Hi ive been posting on the miscarrage forum but now feel ready to start all over again!
My story, Had my first MMC in nov 2007, followed by an erpc (worst moment of my life) this was my first pregnancy and i felt robbed. Waited for two periods and got pg with my little DD in feb 2008, i had a great pg and birth but was on constant knicker alert. We decided when she was two we would like another baby to add to the familiy, we decided to try in sept this year and got pg first time! (very shocked) I was so hoping this would be my time to have a stress free pg and actually enjoy the experience! How wrong i was, i started to spot at six weeks had a scan which showed a sac but no baby, i then enjoured the worst two week of my life by having scan and blood tests. I was told on the 8th on nov the pregnany was not going to continue and i had a blighted ovum, and on the 9th i had a erpc. I have recovered well and stopped bleeding the day after the procedure. I went to see my doc last week who told me i could start ttc asap as long as i feel up to it?? anyone else ttc straight away, last time i was told to wait and i did but this time i have read that there is no lit to say wait apart from to date the pg?? Im hoping there are some people who can share there experiences and someone who wants to join me!

It would appear I have forgotten how to cut and paste.....excuse my stutter!

broughthimroundtotheidea · 08/01/2011 09:32

Hi Girls
Well mamamana I'm glad to help! Am totally with you on the wind after CS, it's so painful, I read up about how to avoid it before the MC as I would have to have another, and apparently eating live yoghurt as soon as you can afterwards cures it ......lets hope I/we are soon able to test this theory . Although for me the most painful part was when wound burst open again!
Its so difficult not to get excited about symptom spotting, I have told myself that I won't this time in order to self preserve but I know in my heart I will be. Hope the chinese helped.
sparkly sorry about the bfn, Its so difficult not to get excited about symptom spotting, I have told myself that I won't this time in order to self preserve but I know in my heart I will be. Hope the chinese helped.
As for what my husband would have thought if he caught me well I have no idea it is a funny scenario to play in your head tho!, and I havn't told him I did it!

Well as for me I'm still dithering about when to TTC, I got my sums wrong about starting after next AF as if by a stroke of luck I did fall PG straight away, the following AF would be due around a week before we go to Florida. That is assuming it goes back into my 28 day cycle. (I guess I will find out on the 12th!) babbling now.....
Later girls

Hello all. I left the worm shuffle page open when I went to bed on weds and dh read it, he was obviously inspired so thanks all!

Mrsb, glad to hear bowels are back to normal. It is excruciating isn't it. That was the most painful aspect of haven a cs for me, wind and constipation - ouch!

I did a test on Tuesday as I was miserable anyway and af hadn't turned up. It was neg but I wasn 't as crushed as I thought I'd be. Still not appeared, have decided to test again next tues morning if no af by then as I have a really horrible day full of meetings so if it's positive it'll make me smile and if not I'll be miserable anyway.

Yes sparkly, I know what you mean about threads where you all get excited about symptoms and then af appears. It's just sooooo infuriating that the symptoms are so often the same as those that come before af. Anyway, having said that today I have had s
Ots in front of my eyes which I had last time, mw said it could be hormone related.... But I also get it if I'm stressed and I am definitely stressed at work. Chinese tonight should help though.

Hope everyone has a good weekend, have fun symptom spotting.

MrsB33 · 07/01/2011 19:46

yellow thanks for the prune advise, had two strong laxitives which has only just shifted it tbh, must of been pretty clogged up!! Tmi.
Sparkly sorry bout the bfn, enjoy your wine tonight. Waves to everyone else. X

MrsB33 · 07/01/2011 19:42

hi ladies, been for a number two today and pains have all gone!! Feel terrible today, think ive got a cold or something coming that may explain my bouts of tiredness this week.
Last time i got pg,(1st time) i had implantion pains and a high temp the week b4 i got my bfp. Nothing yet....
So ever the pesamist, dont think its happened this month and very much expect a bfn this month, can test from thursday next week.... So will keep you updated.
I love the wornshuffle, im not going to tell my dh as he may get ideas!! Lol
really made me laugh out loud with all this naughty talk!! Lol x

