Hi ive been posting on the miscarrage forum but now feel ready to start all over again!
My story, Had my first MMC in nov 2007, followed by an erpc (worst moment of my life) this was my first pregnancy and i felt robbed. Waited for two periods and got pg with my little DD in feb 2008, i had a great pg and birth but was on constant knicker alert. We decided when she was two we would like another baby to add to the familiy, we decided to try in sept this year and got pg first time! (very shocked) I was so hoping this would be my time to have a stress free pg and actually enjoy the experience! How wrong i was, i started to spot at six weeks had a scan which showed a sac but no baby, i then enjoured the worst two week of my life by having scan and blood tests. I was told on the 8th on nov the pregnany was not going to continue and i had a blighted ovum, and on the 9th i had a erpc. I have recovered well and stopped bleeding the day after the procedure. I went to see my doc last week who told me i could start ttc asap as long as i feel up to it?? anyone else ttc straight away, last time i was told to wait and i did but this time i have read that there is no lit to say wait apart from to date the pg?? Im hoping there are some people who can share there experiences and someone who wants to join me!

Ah ladies - you are brilliant! I am almost wetting myself laughing at these images of post coital skulking with "special friends" along the floor - the things we have to do! I snuck my special friend (Percy - can't for the life of me think why I named him that) into the country when I first arrived 5 years ago as they're actually illegal here. Fortunately got through fine as the thought of having to explain your detention at customs to your employer might not be the most auspicious start to your new job! I am now wondering if our friends have an expiry date.... as 5 years seems quite old. He's well maintained, so to speak.....

Sparklywine · 05/01/2011 16:51

Brought, cross posts, that is priceless! The preparation, the stealth, the waiting for his breathing to slow down to indicate sleep, the lowering horizontally on the floor, the wormlike shuffle, the conjuring up of delightful images (not toothpaste stains round the sink, which is what I'd probably focus in on!) as Rog whirrs into action.....
Nice work!

Sparklywine · 05/01/2011 16:25

Thanks yellow, delightfully devious. Love the thought of him wandering off, pootle pootle. Thinking about it, we tend to discuss what's for tea pretty much immediately afterwards (having been mulling it over during Grin) so he'd get suspicious if I remained silent. I'd have to enter into some sort of discussion, by which time it would take me an age to 'warm back up again', having got rid of him to take stuff out of the freezer. Read that back and we seem to have got into a bit of a routine! Grin
I hope it things happen for you more swiftly this year, the wait each month must be agonising as time goes on. My sister took 18 months to conceive her first, and she used to get really distraught, especially as there was no known cause other than mother nature piss-arsing about! Hopefully the blood test results will throw up something tangible that can set you on the right path this time around.

broughthimroundtotheidea · 05/01/2011 16:21

Well sparkly pull up a comfy chair and some popcorn and I will give you all the details........
Picture the scene, DH relents for the fifth night in a row with cries of "What AGAIN???? oh if I must". It is all over with..... not that quickly actually considering the whole 5 days in a row timetable and he falls asleep instantly. I who have been reading all about the orgasm pulling up the little fishes lay there pondering to myself, with my little friend as mrsb33 calls him (mine is called Roger)shouting to me from the bedside draw "Hi there lover girl......lets you and me go and have some fun in the ensuite!
So I then think how do I get myself and rog to the ensuite without standing up and therefore undoing all DH's hard work?? So I lower myself down to the floor with my feet still in the air and rog down my cleavage and somehow shuffle myself to the ensuite like a worm....
I won't go into what happened next as that could be bordering on porn, but I think you get the picture! Shock
When I shuffled myself back to bed ( now that IS impossible without going vertical) I then lay there for hours thinking I would end up with a hyperactive kid after it had that start to the world!!

Good luck with the potential implantation pangs (I definately had those)mrsb33

Yellow pesimism is definately the way to go.

wombat hope the job chat turns into something just in time for you getting PG then going off on ML Wink

yellowtomato · 05/01/2011 13:05

sparkly well if you want the details.....he usually gets dressed and wanders off and I stay lying down as he understands it so they don't all fall out. And so when he's gone to watch TV or whatever I erm finish the job! Grin

I also know what you mean re trying to think 'oh it won't happen this month' to avoid the crashing disappointment. I think that whatever we say or tell ourselves we are all going to be disappointed with our first af after a month of trying.

