oh bebe Sad

Im pretty sure you need a luteal phase of at least 10 days to allow an egg to implant...

Though im sure lots of mumsnet people on various threads have been to see their GP about their short luteal phase and GP has told them it doesnt matter Confused

but TCOYF book seems to disagree... Hmm

I have a 28 day cycle and ovulate on day 15

bebejones · 21/11/2010 10:54

Just been checking FF and it would seem that I am OV on about day 19! Now on a cycle of 28/29+ days that's not so bad...but on ones of 23/24 days that's not long enough post OV is it?! Confused I'm sure one of you clever ladies will know! :)

Nannyl - hehe So lucky train & lucky class then....Odds are in your favour Wink

I took my first mum to be tablet last night!!! Eeeeek! It's not actually much of a change coz I've been taking multivitamins & extra folic acid anyway. So essentially I'm taking one tablet instead of 2! (- the vitamin A)

I have to start painting DDs xmas present today. A big wooden dolls' house! Bit nervous! Don't want to cock it up!! Hmm

100 - Hope you are having a good time a way, glad the first part of your talk went well! :)

Have a good Sunday everyone! :)

Evening all

100 years your wait is very exciting Smile

Not a great weekend here, ok not been that bad except i had to work at school today... on a SATURDAY Sad for open day.
On the + side my new oven has arrived and BIL (electrician) has installed it, so can cook Xmas cake tomorrow Smile

Did an OPK at 2pm and it was -ve (was shocked as its always +ve on a Saturday and sometimes on a Friday too)... anyway did another at 8pm and that was +ve soo am relieved about that!
OH started his daddy to be vitamins last night so thats very exciting.

72 hours until we throw away the condoms Grin

Oh and (i must add this)... my head of kindergarten was talking to some prospectove parents today... explaining how i was maternity cover for anotehr teacher and anotehr teacher was also on ML, and due back in September... anyway, she (accidently) went on the say that "In September I would be in maternity leave Shock but i had to Grin... she hadnt meant to say it, and corrected herself to "well we dont know that but you never know, she might be!!!"
(I have not told anyone other than my mum and closest friends about our baby plans (oh and mumsnet!)

Also everyone who works in my class in kindergarten gets PG, and last night (on our mummies and teachers social meal) me and OH had to keep our mouths shut when one of the mums warned my OH "to be careful as everyone who teaches in my class leaves pregnant!"

100years · 20/11/2010 13:13

Yay (in a sarcastic voice) more symptoms spotting!!! Weird aches like really really mild period pains, headache and icky feeling. I am officially driving myself crazy.

I've just briefly spoken about one of the things that's been bothering me recently, the reaction I got was different to how I thought - in a good way and I'm now slightly more confused. But hey ho, it's not a small decision and it's one that needs proper and full attention, and if so it may mean a change in where we are at at the moment. Confused

Right going away for the night now :) Catch up tomorrow or monday.

Hugs to all.

bebejones · 20/11/2010 12:25

It'll be lovely when ur big (but not very big) will give you a lovely weighless feeling. Always much needed when pregnant! Wink :o

DD always eats the bread that we take for the ducks Hmm Thankfully she has never tried to jump in! Don't you just love the toddler tantrums?! Hmm

bebe- i didnt have a costume that fit either i normally where a bikini but ive put on 2 much weight to fit in it, had to borrow one of a friend that was too big so i looked a bit stupid but never mind lol, decided to let the xwords go with DP last nite and ordered a yummy chinese anyway

took DD the park this morning to feed the ducks and afta swimming yesterday she decided she wanted to swim in the pond and when we wudnt let her had a nice tantrum Hmm going to take her swimming nxt weds and make it a weekly occurence if i can or atleast up untill im too big to move lol

hope everyone has a nice wkend

bebejones · 20/11/2010 08:43

JBells - glad your DD enjoyed swimming. My DD loves it but I have been a bad mummy & not taken her in months! (Mainly because I don't have a cossie that fits anymore & the last time we went the lifeguard got an eyeful when I got out Blush)
Sorry you had words with your DP, my DH was in a foul mood yesterday, I have no idea why. Hope you have sorted things now? They just expect you to know don't they, but how can you if they never talk about it!? Plus he was horrid & snappy with DD because of it & that always makes me cross because it's not her fault! Grrrr!

100 - Hopefully some time away will help you clear your head a bit, even if you are busy. Change is as good as a rest so they say!

DD had a great time at ILs & screamed & cried when we left and was a grump all evening coz she was tired! But at least she went straight to bed at 7.30 & is still asleep now! I always complain that I'd like some time to myself but I hated it & found it very odd being in the house on my own yesterday. Really didn't know what to do with myself! Confused God knows what I'll do when she starts preschool!

jbells · 19/11/2010 19:30

evening all,

took DD swimming for first time today she really enjoyed it wish i had plucked up the courage to take her sooner.

i think im in for an unpleasant nite DP seems to have come in from work with a right shit on and weve already had xwords there goes my idea of a good film and a chinese takeaway

AC- glad your interview went well, fingers crossed for u :)

100years- hope u manage to sort things out, hopefully a few days away will give u time to clear your head, i find it always helps to step away from your everyday life

wyorklass- i think it is impossible not to sympton spot when u know there is even the slightest chance, but u never know the symptons cud be real :)

bebe- how did the injection go i hope it wasnt too painful, did your DD come back all tired out?

