Astro - I did see that on the news, it's a massive breakthrough & I really hope they can develop something off the back of it. Is a little glimmer of hope at least! :)
Glad you are feeling better after the concussion, it's not fun!

JBells - Have you had your BP checked? It might be that making you feel faint. Hope you feel better soon, thank God you were with your mum!

Been wrapping Xmas presents all evening & my hip is now agony after sitting on the floor :( Got doctors appt 2moro afternoon. Hoping it gets 'fixed' but at the same time really don't want the steroid injection into the joint! :(

AstroZola · 08/12/2010 20:41

Amanda - i'm not TTC either...i've got wait until next September all being well...so i can sympathise...

100 - i'm glad you've got a sick note and i agree with bebe - you really must rest before going back to work...they can't do much about it and neither can you...if you go back to work ill and continue to be stressed and unwell it'll take you much, much longer to fully recover therefore being actually less efficient for them...take it easy!!

wyorks - i'm really hoping for a BFP for you...it'll be my first on here and i'm very excited for you...eek!!

bebe - i hope you're feeling better too and you're not uncomfortable...did you see the news the other day about a possible treatment for MS?

hope everybody else is ok...i'm fully recovered from concussion and still sneaking in baby comments and small conversations with DP...he he...still...don't have a 'yes' yet but i'm sure it will come soon enough...i'm more hopeful for it nowadays...Smile...

well...i've got lots of homework to do for college and work, have a meeting with my dog to do so somebody can look after him over xmas and an outfit to buy for the xmas party at work so i may be gone for a few days...everybody take care and have a fab weekend...xxx

jbells · 08/12/2010 19:46

I so need a drink, an actual one! Been soooooooooooo busy today!

WYorks - You will regret longing to feel sick!! :o Wink

100 - sorry you are still feeling so poorly :(

AmandaCooper · 08/12/2010 19:19

100years you do sound poorly. Hope you're over the worst of it soon and on the mend x

AmandaCooper · 08/12/2010 19:16

WYorks you are funny, longing to feel sick! I will remind you of this longing when you are racked with morning sickness!

everybody's ttc and leaving me behind. This is just what I dreaded. George and Jake you better pour me a stiff martini, and be generous!

WYorksLass · 08/12/2010 12:37

Sorry, loads of typos in last post, i'm tired!

Well, i'm now on CD16 and i know it's far too early for symptoms but i have the following which is driving me a little mad!

Very tired = Jet Lag
A crampy tummy with odd pains = ovulation cramps? I usually get them but not for so long
Heartburn = too much crap food on honeymoon

The weirdest thing is i have a longing to feel sick, i know, bonkers!

WYorksLass · 08/12/2010 12:30

sending big hugs to you 100years (((((((())))))))
Just concentrate on getting better for your Birthday and lots of SWI. Don't worry about work, they'll have to cope.

MrsS, i used to have panic attacks as a teenager and ended up seeing a shrink at the age of 15. The best thing he told me was you have to find a way to break the cycle so you need to keep something on you that you can concentrate on to try to take your mind off it. I used to have a pocketful of paper clips and try and make werid shapes/animals out of them. It's really hard to keep your mind from the panic at first but does help.
15 years on i am much better although still prone to anxiety on occasion. I can really recommend meditation, i went to buddhist meditaion classes for a while and it was brilliant. You don't need to be buddhist or any other religion, i found it really helped.

100years · 08/12/2010 11:46

How can you go from being A'OK one minute to feeling like shite the next??? The antibiotics haven't worked, because what I have is viral, and therefore they won't work. It hasn't gone, so I've got a sick note for a week. I can't book fit from work until it's gone, just because I can't risk being ill again so soon. Hey ho. Maybe I'll relax about it now and feel much better tomorrow!

100years · 08/12/2010 09:50

Morning all.

How is everyone?

I am still full of snot/congestion, and not sure the chest is clear, am seeing the Doc at 11am to check before I book fit from work. Like I said I don't feel as poorly as I did, but I don't feel right and the last thing I want is anything that's still there to come back with a vengeance and mean I'm ill next week, work would not take kindly to that, and that's kind of stressing me out.

In other news I'm older come this friday Xmas Shock Xmas Grin and we now have the christmas tree up. Xmas Grin

Next week sees the start of the SWI window, so keep your fingers crossed. I'm only one proper month in and yet I feel like it may never happen, rolls eyes imagine what I will be like in 6 or 9 months time if I am not pg by then!

nanny, I have lots of runner friends, a lot of them have children, so much as I know what you are saying and I could add it to my list of things to worry about, I'm not going to - for now. Although OH is starting his mara training, I'm more worried about knackering him out than anything. Aw well it's good cross training! LOL

MrsSatsuma, I hope you get something that helps with your panic attacks, I sometimes get like that, but it has been a while, I can usually stop it when I realise it's coming, but while you are having one it makes the panic feeling worse and is a bit of a cycle :(

As for the rest of you lot, keep plodding on.

MrsSatsuma · 07/12/2010 21:22

Is cold here too - house not too bad but my feet are freezing!! I have to confess that my reading of late (which I usually do when DH watches sport) has consisted of pregnancy books. I can't help it, I seem to be a woman obsessed!

Have tried acupuncture for the panic but not for the back - only problem is it costs a fortune so have had to stop for the moment as it was really adding up (same with physio...). GP has suggested CBT for anxiety so am waiting to hear from them. I can't say the job does much to help it all!!

