I think it sounds like you're pg, nannyl, which would give the wonder bus an almost perfect record!

JBells and Bebe I am a bit jealous! I hate NYE and would love an excuse to crawl under the covers until it is over! I agree it is always a let down.

Still too early to ttc. Rats!

nannyl · 31/12/2010 09:18

Just re-read instructions:

words are "read as soon as possible after 3 mins"
"do not read after 10 mins"

So surely a +ve at 4 - 5 mins IS a +ve? Confused

nannyl · 31/12/2010 09:17

thanks jingle bells

IMO this test has detected some HGC after 4 / 5 mins (this would be normal for most other home pg tests i think) also in only on day 25, 10 days PO, and 5 days early (according to what first responce call early)

Personally i belive i am but its the earliest of days.
I want OH to pee on one (as he is not pg lol, and see if you get any form of line)... jhave done a few random pg tests in my time and NONE of the not pg tests have ever had any hint of a line either just after testing or even several hours after testing either!

Bebe so sorry to here DH is still stressed Sad
hope getting DD into a bed makes him realise its time to try for number 2. Smile
good luck

(will of course be testing again tomorrow and keeping you posted!)

AmandaCooper · 31/12/2010 09:13

Nannyl don't forget you are testing really early - it sounds promising but time will tell. I guess this shows how urgently we want to know. There was a woman on her first cycle of ttc on another thread who was not yet in the 2ww who was saying she couldn't understand why everyone tests early and she never would. I thought to myself it is a little early in the day to say that!

jinglebellssantasmells · 31/12/2010 09:08

if your hcg levels r low becasue its very early on it will take longer to appear

bebe- i am not looking forward to tonite either knowing everyone is out partying and having fun whilst i will prob b asleep by ten also lol, im 25 going on 65 lol

im getting lots of kicks and movements everday now and DP sed he felt them in bed the other nite when i was just lying nxt to him, downside is bump is getting bigger and starting to get uncomfortable sleeping, also had flu jab yest so have a very sore arm :(

jinglebellssantasmells · 31/12/2010 09:04

hello everyone, just been trying to catch up will post properly later

but just wanted to say nannyl dont give up hope the first couple of tests i did the 2nd line came up very late and i thought mite be an evap line, maybe try again with a first response that comes up either pg or not pg that way u cant be unsure if u know wot i mean

gudluck :)

bebeinamanger · 31/12/2010 09:01

TBH Nannyl I think I would test again 2moro, I know that must be driving you mad! But you need to read it at the stated time otherwise it's not so accurate! It's still very early days! Fingers still firmly crossed for you! (Of course you could try not peeing for 8 hours during the day & give it another go later Wink)

Bit of a momentous day here today, we are taking DDs cot down & putting her in a bed! :( Feel a bit upset about it! Hoping it might spark a conversation with DH about TTC, need to find a home for the cot! DH had a really crap day work wise yesterday, spent the whole journey to his sisters on the phone! :(

I hate New Years eve, always such a let down! Not going out, will probably be in bed by 10!

nannyl · 31/12/2010 08:52

Well Im so confused...
decided to use a 1st responce this morning...
my room is quite dark (as curtain were closed, and and rubbish energy light bulb was on)
anyway at 3 mins i looked and at first glance there was nothing...
showed OH and agreed nothing

kept looking as you do for a minute or so and decided i could see a second line of some sorts, so took it under the light.

Realised there was def a pink line.
OH came across and can also see a feint pink line.

We saw this at 5 mins (and it should be there by 3) but in the same light we still couldnt properly see it.

So how do i take that? Test again tomorrow i guess but at 4 - 5 mins after testing i have 2 pink lines. but it says you should see it at 3 mins and at 3 mins if im honest (in the dark) I didnt see it Confused... at 4 - 5 mins it WAS there!

AmandaCooper · 30/12/2010 21:13

10 mins is usually the point the test expires, nannyl but as Bebe says, try again in the morning. It's very early days. I really hope you get a +!

bebeinamanger · 30/12/2010 19:01

Nannyl - Test again 2moro with a FR one maybe?

nannyl · 30/12/2010 17:43

Just thought id update you all

OH nipped out and at 1715 (when i hadnt pee'd for just 3 hours) i couldnt resist and did an ebay test.

Im pretty sure it is -ve but not certain.... have been looking at it and 10mins later the feintist of feintist of feint lines can be seen if you hold it under the light. This could be an evapline maybe?
I havnt got any instructions so not sure at what point its reliable and when its an evap line... was def there a lot less than 20mins after testing though

its so feint i would describe it as a different shade of white as opposed to pale shade of pink.

