Make yourselves at home everyone. Jake & George are just loading everyone's 'baggage'! Wink

They text to say they were running late. Then an hour later still hadn't shown up & were just letting the phone ring through to voicemail & then were cutting it off after 1 or 2 rings!

Just so angry! Angry Can't believe how rude it is! If they didn't want it, fine! But FFS 30secs to ring & say 'we have changed our mind' isn't too much to ask is it?

Ranting now, sorry guys!

Things were looking so good, & DH & I were planning a celebratory Chinese when DD went to bed & I was going to 'talk' to him. Was much needed quality time together. But now he has come home & barely said 2 words to me & is sat upstairs in silence! The chinese is off, coz now we are back to watching the pennies! Hmm :(

oh bebe, poor you!! That's just rude (unless they had some kind of emergency.. just made me wonder, if they've been hassling her all week about it). Would it be unethical to ring with a witheld number just to find out what's going on?!

On the plus side, it's Friday, so maybe a large bar of chocolate and a relaxing bath would help? (I tried this last night but our hot water keeps cutting out, and filling up buckets to empty into the bath took too long and resulted in tepid water... eurgh...) I'm sure you'll get someone soon - lots of people aren't rude, inconsiderate pigs :)

bebejones · 26/11/2010 16:19

What the f#@? is wrong with people?!?! New tenants didn't turn up at the flat, and are now cutting DHs PA off (she is managing it for us)! They have been harrassing her all week about moving in & she took 3 hours out of the office this afternoon to go & meet them! We have previously had 4 lots of people arrange viewings then just not turn up! Seriously, why can't they just be polite & cancel if they aren't interested?! Angry
So once again we are tenantless, knew it was too good to be true. Think we must have wronged the Universe in some way, we have had the worst luck over the last 2 years!! :( Just want to cry!

100 - that doesn't sound too good, hope you are being looked after & taking some time off x

bebejones · 26/11/2010 11:29

JBells - if you're having dreams like that now, what will they be like when the really crazy PG dreams kick in! Shock

100 - Hope you feel better soon. :(

100years · 26/11/2010 09:39

Good morning all.

Rough as F* this morning. Headache still there, still icky sicky and got to go to work. :( Boo hiss.

I think I said welcome to Astro, but not to MrsSatsuma, very sorry, if I missed you, welcome. :)

Have a good day folks.

Yep Bebe, kind of have monday in my head for testing! Even though it's only about the time I am due on. I am resisting until then

bebejones · 26/11/2010 08:49

I had awful awful nightmares all night last night! :( Hate that, don't feel rested at all!

Still no sign of snow here, possibly some next week Hmm

Strawberry - I don't mind the rugby, it's different when you are there rather than watching it on the TV! DH takes it way too seriously though! It's just a game FFS!

100 - Stop with the symptom spotting!!! Wink Easy for me to say, I know it's hard! Just have the weekend to get through now don't you, before POAS?!

Happy Friday everyone! Mimosas & breakfast being served in the restaurant car! :o Just tucking in to a virtual full english (which beats my RL half a banana!!)

nannyl I would really like that book too, it looks lovely, I reckon that will be an immediate purchase when (positive thinking) I get a BFP.

Hey everyone else, been busy busy in here.

Not really caught up, OH is listening to something and it's causing a lack of concentration in me.

Hope you are all OK.

I'm still feeling a bit off, infact I felt very off today, bad head before I went to sleep last night which I woke with this morning, terrible feeling sick so took an anti nausea tablet. Feeling bloated and horrible now and was ravenous when I got home. It's all just symptoms I've probably had before at various times, but because of where I am in my cycle I'm obviously counting them!!! I must stop this!!!

strawberrypie · 25/11/2010 22:33

Bebe- How about a family trip to watch a rugby match over xmas? I find car journeys are a good time for conversations...non-confrontational but you are both trapped there with nothing to do apart from talk (although this plan involves you and DD having to sit through a match Hmm hmmm, sorry if you are a fan!)

bebejones · 25/11/2010 22:16

Nannyl - that book look so lovely! What a lovely momento. :)

Satsuma - DH has had some really awful panic attacks. On in particular when I was 8 months pregnant with DD I had to go & get him from work & rush him to the GP. He genuinely thought he was having a heart attack & that he was going to die. Was really scary. He had some counselling & sessions with our lovely GP who taught him to recognise the signs of when one was building & stratagies to help him cope. I really hope they can help you too. It is so hard, and people aren't always very understanding.

Strawberry - DH will have some time off from just before Xmas until just after New Year in as much as he won't be going in to the office! He will no doubt have work to do! :( He very rarely wants to do anything when he has time off as he is so knackered. Makes 'family time' a bit dull when he just wants to sit & watch the rugby!!

here's hoping...thanks x

strawberrypie · 25/11/2010 21:10

Hi Astro! I think bebe is right- sometimes things need to be spelled out for the OHs and a proper discussion is a good idea so he knows how you feel. Also I can get frustrated when my OH does not respond immediately but he sometimes just needs to have a think and will come back with some real insights at a later time. So maybe a chat after xmas will give him some time to get his thoughts organised :)

Really good idea about talking to his dad friend too, he seems to be taking everything seriously!

