whywait we do some hand signs- like if i say to her what do u want to sing she will either do the action for twinkle twinkle or do a quack quack action i do for 5 little ducks, its not proper signing just actions i do whilst singing, i always know wot she wants as she will either take me to it, try to say the word or point and shout, if i ask her to get the bubbles or socks she will so im pretty sure she knows wot things are but is having troube saying the words, still a big improvement on a few months ago when she wasnt trying to say anything or talking in her own language so fingers crossed her language is developing, shes been on the waiting list for speech therapy for 3 months now and i still havnt recieved anything from them :(

100years · 18/01/2011 13:02

Not really, nothing seems to help at the moment. :( I'm feeling really quite miserable.

Thanks both.

I've got loads of ginger type stuff, some ginger cake that lasted approx 15 mins in me the other day, ginger tea which I've not tried yet.

Oooh WW, double hopes then for saturday.

100- sorry your feeling so bad the first few weeks r the worst, i have fainted twice during this pg and feel faint a lot, and if its any consolation i have never heard that i look glowing etc, just that i look like crap unwell, grey etc (the joy of truthful mother lol) take time of work and try to relax, really hope it improved for u soon

JS- sorry u got a BFN hopefully once u start trying properly u will get a BFP very soon :)

bebe- sorry your feeling so low, mayb u cud try a nite out alone with your friends where u dont have to be wife or mum, u can just be bebe this always makes me feel betterwhen im having a bad time at home

AC- ye that sounds like an idea, i dont mind wotever everyone else thinks

whywait- yes DD is very hyper agen lol she hasnt stopped running round house and shouting nonsense ( i just wish i understood her)

herade up language is cute but i am starting to get concerned she will need speech therapy she has just turned 21 months and whilst her understanding has come on loads think she understands most of what i say her speech hasnt she hads a few words like ball, quick, kick, duck, bubble she say bubu juice is uice, and occasionall mama, dada, and a few other bits i have only heard once or twice but she doesnt really say a lot of real words andsome of them are hard to understand to anyone but me :( ive seen a lot of threads on mumsnet asking about children this age not talking so hopefully she will start more soon

sorrry if i missed anyone typing at lightning speed b4 DD disappears agen

bebe sorry nothing is happening still for you. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that things work out for you. Your cake is fabulous :)

JS sorry AF got you, hot water bottle on belly worked for me when I had bad cramps with AF. And you are definitely not an idiot, and you haven't dominated the thread at all.

WW the weekend is getting closer?

jbells yay for movements getting stronger now. Love hearing about your LO and her language. I think my OH has already settled on a boy's name if it is a boy, given I'm only 7 weeks, I feel it's a tad early to be confirming anything!

nannyl Sorry the sickness has now got you :( It sucks, big time.

strawberry the waiting doesn't end when you have a BFP I'm afraid!!! It's all waiting and waiting.

MrsS fingers crossed for you

AC I think the two threads idea is great, because then other newbies will join in and not feel surrounded by people who are already TTC or upduffed, and it means we are staying together as a group in the other one.

Right then, me stuff....

Last night I went to work, nearly passed out twice, ended up being brought home by someone from work as I was advised by the para not to drive, now my car is at work, 15 miles from where I live with no other car in the household to go with OH to pick it up. I am feeling retched. I feel faint even before I've sat up in bed. I feel constantly sick, and am bringing up bile sometimes. I've lost just over half a stone in the past 10 days, which is fine as I am carrying a lot of weight, but it's also not as it's a lot to lose so quickly. I have no idea how people do this if they have another child and work. I cried last night at work because of feeling so poorly, and apparently I look like shit too. I've started taking the tablets the doc prescribed. And I don't know how to explain to my OH how bad I feel without sounding feeble. It's weird, I'm so happy to be pg, but it's such hard work I'm I'm really really struggling.

I have the midwife coming over this afternoon, I predict a lot of tears.

:( but fine I guess. The timings would have been pretty bad and now I am going to focus on getting fit and healthy and having a few big nights out before we pfficially start to TTC in May.

How is everybody else? I feel I have rather dominated the thread this week with my self indulgent "am I aren' I" dilemma!!!

AmandaCooper · 18/01/2011 07:09

Oh JS sorry to hear that. How do you feel about it?

JustShaggingForNow · 18/01/2011 06:37

Morning all. BFN this morning and AF has arrived and is incredibly painful. Lucky me.

bebe sorry to hear that you are so down at the moment. I hope that you managed to get some sleep last night and didn't have any horrible dreams.

