Hi ive been posting on the miscarrage forum but now feel ready to start all over again!
My story, Had my first MMC in nov 2007, followed by an erpc (worst moment of my life) this was my first pregnancy and i felt robbed. Waited for two periods and got pg with my little DD in feb 2008, i had a great pg and birth but was on constant knicker alert. We decided when she was two we would like another baby to add to the familiy, we decided to try in sept this year and got pg first time! (very shocked) I was so hoping this would be my time to have a stress free pg and actually enjoy the experience! How wrong i was, i started to spot at six weeks had a scan which showed a sac but no baby, i then enjoured the worst two week of my life by having scan and blood tests. I was told on the 8th on nov the pregnany was not going to continue and i had a blighted ovum, and on the 9th i had a erpc. I have recovered well and stopped bleeding the day after the procedure. I went to see my doc last week who told me i could start ttc asap as long as i feel up to it?? anyone else ttc straight away, last time i was told to wait and i did but this time i have read that there is no lit to say wait apart from to date the pg?? Im hoping there are some people who can share there experiences and someone who wants to join me!

Only got pg once and always felt that was a bit of a fluke and we hadnt worked out best dates ect, only just got married so was a little fruity if you know what i mean... Wink wink.
Tried taking my temps last months but didnt make much sense as they were all over the place and used the ov sticks for my fertile period got two lines on two occasions so fingers crossed it works.....

welcome mana, sorry youve found yourself on this thread. You,ll get plenty of support here, we all at different stages now, post mc, i think i maybe the furthest along, three cycles since my mmc just waiting on my next hopefully BFP... (i think im right, unless someones lurking lol)
emotionally it does get better but we all have blips along the way and this thread is always there for those blips.
I had one just this morning when yet another friend announced via the evil facebook she was pg due in july!!! Sometimes i just wish all pg women would just bugger off!!! (JOKE :@) )
had my xmas pty in london thursday nyt, drank alittle too much so still feel im recovering from that, well thats my excuse for still being in bed at 11:30 watching nigella!!! Lol

nurse, welcome back, your naughty weekend sounds fab, my husband did the same for me, and about the same point as you are now, and it was just what we needed.

Hope the rest of you ladies are well, still waiting on my pre seed and ov sticks from amazon at this rate it will be dec 2o11 before they arrive, bloody snow!!

kitkey · 18/12/2010 10:49

Welcome manamana. hope your recovery and journey to a BFP is a short one.

Great news on the AF front yellow. I know what you mean about sneakily wanting a BFP

Well no AF for me - if I hadn't had the spotting earlier in the week I would be hopeful for a BFP but the spotting has put me right off and freaked me out that this was my AF. I am peeing on the internet tests at least twice a day at the moment and not even a evaporation line to excite me. I am so hoping for AF before xmas as otherwise I will still be in this foul mood with an invisible sign over my head saying "don't talk to me". My mood is dreadful. I just keep thinking of the Dr who did the ERPC and promised risk of complication is low- I am very angry with the world. I can cope with the miscarriage if my body would do something for me.

Had a bit too much to drink on thursday night at my works xmas party night and it affected me quite badly that I still feel rough today - maybe that is making my mood worse too.

Got to rush - kids crying

yellowtomato · 18/12/2010 09:13

Re Xmas I have bought all my presents and putting tree up today! We all need to cross our fingers that it doesn't snow near gatwick on Xmas eve so I can get my flight to France.
We've only got a tiny dusting of snow today but apparently a lot more is on it's way. How much have you got?

yellowtomato · 18/12/2010 09:08

broughthimround oh no, that doesn't sound good. Poor you, have you anything nice planned for the weekend to cheer you up?

manamana sorry to hear about mc but you are very welcome here. My partner seems to have moved on quite quickly and doesn't really like to discuss it anymore. My erpc was 5 weeks ago.

Emotionally I think I am more or less back to normal but I think I'd prefer not to hear any pregnancy announcements at the moment. I got my AF this morning. Am really happy yet a tiny bit disappointed too because we did have a sneaky try this month. Mind you because I am having tests it is probably best to be able to see those results first!

broughthimroundtotheidea · 18/12/2010 08:50

Hi everyone. I was clench234 on the due in June thread so recognise lots of you from there. Really pleased to find you as head is all over the place.
Went for my scan on 6th, development had stopped at 9weeks, 4 weeks earlier. I just wanted to get it out after it had been in there for so long so opted for ERPC the next day. Have been up and down ever since, never felt like this before - don't really know how to feel or what to do to shake this. I already have 2 ds so don't feel like I should be desperately wanting a baby, just feel really sad and a bit lonely. My GP signed me off work until xmas because I have quite a stressful job and I just couldn't face it. DH is being lovely, he was more shocked than me as he has been Mr positive when I was worrying (felt really anxious ahead of scan, think I must have known on some level), its hard for him as he has to go back to work and throw himself into all the xmas celebrations etc. How are your partners dealing with it?
Anyway, GP says can start trying again as soon as bleeding has stopped. It has, so we have, but it doesn't seem to make me feel any better.
Anyway, sorry for outpouring, lots of love to everyone else going through the same stuff. Good to hear that lots of you have AF and bodies seem to be getting back in synch. Sorry to hear so many traumatic stories. Hopefully we'll have lots of good news on here at some point.
Thanks for listening. x

