Hi ive been posting on the miscarrage forum but now feel ready to start all over again!
My story, Had my first MMC in nov 2007, followed by an erpc (worst moment of my life) this was my first pregnancy and i felt robbed. Waited for two periods and got pg with my little DD in feb 2008, i had a great pg and birth but was on constant knicker alert. We decided when she was two we would like another baby to add to the familiy, we decided to try in sept this year and got pg first time! (very shocked) I was so hoping this would be my time to have a stress free pg and actually enjoy the experience! How wrong i was, i started to spot at six weeks had a scan which showed a sac but no baby, i then enjoured the worst two week of my life by having scan and blood tests. I was told on the 8th on nov the pregnany was not going to continue and i had a blighted ovum, and on the 9th i had a erpc. I have recovered well and stopped bleeding the day after the procedure. I went to see my doc last week who told me i could start ttc asap as long as i feel up to it?? anyone else ttc straight away, last time i was told to wait and i did but this time i have read that there is no lit to say wait apart from to date the pg?? Im hoping there are some people who can share there experiences and someone who wants to join me!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY worm have you been doing nice birthday things today? here I'll raise a Wine with you. Ahhh 36 you youngster...

Yeh, i can't wait for the interview to be over then I will have WineWineWine lined up!

Wormshuffler · 10/03/2011 16:28

Hello Ladies
Sorry been a bit busy, how are you all? it is my birthday today so I will help myself to Wine !! It was this time last year when we decided to try again and I had pictured having new little one or at least a bump by the time I hit 36 but hey ho I am soooo lucky to have the 2 DC's I have :)

I think those symptoms sound great harrassed I have never had a positive on an early PG test, in fact with my son it was over a week after AF due that it even showed as positive, so I have no advice to offer re this I'm afraid. So don't be too dis-heartened either pecka

Glad the essay is finished yellow I bet you can't wait for the interview to be over and done with!

Thank goodness the neck feels better wombat and No definately do not mix valium with wine!! [wags finger]

sparkly sorry she got you too ...evil witch and early too, how very inconsiderate!

Hmm thread names...... don't anyone dare put wormshuffling in the title! That is our secret Wink !!!! Sparklys the girl for the job....
[sparkly where are yooouuuuuuuuu?

yellowtomato · 10/03/2011 16:22

wow that's amazing wombat hmmm well at least it is more or less done, i can stop moaning about it.

how sweet you are nervous for me! Maybe you can just be nervous instead of me..that might help me to be more lucid.

glad your neck is better, shame you're off the booze. i can't believe you had to do work today, what's that all about? At least you can hog the TV now.

I was thinking that we need a new thread too...we need a good title but nothing that attracts too many newbies......one or two from time to time is great but we don't want to be flooded! (or is that just me being very anti-social?) def need to mention ttc and mc though......i second sparkly to come up with something.

wombatinwaiting · 10/03/2011 16:14

I'm sure it will be good "yellow" - have faith!

Has anyone else seen this? what happens to your insides when pg - fascinating stuff! Have new respect for pg ladies complaining of breathlessness and constipation issues!

yellowtomato · 10/03/2011 16:01

I think everyone must be busy today.

I think that superdrugs own brand are good, not too expensive and good for early testing.

I cannot believe how long it took me to do. It's not even that long or any good.

I see even more difficult that she's a good friend. I had the same thing with my first mc, my business partner was pg 3 weeks after me so her baby is a constant reminder.

My go and have a shower, was too keen to get started this morning.

wombatinwaiting · 10/03/2011 15:58

Hello, hello! Been rather busy at work for a change so no chance to pop on.

I will never rely on tea leaf readings again sparkly - v v sorry that the red witch got you. Next time I shall put my trust in the ever-reliable Daily Mirror horoscopes....would normally dive in on your offer of Wine but they say not to mix it with valium. Hope you have had a few yourself and found some biscuits.

Well done on the essay completion yellow - it's always a v good feeling isn't it? Here's to your revision for tomorrow's interview - is it odd that I'm feeling nervous for you?! And please proceed straight to the top of the class for charting and EWCM levels! You must have to get very personal with your ap I guess - do you ever get Blush with him?

pecka - that is super early to test so don't feel too down. So glad that you were able to enjoy the baby. And v Envy re: you at Jamie's restaurant - was it good? I think that you, me and harassed are just about in sync - I think af is due around 17th-19th so planning to test next Thurs as potential big drinking night - seems so far away though. Why does time go sooooooo slowly?