AstroZola · 25/11/2010 21:10

that was supposed to be a sad face! Sad

AstroZola · 25/11/2010 21:08

oh MrsSatsuma - i read your thread too...so sorry to hear you're having such a hard time...i do hope you feel better soon...i know it can be difficult to cope with...not that i've suffered with it...but my Mum has...i remember seeing her suffer a panic attack in the bedroom when i was younger...it looked very frightening...i had to get her a paper bag to breath into...have you tried this technique by the way? (i'm sure you have)...glad you got some air today....

on that note...i hate the snow...i really don't want it to come to Wales...it's so horrible, dangerous, awkward and very cold :o(

strawberrypie · 25/11/2010 20:54

That book looks lovely Nannyl!

Will your OH get any time off over xmas bebe? Does he do anything that helps him relax? Squash or going for a walk or watching films?

Hope you feel better soon satsuma, my OH has just done his PGCE and is doing supply work at the moment- he is finding it really stressful. I can't think of another job where you get constant abuse and you just have to put up with it!

AstroZola · 25/11/2010 20:44

strawberrypie - hi - nice to have a vet on...i agree...it's nice to have somebody in our line of work to talk to also...we've been together over 6 years, we flippantly mentioned kids in the past but i never wanted them so it is a shock for him to now consider having one...i only mentioned it to him at the end of October...when i first mentioned it he said 'oh god'...but listened well to what i had to say and agreed to think about it...

squirrel007 & WhyWait- i have spoken briefly to him and said we'll have another chat about it after xmas...he's fine with chatting again then...i've also convinced him to talk to our friend Mike...he's my best friends husband and she mentioned it might be good for DP to chat to someone about being a dad too...so thanks for all the advice so far...this is a lovely forum! Smile

bebe - i never thought of that...thank you and your most recent post made me laugh - the one about SWI!! ha ha x

nannyl - that's sounds amazing...i want one now...

nannyl · 25/11/2010 20:18

oooh im even more excited now

when doing my amazon Xmas shopping i decided to by myself a present and added my pregnancy journal to my list

OH gave me the post just now and it has arrived and is just gorgous Smile

But i dont want to tempt fate so wont be writing anything in it until im lucky enough to be pregnant!!!!

AmandaCooper · 25/11/2010 19:10

Oh my life HOW much catching up I have to do!

Back later. Welcome Astro and MrsSatsuma!

bebejones · 25/11/2010 18:39

Oh Satsuma - I read your other thread! :( I know what it can be like.
I would also like the snow to come southwards! Mainly because I'm a big kid!! :o

Nannyl - Casserole sounds amazing! I did sausages in apple & onion gravy for DH & DD...I had Soup! (Did have a piece of chocolate torte after though! But only a small piece! Hmm)

Everytime I think things are picking up & DH is being more positive & coming home with good news, he turns round 1/2 hour later with a bombshell of bad news! Hmm I'm sure he doesn't want to actually let himself be happy and stress free! :(

On a good(ish) note, nephew seems to be fighting whatever it is making him poorly. Still not out of the woods yet.

Been checking AF dates & I think (if we TTC) I'll miss the Sept bus & will probably be on the Oct bus! I am keeping everything crossed. SWI would be around DHs birthday :o So I stand a good chance of persauding him! Wink

Have changed my name as it's easier to type! nannyl I'm jealous - I spend most of my time trying to kick the kids out of our school buildings! Teenagers must be related to vampires - they seem to have an aversion to light... and coats... yep, even in this weather...

Am feeling better as have been out of the house (only to corner shop but still better than nothing!) and made muffins for DH to say thank you for putting up with me (I won't bore you with details but see thread in mental health section... mm I wish they'd changed the name of that to something with a bit less of a stigma!!)

squirrel Hope the sickness gets better soon and that you enjoy being spoiled!

Can someone send the snow down here please? That way wyorks and nannyl will warm up and DH will get time off work when schools close! See, everyone's happy! :o

nannyl · 25/11/2010 17:20

evening all
wyorks i really hope everyone and everything can make it safely to your wedding

Im currently on day -9! (ie 9 infertile days left this cycle and starting to TTC in next cycle)

Ooh its been cold in Yorkshire today... not sure if it ever made it above freezing (i doubt it did TBH) and we did have snow mid morning, so the children were very excited.

I drew the short straw and was the teacher supervising outdoor play today (we HAVE to offer it in all weathers except for very strong winds!) so i froze, even with ski jacket, hat scarf and gloves. It amazes me how the children just dont care though, and happily play regardless!

I have come home to what smells like a really delicous pork and apple casserole cooking in my oven (hooray now i have an oven WITH a timer) and am waiting for OH to get in from his driving lesson so we can eat it.

Back later!

bebejones · 25/11/2010 15:09

Taylor - don't be silly, didn't think you were patronising at all! It's really helpful getting opinions of people who have been through it recently! I find all the golden handshake/funding stuff very confusing! My 'area' (ie what my BA is in) is Textiles, although I think I'd maybe have Art specialism too. My Uncle suggested doing DT, but I'm not sure if I could...power tools scare me!! :o I just think personality wise I'd be far better at a Primary level. Such a lot to consider though!
Hope you are feeling better soon :)

WYorks - hope you have something warm to put on over your dress!!

Squirrel - hope you have a good time with ILs
