Hi ive been posting on the miscarrage forum but now feel ready to start all over again!
My story, Had my first MMC in nov 2007, followed by an erpc (worst moment of my life) this was my first pregnancy and i felt robbed. Waited for two periods and got pg with my little DD in feb 2008, i had a great pg and birth but was on constant knicker alert. We decided when she was two we would like another baby to add to the familiy, we decided to try in sept this year and got pg first time! (very shocked) I was so hoping this would be my time to have a stress free pg and actually enjoy the experience! How wrong i was, i started to spot at six weeks had a scan which showed a sac but no baby, i then enjoured the worst two week of my life by having scan and blood tests. I was told on the 8th on nov the pregnany was not going to continue and i had a blighted ovum, and on the 9th i had a erpc. I have recovered well and stopped bleeding the day after the procedure. I went to see my doc last week who told me i could start ttc asap as long as i feel up to it?? anyone else ttc straight away, last time i was told to wait and i did but this time i have read that there is no lit to say wait apart from to date the pg?? Im hoping there are some people who can share there experiences and someone who wants to join me!

What's the nipple situation sparkly? any other symptoms?

Pjs sound lovely btw

Sparklywine · 11/01/2011 16:05

Wombat, I feel your pain! AF due today based on the cycle last month ie most unscientific, but no sign and already I'm thinking oooooh, shall I test tomorrow morning? Why? Ran out of cheapie tests aswell so it'll be one of the vastly overpriced treat ones.
You ok though? I'm not too bad with bfn's but only because I test almost daily with some frequency Grin
Hi Lexie, I had a blighted ovum too, sorry you have gone through this. There seems to be no such thing as normal re AF returning but I'd get any pain checked out if it feels unusual.

On a more cheering note, just been online and bought some lovely pyjamas in the Hush sale, they come highly recommended and I've got them big enough for a pizza belly bump so am feeling happy and nesty.
Will not test. Will not test.

yellowtomato · 11/01/2011 16:04

Oh wombat it's horrid to see the bfn isn't it? How regular is your af normally? Testing the day af is due isn't really considered early......I don't think I'd be able to resist either. You're not a fool either, just keen like we all are to get pg again.....

I don't have any tests in the house to protect me from early testing....but I've got past this before by nipping to the shop! It only delays things by a few hours.

Who else was meant to be testing today? come on girls, we need updates!

Lexie Sorry I don't have anything helpful to add, I had a period 5 weeks after ERPC which was normal if slightly heavier and think I ovulated this month. My next period is due this Friday so we'll see what happens next. Sorry that you are suffering and hope GP finds something useful.

winterwombatland · 11/01/2011 15:30

Gaaaaah.... I'm such a fool.... Think AF was due today or yesterday so as nothing has appeared so far, decided to POAS this afternoon and of course a BFN despite tilting several different ways under different light.... it was a Boots one so don't think it can count as a "cheapie" either - gaaaaaah!

Repeat after me wombat, do not succumb to early testing, do not succumb to early testing....

manamana · 10/01/2011 19:17

Lexie, really sorry to hear your experience. Stomach ache sounds horrible and must be worrying, when do you get the results back?

Hooray for the name change worm shuffler Grin

winterwombatland · 10/01/2011 17:54

Ha ha - love the change of name wormshuffler Grin

Lexie - sorry you have found yourself on here and glad that all our talk of wormshuffling etc. hasn't put you off.

Re: your question - I am back to "normal" I think but have just had one period since ERPC 14th Nov. Have you had any more since your 11th Nov one? If so, that is a good sign. If not, then I can certainly appreciate your cause for concern. Did they take any bloods to check your HCG levels? It is possible (but unlikely) that not all the tissue was removed during the ERPC. Was your tummy ache more digestional or gynaecological IYKWIM? If you haven't had a period since your one on 14th Nov and all other tests come back clear, I would ask for referral, but they may say to wait a few more weeks to see if period does appear. Good luck and please do keep us posted on how you get on. Thinking of you x

Wormshuffler · 10/01/2011 17:04

Hi Lexie1970
Sorry you found yourself here and welcome. With you having a very light bleed after ERPC I was just wondering if they gave you a really good clean out and it is taking a bit of time for your lining to get back up to speed? This could be good for future conceptions with a nice fresh lining for a sticky bean to attatch....fingers crossed for you.

Ok so I have done the name change, loving how you (and your DH's) are all entertained by my madness....

yellow If my calculations are correct I should be on the 2WW whilst in Florida thankfully as TTC while sharing a room with an 11 year old is not fun and worm shuffling out of the question!......so Florence for a girl Orlando for a boy! Love how you "have your eye on sparklys nips)

I notice that the Beckhams are PG again....that will be her forth CS! which is not recommended. I was PG with DD and DS at the same time as her with her first 2 and would have been again had I not had the MC freaky hey?

How are the Nips now sparkly? any other syptoms?