Sorry to hear that you were a bit Sad harassed - very understandable. Would recommend clearblue myself but that's only cos it's just about the only brand available here!

where are you worm? Hope all is ok and you're not too glum with af arriving....

Very pleased to report that the neck is loads better. Got a wonderful sleep with only one tablet of valium - it's good stuff! Would normally be enjoying a start of weekend Wine now but will have to resist. DH out on a boys night soon so the sofa and tv is all mine - hurrah!

We are definitely going to need to start a new thread soon ladies - any suggestions for a name. How about something like "Here's a thread for wormshufflers etc. ttc post mc"? No pressure sparkly but I'm sure your wonderful wit can come up with something better!

harassedinherpants · 10/03/2011 15:12

I thought I'd killed the thread stone dead!!

Well done for getting on with the essay. I'm making sloooow progress on my anatomy & physiology, but at work all day today.

Thing is preggers lady is a very good friend, so it's kind of going to be there forever!

Normally I'd be poas by now, but I used my last two when got bfp before and not bought any more. Might go and buy one tomorrow and test Sat am as going out Sat night. But which one?? Any rec's?

yellowtomato · 10/03/2011 15:03

Whooo.......where is everyone?

Essay is very nearly finished.....it is done but I need to re-read it, correct any mistakes and fix referencing errors......

So am going to have lunch so that I have a little break from looking at it.

And then will do some interview prep and proof reading.

It's all very exciting in my life isn't it?

hey pecka will it was very early to test...and it would also be very early for symptoms. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.

harassed sorry that you were upset by seeing the preggers lady, it is really hard isn't it? I know I cope less well with people who are at the stage I would have been. I know exactly what stage it would be cos NHS choices keep emailing me about what stage I'd be at even though I've unsubscribed some time ago. I complained to their IT dept and have had apologies.....grrrr

I think your signs sound good though harassed are you a cheeky early tester like pecka or will you hold on?

harassedinherpants · 10/03/2011 09:26

Morning,

Sorry didn't get on yesterday, just a manic non-stop day. Back at my desk for a rest and cuppa in peace.

Yellow how's that essay going???

Pecka I'm glad that seeing the baby was good, but sorry you're feeling a bit sad too. I'm due next week too. Cd24 for me of a 28-31 day cycle normally.

Sparkly sorry af got you too.

The cramps I was having seem to have subsided, boobs feel a bit odd and I've been heaving cleaning the kittens litter tray for the last two mornings, but then I have a horrid tickly cough and that can get me going too! So basically, not a clue Hmm

I got all upset last night. I'd taken dd and her friend to meet some other friends for tea, and dropped friend back to her house. I'm very close to her mum and we were due within 2 days of each other. And she's got a bump now Sad. Really felt like a kick in stomach and poor dh had more tears to contend with.

pecka33 · 09/03/2011 22:16

yes yellow bet back to it!!! At once...
If my cycle works out as 28-30 days i should be due on between 16th-18th ish, i honestly dont feel preggers, even did a cheeky test yest and it was a bfn but i kinda knew thst to be honest, i know its not over till the fat lady sings, or cry, wimpers in my instance, but just not feeling it this month!!! Blar blar blar....

yellowtomato · 09/03/2011 21:26

I'm working on the essay now!! Well I was.........just a quick look at MN....I'm back on it again now honest!

Glad seeing baby was ok...

yes we are waiting for you to produce a bfp...come on what are you waiting for?

Right, essay....hmm, I'm on it!

pecka33 · 09/03/2011 21:15

ahhhh sorry af got you ladies, is it just me waiting then?? Its due next week sometime, god knows when as not sure when i ov,d this month!!!

Seeing baby was good, shes beautiful and looks alot like my side of the family, my brothers baby for sure, babys always make people happy dont they?? And my family seem to be very happy at the moment, except for me, "wimpers softly to herself" wipes the tears and say fuck that shit, pull yourself together girl" lol... Trying sparkly and wombat, im jsut not good at it??? Lol...
The big smoke good, saying over so had a lovely meal at jaime olivers place with a large glass of red..... Yummmmmmmm, ponders,is excess wind and bloating a symptom of pg or just the fact ive eaten far too much??

Hows the neck now wombat?? And yellow, essay??? Need i say more!!!

Speak soon, lots of cuddles. Xx

yellowtomato · 09/03/2011 18:31

Arrrrgh I meant wombat re the chair..

How are you doing worm? seems you me and sparkly are syncing our cycles!

yellowtomato · 09/03/2011 18:29

oh no sparkly I can't believe af got you too. What a bummer.....yes I'll have some Wine over here please. With a vodka chaser (or is that too much for a Wednesday?)

