By hook or by crook we will shag our way to victory - thread for the JSing viroids

The (updated) (again) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator for the Viroids:

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday (or when you?ve had bad news). Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended).

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at every opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Keep acronym-age to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'. Try not to get sucked in by Fertility Friend (at least for a while), but knowing where you are in your cycle and furkling for pant snot is most definitely allowed.

Bunting is to be put out for any small victory, thread-parties are held regularly and hugs are always welcome! Grin

Once you have your BFP, feel free to hang around and share your wisdom and virtual cocktails with the JSers.

Keep us up to date with gossip!

Most of these rules are well and truly broken!! But we try to chill - honest

Where on earth do you work, Truffkin? That sounds amazing work do!! Xmas Envy Have they got any jobs??!!

Truffkin · 14/12/2010 17:51

Hi Viroids, thanks for the congrats! I only had to answer a question on the intranet, so don't really deserve it Blush

Wow Vallinna that's great news, you are really steaming ahead now. It feels like you waited for so long and now things are practically sprinting along, fingers tightly crossed for viable embryos to transfer - come on you guys!

I've been busy at work today so not managed to get on here at all. It's our Christmas party tonight as well so I need to shoot off and get changed plus stick a bit of make up on to make an effort Grin

Last year it was a great night (we had Jools Holland and Peter Andre so something for every taste!) and there are rumours of Westlife tonight, so we shall see what delights are in store! I did also hear a rumour of Take That performing but I have certainly not got my hopes up as I don't think they are too in love with my Company so would be unlikely to put in an appearance.

I think I'll be really busy now up until Christmas as I have the whole week off on holiday from 23rd December. This does of course mean that hopefully my mind will be firmly taken off the 2WW (no chance!)

Glad you are busy too Nickel maybe the Christmas rush is coming after all.

Also pleased that you are finally coming through the MS phase TakeThat now you will be blooming I'm sure!

takethatlady · 14/12/2010 16:54

MS is much better thanks miffles. It has been almost gone for a week now. Still not really enjoying food, which is very alien, and had a random recurrence of it yesterday and threw up before bed, but mainly it's okay :) Scan on Thursday. I can NOT wait

Glad you've got good business nickel!

nickeldonkeycarrymary · 14/12/2010 15:23

yeay! vallinna ! that's brilliant Xmas GrinXmas Grin

fingers and everything crossed for you.

I'm working today - i have been stupidly busy (not all coming through the door, but you can't have everything!) I've had customer orders delivered, but i can't ring the customers because there's always someone in the shop. Confused

SnowMiffles · 14/12/2010 15:13

I can just imagine you, TTL squashing your baby as you like the idea of it bumbling in there!! LOL!!

At 2DPO there isn't much harm in a bit of squashing!! I am CD20, so approx 6DPO, and was full of confidence to DH that what I did made no difference to the omelette. However, as I was doing the millionth sit up, I did wonder!!

How's your MS TTL? Settled down a bit? When's your next scan?

takethatlady · 14/12/2010 14:39

Whooops - forgot to say a big heeeelllooooooo to miffles from across the void ... Where IS everyone?! Don't tell me you're working. That's just not good enough...

takethatlady · 14/12/2010 14:38

Whoop whoop vallinna that's amazing - from 3 to 18 and then 13 of them fertilized! That's got to be good going.

Can't wait for your 2ww. You are going to be MENTAL Xmas Grin

truffkin don't worry about the squishing. That's what all that fluid is for Grin I squish my belly all the time because apparently it makes the baby wake up and move about ... I'm sure I'm annoying the hell out of it but it's nice to think of it bumbling about in there ...

Wish I never said anything about X Factor now it's turned into a crazy Daily Mail storm-in-a-teacup. I really need to get a life Xmas Blush

SnowMiffles · 14/12/2010 14:22

Very quiet on here today.....am able to be online and there's no one to chat to....

vallinnapod · 14/12/2010 13:49

Yep, 2WW follows... I'll be lucky to have a hubby let alone a pregnancy by the end of that Wink

SnowMiffles · 14/12/2010 10:21

OH MY WORD!! That's fantastic news Vallinna!!! 13 embryos!! Wowserz!! So transfer either Thur or Sat....it is happening quickly now. Such good news. Do you then have the 2ww after that? It's hardly surprising that you're not sleeping. So much on your mind and the drugs will be playing havoc with you as well. Did I say that I had night sweats and insomnia just from 50mg of clomid? And you've had way worse than that!! Well done, our star JSer!!

Shock - the look on your face twice a day, though!! Xmas Wink

vallinnapod · 14/12/2010 10:02

Congrats truff, brilliant prize!!

miffs completely get you with the 'thinking about it all the time' it does sometimes feel the OH's just don't quite get it and then they surprise us!!

Crap news here in that I STILL didn't sleep last night but.....13 out of 18 eggs have become embryos!!!! I can't tell you how pleased I am that another hurdle is cleared. They will grade them on Thursday morning for possible transfer later that day. They will let them go to blast stage if they don't have any good enough for transfer in Saturday. Fingers, toes and legs crossed!!

PS one thing worse than injecting every day? Pessaries up the backdoor twice a day...!!!