I once had a 2 week holiday with the inlaws wombat NEVER AGAIN!!!! they were so embarassing! Loud, obnoxious, arguining with each other really loudly while we were in the next room.

Hope the thought of worm shuffling got you through the meeting ok mamanana

xxxx

Lexie1970 · 10/01/2011 16:12

Hi,

I have been lurking since I suffered a blighted ovum back in September. As with all of you it was not the best day of the year but I am eternally grateful for my son who is 4 in March.

We found out at the 12 week scan and had the procedure 2 days later. I had next to no bleeding after ERPC and had a very light, almost non-existent bleed about 6 weeks after that. 11th November I had what I class as my proper period and then we started ttc. I had some pregnancy symptoms and to date had done 5 HPTs - all negative{confused) and then this morning had the worst tummy ache which meant a trip to docs. He has taken some swabs to check for infection, ruled out uti and also did pregnancy test which was negative as well.

Has anybody else had this or are your periods all back to normal?

BTW - ERPC was 17th September

TIA

Lex x

winterwombatland · 10/01/2011 15:45

Doh! Silly me mana - yours makes much more sense and Douglas is quite nice... hmmm... Disney wormshuffle thinking hat on! Hope you managed your meeting without sniggering too much!

sparkly - thanks for the info on the juice - hmmmm, not sure I can really stomach that much and so will hunt down the pre-seed in NZ (assuming of course there's no BFP before then Hmm )

Jaune Tomate - merci for the info on the French translation - perhaps we stick with le wormshuffle for now! As for the families, it's funny how I used to think mine was quite normal but since moving here and getting some emotional distance, perhaps they're not after all - mum can be blunt to the point it makes you gasp and dad is forever asking every question about everything! MIL can be a little testing too, but that's mostly what in-laws are right?!

manamana · 10/01/2011 14:25

Cross-posted with you yellow and am just about to dial into a meeting, all I am going to be able to think of it's worm shuffling.... V v v funny

manamana · 10/01/2011 14:23

Ha ha wombat, sorry I wasn't clear...

Meant naming the child after location of conception a la Brookly Beckaham! Was thinking Douglas for nz and Orlando for Florida ;-). Your take on it was much more amusing though, a Disney type name for the worm shuffle, answers on a postcard please....

yellowtomato · 10/01/2011 14:22

well wombat there isn't really a good french work for shuffle. For eg to shuffle along translates as 'avancer avec un pas trainant' which has the word 'pas' in there which means 'step' or you've got shuffle ones feet 'trainer les pieds' So they don't really have the concept of shuffling on ones bum!

hmm ok after further research we've got 'to worm oneself along/down/across etc which would be 'avancer/descendre/traverser a plat ventre/en rempant.

So let's see, 'le traverse en rempant' so not really using the word worm as such which would be 'ver' Please feel free to make up your own!

sparkly that is a lot of juice...I think pre-seed is the better option for the lazy! I've still got my fingers crossed for you.....I hate those bfn, I've not got any sticks in the house and plan to keep it that way cos the lack on line really depresses me. Also looking through MN before there was someone who wondered if you should apply the grapefruit juice erm....locally as if it were yoghurt for thrush! tee hee

wombat Oooh you'll def have to keep up posted about tense times with families. Mine are nuts so love hearing about other peoples. And if gets too much I'll try out some of my counselling skills on you!

Sparklywine · 10/01/2011 12:38

Hey wombat, been conducting some MN research and the following, utterly non-scientific advice is given;
Grapefruit juice - must be pure, not made from concentrate. Consume from end of AF up to OV. This will assist with topnotch EWCM.
Brazil nuts may also do some good, how was never made clear.
Pineapple juice - again pure, consume from OV onwards, it is meant to assist with implantation.
A pint glass a day seems to be the norm, if you can stomach it. Vodka optional Grin
If nothing else we will be getting our 5-a-day.

winterwombatland · 10/01/2011 12:22

mana - you have piqued my interest for wormshuffling names while abroad. Presumbably in France ( yellow - can you confirm please?) it would be le shuffle a la maggot? and who could be the first to join the milehighwormshuffle club?! Oooh the possibilities are endless - brought - what have you started?! Grin

Found your post of "I've got my eye on sparkly's nipples.......well not literally you understand but they sound very promising." very amusing yellow - who would have thought you would ever write a sentence like that Grin

sparkly - can you remind me - is it supposed to be pineapple pre ov and grapefruit post ov....? Thanks.

ballooning landings can be a bit scary but I'm prepared for them now, especially as our friend has years of experience. Would highly recommend the experience to anyone.

Yep - 2 weeks might be a bit much as we'll be with them pretty much the whole time. I adore my parents but that much time in quite close quarters will be testing. Oh and MIL is joining us for 5 days of our south island tour - could be a tense few days.....!