Done more work... I plan to stop at 9.30 regardless!!!

bebeinamanger · 07/12/2010 21:17

Welcome back MrsS! Might accupuncture be of any help? Or some kind of massage therapy? Sorry you had another attack on Saturday :( Are they getting easier to spot when they are coming? The only person who can calm my DH down is his dad, which is funny coz he's very straight talking/no nonsense sort of person. Pretty much gives DH a verbal slap round the face!! Hmm Has your GP suggested anything to help? At least it is nearly the end of term & you can have a bit of a break & try & collect your thoughts a bit & refresh.

Having a very dull evening while DH watches the football. It's too cold everywhere else but the living room so I don't fancy doing anything except sitting!! Hmm

MrsSatsuma · 07/12/2010 21:10

PS congratulations WYorks!! :)

MrsSatsuma · 07/12/2010 21:09

Hello! Not been on for a bit... Back at school (panic attack on Saturday :( but happily not at school which would have been worse. Although it did ruin Harry Potter for me...) and into end-of-term madness. School show this week so sleep has gone out the window. Plus Ofsted for DH - a lovely combination! Am determined SWI will still go ahead as planned!! Back is killing me though... have tried chiropractice, much physio, apparently not a good candidate for Alexander Technique - if anybody has any other suggestions I would be very grateful!

Argh, more work to do now. Gaaaah.

(sorry, am in ranty fed-up mood today!)

bebeinamanger · 07/12/2010 18:36

Re the running, maybe it's a friction generating heat thing in the...erm...lower regions! Hmm

Glad AF arrived for you, all exciting now! We will all be waiting with breath that is bated for your BFP! Wink

nannyl · 07/12/2010 17:04

Evening all

hoorary Tuesday is over (Tueasday is the day of the week that i dread)
Well AF has finally arrived Smile so can now start couting days and working cycle out etc

100 years, im sure ive read somewhere that long distance running is not great for sperm, but cant remember exactly where, but have definitley read it. So pleased to here you are finally starting to feel better Smile

WYorks, good luck with your 2ww, im dreading mine although at least ill have all the Xmas stuff to take my mind off it a bit.

AmandaCooper · 07/12/2010 13:14

I hope you get one, we must be due another!

WYorksLass · 07/12/2010 12:31

jbells, i hope your test results come back ok.

100 years, i'm glad you're feeling better. Maybe you should go to the doc and see what they say about being fit for work or not. It's not worth pushing it and making yourself ill again.

AC, AF is due around 20/21st December so i'll try not to test before then. A BFP would be the best christmas pressie ever :)

100years · 07/12/2010 10:40

Welcome back WYorksLass, should we be calling you WYorksMrs now??? Congrats :) hope your 2WW is OK.

nanny, my OH runs a lot too, in training for a couple of marathons, does this mean his swimmers aren't as good after a run? Is this another thing for me to worry about?

jbells, hope the protein and blood comes to nothing, wow 16 weeks :)

That's great Astro, have in the past had a lost strings incidents, didn't help that I was stressing about it, but yes you should be checked every year by the doc.

Well I'm starting to feel more human, although I'm full of snot in my nose, not to blos, just feel really congested in my nasal passages. The chest is feeling a lot better and have had a full nights sleep with no disturbance from a cough which is good. I either have to book fit for work tomorrow or go to the docs and get a sick note. I don't think I'm quite poorly enough for a sick note, but I don't feel quite well enough to work! Must admit to being worried that I'm not fully better and as soon as I go back to work I'll be poorly again, and I really don't need that on my sick record. I suppose you can't live like that though and just got to take that risk.

Bloody freezing here, loads of ice around, glad I don't have to go out today :)

bebeinamanger · 06/12/2010 21:37

WYorks - So glad the snow didn't ruin things & that you had a brilliant day! :) Exciting to be on your 2ww!

Strawberry - I was too busy trying not to throttle her!! Wink Little bugger keeps asking to go see him again! Hmm

Astro - Yay, clever doctor! Wink

JBells - Aren't toddlers great?! Hmm Such a nightmare. I've taken to always strapping DD into her pushchair if I have to take her with me to the doctors! Hope the protein & blood turns out to be nothing :)

Nannyl - Worrying yourself isn't going to help. Stress can be a factor on delaying AF. Maybe all the preparation has thrown things 'off'. I'm sure it does mess with my cycles a bit. Things have been so all over the place lately & I'm certain stress is a factor. But then again maybe you are PG & it's the lucky train at work again! Wink

Still nothing new to report here! Still bloody cold, and still plodding on taking my vitamins! Hmm

AmandaCooper · 06/12/2010 21:26

Oh right, I did think it was a bit odd! Stop worrying though, silly, you definitely won't be!

nannyl · 06/12/2010 20:48

AC.. i didnt re take my temp, that was the temp my thermometer said the last temp was, ie at 7am

(when i turn it on it tells me the last temo until i take it again, so i can check all day if i want!)

as for pg testing i'll give it another couple of days i think as realistically i dont see how i can be pg!

AmandaCooper · 06/12/2010 20:48

WYorks glad you had a great time and it all went to plan. How exciting that you're married and trying for a baby!!! When would you be testing?

AmandaCooper · 06/12/2010 20:44

Nannyl that sounds absolutely just as you'd expect by 9am after additional sleep. My temp always goes up by about a degree between normal testing time and an hour or so more sleep later. Even if it's still high, you haven't had 18 high temps in a row yet - and you were super careful.

Astro well done your dr! Hang in there with the waiting. It'll pass before you know it... So they say!

AstroZola · 06/12/2010 19:59

My Dr found my coiol strings...Yippee...and no infection...yippee!
Apparently the strings are VERY tiny...phew though!!!
She wants me to have it checked every year! I said that hopefully it'll be coming out next year! Grin...

WYorks - that sounds great! Glad you're SWI...wish i was...must be patient though...i hope it's the result you want...xxx