That's the way Strawbs, bottoms up Xmas Grin

StrawberryCreamTea · 17/12/2010 15:37

Thank you so much for such a warm and lovely welcome! Xmas Grin

MrsB good to hear you're already at the ttc stage, and fx that AF stays away for you next week, what a fab Xmas present that'd be! Xmas Grin

wombat I agree totally about the fast forward button, am so wishing these next few weeks of my life away! Glad AF made a proper appearance for you after the false start.

brought hope you're enjoying the 17 days off!

kool thanks so much again for sending me across here, everyone's lovely!

yellow so sorry to hear you've had to go through this twice, wishing you lots of ttc luck and hoping AF shows up for you v soon.

kit hope your body gets back to normal soon and puts your mind at rest.

star sorry you had to deal with the midwife call - I had the scan that showed up my mmc on the day I was supposed to have first meeting with the midwife, I was lucky that the EPU made the call to tell her we weren't coming (I think they felt sorry for me as I burst into floods of tears and started furiously scribbing out the midwife appt details in my diary).

sparkly Leeds sounds amazing and yay for AF!

All these AF appearances are making me feel much more positive for my own! Had another big bleed this week (bit scary even though I'd been warned it might happen) and am hoping that was the last of the retained products, fx.

Xmas has also managed to throw all my good intentions into turmoil, I'd decided I was going to stay off the alcohol and on the healthy living after the erpc - but now I know that AF (and therefore ttc) can't possibly arrive before Santa does I'm putting all the virtuous plans on hold until the New Year! Xmas Grin

Sparklywine · 17/12/2010 14:50

Yoohoo ladies and welcome Strawberry! Sorry I haven't been in touch for a while, DH and myself went off for a boozy saucy couple of days in exotic Leeds, to do some Christmas boozing shopping and see James, who were fantastic. It was some sort of 20th anniversary tour, how old do I feel! Shock Managed to mosh our way into the 2nd row, not bad for two old codgers! We'd got the tickets ages ago, I'd planned to park myself at the back with my 22 week bump, oh well!
Whilst away, guess what arrived? Go on go on go on.....yep, AF! I am in sync! It is my second since erpc so I feel a lot more back to normal, and ready to go for it in the New Year.

Just spent the night helping look after my 9 week old niece, she is at the lovely, smiley, attentive stage and made my heart melt, I want one! Won't be as angelic as that though, I have no doubt Smile Love to you all, great to catch up and glad to see most people are more up than down, it does get better. Wombat, your hiding AF made me giggle, we are perhaps a little too paranoid in tune with our bodies at the moment! x

yellowtomato · 16/12/2010 10:25

Oh kitkey sorry to hear that you are feeling so troubled. I guess in a 'normal' cycle if you ovulated last week you are still a week away from AF? Not sure about the spotting but as it is so light it might not really mean anything and you'll get the full flow next week? I had EWCM for about a week which ended nearly two weeks ago and not got AF yet. i guess I'm trying to say don't give up hope yet and try not to worry too much (easier said than done I know) until it has been at least 2 weeks since your ovulation.

MrsB33 you made me laugh, covering all bases. Hoping AF doesn't come but got OPKs and pre-seed just in case. I'm a bit nervous the first time I'll use it in case I put too much and .....well I guess it could get too erm slippy or something Blush

kitkey · 16/12/2010 07:19

Welcome Strawberries - sorry your about your MC - hope you get back to normal asap

Well me - I am baffled by my own investigations into my f**ked up body. So I had a positive OPK last Wednesday and Thursday with EWCM. Then spotting started on Monday eve which was only 5dpo - I did some bloods yesterday and my progesterone was 37 which is pretty indicative of ov - in all other phases of your cycle and to get AF it should be very low like 2 or 3 as the low progesterone is what cause the lining to shed. Good news - but I am still spotting and mild cramping - WTF?! I am really upset about the spotting and feel bamboozled by more body. The spotting is not reaching my pants except for mon but just apparent on a wipe ( TMI -a high wipe!!) I suppose all I can do is see if it turns into a normal AF. What i really hope is that this non exisistant bleeding is not a sorry excuse for AF. As you all know I have a bad fear of having ashermans syndrome post ERPC as was a bit reluctant for the op as my sister knows a bit about ashermans but I decided to go ahead for closure and now deeply regeret not waiting for a natural MC. Sorry to be a misery but think i am the rare case that has got it as was so apprehensiveto start with.

Hope you all have a good day - i'm off to count the pennies in the jar to see if I can afford to see a gynae privately if need be.

MrsB33 · 15/12/2010 23:13

yes wombat, you keep those legs firmly crossed and high in the air mid month, i will allow it, as long as you keep your fingers crossed for me too, i need as much luck as possible.
Yellow, yes thats what i meant sorry, was stuck in a 3 hour traffic jam so wasnt fully concentrating, im hoping and praying i get no af for 9 months now! Xx

ladies ive also ordered some pre-seed and ov sticks from amazon just incase af raises her ugly head again this month!! As above fingers, legs and toes crossed for me please!