SnowMiffles · 14/12/2010 09:06

Yay for winning a competition, Truffkin! That's fab...what did you have to do? Would love a weekend away.

My DH was the sweetest yesterday. He doesn't seem to show that much interest in what is going on....now, of course, he knows and is aware, but he doesn't think about it all the time like someone else!! Xmas Wink Anyway, yesterday morning he asked when the next scan or blood test was and when would we know if this month had worked. Then before I went to my legs/bums/tums class, he told me to be careful not to dislodge our omelette (in case we've made one). Xmas Grin He clearly is pondering it all and is secretly really wants to be a dad.

How's everyone today?

BB - feeling anymore with it, positive, coming to terms with where you are? Really hope so.

Some asked for Nickel's website. It's here And she's got even more in stock if you ring to pick her brains! And free postage. Whoop whoop!!

Truffkin · 13/12/2010 22:38

Great news Vallinna and yay for the pods, all that hard work is starting to pay off!

Am cream crackered tonight so having an early night. I had a good day today though and the highlight was winning a competition at work. The prize is a Mr & Mrs Smith weekend away. I've looked at their hotels before and they are very swanky so can't wait for that.

Have obviously convinced myself I'm pg already (impossible at 2DPO of course!) and had a moment of worry this morning when getting very squashed on the tube. Maybe I'll have to avoid rush hour if I do get my BFP at any stage Blush

santababy2b · 13/12/2010 17:39

Eskarina, my symptoms are pretty similar to yours so far. I'm on cd32 which is the latest I have ever been.

I have my doctors appointment in half an hour to get my six week scan booked and for my thyroid levels to be checked. Really nervous for some reason, though feel more confident than I did with my last bfp?

Vallina 18 is excellent! Hope you are catching up on missed sleep now.

Sleepycaz how are you today? x

SnowMiffles · 13/12/2010 17:28

Wow, Vallinna !!! 18!! That's amazing. Sounds way more than you'd expected. Thanks for letting us know. Hope you're now able to rest rest rest and your mind is also able to relax a bit now. xx

aBrightStarWithFestiveWays · 13/12/2010 17:09

Esk I had no symptoms with DS at all. This time I've got sore boobs, sickness, the lot!

vallinna that is amazing, well done you and your super ovaries! :)

Eskarina · 13/12/2010 16:27

Hoorah for successful egg collection vallinna

I've just booked my GP appointment for next monday. The receptionist was a little funny with me because I asked if I had to see the doctor or midwife.

If I didn't know though I wouldn't suspect. Apart from a few cramps and really sore boobs every so often I don't feel anything symptom wise. I hope that's not a bad sign. Never been pg before so I don't know what to expect.

NoMoreSnowPlease · 13/12/2010 15:22

Bunting for Vallinna. That's 18 potential little 'Linna pods! Grin.

Good luck for tomorrow Milano.

Besides doing proper house work for the first time in ohh, at least 6 weeks, I'm watching way to much TV today as poor DS has a high temp and when he's awake just wants to cuddle in my lap.

milanomum · 13/12/2010 13:51

Hello all!
First of all, sleepycaz how are you doing? I hope there's still some hope there - I had a friend who bled all through her pregnancy and now has a lovely 5-month old so fingers crossed for you.

vallinna (who i called 'vanilla' for aaagggeesss Blush) that's great, great news!!

santababy wooopppeee for your BFP! and eskarina so glad it's getting stronger!

I had a fab weekend away but am completely exhausted! Have a private scan tomorrow morning to see if things are progressing...

vallinnapod · 13/12/2010 13:33

Hi all,

Just a quickie as very tired after not sleeping last night but EC went very well. Got 18 so fingers crossed x

takethatlady · 13/12/2010 09:22

Good luck today vallinna! Hope there's an egg sandwich in there :)

Truffkin · 13/12/2010 08:56

Vallinna good luck for today, sending virtual hand squeezes your way!

TakeThat am Confused at the PM you received. I've assumed the thread was AIBU in which case it is asking for opinions and surely as a public forum anyone can post! I've occasionally posted on AIBU / chat threads but generally tend to stick to conception and Strictly chat Grin

Re: X Factor, we watched it Sky + so fast forwarded through Rhianna and most of Xtina's performance. Now that is definitely middle aged behaviour for you. However, I could have happily watched an extra hour of Strictly!

SnowMiffles · 12/12/2010 23:22

TTL - I am totally with you on Rhianna and Christina. Was totally Shock at all the actions going on. Not suitable TV for pre-watershed. Certainly would not want my daughter watching that and thinking it was acceptable. Also rather like lavender and comfy flat shoes!!! Xmas Grin

LOL at Vallinna and non-matching undies! Thinking of you tomorrow.

Sorry Josie and Nelly are out of the running this month. But it does mean you'll have a more fun Christmas. Concentrate on that and the JSing that coming up.

takethatlady · 12/12/2010 21:37

And Xmas Sad about the dress on ebay ... you'll find another.

I hear vom chic is very in these days, anyway :)

takethatlady · 12/12/2010 21:36

Xmas Grin brightstar, good advice!