Sparklywine · 07/01/2011 12:39

Welllll , symptoms you say....
Huge (but intermittent) nippleage
Bloating/constipation
Strange (but intermittent) pains below
Weariness
All good signs, however apart from the weird nipples it can all be put down to the season/crap diet/imminent period.
I've read too many threads now where someone's sudden aversion to cheese is taken as a fantastic sign, only for them to slink on a couple of days later to announce AF has arrived.
Also, I have not gone off coffee or wine like last time, and am not feeling at all queasy. Which, if I was pregnant, would worry me as I wasn't queasy last time either but that was because nothing was there! (I had a blighted ovum, so the cells didn't really develop. Hard to get one's head around, and scary to contemplate again).
AF due around Tuesday, and as I failed to do the worm-shuffle on Christmas Eve, I hold out little hope. This has now entered my everyday vocabulary, thanks Brought! Told DH and he was aghast. "What would she do if he woke up and found her on the floor with a dildo between her tits?" he charmingly exclaimed Grin

yellowtomato · 07/01/2011 10:21

Morning all

MrsB33 that sounds painful, have you tried dried prunes? Need to eat quite a few but always works in the end. And it could be a symptom as it was one of my first ones last time.

sparkly hope you enjoy your wine later....when is af due, is it Monday? Have you any symptoms to share with us?

star hmm that is quite a while now although they do say up to 8 weeks can still be classed as 'normal' but sounds like a good idea to test and see GP next week.

I had wine last night and will be having more today and probably tomorrow too! I've got a week before af so am making the most of it Grin

Sparklywine · 07/01/2011 09:09

How are the bowels this morning MrsB33? I don't know what the Kerry Katona thing is all about either, she is a bit of a car crash tragic figure so I'm sorry she was occupying your headspace.
On other news, I tested today and got a bfn, as expected really, so will be on t'wine tonight Grin

MrsB33 · 06/01/2011 22:19

Star82 · 06/01/2011 22:12

Yellow I have absolutely no idea, i've still not had a period yet. ERPC was 7 wks 4 days ago. Will do a test to double check i'm not pregnant next week before i go to the docs about it.

winterwombatland · 06/01/2011 16:49

Loving all the talk ladies! Just a quick one but had to suggest to brought - what about wormedhimroundtotheidea?!

broughthimroundtotheidea · 06/01/2011 16:31

Hi Ladies
Glad I have raised a smile with the worm story......think I may change my name! any worm related suggestions?

And yes yellow it was hard work ttc last time especially as we fell really easily the with DD and DS. And lets face it the hard work didn't pay off as we ended up MC anyway...... Am not going to let myself get so swept up this time with excitement now I am in the M/C club.

winter I too laughed at you smuggling Percy into the country, and it reminded me of when we went to Zante 3 years ago, I wanted to take Rog, and hubby said no, then when we got there they xrayed the cases in front of you and we had to open ours up to show them the cd player! DH would probably have divorced me if Rog had come along as they definately would have found him!

nurse I had clots with my last period where normally I don't aswell.

Star sorry I can't help with the whole flying thing except to say that if you did get PG now it would be meant to be and hols can easily be brought forward a couple of weeks if you did fall.

Sparklywine · 06/01/2011 16:24

Yellow, aren't you cute planning your 'reveal' outfit!

Yes, I am a little obsessed with testing but not for the pursuit of a positive result necessarily, though this is the goal. I find it a strangely comforting routine. I am aware this is a bit odd, and that the result will always be negative in all probability until after AF would have been due ie. next week; I am under no illusions. Maybe it helps mark time. Dunno. Anyway, I shall have my usual friday treat test tomorrow and keep you posted. They only cost about 40p each aswell so it is financially prudent Wink Thinking about it, I may also do this of a Friday to assuage any guilt felt at enjoying a bottle glass of wine or two over the weekend Grin

yellowtomato · 06/01/2011 15:34

oooh are you testing sparkly day 11 or 12 for you dpo? I would join you but at just 6 or 7 days dpo that would be silly. So...are you testing?

MrsB33 those pains are sounding very promising, a 'dragging' feeling is what I heard someone else describe it as.

brought i LOVE your worm technique.....and also very very impressed with dtd 5 nights in a row. I just don't think either of us would be able to manage that. You really have worked hard for your BFP. Much respect!

winter made me chuckle thinking of you being detained at customers with your special friend...that wouldn't have been funny at the time but would have made a great story! And how did you know they are illegal? Do they send out lists of illegal things for people planning to visit?

star where are you on your cycle? Seems a shame to waste the good stuff when it's the right time but sometimes it is just too much effort......except for brought who has a lot of stamina!

nurse don't really know what the clotting can mean but I know my periods were (and have remained) heavier after mc.

