WhyWait and JS - i really hope you both get your BFP's.

I find it quite nerve wracking when i think about TTC for the first time and it not happening immediately...I'm sure come October onwards I'll drive you all crazy!! Smile

Bebe - is it possible that your OH is saying he doesn't want another child now because he is so stressed...maybe talk to him about telling work he has too little work-life balance and it's causing problems?? Just a thought! xxx

AC - totally understand about the ddepression...been there myself...and have had the same exact thought...i'm still on my meds and have to start weaning off them now if i'm to TTC this year...does anyone know how likely it is that i'll end up with post-natal depression??

My friend that is only 6 weeks PG had an early scan yesterday because off all her complications and there was a heartbeat and everything is fine at this point. Waiting until 12 weeks is going to be awful and even beyond that given her history...thinking sticky thoughts and also little girl thoughts!!!

AmandaCooper · 14/01/2011 22:01

I'll tell you what Bebe, and I hesitated too long about saying this before when Quodlibet (was it Quod?) was talking about it - but when I went through a bad bout of depression a couple of years ago, having a baby was absolutely the last thing I wanted and I told a very close friend at the time that the reason was that I felt it was better not to ever be born. Obviously I don't feel that way anymore.

bebejones · 14/01/2011 21:37

Wow Mrs, when DD was 5 months having DH anywhere near me was absolutely the last thing on my mind!! She is a very brave woman!

Consider yourself virtually slapped...I have actually slapped myself!

Think whoever said about DH being too stressed to procreate was probably right. He is stressed up to his eyeballs (again) and no end in sight. Can't be healthy for one person to have his workload. :(

Logistically it is much easier if you slap yourselves on one another's behalf.

MrsSatsuma · 14/01/2011 20:37

I can't slap you, my DH's cousin has just announced she is pg with her fourth - the youngest is only 5 months! :) for her but also Envy Tell you what, we'll both slap each other at the same time!!

bebejones · 14/01/2011 19:49

Aaaaaaarrrgghh! DHs cousin is 12wks PG with her 3rd! Want to be happy for her but feel rotten! Envy :(

Somebody slap me!

Sorry I missed all the excitement, our broadband has been off all day! BT can't come and check it til Tuesday, & our phone is crackling so loudly it's impossible to hold a conversation!!

100 - That is such brilliant news, I am so relieved & happy for you! :) Sorry you are so sick. Eat little & often & try & drink as much as possible, just keep sipping, because puking on an empty stomach is horrid!

Spent 4.5 hours decorating DHs cake today! Knackered now!

Hopefully will get back on again over the weekend!

FX for the both of us. Can't rembember but I am assuming that you are actually TTC and not just crap at contraception like me!!

Still feeling very sick but trying to keep busy to take my mind off it :) Am also looking bloated but that could just be a combination of weight gain and wishful thinking!!!

If you got a BFP, when would you be due (assumes that everybody is like her and instantly uses the due date calculator as soon as there is even a possibility..... Blush)

so with you WhyWait. This 2WW is driving me slightly mad!!

I have now got period type cramps even though AF isn't due for another week and I've never had a cycle this short. Am I clutching at straws?!?!?

Damn it. Posted and then MN crashed!!

In know what you mena about only being able to enjoy a music festival if drunk.... sounds bad doesn't it but I am exactly the same. God knows how I will manage 9 months of socialising with no booze and a huge list of restricted foods (I may have to take the French approach and have the odd glass every now and then and use common sense when it comes to foods!!!)

AmandaCooper · 14/01/2011 09:03

JS I just read the whole of her second thread! I'm surprised the media didn't camp outside her house, that was epic! It's in chat, if anyone wants to read it.

Can't decide whether to ttc in March or wait until after the big music event DH and I have tickets to on 25th. AF is always regular as clockwork and should arrive in time for me to go if I'm not pg. I only want to go if I can get very drunk and enjoy myself. DH says he's happy to go with a friend if I can't go.

I can't help thinking this could be our last big blow out for a very long time and I'd be sorry to miss it... but I can hear the clock ticking pretty loud.

jbells · 14/01/2011 08:47

ahhh thats great new 100 glad everythin is ok

100years · 14/01/2011 06:31

Thanks ladies for all your good wishes. I've still not checked fully back through the thread, I know I am really bad. I will try this evening if I'm feeling OK. Puke central!

Quodlibet · 13/01/2011 22:31

100 - really glad you've had good news today.

I am totes shattered too - a whole day with Yr 4 and 5 today, and another tomorrow. I don't have the stamina for it, I tell you!

squirrel007 · 13/01/2011 22:31

Great news 100years, I'm so pleased for you :)

MrsSatsuma · 13/01/2011 22:13

JS - right with you. I want one now!!! DH has just rolled his eyes at me (in a nice way) when I bemoaned the fact that I won't be able to OV test on Sat as will be at my mum's (she might get a bit suspicious if I pee in a cup and leave it for 20mins in her bathroom... nice...). Have got faint but definite line today so hoping for a strong one tomorrow so I won't need to worry!!

Off to bed - lesson plan all done, hoping I won't mess it up tomorrow!
