Hello ladies.

I'm sick :( As in nausea and trying to be sick, a lot, finished work early. Been to sleep, woke up, immediately felt sick. I'm feeling this is going to be a long few weeks.

Right well, I feel bad for constantly talking about it in here since I found out. Will try not to, and will take my sickness tales elsewhere from now on.

Christmas then.

What did anyone get nice?

AmandaCooper · 28/12/2010 17:10

Oh well I don't blame you for that. There's nothing worse than provoking a row over it, it can be very upsetting as I know only too well. It certainly remains to be seen whether DH and I will actually do the deed this month! There's still plenty of time for cold feet. I'm tempted to put it off while DH cuts down the cigs but realistically that'll probably never happen.

bebeinamanger · 28/12/2010 14:20

I'm just being such a wimp, we are having a lovely time just being together I don't want to wreck it by bringing up something that could potentially trigger an argument! (Am going on previous form!!)

AmandaCooper · 28/12/2010 13:53

DHs don't get hints though as we all know. You'll have to be direct Bebe.

AmandaCooper · 28/12/2010 13:51

That's what a lot of people say - they say work back fourteen days from actual date of conception and tell your doctor that was CD1.

bebeinamanger · 28/12/2010 12:51

In my very limited experience (and from what friends have said) Docs/MWs tend to ignore what you say about OV! I told my MW I had fairly irregular cycles & she still worked out my EDD (initially) with the wheel based on a 'average' 28 day cycle! Hmm Subsequently when I had my dating scan my EDD was moved forward by 6 days!!

Waiting for AF to show up! Can't be long now! Have been dropping hints like mad about TTC, but so far DH has either ignored me or just not got that I am dropping hints! Hmm

AmandaCooper · 28/12/2010 12:19

Actually thinking about it, it is useful to be able to pinpoint ov so as to work out whether you are actually overdue or whether the docs just think you are.

bebeinamanger · 28/12/2010 08:49

Oooh Nannyl - lucky day 26! Wink

I did no charting/OPKing or anything with DD, it was a half hearted sort of lets see what happens thing, just really went for it mid cycle! Blush Hoping to convince DH to adopt this approach again, although seeing how we conceived DD first go he might not be convinced! Hmm

If I get pregnant in Jan I'll be 5months PG at a wedding next summer! Not quite as far gone as you guys! Wink Would be nice though, the friend getting married was my maid of honour & she was the only person (DH aside) that knew I was PG at my wedding! :)

100years · 28/12/2010 03:37

Ha, middle of the night, woken feeling really hungry and a tad sick! Just had to have some biscuits, will try and sleep again in a bit, but then I have to be up in 2.5hours to get ready for work!

nannyl I did none of the temping, OPKs or anything this month, I really didn't think it would happen for me this month, I think we just SWI a lot at the right time, although there was a gap where it was about 72 hours without any SWI. By not paying much attention to details other than saying when I had had sex I felt a lot more relaxed about it, even if I didn't believe it. It is really hard to do though. If sparkly bean stick I will be 8m pg when I have a wedding to go to too!! Although it's not quite as far a journey.

AmandaCooper · 28/12/2010 00:09

Nannyl I'm thinking exactly the same thing that having monitored my cycle the thing to do is monitor my erm secretions rather than my temps and take my cues from those. All your temps really tell you is when to stop.

nannyl · 27/12/2010 23:10

Hello all
Me and oh have made it down.south. bit of a nightmare on m25 so white s.long journey, but we made it and are having lovely times with my friends and family.
Bought some more pg tests today (those 1st response 6 days early ones that are on bogof in boots) though I just have this feeling I'm.not pg. Realised my cousins wedding down here will be 4 days after due date IF I'm pg , anf its 5 hours drive away, and I really REALLY want to go, so that will be better, though would I be insane 2 be doing a 5 hour drive (twice in 3 days) if I was 8m pg?
Also thinking about giving up charting and cbfm if I'm not pg. Will have studied my cycle for 5m and I already know.it. do.might just relax a bit more, monitor CM, and opk, next time round
To anyone who might be interested will be peeing on a stick on day 26, 1st Jan.
Hope everyone has had a wonderful Christmas time

MrsSatsuma · 27/12/2010 17:27

100years - fantastic news!! So happy for you, and what a brilliant time to find out. Am only ever so slightly jealous... Xmas Blush

Back from mum's - unfortunately she was ill so my and my brother cooked. Turkey had to be finished in microwave as wasn't done despite both of us being good cooks (honestly!), checking with a meat thermometer and juices running clear.... Never mind! The rest was all good at least.

Was very happy when I realised I miscounted my cycle - 30th Nov + 28 days is not 30th Dec... doh... but less happy when I got a BFN this morning :( Now in limbo waiting for AF, not entirely sure when due as this is first cycle after coming off pill. It'll probably appear tomorrow... will test again if no sign in 4 or 5 days! I'm a woman obsessed!!!

bebeinamanger · 27/12/2010 15:04

It doesn't help that I have had chest pains for the last 3 nights, now he is all worried that I'm about to cark it!! (I think it's down to over indulgence & festive wind! Xmas Blush)

100 - That is really funny bout the wind! It only gets worse I'm sorry to say!