AmandaCooper · 18/01/2011 00:11

Ladies we're coming up to the end of the thread... and I wonder if once this one's full we could start a new "in it together" thread especially for our group and a new "waiting to ttc" thread for those few of us who are still waiting at the bus stop and any newbies who might come along?

Bebe I'm sorry to hear things aren't going too well. I hope you get a decent nights rest and don't have bad dreams. Things will get better.

bebejones · 17/01/2011 22:48

Feeling pretty low & miserable & don't want to drag you all down. Was just checking in while I can (internet dodgy still) & saw how busy it was in here!

JS - We wait with bated breath! Just hoping that you get the best result for you, whether that be +ve or -ve, it seems like there are pros & cons for both!

I also had cramps for 2 weeks when PG with DD. I really thought AF was going to arrive hence why I tested so early! I just had to know if the bitch was gonna show up & ruin my wedding! Wink

Need to go to bed, but feeling anxious about having more bad dreams. Haven't had a decent night now in over a week, not been this tired since DD was a newborn! :(

JustShaggingForNow · 17/01/2011 20:32

Pretty sure AF will arrive tomorrow as the cramps are really bad now and although it's very early and really light I think I can say fir sure that I'm back to waiting!!! :(

strawberrypie · 17/01/2011 20:30

whywait- I have been feeling both exited and a little bit daunted about TTC. I am a bit worried that my cycles are still not settled after coming off the pill in October and am not sure if I am am even ovulating. I started taking my temps this month and am on CD15 and have not had a thermal shift yet despite my CM peaking two days ago which is a bit confusing. Time will tell! There is such a lot of waiting involved in this whole process and I am only on my first month so I can't imagine how you are feeling!

Never mind GOML's POAS thread, this is far more exiting JS! Can't wait for tomorrow!

jbells- sounds like a perfect evening! We have had a Mexican night tonight and will be watching Glee later (I am such a geek!)

Hope the sickness does not last long nannyl. Bebe has the best advice on anti-nausea remedies!

jbells · 17/01/2011 19:20

squirral i altho my bump is quitebig and round now i still feel more fat than pg if u know wot i mean

so on the agenda for my nite in alone (DP is going to play football) starting watching sex and the city season one with a curry, then afta that indulge in some hagen daz chocolate ice cream :)

hope everyone has a nice nite

bebe amazing cake! I reckon you could easily set up your own crafty business if you decide against teaching :)

nannyl really sorry to hear about the sickness :( I also decided in the first trimester that I hated being pg, although felt bad saying that as I am excited to think about being a mum. DH understood though (I think) and was great when I was feeling rough. It should pass soon though - mine eased off quite a lot as early as 10 weeks. Also noticed a lot of black/grey/white maternity clothes, but I wear those sorts of colours for work anyway and will jazz the stuff up with a few coloured accessories.

jbells can't believe you're 22 weeks already! Over half way Grin your DD's made-up language sounds very cute.

MrsS I had pg symptoms (in hindsight!) at about 3.5 weeks, even when the pg test was -ve. I was super tired and my bra size went up! Got nausea, extreme tiredness and going to the loo all the time around 6 weeks.

Am keeping my fingers crossed for all the ttcers this month :)

I am definitely into the "feeling fat not pg" stage now! The trousers I bought in a size up are getting snug, and most of my pre-pg clothes don't fit now. Am putting off clearing my wardrobe out and boxing them all up. I don't know how obvious it is to others though, probably not as much as I imagine! Another week or two and I might shift to my new maternity clothes (am kind of excited about being able to wear them!)

jbells · 17/01/2011 18:59

oh and mrs s i agree with why wait some people have symptons write away i had a few like my boobs went massive and really painful first time round but didnt this time so it even varies from pg to pg

jbells · 17/01/2011 18:58

nannyl- i knw a lot of people who hate being pg i must say i am enjoying it more this time than last time maybe because it will probably be the last time im pg, i was lucky that i never got morning sickness had a good few weeks of nausea but never actually was sick, hopefully it wont last long

Whywait- DP has just took DD up for a bath he didnt get in from work till half 6 and im shattered, DD seems to have secretly drank 10 litres of lucozade or something today dont know where she gets all her energy, how am i goingto cope with another one lol

as for names me and DP have lots that either one of us like but none that we both like going for 3D scan in 3 weeks to confirm whether its a boy and then we will have 5o knuckle down and start thinking of names and buying stuff, by this stage with DD i had god knows how many lists of things i needed, i was working full time with lots of time sat at a desk bored to write them in tho :)

so if anyone has any name suggestions feel free to let me know

hope everyone else is doing well JS will be coming online in the morning to check how your getting on, its ashame were all not local to each other that we cud have meet ups one babys r born etc
