had pant snot yesterday evening, so told DH (who knows nothing about these things...) that it meant perfect shagging time. to which (because we didn't have time because we were going out), he made his Steptoe face and said "pant snot" about 5 times in his "fake shagging voice" (think someone pretending to be a dirty old man)

Mog that almost sounded like an exceptionally personal question you were asking me there! Then my normal brain kicked in. I wrote christmas cards, read MN and talked to DH (even snuggled on the couch for about 30 seconds). Maybe not very relaxing or exciting, but it felt GREAT! Think I could do with a drink as am slowly becoming the crankiest wife on earth. Have just told DH off because he promised to leave school at 3 on the dot because a lady was coming in to his department who has recently had radiotherapy and pre-warned him that she is not allowed to come into contact with pregnant people. Of course he forgot to plan his lessons which have to be covered while he's at the scan tomorrow, so he chanced it and stayed late. Even though he didn't actually see this woman (and he was only being cautious in the first place) I didn't let him in for about 10 mins when he got home and then nagged on at him about how I'm going to get pissed at our Christmas party 'cos what the heck ... he's already (almost) exposed me to radiation.

I really need to lighten the f* up!

TTL boo for work Tech problems, so frustrating. I work in HR and partner with Technology so I get to hear first hand all of the problems that go on. I know it can really disrupt your plans for the day. At least you have the chocolate to lift your spirits and think of it this way, you will be in such a good mood after your scan that going into work will pale into insignificance!

NoMore glad your appetite is returning but that the sickness isn't buggering off yet! Excellent news on playgroup = me time and at least you can suffer in comfort without having extra Mummy duties to worry about.

So the Christmas party was great, although it went really quickly. It started at 6.30pm and went on until 1am but went by in a flash. My favourite thing was getting to meet Shaun Ryder (I had my photo taken with him and crouched down a bit as he is quite short and I was in heels. He made me retake it standing up straigh as he 'likes tall birds' I'm not really that tall but he's so little for a man! Westlife did perform, as did Shane Ward (better than I thought he would be, great voice and quite handsome) and Stacey Solomon. They had the voiceover guy from the X Factor programme doing the compering, which was funny and he got everyone very hyped up for each 'surprise' guest. Meeting some b list slebs (Terry Christian, Katie Waissel and someone from Holloyoaks), lots of lovely food and many, many drinks (mixing beer, wine, cocktails and whisky does not make for a happy get up times on a school night) made for a great evening. I think that's worth one of these

Not much news here. Slowly regaining my appetite, so yesterday I threw up hamburger rather than just toast or similar. YUCK.

The entire university web system is down. You can't log onto the website, I can't do all my module evaluation forms and registers, I can't open half my documents because I can't connect to the network, and I can't log in to my email account. This is the 2nd day! There is no explanation for it. All the students are going mental as they've got deadlines tomorrow and they can't cheat their essays on wikipedia and googlebooks - and more seriously they can't access saved versions of their work on email/university computers. I now have to go to work tomorrow after my scan, when I was going to stay at home, because I can't access all my stuff before Christmas unless I go there then. Work is 60 miles away from home FFS.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

On a positive note, I have got a Cadbury's advent calendar and the chocolates get bigger every day. Today's was mahooosive

Thanks ladies - brilliant news milano and good luck with the scan dynababy. It'll be lovely to have something to hang onto over Christmas. And YES, this has been the loooooooooongest 12 weeks EVER! (especially as technically it's only been 9 since I found out).

Went for dinner with old colleagues/friends last night. It was lovely to see them and two of my old bosses were there and were really sweet about the baby (they already knew - I told them after the last scan when I was meant to go out and get pissed with them). This other girl quizzed me quite publicly on whether or not it was planned and how quickly it had happened, though, which made me want to throw my chicken shish at her. Obviously I just politely lied and changed the subject ...

So chicken shish eaten, dignity intact, scan tomorrow ... 27 1/2 hours to go 27 1/2 hours to go .......

Vallinna how exciting!!! How many will the put back in, do you know? My friend had 3 in and she is now 13 weeks pregnant with twins! Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly (though not sure about the pessaries... but i guess you gotta do what you gotta do. Hopefully your kids will be eternally grateful :)

Milano congratulations - did you cry?? I am sure I will be there (when it all happens) crying like a baby. What a great (early) Xmas present!!

3 more days until end of school. Kids are hyper on pe-Xmas excitement and sugar. I am baking with them today - should be interesting and might in fact put me off having kids and going back on contraception...

Brightstar I have also been doing quite a lot of lurking cos feeling fat and frumpy and a bit blahh! I'm just wishing the days away until next Monday the 20th, I've goot my first midwife appt and also booked private early scan (I'll by 9 and a half weeks then) as I didn't think i could get through xmas holidays and be sane if I didn't know whether everything OK or not! I really hope its good news then I'll be broadcasting the news of bean - fingers crossed! I did end up telling my boss after missing a meeting due to puking .... so now have risk assessment next Tuesday where I'll be asking that I do no more all nighters , working 21 hours on the trot no good!

TTL yay for your scan (doesn't it feel like longest 12 weeks of life?). Good luck for Thursday, you'll be grand good strong hormones proven by your vomiting ..and totally normal its tailing off so good signs!

Just caught up as haven't been on for a couple of days, sorry for lack of comments.

I was shocked with X Factor rudeness too. Was very raunchy. You'd think this would be OK with us given all the shagging, but there you go! Also how is it possible that someone can make money from singing and not even be able to sing in tune (Rhianna and all X Factor finalists fall into this category). Discussed this with some students today who told me that Rhianna is much better since she had singing lessons. Why didn't she do this BEFORE she got famous? OK will stop ranting now

I have JSed SEVEN times in the last week (once twice in one day). I am quite proud of this . DH is also quite pleased and smug-looking! FF seems to think that I won't ovulate until about CD22 so have much more shagging to do as only on about CD12 or 13 I think. Don't know why FF thinks I won't ov till then...

P.S. Cat seems to be behaving himself at the moment!