As I've said a few times it took me a year both previous times so I've no idea why I'm being so optimistic....maybe it's partly at this stage that I can't really face waiting another year.

Mind you I will get results of all my blood tests at end of Jan so that might reveal something useful/scary.

Sparklywine · 05/01/2011 12:32

Yellow, ohhh! DIY! Do I wait for DH to go and stick the kettle on? Grin One's normally enough, I think I'm quite bloke-like in that respect. Do you confess, or do you pretend to be asleep until he pootles off to play on the computer? Genuinely fascinated and can't quite work out the logistics.

Nipples have self-toned, and feel like I have pmt as I'm either hating everyone or think they hate me, and am very bloated, so doesn't feel promising for this month anymore but I am also tricking myself into being pessimistic to avoid too much disapointment, if that makes sense, and am therefore actually still optimistic and in line for a crashing let-down.

Based on a very non-statistical one month, I should have ovulated on Boxing Day, the day we failed to DTD as the cat went missing and I was outside shaking a box of Brekkies for hours. This means I am 10dpo. Barely time to hoover the house, never mind create a new life.
Hi to all, and thanks for all the sharing!

yellowtomato · 05/01/2011 11:53

PS wombat I liked the link to the song.....it would be funnier if it weren't a bit too true!

yellowtomato · 05/01/2011 11:31

Morning ladies

sparkly your nipples sound interesting (not a sentence I thought I'd ever type!) I'm sure that could be an early sign....have you any other symptoms and what day of your cycle are you on? Re orgasm I kind of meant what brought said, a sort of diy whilst/instead of legs in the air!

wombat really pleased you had a good job related chat......even if it's not exactly the right fit it is good to know that there are opportunities out there. I need to job hunt now, I just want to earn some money whilst I study but need to find something to do for at least the next 2 to 3 years before I can start working as a counsellor. I am so not motivated though and haven't even sort out my CV yet. That was the first task for today but so far I have been to the gym and procrastinated on mumsnet! Zumba is a keep fit dance class that is sweeping the nation (according to the paper!) It's sort of south american salsa type thing. It's great fun, loud music and apparently you can burn up to 700 calories in an hour (or something) I really need to loose those kilos so I can fit into all my clothes again.

MrsB33 interesting pains..could very well be implantation.....I think it can take place between 3 and 7 days or something. Any other symptoms?

I am about 5 or 6 days post ovulation and have no symptoms at all. Not one....am staring hard at my nipples but nothing is happening Grin

Who else has got some symptoms to report?

winterwombatland · 05/01/2011 05:44

mrsb - love the description of stunning the little buggers to death b4 they meet their final destination - what a way to put a smile on my face this morning! Fingers crossed your lower tummy pains are what we all hope they are Smile

brought - perhaps we should all try your top tip for falling pg - if nothing else, we'll have fun! Grin

Had a good meeting this morning about a promising position - not sure if I'm exactly what they're looking for or if it's exactly what I'm looking for, but it was a good boost for feeling valued and valuable and that there is life past this crappy bunker and a wonderful world out there waiting to be grabbed by the horns.

MrsB33 · 04/01/2011 23:13

havent been on since this afternoon whilst skiving work, thought id log on b4 bed!! Brought i neally fell off my bed with your comment, "finishing yourself off" far too funny.
Me and my hubby use my little friend for that but im not sure if its stunning the little buggers to death b4 they meet there final destination!!! Lol...
So sorry you ladies are all having a bad time at work, im not 100% happy at work but it think that has a lot to do with me wanting to be finishing for a year in feb...
And sparkly, nipple toners!! Classic...
Qestion time, 3 days post ov and having a few pains lower left hand side of tummy?? Implantation maybe?? Or is that just wishfull thinking.... (inserts thoughtfull face)

broughthimroundtotheidea · 04/01/2011 20:25

Hi Girls............just to add my 2 peneth to the orgasm conversation, I fell pg on the month when I had "finished myself off" Wink TMI i know but we are all buddies now!! xxx

winterwombatland · 04/01/2011 17:57

Ha ha ha - that's v funny! Would love to know the answer re: nipple weight gain sparkly - what's the verdict?! Could be a great sign though - keep us posted please! Only a few more days to go....