OH can see it too (after i had directed him to exactly where i could see it) but even he says there is no way that can be read as a +, just as a maybe.

I agree.... it IMO is def not a B FP, but the feintist line,(thats off white) in the world is visble when you hold it under the light bulb

think i need to test again tomorrow morning

bebeinamanger · 30/12/2010 10:37

Exciting story on our local news, the new purpose built womens centre at our big hospital (where I had DD) opens next week! As this is where potential DC2 will be born it is good to know that they are improving services! (Although I hope next time I will get to deliver at the local MLU)

100 - I'm sure everything is fine! I didn't really believe I was PG until I saw the first scan, then it was all a bit too real!!

Nannyl - still got fingers crossed for you! :)

If I can persaude DH to SWI then I will have a due date of 6th October...perfect! However, I don't think my attempts at persauding him will be effective! Hmm I was given the details of a MS nurse who has written a thesis on MS in Pregnancy. When I told DH about it, he said, 'why did she give you her details?' Hmm Erm....so we can talk about the weather!!! Angry Have left the baby names book next to his computer! :o Will tell him in a bit about the new centre at the hospital! Hoping his SIL might drop some more hints again later!

100years · 30/12/2010 08:58

OMGoodness. I felt a lot better yesterday, today is another matter. I have done 5 tests so far, all positive, I still keep thinking I may do another one in a day or two. Kind of doesn't feel real. Was blubaholic yesterday!!!

I had a little crocheting lesson from my OH's mum the other day :) So I am pleased, I now know how to crochet a granny square, so if I keep going it will end up being a nice blanket. :) It's in some very bright coloured wool, so I may end up starting a new one, but got a nice one to practice with. And my turbo trainer is staring at me from it's box. Will be setting it up soon to get pedalling.

AC I had some GHDs given to me a few years ago, my hair is poker straight anyway, but I thought I may use them for curling my hair, I did that 3 times, since then they have been used twice to calm a bit of sticky out layered hair. I'm not sure they will still work!!! And I didn't think for one minute you meant I shouldn't talk about it. I just wanted to be able to talk about other things.

MrsS, necklace and earrings sound lovely :) And thanks for the cereal advice, it's one I love, but can't eat because of something in it. I am finding a slight aversion to thinking about any sugar coated cereal, so the honey waffles we have which I do love are not being touched by me.

nannyl, believe me, I have the symptoms and still don't' believe it all, and when I felt less sick yesterday I thought, oh, why am I not the same. Today I am feeling pukey again, do I believe it any more than yesterday, nope! Cheap bay tests are good, not that I have them, but you can POAS to your hearts content. Enjoy your family time.

bebe, thanks, I'm pretty sure you want to go through it again because it's worth it! So do you think you will be able to talk your DH into SWI this month now you have AF? I hope so for you.

nannyl · 30/12/2010 08:56

so sorry you are feeling poorly bebe

Hope you feel better soon.

No exciting news here.
My tummy still feels a tiny bit strange (could be my imagination), but i feel it in my bones im not pg.
My temps have been the same for the past 3 days.... above coverline but not getting higher and higher
in 48 hours i will have tested (though maybe a bit more as it will be after NYE so will have a late night and lie in!)

bebeinamanger · 30/12/2010 08:30

After 3 days of horrendous cramps, AF has finally showed up! Just in time for me to go to SILs birthday today :( which is an hours drive away! I feel crap! Stupid bug, stupid cramps & now stupid toothache too! No chance of getting out of going, everyone else has cancelled & it's her 40th birthday! DH just doesn't get it, all I want to do is dose myself up with painkillers, curl up on the sofa with & blanket & a hot water bottle & eat chocolate!!

AmandaCooper · 29/12/2010 13:29

On the one hand, we're not supposed to count a day as CD1 if AF arrives quite late in the evening, so anytime after 6pm she must be late. But you do pg tests in the morning, so that doesn't add up!

bebeinamanger · 29/12/2010 13:22

I have had period pains on & off for 2 days now, I wish AF would just hurry up so I know what date I'm 'aiming for' to jump DH! Wink

That sounds pretty confusing about the test, I would consider the day it's due as late if it hadn't arrived IYSWIM? Confused

AmandaCooper · 29/12/2010 13:21

Yes Bebe that sounds quite promising. I really hope we can both ttc at the beginning of next year. Any longer waiting and we will both go quite crazy!

