that sounds like a lovely Friday night Bebe. I've got yet another gym session (the training for the Bath Half has suddenly stepped up!!!) then home to tidy and clean the house for DH's return home.

Think I will try and persuade him to get a takeaway too but as he has been working late he will no doubt have been living off readymeals and take aways all week so probably won't feel like it. Damn it!!

We've booked to go and see Cirque du Soleil after your reccommendation - so excited!

VVVVVVV exciting that you may well be SWIing from Monday!! It will only be me and Astro here waiting soon!

bebejones · 07/01/2011 10:37

I'm keeping everything crossed, he has said that he really wants a chinese tonight (he is massively dosed up on cold & flu & sounding a bit perkier!) and that we can chill out with a bottle of wine & watcha film later, so that might be my 'chance'! Need to sort it soon, coz if he agrees we will need to be SWIing from Monday! Confused

Oh bebe it seem like the forces are really conspiring against you at the moment :( Hope that your DH feels better this weekend and you get a chance to chat.

bebejones · 07/01/2011 09:33

DH has flu! He's gone to work but he is really poorly! :( I usually think he is making out he is worse than he is, but he is actually proper ill! He fell asleep on the sofa last night just as I was trying to talk to him, how typical is that?!

Will give it another go later, DD has been going on and on all morning about a baby sister! She's been spending a lot of time with her baby cousin lately, although he is a he! Hmm

I meant that i CAN'T help but stare at the tummys...

AstroZola · 06/01/2011 20:51

I totally echo MrsS on the pregnant women NOT looking huge!! I can help but stare at their tummys, and i know that sounds awful, but i'm actually admiring them and their unborns and wishing it was me...i certainly don't think any pregnant woman looks big/fat etc...it's just not that kind of physiology!! Anyway, i'm really loving reading about all of you pregnant ladies...and Bebe - i really agree that maybe you could lock him in a room (so to speak) to talk to your OH. It really isn't fair that he can't give you the time of day! Good luck.

hello all

bebe- really glad u had a nice nite u deserved a nite off and good luck with the talk tonite

MrsSatsuma · 06/01/2011 17:23

Wow, bebe - I echo the sounds amazing!! How did you win that? Good luck for talk with DH - make him address the issue! Stand in front of the door if necessary! ;)

If it's worth anything to all the pregnant ladies, I don't think I've ever thought anyone pregnant looked huge - just that it was amazing to think there was an actual person in there and how proud they must be! Sorry if that sounds cheesy, but it honestly never occurred to me to think they looked huge in a negative way. I'm sure that when (if!) I get pg I will have similar worries, but just thought I'd my twopennorth!

Yet another person at work is pregnant - there will be no teachers left at this rate! That's what you get for having a staff that is half made up of women in their twenties / early thirties I suppose.... Am very happy for her but did experience a twinge of the green-eyed monster! Am waiting for my just-dispatched basal thermometer to appear, so at least I can feel like I'm doing something to help things every morning!

Squirrel congrats on a healthy scan. Super exciting!!

bebe that sounds AMAZING!!! I may have to look at getting tickets and making a trip to London one night!

bebejones · 06/01/2011 15:28

Hello all! I am back! :)

Congrats to JBells & Squirrel on happy healthy scans! :)

Going to try & talk to DH later. He has had a couple of good works days. Had a long chat with my mum about it & she is very much on my side!

Cirque du Soleil was the most amazing thing I have ever seen! Incredible! We were sat on the second row, about 10ft from the stage & before it started some of the artists were roaming around near us & doing magic & performing! The acrobats on the rings swung out over our heads so close we could have touched them & could feel the breeze as they rushed past! Also coz it was the premiere we got to see celebs on the red carpet being papped! Saw Kara & Artem (from Strictly) and also Brendan Cole & his wife. Saw Carol Vorderman, Chantelle (from BB) with Rav Wilding. Saw Jeremy Clarkson inside & Katherine Jenkins! Was just the best prize! Loved it! :o

Just back from my scan, all is well and baby measures 13 weeks and 1 day :) Was very reassuring to see that everything's good.

js glad you're calmer now! You're right that I probably only look big to me, it just takes a bit of getting used to :)

Quodlibet · 06/01/2011 14:27

Ooh JS - eeek for the close shave, but good to know you're ready, no? Are you using a persona monitor or just FAM method? (nosey emoticon!)

Loving all the nursery talk - if we ever get round to having a baby in this little flat the poor thing will be living down the side of the bed or in the bottom drawer or something....

JustShaggingForNow · 06/01/2011 11:35

Morning all!!
Feeling a little bit more calm about things this morning. I am hoping that the 4 days between the UPS incident the my OV will mean that we are in the clear!

It has somewhat focussed my mind though and I know that I am absolutely 100% ready!! It has also made me realise that i have to me more careful if we are going to make sure that I don't get PG before the March Half Marathon/ March Ski tip / April India adventure!!!

Squirrel I am sure that you don't look big to anybody else but you. We are always so hard on ourselves when it somes to what we see in the mirror! Your yellow nursery sounds lovely - how exciting!!!

JBells a boy would be perfect. Fingers crossed you get a 4D scan!

jbells glad the scan went well, did you want to know whether it's a boy or a girl? I want to know, but DH thinks it's best to not find out! Not sure what we'll do yet.

js fingers crossed for you with the surprise 2ww. Am sure if you talk to your DH he will be understanding. I think that jbells is right in that it's only a small risk from Saturday to today.

nannyl exhaustion was one of my earliest symptoms! A few weeks ago I could seriously have gone to bed at 8 every evening. Now it's wearing off and I can stay up till closer to 10.

whywait and jbells I love the idea of a yellow nursery :) That lemon tropics colour was one of our testers, but in the end we went with one that was a shade or two brighter (the room is fairly big and light, so can easily take a bright colour). Not sure about a theme, but we both like the idea of stickers on the walls. DH is keen on dinosaurs, while I like the idea of safari animals!

Hi to 100years, strawberrypie, AC, quod and everyone else :)

Am starting to feel a bit self-conscious now that I'm getting bigger. Not really showing yet, but I've put on weight mostly on my belly and my waist is slowly disappearing :( Luckily it's winter so I can wear drapey cardigans and loose chunky jumpers! Am going to need to go shopping soon for some new things though, as my normal clothes are starting to look a bit tight (and some of them don't fit anymore!)

I am adding to the list:

WHYWAIT- good idea to start a list of dates :)

nannyl-sorry your feeling so rubbish, i felt really nauseus rite from the beginning but was never actually sick and had a few near faints Hmm the exhaustion will wear off i was falling asleep by nine and now can make it past half ten :)

JS- they say sperm lives up to 5 days, so there is prob only a small risk im sure your DP wudnt think u planned it

mrs satsuma- hmmm suspensful im not sure whether its a word mite be lol, im hoping to have a 3D san at 26 wks if i can get my dad to pay hopefully we can know for sure as we dont need to buy any clothes if its a girl but will get to have fun buying blue stuff if it is a boy, but dont want to buy stuff untill im sure

squirral- our nursery is also yellow, well more of a lemon so it will do baby no2 aswell

bebe- wow i wud love to c them enjoy your nite of freedom and try not to worry about DD to much easier sed than done i know :)

strawberry- hope the bleeding has settled down and your ok

AC- how nice that your parents r on hand, my dad and all his side lives in malta and my mum works full time, so no free babysitting for me :(

Quod- waves hope all is goin well for u