Two is possible (with a 10 min break or so in between) - only about thrice in a lifetime (so far) for me!

mana - so glad you're feeling better. Amazing stuff re: the cervix dipping.... Shock and Confused - do post the link if you find it please!

mrsb - how lovely re: Barbados. ERPC was 14th Nov and AF due to arrive approx 10th jan, I think

yellow - what the heck is zumba? Something to do with weight loss or conception? Or a combination of the 2?! Could be interesting Grin

Thanks for all your kind words re: the job. I'm actually finding it quite sad as I've been with the company almost 7 years - 2 years in the UK and 5 years here and used to think they were the bees knees and that's all changed now.... anyhoo I'm meeting someone for coffee tomorrow morning who may have a suitable position for me - the wonders of LinkedIn eh?

If anyone who has put on the kilos needs a laugh, my fave radio station here has just done a parody on Elton John's Candle in the Wind - Eight Ton Jon and Chocolates in the Bin - try it on this link if you need to fill in a couple of mins.

waves to everyone else and sending lots of positive ovulation / SWI / 2WW vibes

Sparklywine · 04/01/2011 17:02

Two, Yellow? Is that actually possible, I thought it was a myth! Grin Just been on nipple-check, they're huge! Might be Christmas weight gain though. Can nipples gain weight? They've sort of spread, I need to tone them up somehow Confused

manamana · 04/01/2011 16:22

Thanks everyone. Yes, the tea worked a treat and I am planning on ploughing through some xmas chocolate now to help even more! I will have another meeting with my manager on Thurs, hopefully she will have something constructive to say otherwise I think I may need to start planning my departure pg or not.

Wombat, sorry to hear that you are having a rough time at work too. Glad dh is supportive, luckily mine is too, it makes a big difference.

Yes, the orgasm thing is true, I remember seeing a v interesting documentary when they filmed inside a woman while she was having sex (I know, I remember it causing quite a stir at the time!). It was amazing, the semen pools and when the woman orgasms the cervix actually dips down into the pool! Off to youtube!!!!

yellowtomato · 04/01/2011 14:31

Oh poor you mana glad you've found someone to put the kettle on. Was there biscuits? It's horrible to be in a job you hate. Big hugs coming your way.

sparkly maybe you could have 2, one before and one after? Grin
winter sorry that you are having a tough time at work as well. When you are miserable at work it is just so draining and not good for your health at all. Maybe you can put your energies into job hunting rather than just focusing on the resigning part. And then when you find the most perfect job you'll get your BFP too....and all will be right with the world.

I've started the weight loss programme well today, have been to pilates and zumba and had a healthy salad for lunch. But I'm starving I always diet well for the first 2 or 3 days and then I get too bored/hungry and it all goes horribly wrong!

Sparklywine · 04/01/2011 12:44

Hi mana, sorry to hear you've had a bad start to the working year, has the tea helped? Was there cake?
Gargh, I always make sure I have an orgasm first, the other way round and erection attention has most definitely subsided Grin Quite fancy a boy too....perhaps if I bicycle and do clenchy type exercises down below, to mimic the effect.....
I am not enjoying the 2ww, I've convinced myself I have all sorts of symptoms (weirdy large nipples, sensitivity to smells) but am not off coffee or wine, so I think I am making it up to suit! AF should be due next Monday so I can instigate my usual friday-treat test this week, with fingers crossed for an early postive, otherwise I will wait to be late! I know I'll be pretty disappointed to start my AF this month though, tough times ahead.
Happy new year to all though, looking forward to our journey; wonder who will be first with a BFP? Mixed blessings, you will get virtual hugs, and then a virtual pelting with rotten eggs for beating us to it!

MrsB33 · 04/01/2011 12:15

ahhh mana sending you a virtual (hug) works hard enough returning too after xmas without returning to post mc. Hope you feel better after you cuppa.
Wombat, barbadous, ignore my spelling its pants.... We got married abroad so didnt honeymoon, due to funds, so looking at reschedualling now.
We,re now also on the 2ww, hate waiting im not the most patient person, but the brown discharge sounds promising wombat, how far are you along post mc now?
Brought i know, two days in bed is terrible, im paying for it today, back to work and feeling very tired!!
yellow im also a victim of the extra kilos post mc, im blaming it on the hormones!! Im trying to get myself motivated to diet and exercise but its taking to much effort at the moment so maybe leave it till feb now... He he
Waves to everyone else, hope your all well.

winterwombatland · 04/01/2011 11:21

brought and yellow - I am also victim of extra kilos which is sooooo annoying. Totally with you on "deserving" the treat, my issue now is work is utter shyte and so the deserving thing is back again - hmmmm.... DH has said I can resign without another job to go to (he is as shocked as I am that they can be such misogynistic dinosaurs) and I am writing virtual resignation lettters and speeches in my head which doesn't make for a particularly productive wombat at work these days....