Ap guy was very nice and didn't seem to think that a 25 day signified anything at this stage, he'll only worry if it becomes a pattern so I guess we'll see what happens next. Gonna keep taking the herbs and seeing him and see what happens.

i def did have a lot more EWCM this month than usual and he said that is down to the herbs. I showed him my chart and he was v pleased and said it showed 'clear signs of ovulation' I felt v proud! Grin

pecka how you doing? How did you cope with your day in London?

worm I'd seriously consider taking it to work. When I worked in an office I always had sore back/shoulder etc and someone bought one of these in and I tried it and never looked back. I love it. I think it is partly because in a 'proper' chair I tend to slump and stay in the same position but on this chair I'm always moving about so don't get stiff as it were.

Arrgghh, didn't get much essay done, starting to stress now.....grrr, why do I leave things to the last minute? answers on a postcard.....

Sparklywine · 09/03/2011 16:48

Wombat, your tea leaves are poo, af arrived a day early, today. I am bloated, snappy, spotty, out of bourbons and thoroughly hacked off. I have never been so alluring! Grin
Wine anyone?

wombatinwaiting · 09/03/2011 12:45

Thanks yellow - I assume you're on a tea-break?! yes we have one of those here at home, however no desk to use it with - just the kitchen bar with stools - hmmm.... tempted to take it into work though. A friend of mine takes one of those big blue swiss balls to sit on due to bad back - got quite a few funny looks to start with but he swears by it - think it is quite good for flat tummies too!

Good luck with the essay1

yellowtomato · 09/03/2011 12:41

hey wombat glad you've got drugs and physio helped too.....have you ever tried one of these kneeling chair

I think it's fantastic, really stopped me getting a bad back....I still have tense shoulders though but that's another story.......

Him leaving CD11 is with the short cycle would have been 7 or 8 before......I guess with a shorter cycle maybe CD11 could do the job [clutching at straws emotion]

wombatinwaiting · 09/03/2011 11:54

Get off mn and on with your essay yellow! Seriously, can't be easy with unexpected AF, deadline plus interview prep - here's to the end of this week for you and some good news on the interview. I'm quite sure you've thought of it already, but with your shorter cycle this month, will DP's biz trip mean he's still leaving on CD11? Here's hoping....

How's everyone else doing today?

Well, I am back from docs and physio. Doc prescribed valium Shock to help relax the muscles and hopefully sleep through the night - I checked with him re: pg and he assured me that valium and paracetemol (if I need it for the pain) is fine for early pg - feel a complete fraud as only on 5DPO, however can't be too careful and he said to stop with the Voltarin. My lovely physio, who happens to be from the same part of NZ as DH, did wonders with it althoug was alarmed at how knotted up it is. She gave me some good tips including how to make it better at the laptop so desperately trying to type with my shoulders back - feels as if my boobs are attempting to touch the screen though Grin.

yellowtomato · 09/03/2011 09:39

Morning all

pecka sorry you're still feeling down, how's it going in the big smoke today? maybe a change will help you feel a bit better? How did it go visiting your niece?

sparkly that's exciting, will keep my fingers crossed for you.

harassed thanks for the thoughts re a kinesiologist but due to limited funds I'm just trying one thing at a time...well i guess it's technically two with acupuncture and herbs but with the same person. I'll give him at least 2 more months cos next month won't be able to try properly due to ill-timed business trip. Light crampy was a 'sign' of pg for me, like rumblings. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

worm ouch ouch ouch re your neck...and you think it was caused by rowing at the gym? sounds awful. I guess you will have had the physio by now, hope it helped. I get very stiff neck and shoulders (not pain to your extent though) and find going to Pilates regularly helps. Do you have to work today or can you go home for a nap? Hope you manage to catch up on your sleep tonight.

I am all period-y and cramp-y and feeling a bit sorry for myself. Also massively panicking about essay deadline yet spending time procrastinating on here Confused

waves to all

wombatinwaiting · 09/03/2011 04:24

harassed - how extraordinary re: your cycle..... good that you have managed to pin it down. Hope the cramps are not AF.

sparkly - I hear your whistle and also remember that you have previously done your friday "treat" POAS so.... by my reckoning, I think it's this Friday.... and that's it - that is the last I am going to say on the matter!

Hope you are feeling a bit better pecka - thank goodness you were spared the drive home, but I do feel for you having to do the 3 hour wait....

Not surprised you're thinking along the lines of a would be bean worm - I know I'd be the same. Still Sad for you though.