I really hope I can talk DH into it next month! I think the longest I can 'wait' now is until April/May, then I am just going to give up all hope & throw in the towel!

AmandaCooper · 27/12/2010 12:55

100years that's hilarious about your internal wind! Oh the joys of pg, eh?! Although with all the Xmas dinners I have been pretty windy myself - and there's definitely no little bean in there to blame it on, sparkly or otherwise!

Bebe I am going to keep everything crossed you can join us next month. Your DH must know what this means to you.

AmandaCooper · 27/12/2010 12:33

Erm I should perhaps explain for the benefit of anyone new to the thread that the "of course it's a safe time" approach has been specifically requested by DH, who is petrified of the whole business.

I was a bit wary of taking the "blame" for the decision - but a wise woman pointed out that when LO was screaming his lungs out at 3am for the tenth night in a row, having children would be all my idea however we had approached the decision!

100years · 27/12/2010 08:53

Did 2 more tests this morning. One was a Tesco one and the other one was the second First Response one. That's 3 positive tests now.

OMG my wind last night was awful, Xmas Shock but some of it didn't actually come out, my stomach just made loads of loud wind noises while we were sat quietly playing cards! Ooops, it looked like I had farted but I had to explain it was inside me. My Grandad at one point said "are you sure you want kids" because my nieces were playing up a little at bed time, I so wanted to say, well funny you should say that... but I didn't. I shan't be saying anything for a few weeks to them.

AC I wouldn't be jealous, I obviously had loads of people to hug yesterday and had cuddles from both of my nieces, I can tell you I hope people couldn't read my face.

bebe, fingers still crossed for you.

I got a turbo trainer for the bike, so I can cycle indoors :) Much much safer in this weather, and if sparkly bean sticks then I might not want to cycle much outside either! But I need to do the exercise.

bebeinamanger · 26/12/2010 23:22

I think I might try the 'can we just not use protection & see what happens' line of attack! Try & persaude him to let fate decide!! Xmas Hmm

AmandaCooper · 26/12/2010 20:42

I know these are tiny as well! Any tips for getting him to take them? Maybe I can roll one up in a bit of meat, or stick it inside a jam sandwich or something.

I don't blame you for the [wimp] emoticon, I'm sick to death of DH dashing my hopes. The plan for this month is to say "of course it's a safe time" when it's blatantly not.

bebeinamanger · 26/12/2010 16:52

AC - I've been getting DH to take zinc for months (to help his immune system!! Wink) and he complains every night that they are hard to swallow! Hmm They are tiny compared to some of the ones I take!!
We both know the issue of TTC is there but we are both skirting round the issue at the moment! Hmm TBH, we have had a lovely quiet xmas & I don't want to upset things by bringing it up & possibly arguing about it again! :( [wimp emoticon]

100 - I never got sore boobs once when PG, very odd! Xmas Confused Most people I know say it was the first symptom they got!

Having a lovely chilled Boxing day even if MIL did come & bring 8....yes, 8...soft toys for DD!

AmandaCooper · 26/12/2010 10:39

Now I am also jealous of your massive boobs ha ha! We are all really pleased for you 100years. It is a good sign that I am envious because recently I have been doing some dithering but now I'm wishing it was me with a LO in my tum!

100years · 26/12/2010 10:24

Morning everyone. :)

How are we all?

Apparently my boobs are massive, OH kept saying it over and over last night! LOL They are big anyway but none the less they apparently are bigger! There will be no shimmying in this household for a while, movement hurts them. Thinking of sleeping in a bra!

Anyway enough about me. I hope you all have a good boxing day. Off to my family's house today :)

Bebe I hope the Christmas period has a softening effect on your DH.

AC good luck if you do decide to go for it this month.

Nannyl this is the test I used. I'm prob going to do another one in a few days, unless I actually start upchucking. Feel sick but not like I could be sick yet.

Please keep keeping those fingers crossed it's sticky.:)

And I totally understand the feeling of jealousy or envy, it's understandable, we are all in here for the same reason and I know what that I wish it was me feeling is like, doesn't mean you are any less happy, just that you want it yourself too. x

AmandaCooper · 26/12/2010 09:42

Things not looking positive with DH? I actually got DH to take a zinc supplement last night. He did make a real fuss though, pulling a face, complaining about the taste and moaning for ages afterwards that it had hurt his throat. Poor lamb!

What are your plans for today?

bebeinamanger · 26/12/2010 09:36

:) Yay, excited for you!

I think I may still be here when everyone else is waiting for their next baby too!

AmandaCooper · 25/12/2010 23:49

Well we'll have to see how we go but it certainly could be.

bebeinamanger · 25/12/2010 22:33

So what have you decided to do AC about TTC? Is this the beginning of your first cycle of TTC?

AF is due here Tuesday(ish)! Confused Still really hoping that a few late night, festive, heart to hearts might help convince DH! He was very gooey over DD smothering her littlest cousin with hugs & kisses earlier! :)