On other notes, I have also heard about the orgasm helping the little swimmers on their way - particularly if you want a boy apparently as the blue type swimmers don't have the same stamina as the pink type swimmers.

manamana · 04/01/2011 11:16

Have found someone who is in and has kettle on :-)

winterwombatland · 04/01/2011 11:14

Oh mana - so sorry to hear that. Sending big virtual hug with a huge virtual mug of tea and your fave biscuits. That's a tough day - back to work post Christmas, post MC and no progress on major things. It's no wonder you were so upset. Do give yourself some time to really recover. Hope you found someone to have that cuppa with. xx

manamana · 04/01/2011 11:05

Need a virtual hug from you all. First day back in office since everything happened. Was holding it together okish until catch up with manager. There had been no progress in 2 really major things in the month I've been away and both are v stressful. I cried a lot and told her how miserable I am in my job. She said she's v worried about me and told me to come home. Don't want to go home as nanny and ds are there so came to sainsburys! Gonna see if anyone is around for a cuppa.

broughthimroundtotheidea · 04/01/2011 08:44

Oh yellow I have put on just as much! it's so unfair give us a break bodies we have had a tough time!!!!! The weight watchers books are out here! Very jealous of the 2ww I dreampt about being pregnant again last night.
manamamma I am hoping I will go another 2 weeks before my AF that way we can start trying next month otherwise I will be in florida and potentially pregnant and I KNOW I won't go on any rides for fear of un sticking it! but leaving it another month after that takes it into christmas baby territory............decisions decisions.......what am I on about this is all assuming I am able to get PG at all!!!! I think too much.......
Winter Alas yes the 17 day holiday has come to an end today and it was ace!! fingers crossed it was implantation !!!
mrsb a 2 day hangover tut tut!!!! Wink fingers crossed the little swimmers have reached their destination!!

Waves to all xxxx

yellowtomato · 04/01/2011 08:31

hello ladies

I am very impressed with all the dedicated Swi and opk action......with this much focus how can we be anything but successful. I like the leg action technique but I've also heard that if you orgasm after him that helps to 'suck' them up. Makes sense if you think about it..so that's something else to add in, perhaps just before the cycling? Grin

I haven't used opk's because I found them to be quite unreliable. I'm been at this lark for more than 2 years now so I know when I ov without them. My cycle is a very regular 28 days and I usually ov 2 days after appearance of very noticeable EWCM. With the opks I sometimes found I got a 'no' in the morning and a yes in the afternoon and a no again the next morning so I kind of gave up on them.

kitkey I love your description of pre-seed but I reckon that the little swimmers get projected in the right direction and so within about 15 mins the 'good' ones will have got where then need to go. Or something!

So a number of us are now on the 2ww...let the symptom spotting begin! I have nothing to report so far but will keep you posted.

In other news I weighed myself at the gym and it is very bad news indeed. Since I was first pg this Sept I have put on 6 kilos Shock how is that possible? Ok so I slacked off the gym a bit and maybe ate a few more things because I 'deserved' a treat.....but 6 kilos???!! Diet and exercise time starting here with a vengeance.

winterwombatland · 04/01/2011 06:28

P.S. brought - has your marathon 17 day holiday come to an end yet...? If so, hope work isn't too much of a shock! x

winterwombatland · 04/01/2011 06:23

Morning all - hope those of you back to work aren't finding it toooo painful.

nurse - I am v impressed with your resisting the temptation to POAS and you are prob right about it being good to take a break from ttc.

kitkey - I will def try your tip of the cheapies followed by the digital test in the next month or so - the CB digi tests are the only OPKs available here but we are heading back to DH's home country of NZ in Feb so I'm hoping to pick some up there. Hope it was EWCM and that the every other day BD does the trick this month.

mrsb - good going on the 2 day hangover but great timing! Where are you planning for your honeymoon?

mana - glad to hear I can be inspiring! Are you on the 2WW now?

I had a bit of brown-ish EWCM this morning (sorry TMI) which is a bit odd but have been looking here on mn and it seems some people do get EWCM shortly before AF so perhaps AF is due or the really hopeful part of me wondered if it might be implantation bleeding