X

yellowtomato · 15/12/2010 17:32

ooh winter tell me more about fertility poses, that sounds interesting. I'm ready to try anything.

I finally got my pre-seed in the post so I'll be ready to go once my AF finally comes...

star good to hear from you, you're still very welcome here. Although we are going to start trying straight away it's taken so long each time before that I'm sure I'll still be here in May.

winterwombatland · 15/12/2010 17:24

star - good to hear from you and please don't feel bad. Be a lurker if you prefer, but we'd still love to hear from you. Fingers crossed for your AF soon too and sorry to hear re: your MW call.... enjoy Florida if we don't speak to you before and happy Christmas Xmas Smile

winterwombatland · 15/12/2010 17:20

Well done yellow! Am seriously impressed with anyone who can venture out in that sort of weather. Interesting re: your acupuncture. koolforcats are you going to go back for some?

We had our yoga session tonight (we have a fab lady that comes to our place to do it privately but for virtually peanuts). She knows all about our issues and so concentrates on lots of fertility poses etc. Bloody hard work at times!

Thanks for all your reassurances on AF - I felt a bit of a twit this morning....

Ditto for me keeping everything crossed for you mrsb - well, not entirely true - I hope you will allow me to uncross my legs in about 3 weeks time!

brought - am v Xmas Envy about 17 days off but of course Xmas Grin for you.

kitkey - any news on the bloods?

strawberry - I hope we haven't put you off with all our chatter. We're not always this active or indeed madly comparing mildly interested in each other's cycles... Xmas Blush

sparkly, nurse - haven't heard from you guys in a wee while, hope all is well.

Right - off to luxuriate on the new couch - ttfn Xmas Grin

Star82 · 15/12/2010 17:02

Hi everyone :)

Sorry i've not posted in a couple of weeks, i've felt a bit deceitful as i think we are holding of TTC til May, and going away to Florida May/June time. And this is a TTC thread after all.

I have been catching up daily with you all and all the new girls too. I'm glad to hear everyone is doing well and we have a few AF's arriving, yay!!

I'm 4 weeks and 3 days post ERPC and still no sign of AF arriving.
Funny enough, i had a call from a midwife today trying to get me to arrange my next appointment with her. I had to break the news to her and i think she felt really bad. Is there not something in place to stop this happening? I would have thought the hospital would pass on the info to the GP for the midwives to be notified!!

Looking forward now to Florida and a friends 30th birthday weekender in March and will then crack on with TTC i think. The kids have developed an obsession with Harry Potter at the moment so it feels that's all that is on in our house. We missed the Harry Potter World opening in Orlando last year by 8 days so they're very excited to be going back again.

yellowtomato · 15/12/2010 15:32

Hurrah I went to the gym, feeling very proud.

Re acupuncture, I don't know. For the most recent pregnancy we'd been trying for nearly a year, I had 2 sessions of acupuncture and was pregnant.......but it took a year the time before too so it could just be that it was time.

koolforcats · 15/12/2010 10:07

Aw....you guys are great! Where else in the world could we spend so much time and detail on our AFs?!! Xmas Grin

Welcome creamtea I'm glad the link worked and you joined us. Xmas Smile

MrsB I have everthing crossed for you Xmas Wink

winter I liked your AF update, made me laugh! I've looked at that website lots and found it pretty useful but I'm not sure I fitted exactly into the scenarios. It sounds like you're all up and running in the AF department now anyway but mine too started much more lightly then started 'properly' the next day. Mine only usually last a few days but this one is on day 4 with no signs of slowing down yet Xmas Hmm. Mind you I don't mind really as it'll hopefully get rid of my remaining tissue too.

brought wow, 17 days, enjoy!

yellow ouch! I used to have accupuncture too. Do you think it helped you conceive originally? Enjoy the gym today!

kitkey how are you today?

yellowtomato · 15/12/2010 09:26

Morning all
wombat hurrah for the AF arrival, it's exactly what I want to read about over breakfast Grin I went for acupuncture yesterday and he stuck the needles in extra hard to stimulate hormones and get AF on her way. So fingers crossed I'll be joining you guys soon.

Welcome creamtea i am ttc my first as well but am on my second mmc. Apparently that only happens to 5% of people so I'm quite special Hmm My ERPC will be 5 weeks ago on Friday and still no AF but I'm hopeful! please feel free to share any of your worries here and there is no such thing as tmi, that's what we're here for Smile

broughthim 17 days off? Wowzer that'd be so fabulous. Plenty of time to scoff chocolates rest and prepare yourself for lots of baby action in the new year.

kitkey have you decided to go ahead with the blood test today? Hope we both get AF soon.....

MrsB33 and the opposite to you, hope the AF doesn't arrive at all for 9 months!

Right am definitely going to the gym today! Even thought it's very cold, about 1 degree, I need to be brave before I run out of clothes that fit me!