Nannyl these cycles are so long aren't they! When you're not ttc all you can think is "oh flipping heck not AF AGAIN!" but when you're waiting for a particular point in your cycle to come round it seems to take an age! Anyway I hope NYD is lucky for you so you don't have to do any more waiting on this side. Plenty of waiting still to do on the other side of course lol.

I'm on CD4, so still a way to go before we can even get going!

nannyl · 29/12/2010 12:54

oh thats good to know bebe Smile

thinking about it last night / this morning / now i have been feeling what feel like the mildest of mild period pains.
I still dont feel pg though and i 'feel it in my bones' that im gonna get a BFN this month!
Just bought some more pregnancy vits, after all pg or not i still need to take them as we are trying!

Hope you feel better soon bebe. It seems that EVERYONE i know has been / is poorly over the last few weeks. Sad
Really hope you DH gets some good news and you can start 2011 on good form Smile

Oh and just read my 1st responce 6 days early test and realise that they (IMO) work from 5 days early as they count the day your period is due as 1 day early Confused (see i would call period due day as on time and not early!... anyway pleased i read that

(so when i test on new years day, 3 days before period is due i will be testing 4 days early, which is only 87% accurate anyway, as opposed to 98% the next day.)

bebeinamanger · 29/12/2010 11:39

Nannyl - My boobs never hurt when I was PG! Not once! Everyone is different! Don't give up hope!

I had no symptoms other than a sort of tingly tummy & what I thought were period pains. Then I hit 6 weeks & the vommiting started....and didn't stop being horrendous for 14 weeks! :( Remind me why I want to go through that again? 100 you have my sympathy it is awful!

Have got DHs bug, feel cold & achey & have no energy! (Not helped by DD waking me up at 5.15, at least she went back to sleep! Envy)

DH is upstairs working, waiting on some big news today which should put a positive spin on everything! Hoping we will start off 2011 on a good note!

nannyl · 29/12/2010 10:27

Morning all

100 so sorry you are feeling sick. (like you i actually wish i felt sick or something / anything) I dont! I have no pg signs at all Sad

Im now on day 23, 8 days post ovulation, and 6 days early. I have 4 first responce 6 day early pg tests, but i think its too early to test.
Visited my friend yesturday (the one who found out that she is pg on 23rd Dec) and she was telling me how if i am pg my boobs will really hurt (they dont), and even though she tested 3 days early she already knew she was pg. Envy

Thinking about doing one of my cheap ebay tests, but i dont think they are sensitive enough for testing now anyway.... perhaps i'll waste one on NYE (when ill be 4 days early)
Am keeping my 1st responce tests in the car until 1st jan so i dont test until then!

Hope everyone is having a nice few days.
I am happy down south, and we are visitng some of OHs family (who live quite close by) for dinner this evening which should be fun Smile
Seeing more friends tomorrow, then ready for New Year party with all my bestest freinds so that will be fun.

MrsSatsuma · 29/12/2010 09:46

Haha my DH can't work out why I'm on MN at all... although he has spent a fair amount of time playing games on his iPhone which annoys me intensely, so each to their own...

Am getting frustrated now - still no sign of AF and another BFN this morning. I wish I at least knew how long I need to wait but as I'm still not sure how long cycle is without the pill I can't even say for sure when I'm late. I wish I could just forget about it and relax...

AmandaCooper · 29/12/2010 00:49

Sorry 100years I didn't mean to ignore what you said about feeling sick as though agreeing that you shouldn't talk about it! As I was posting DH was yelling at me to get off that mn and order our Indian takeaway!

MrsSatsuma · 28/12/2010 21:36

100years, vent as much as you like - that's what we're here for! Sorry you're feeling ill :( Apparently Special K cereal is good at not making you feel sick. Try ginger too perhaps.

DH got me necklace and earrings - was absolutely gobsmacked as they are beautiful! He did very well Grin Got truckloads of chocolate (being a teacher does have its perks at this time of year...)

Still waiting for AF to appear... annoying as I don't know when to expect it, this being first post-pill cycle. Am on tenterhooks but not holding out much hope. Gaah!

AmandaCooper · 28/12/2010 21:04

DH got me some GHDs, which I've been wanting for absolutely ages. My parents got me a really nice travel bag. Might come in handy for labour bag!

Just stocked up on fresh grapefruit juice.
