean.

Miffles - excited for you Xmas Grin.

I have told DH that it is his responsibility not to agree to the JSing this month if I start demanding it!

Snow sounds bad for some of you, but is OK here. Just been at school Christmas bingo (providing musical entertainment) and quite impressed I'm in before 9pm. People are still there playing bingo tho. Was -1 deg C when I left. Brrrrrrrrrr.

LOL at poles and Santa battling through snow to get to nickel!

escapeartist · 02/12/2010 19:41

Dyna I would def tell work, though only those who needed to know and would completely expect them to keep it quiet.

BB great news. One wipe is really nothing, but I expect it is must be so nerve wracking.

AF due on Sat for me (or thereabouts, have regular 31 day cycles, apart from last two which were both 35 so not 100% what to expect) but won't be testing as only BD'd twice and at the wrong time. Fingers crossed for everyone else - it is the right time of year for BFP's!!! (though not drinking...)

Dynababy · 02/12/2010 18:13

Hi all, not been on much as mega busy with work .. slightly worried (understatement) its not good for the bean .... we had a massive incident yesterday (lost all our systems) and basically I worked all through the night last night to recover the situation .. I ended up being in work from 9am yesterday until 6:30am today Sad .. I've now had a few hours sleep but migraine and pain in side of stomach ... I'm so worried doing stupid amounts of work might harm the little bean (officially its size now at 7 weeks!) ... fingers crossed, I'm hoping pain is becuase i'm also now a bit bunged up Blush ..but not normal.

I have a dimlema ... to tell work early to get a risk assessment and hopefully not have to work like a loon or get on with it until the 5th of Jan when I have 12 week scan (2 weeks off at xmas nearly). What would you do?

Sorry very self centred post just feeling Sad

BB so glad browness came to nothing.

Miffles good luck with first 'proper' month TTC and dildo cam!

Everyone else (except drunken Mog Xmas Grin)roll on 2ww madness... and hopefully more good news. No one answered Nervous who is next to test??