Hope the counsellor was good for you yellow and that ap appt goes well too.

Well, I survived the night out (drove in the end as on the 2WW and it's a school night) but then woke at 2.30 in total agony with my neck - could barely move and had muscle spasms to kingdom come. Wacked down a couple of voltarin and quietly whimpered on the sofa trying to get comfortable until the pills kicked in and falling into a fitful sleep... I couldn't believe how much pain it was causing me. Fortunately I woke around 6 and it was considerably better. Have booked doc for midday for a referral and physio afterwards - I'll have to pay for the first physio session as the approval won't come through in time from the insurance company but I don't care as there is no way I am spending another night like that again. I'm exhausted.

harassedinherpants · 08/03/2011 17:09

MMM, though I smelt chocolate!

Yellow - you have to have some faith in the acupuncturist. Honestly. I see a kinesiologist, have you thought of that? Her potions sound like they taste better than your tea!

Pecka, it's amazing how we're just meant to get over losing a baby, and how thoughtless people can be Hmm

Worm not too sure when af is due tbh!! I'm cd22 now. I had my mmc/erpc then 28 days later got af and this is my first proper cycle. Previously cycles were 28, 31, 28,31 or similar. Weird but regular!!

I have a very crampy tummy still and finding it impossible to believe it's anything other than af on her way.

pecka33 · 08/03/2011 16:59

OOhhh ive kindof lost track!! sorry af got you guys, shes a witch isnt she..

Well after waiting three hours for my SIL to be discharged she wasnt and they kept her in, so it meant i didnt have to pick her up after all, maybe its fate.....

Off to see them tonight, as not seen my neice yet, worm yes they do all know about the mc,just dont think they think about it, and how its affecting me 6 months on...

Yellow sorry your feeling so down, hopefully the ap guy can give you some positive thoughts.

Not alot to add today ladies as feeling pretty much the same as yesterday, another day in my pj's working from home, in london the next two days so better pull myself out of it fast!

waves to all x

Sparklywine · 08/03/2011 16:07

Maybe tomorrow, maybe Friday, could even be next week Wombat

Wink
yellowtomato · 08/03/2011 15:43

oooh thanks for the chocolate worm just what I need. Have been wallowing a bit in my misery today, we have the disappointment to deal with as well as stomach cramps....how is that fair?

I could insist on seeing the NHS miscarriage people as I qualify having had only 2 m/c because of my age but there isn't really anything else that they can tell me. Genetics/time isn't on my side. I'll see what the acupuncturist says when I see him tomorrow. He is very optimistic but I'm not sure what he bases that on. I think I'm more disappointed cos DP is going to Australia on a business trip on CD11 this month so that means I'm unlikely to be successful and that will be another month gone by.....so can't really try again until April...waaahhh, moan, me, me, me etc........ Sad

worm sorry to hear that it may have been 'one that got away' that is very frustrating but from my limited understanding of things, it would have been so small at that early stage that I don't think rollercoasters would have that much impact....I may be wrong though.....

I am actually doing quite well on the diet 10 days in and I can get back into my 'normal' jeans so that's a relief. I reckon I still need to lose at least 10lbs more though....so not fun.

Re menopause some of the 'symptoms' are sweats and irritability and needing to wee a lot but an irregular and particularly shortening cycle can also be signs. I felt so disheartened this morning, I've never had such a short cycle before.....

harassed they do sound like good symptoms, keep us posted.

pecka how you doing today my lovely?

mana It's so normal to be nervous but I've got my fingers tightly crossed for you.....

Right, off to see counsellor, laters!

Wormshuffler · 08/03/2011 15:00

Hi girls
I have Galaxy, maltesers M and Ms, minstrals and revels in the Worm-mobile today so take a few bags of each.........

Sorry she got you too Yellow are there anymore doctors left to see? have they been through any possible interventions with you?, I know you don't want to go down the IVF route, but is there anything else they can do? ( feel free to tell me to mind my own business)

pecka hope it went as well as it could yesterday, do they know about your M/C?

Those sure sound like good symptoms harassed when is AF due?

I certainly don't blame you for feeling nervous Manamamma

Wombat don't worry you wern't nagging! I felt positive too! She is here with a vengeounce now and is much heavier than my usual pathetic A/F and more painful than usual too, so I can't help feeling it was a would be bean that got away, and cursing myself for even trying that month. Have fun if you go out on your ( another?!?!) night out Wink

Cheers for the biccies sparkly hope they are positive cramps and not evil ones.....

wellie how are you settling in?

Talk soon