AmandaCooper · 19/11/2010 15:38

Lol at the work two week wait!

100years · 19/11/2010 14:46

I don't think there is enough paper to cover my mind issues at the moment!!! LOL. I have done that in the past, and yes it really does help to get those things out. Just got to focus on getting through work tonight and then I have a few days off where I can chill (even if we are away and busy) and sort some thoughts out.

WYorksLass · 19/11/2010 14:29

100, i can imagine how you are feeling. I'm symptom spotting now and there's pretty much no chance i am pg at the moment. Although i nearly convinced myself when i felt queasy earlier! Oh yes and i'm sure i'm weeing more than usual and i haven't had usual PMT moodiness or as tender boobs as usual and my tummy has been crampy all week and...
Grin
My fingers are crossed for you too.

If something is on your mind you could try writing it down? I find that helps me get things straight in my head.

100years · 19/11/2010 13:57

Good luck AC with your work 2WW.

Well I'm going crazy, the symptom spotting has started, I'm going to be unbearable for the next 10 days!!!! LOL But I have stopped taking my temp. For a few reasons, but I think mainly it was making me a bit neurotic over things, and it's not going to help me get pregnant really, I mean knowing my temp doesn't help the swimmers reaching the egg, it just gives an idea of when ov has occurred, and I sleep so irregularly with shifts I think it's not all that accurate.

Feeling a bit up in the air about a few things, stuff is getting on top of me a bit and I'm not sure how to stop it, feel like I need to talk to someone, but I'm pretty sure it will all come out in a real muddle.

bebe, if you can buy babies in Tesco I think I may head there in a few months if the SWI doesn't work!!! LOL, that's great. Sorry you are worrying about your hip jab, can't imagine it will be very nice.

bebejones · 19/11/2010 13:03

Ooooh AC - Good Luck, you have your very own 2ww! I will cross everything for you!

Feeling a bit sorry for myself today & already dreading having an injection into my hip! :(

Got my flu jab this afternoon so DD is got to ILs to play with her cousin. Hopefully she will be worn out later! Hmm

WYorksLass · 19/11/2010 12:40

Oooh, good luck with the job AC, interview sounds promising. Fingers are crossed.

Yorkshire rocks :)

AmandaCooper · 19/11/2010 11:00

Envy at everyone throwing the condoms away.

Just had my telephone interview though, which seemed to go quite well (come on lucky train!) so you never know. If I do get this job I'll have to put ttc on the backburner for a while as there'll be so much to do and think about at work. But I really want it! Two weeks till I find out. Keep your fingers crossed for me, everyone!

AmandaCooper · 19/11/2010 10:57

We three are all Yorkshire lasses then!

WYorksLass · 19/11/2010 09:55

Hehe at your DD bebe, kids are hilarious. DSD is 8 and still comes out with some funny stuff. She is also convinced she knows everything, even when we tell her she is wrong about something. An 8 year old knows better than 2 adults apparently! Hopefully she will grow out of it soon but according to OH her mum hasn't managed that yet Grin

jbells - any child makes me broody if they are behaving themselves, i do get a bit put off by badly behaved kids though. Although i do have a giggle at toddlers throwing tantrums, am sure i won't when it's mine though.

nanny yep, i am from and live in West Yorkshire, how did you guess? Grin

bebejones · 19/11/2010 08:34

Happy Friday!! :)

Just wanted to say, have added another con to my list...DH can't drive!
Not the end of the world, but it's very annoying!

JS - also meant to say & Brizzle (or Bath) meet up would be lovely when you are settled! :)

OP posts:
bebejones · 18/11/2010 19:54

Well turns out I have essentially got tennis elbow of the hip (can't remember the proper medical name) Have to go back to doctors on 9th December & might have to have a steroid injection into my hip joint! :( Not fun!

Forgot to mention earlier DDs priceless statement of the day!

DD: Mummy, let's go get a baby!
Me: Where from?
DD: Tesco!

:o

Nannyl - I feel for you, makes me soooooo mad when DH isn't home for dinner! Grrrr! Angry

JBells - 4lbs isn't too bad. 2stone overall is the average & 4lbs is less than 1/4 of that! How exciting for the scan next week!

The mum hardly did anything, was so mad, makes me feel so uncomfortable when people let their kids get away with that. She looked younger than DD, but a proper bully in the making. Walked straight up to her with the building block & smacked her straight on the head, DD actually has a bump! :( Then later she sat next to her & hit her round the head with her hand a few times. DD pushed her arm away & said 'No, don't hit'. Not alot I could do, they were in a little play area & I couldn't get in easily & DD was just so perplexed & nervous she didn't want to walk accross it to get to me! The mother stepped in in the end but was a bit horrid for poor DD & my friend's DD.

JS - How nice to have a cuddle. :) Hope Jake has my Daquari lined up, I am in serious need this evening!

100 - no early testing Chat to us, we'll try and keep your mind off the 2ww! Wink

100years · 18/11/2010 15:09

Afternoon all.

How are we.

Lovely new thread, I'll be staying here whether I get a BFP or AF just because I like it here with you gals :)

Twiddling fingers, hormones going crazy, just wishing I didn't have to wait for 2 weeks to know a yay or nay. I'm sure the 2WW is not healthy!

Yay for WYorks :) It's great ditching them even though you know it's too close to AF.

Only 2 more horrible night shifts then the weekend off :)
