strawberrry- i am soooo indecisive to i wish id never looked so much as now i found too much choice, i know i will still be wondering whether we bought the right one even after i have it, i like the way the top seat can face both u and the otherway and it can convert to a single when DD wants to walk everywhere :) oh and also like the price the icandy was going for atleast 350 second hand on ebay

bebe- i will have to try that recipe next time if these ones turn out successful, do u mind me asking wot toddler groups u go to with DD and which ones she enjoys the most?

nannyl- i will let u know how the brownies go tomoro :) not sure im quite the domestic godess haha im trying tho Grin altho i look more like a whale than a godess at the mo

The cupcakes look lovely Bebe!

DP's sister has done a cake decorating course and loved it, she says the equipment is quite expensive though but you can get it online for less (like most things!)

You are very creative!

Glad to hear things have improved (slightly!) Nannyl!

Good news about the pram jbells, I am soooo indecisive I get overwhelmed if there is too much choice. I think I might have to just ask you, bebe and nannyl to vote and go for the winner! :)

How did it go WW??????

bebejones · 22/01/2011 19:07

Brownie recipe Saw it on telly last week, looked amazing!

I try hard to plan out meals & always always write a list! I find I spend less if I do it online too as I don't get tempted by stuff!

I have taught myself the cake stuff. I want to get some books though on how to do things properly & also the right tools instead of improvising with kitchen knives!! Hmm Want to have a go at doing a stacked cake next!

Nannyl - maybe you are turning a corner? 2nd trimester should be better! :)

Wow

those cakes look so good bebe. Oreo cookie brownie sounds yummy too
Jbells, i LOVE nigellas brownies, almost always make them for myself for my birthday like on the picture (assme you doing domestic goddess?)

WW hope it went ok.

Im not feeling quite as sick i think.... although maybe i am.... i am however being sick less which must be good Smile (wasnt actually sick at all yesturday!)
Although i typically only eat tiny portions, or have 1 bite then regect whatever it is!

Am managing to drink plenty most of the day so am not worried, and if there is anything at all that i feel like, healthy or other wise i just let myself have it!
Still unbeliavbley exhausted all the time and despite 10 hours of solid sleep last night ive just had a 2 hour nap and will be ready for bed soon too.

Definitely finding being pregnant a real struggle Sad, but hoping in a few weeks i feel better and get my energy back

jbells · 22/01/2011 18:50

i didnt need to be nice just honest :) hmmmm oreo cookie brownies where did u get the recipe for them or did u invent it yourself

bebejones · 22/01/2011 18:39

oh thats great, my DD is not at an age where she can entertain herself yet, i cant even go in the kitchen for ten mins without her being wrapped around my legs lol, i am going to attempt nigellas chocolate brownies for the first time tomoro tho :)

bebejones · 22/01/2011 18:28

Jbells that is sooooo annoying! I always hate it when stuff like that happens, and usually by the time I can buy it the thing I want isn't on offer any more!!

Thinking about setting up a cake business. Been looking into all the 'official' stuff I need to do. Have to get a hygiene certificate but I can do it online. Also have to register with the council...maybe be inspected! Confused Just trying to build up a bit of a portfolio for now & doing stuff for friends etc. DD is mostly very well behaved & entertains herself really well so I can get on with it! :)

How did it go WW?

Is everyone having a nice weekend? It's very quiet on here!

I did a test batch of iced cupcakes with some left over fondant. I definitely need to get myself some proper 'tools'! Had fun though! Put a pic up, please be kind!! :)

DH in a foul mood, hoping it doesn't last all weekend I wanted to talk to him about the consultant!

Good luck WW, FX for you! :)

MrsSatsuma · 21/01/2011 23:20

Just very quickly as am on phone not computer - will reply to all on sun when I have some time! Whywait mention differentiation and how you plan to meet needs of all pupils. Sure you'll be fine, mine wasn't nearly as bad as I'd expected. Good luck!!

bebejones · 21/01/2011 22:11

Evening Squirrel! :)

No exciting plans here. Was going to be sorting the kitchen cupboards...but i did that today!

Busy touting for cake making work! :o A friend of DHs has enquired about me making her wedding cake! Shock So if that comes off, my first, paid for, cake will be a wedding cake....scared!!

JS - Hope the job is going well even if you are ridiculously busy!

Think I am going to get DH to come to appt with me, and will try & talk to him before we go about what we might want to ask/say to the consultant. Just everyone please keep your fingers crossed (although probably best not to do it from now until the appt (10th) coz your fingers will hurt Wink) that they don't want to MRI me again. DH thinks it's unlikely coz it costs them so much money! I'm not so sure, it's the only way they can track the progression (if any) of the MS. Really hope not, I hate it! :(

squirrel007 · 21/01/2011 20:54

Evening all!

bebe glad you got the phone sorted :) How are you feeling now? Maybe you can take the chance to talk to your DH again before the consultant appointment? He might say that you're okay off the meds (which could make your DH feel better), and if he says you should go back on them then at least you have the chance to quiz him about the pros and cons with your DH there to hear.

nannyl I hope the sickness eases soon for you, it sounds miserable.

quod good luck with your big application!

js sounds like you've been busy! Hope working for the new director is good.

whywait good luck with the interview! What kind of teacher do you want to be?

Things are good here today, I'm glad it's the weekend though. I don't have much planned, just a relaxed weekend at home. Anyone have exciting plans?

bebejones · 21/01/2011 20:00

Massive Good Luck vibes being sent to you from me!! Fingers & toes Hmm crossed! Wink

Good luck! (maybe try to include lots of buzz words like inclusion and providing for different types of learners, having an opportunity to develop literacy, numeracy and IT skills in every lesson etc- they love all that stuff!)

:)

Quod - also FX for March

JustShaggingForNow · 21/01/2011 10:11

Good morning Ladies!
Sorry I've not been online much this week. I am working for a new Director and it's suddenly got really busy and I've not even had time to email my DH, nevermind browse MN!!

bebe I hope that your appointment goes well. I would be in 2 minds as to what to do too. I can understand that you want support but may not want to be told by the consultant to go back on your meds when your DH is with you.

As Quod said, it could be a good chance to chat to your DH again and decide on what to say in the appointment. He may have had time to think about what you discussed too and you may be surprised at what he has to say.

I also like the idea of a dedicated Waiting thread as well as one here where we can all stay in touch.

x