Ah wellie I'm sorry you got tearful...I think that is the hardest thing, letting go of all the plans that had been made. I think that is what made Xmas a bit harder cos we'd planned on telling the parents at that time and I'd imagined the whole scene..what I'd wear, what I'd say, reactions etc.

I don't know any preggo friends at the moment but have 2 v fertile ones trying for their second and I'd love to get in there first! Fingers crossed.

Sparklywine · 06/01/2011 13:42

Hugs Wellie, going back over now defunct plans can be really upsetting, like friends/work colleagues/complete strangers having a similar due date to the one you were meant to have. One of my work colleagues is quite obviously pregnant now and I meant to finally congratulate her today but the words stuck in my throat, so we talked about croutons. If she'd said she was due on my date I don't know what I would have done, so it was self-preservation really but she must think I am so rude!
Where are you emigrating, if you don't mind saying? How exciting!
Could fancy a holiday myself but a bit strapped unfortunately. Also had a fantasy of papoosing up the little one and sitting in a little Greek taverna eating olives, and that's not happening this year so am sulking! Smile
Anyone apart from me embarking on stupid early testing in the hope of a BFP? Come on, it can't just be me! Oh.....

wellieboots · 06/01/2011 13:08

Hi ladies, I looked into the flights thing when ttc as we are emigrating in a few weeks and wanted to know if we could come back here for a friend's wedding by which time if all had gone well I would have been about 30 weeks.

Very much depends on the airline - but usually they have one cutoff point for when they won't let you on board, and another for when they want a medical certificate to confirm how far along you are, and that you have a "normal" pg. I think for not letting you on board, most of them are around the 35/36 week mark, and for needing a doctor's cert it varies but is usually somewhere 28/30 weeks.

HTH (sorry got a bit Sad when telling you that I had planned it all out like that, but hope everyone else is going OK today.

Star82 · 05/01/2011 23:18

Just looked and it seems to vary on the airline. It's recommended not to fly after 36 weeks but some airlines don't take you after 28 weeks. They can deny you entry to board if they think you are further which is why a doctors note is suggested if flying later in your pregnancy :).
Gosh, I'm like a bus!!!

Star82 · 05/01/2011 23:13

nurse think you need a doctors note if on your return trip you will be either 28 or 32 weeks. Cant think what the cut off is and have both these in my head.

Star82 · 05/01/2011 23:08

Yellow, brought, you legends!! Haha!!! Funniest thing I've read in a long time. X
Am in bed but had to comment, brief as it is. I've not been so fortunate. Both kids had me up all night last night so managed a total of about an hours sleep....no joke. I just couldnt be arsed tonight so dh settled for a tommy tank :)!! Wonder if I could have saved the product and lazily self inseminated??!! Hmmmm..... That would be a good conception tale to tell.
Dd already been in once (post tommy tank, thank goodness) but got marched straight back to bed. Not sure how long that'll last. Could really do without a repeat of last nights antics as have a long drive to the capital fri evening :-/ night all!!!

MrsB33 · 05/01/2011 21:48

hi nurse, long time not speak, im planning a holiday for may time, so if i get pg this month i will be four months?? I thought to fly over 5 months you have to get docs approval. My sis lives in cyprus and she had to do this when returning home last yr, but that was cyprus so maybe different...
Ladies the pains are still there, really bothering me now as there when i sit down, like a dragging, pain on my lower left hand side??? Feel very tired too but not sure if thats because im back to my 6am starts apart from that no other symptoms to speak. Waves to all. X

nurse47 · 05/01/2011 21:36

I've just read I can fly up to 36 weeks??? Perhaps I don't have to take a month off after all?????
I flew at 24 weeks with DD, has anyone flown past 30 weeks??? Something else for me to google, would you ladies carry on TTC or leave it for a month, going to turkey on the 9th of july if I fall pg I would be 28 or 29 weeks can't quite work it out???

Well only one month off I've worked out, so not long to wait, anyone close to testing??? Any good symptoms looming?

Sorry for double post!
