i approve all the new staff suggested lol

100- lots of people on the may thread also had spotting and all was fine, i can imagine how worrying it is tho, with DD i hadquite a big bleed all over the white sheets of the bed which prob made it look worse but all ended up fine :)

AmandaCooper · 08/01/2011 15:44

Squirrel I can't wait till we're doing the nursery! I go all gooey just thinking about it! Will you be putting some photos up when yours is done?

AmandaCooper · 08/01/2011 15:09

Oh yes Bebe, did you?

squirrel007 · 08/01/2011 14:55

Hi all! DH and I have just painted the second coat of paint on our nursery/guest room :) It's looking good now, can't wait to see it all finished!

Am liking the new staff members too!

100years I had pink spotting for about 2-3 weeks and it worried me too. Several people on the july thread did too. It's so hard not to worry, but there are lots of normal explanations. My midwife didn't seem at all concerned when I asked her about it. Hope it is all ok for you.

bebe did you manage to have the talk?

nannyl sorry about the scary journey in the snow - hope it all melts for you this weekend.

Hope everyone else is well :)

AmandaCooper · 08/01/2011 14:52

Gosh this whole process is nothing but waiting! Waiting to try, then waiting to do the deed, then waiting to see if you've caught, and then waiting to try again, and then once you do get a bfp it's just more waiting!

bebejones · 08/01/2011 14:51

im only 4& 1/2 weeks and its starting to sick in the i am ages away from the end of this trimester Sad. Just want to make it to the second trimester now.

Bebe how did you chat with DH go last night?

Mrs Satsuma cant believe your DH thought you were joking Shock

AC pleased to here you have a text book cycle Smile

Im tired so having an afternoon rest again while OH plays Wii. We are having a DVD night tonight

AmandaCooper · 08/01/2011 14:37

100years I can see why you would worry but it's most probably nothing. A bit of spotting wouldn't be unusual I don't think from what I've seen on this board.

AmandaCooper · 08/01/2011 14:31

Also a Damon Salvatore fan btw!

AmandaCooper · 08/01/2011 14:29

MrsSatsuma I've been here for about ten years and it took me ages to work out that IIT in the thread title stood for "in it together". For a while I thought it was a typo! We ought to be secretive about it and keep people wondering like with BESH.

jbells · 08/01/2011 14:11

oops dont think that link worked meant to say i however think that the sexiest man in the world is wentworth miller out of prison break for anyone not sure who he is please take a lool at wentworth miller on google images u wont be disappointed lol Grin

bebejones · 08/01/2011 13:54

100 - have you tried Nairns Ginger oat cakes/biscuits? (I recommend them to everyone! :o) They are low GI they don't gve you a crash in blood sugar levels. I always felt worse when my blood sugars were low. Try some low cal ginger ale as well. That was usually enough to stop me feeling like death! Although before I got to 16 weeks I couldn't stomach anything apart from ice cubes & the occasional glass of grapefruit juice! Confused

MrsSatsuma, the thread was originally started for people who were waiting, as the thread has got a bit more established there are people in here who have stopped waiting to TTC and are either TTC or are upduffed, but they(including me) like it in here and we've become a little group in amongst ourselves. The IIT means In It Together as we are all in it together from waiting to babies.

I've had a teeny tiny bit of weird coloured discharge, possibly spotting, there is only a leetle bit of it, but it made me burst into tears last night. It's no worse this morning, and I'm at the docs on monday, so unless anything gets worse I'll mention it then, will get checked out if anything more occurs before then. It's really scary, I have no control over what happens. Not going into work tonight as I'm still feeling real sick and dizzy, even if I'm not puking up so far today.

MrsSatsuma · 08/01/2011 12:40

Just to clarify, DH thought I was joking when I started mentioning TTC months ago, which is why it took him so long to make a decision. We both agreed to start seriously trying a couple of months ago - he doesn't still think I'm joking!

MrsSatsuma · 08/01/2011 12:38

AC I completely agree. Talking to DH today about how stressful I'm finding doing all the research etc (was annoyed as today was first day for taking my temp with new thermometer and completely forgot, grrr) I said I wished we'd started earlier and had done more research on how long it would take, but I was waiting for him to make a decision. DH said he thought I was joking about TTC..... whatever made him think that I really do not know!!! Argh!!!! I did point out that there aren't many women who would joke about something like that (and if they did it would be blatantly obvious). Men!!!!!!

On another note... seeing as we were going through who Jake and George were, can I also ask what IIT stands for on the thread title? [hides face in case tomatoes are hurled for not knowing that!]

AmandaCooper · 08/01/2011 08:47

JS blimey I only just spotted your UPS post! Four days before OV is cutting it a bit fine, girl! If you're now certain and before you were a bit dithery then that's a massive milestone and achievement.

I just need to get to that stage myself now and then pull DH down into the rabbit hole with me!

AmandaCooper · 08/01/2011 08:39

Typically men aren't supposed to be into talking about their problems/feelings/decisions, they're supposedly into sitting on a rock with their own thoughts. I know it's all stereotypes and that - but you don't see a DadsNet website with thousands of men who aren't our DPs chatting away about ttc and wanting a baby, do you?

The problem with some of our DPs is that I'm sure they forget to think about it at all!

In other news I seem to be having a textbook cycle this month in terms of fertility signs and this morning (CD15) my temp was up (disclaimer: it may just be all that booze I drank to help DH celebrate not smoking!)

How's everybody?

AstroZola · 07/01/2011 21:44

Yeah...I'll be waiting a while...you can bet on that...so while we wait can we introduce Ian Somerhalder to our staff ranks please...i think he's the sexiest thing alive...Blush...

I also agree about the law on OH's not talking to their DP's about pregnancy and babies. How long do they need to think about it for god's sake! I know they need or simply want some time to contemplate it but surely a couple of months will do it....why does it have to be so long...i swear my DP is making me wait on purpose...probably hoping i'll grow out of this wanting a baby phase...it sucks man!! Angry

MrsSatsuma · 07/01/2011 20:46

Hmm so not chicken pasanda then. Oh well, all the more for me... :)

nannyl · 07/01/2011 20:34

gruffalos like
scrambled snake, owl ice cream and roasted fox!

good luck bebe

MrsSatsuma · 07/01/2011 20:28

Do Gruffaloes like Indian food? We have rather a lot left over after the Friday evening can't-be-bothered-to-cook fest... We have yet to finish a 'meal for one' between us from our local! I may take a leaf out of your book AC and have some wine as I'll be staying off it soon, just in case... and drowning my sorrows as DH doesn't understand at all why I'm a little bit upset that I seem to be the only woman at school not pregnant!

Oh good grief, I'm obsessed Blush

(PS... AC, being a relative newcomer I also thought Jake and George were the friendly porters, until the topless links were posted... I must say it was a nice surprise to find George looking after my baggage!)

bebejones · 07/01/2011 20:20

We ended up with Pizza as the chinese was shut, which meant sharing with DD! Hmm She is in bed now, so am about to tackle 'the talk' with DH...again!

OP posts:
AmandaCooper · 07/01/2011 20:14

Right I'm off for some tapas and a bottle of red with DH, who hasn't had a cigarette all week and deserves a treat!

Look after the Gruffalo!