Sparklywine · 10/01/2011 11:59

Wombat, you have such a jetset life, I am so boring! We've no holiday at all planned for this year, what with being skint financially-challenged, and TTC. I'm holding out for my Greek island avec papoose! I love NZ, once spent 9 months travelling around on my own and have been back since with DH on a round the world trip. Correction, I wasn't always so boring! Grin
Had a bfn with an amazon stick this morning, and though part of me is thinking well, it's cheap, of course it won't work, all signs are for AF arriving tomorrow. No bad thing perhaps as drinkies got a tad out of hand on Friday night and I spent all of Saturday recovering. Poor pickled bean! Thanks for keeping my nipples in mind yellow, they had a day of weirdness but maybe they always have and I just don't notice! I'm going to take things more seriously this month and stockpile the grapefruit and pineapple juice, they are meant to create a hospitable, sociable environment in which sperm will meet egg and decide to remain chatting for a few months!
You're right though, someone will get a bfp soon; I logged on this weekend hoping for some good news, we need a boost! All this worming cannot be in vain!

yellowtomato · 10/01/2011 11:28

I'm sure someone will get a bfp this month....we def deserve it, we've all be working so hard at it. I've got my eye on sparkly's nipples.......well not literally you understand but they sound very promising.

I went on a balloon trip once but we had a crash landing at speed and was quite scary. Well it is good up until the crash landing part..Grin nobody was hurt but we were all shaken and it could easily have been a lot worse.

Sound like you'll have a lot of family time in NZ wombat do you get on with them ok or will 2 weeks seem a bit long? I look forward to hearing your 'fitting it in where you can' antics, remember nothing is tmi here!

manamana mine is usually exactly 28 days too but was just over 5 weeks after ERPC.....so you could be due any day now...unless you've got a bfp.....? Are you still going to test again tomorrow?

manamana · 10/01/2011 11:03

Yay, more posts to read :-) I was missing you all!

Wow, brought, good that everything so regular re af although obviously disappointing that it's here at all. I haven't had an af since erpc on 7th dec and I read somewhere in the many many bits of info I have digested that you can take that as first day of period so af should have been Tuesday 4th as I am mrs regular but 28 days. But also I know that it can take a while to get everything back to normal so who knows...

Very jealous of lovely sounding trips to Florida and nz, would love some warmth at the moment! Good timing too that worm shuffling will be happening abroad - plenty of potential for amusing names.

Wow, wombat, hot air balloon sounds fun, I've never done it - is it scary? What cool friends to have!

Yellow, fingers x for Friday.

winterwombatland · 10/01/2011 09:22

brought - seriously impressed with your saturday AF arrival - talk about your body being disciplined! Sorry that it arrived at all though. In the world of ying and yang, a negative bank balance should mean you get a positive somewhere else.... we shall see!

Aw thanks yellow Smile - I'll have the blackberry with me so will be popping on to see how you're all getting on. I think I've been so pre-occupied with MC, TTC and crappy work that I've kind of forgotten about NZ trip. DH is a Kiwi so it will be a lot of visiting friends / rellies plus my parents are joining us for 2 weeks Hmm to see the country and to meet the other in-laws- not too many chances for romantic wormshuffling or otherwise but we'll take our chances where we can, particularly around ov time! Hope your DP isn't there at your time.... If it is and I bump into him, I shall send him packing home Grin

According to the rules / statistics, I wonder what the chances are of one of us getting a BFP this month....? Shall we start a sweep? I reckon we'll get one before the end of the month. Any other bets?

yellowtomato · 10/01/2011 08:51

Morning all

broughthim well I guess at least it is good to have your body back to normal? So does that mean you'll be ovulating/worm shuffling whilst in Florida?

This 2ww is v dull isn't it? I am due Fri or Sat and have no symptoms at all. Though same as wombat I didn't really have pg symptoms last time or get af symptoms so doesn't really mean anything really. Although I am pretending to be cool about it all I know I am secretly really desperate to get a BFP...I think that there will be tears at the end of the week.

wombat a 3 week trip to NZ sounds fab..but what will we do without you for 3 weeks? Hopefully they've got the internet over there? Wink My DP may be off on a business trip down in that region for a couple of weeks in Feb.....it'd better not be during my fertile time, that's all I'm saying!

And I'll be on here non-stop waiting to hear regarding af appearance....

When are you due manamana? And sparkly it's Tuesday for you isn't it?

come on ladies let's set a bfp trend ready for me to catch the wave on Friday!

broughthimroundtotheidea · 10/01/2011 07:48

Morning Ladies.
Well AF arrived on saturday morning which is only 26 days since last one , but dead on with where I always used to be, so my body has got right back to where on track as if it never happened Shock. This means another month off TTC for me as to avoid being PG in florida. If I have worked it out correctly I should be due for the following AF on the day we come back! So fingers crossed I return with a BFP to go with my poor bank account.
Everything crossed for you mrsband mamamana and wombat
xxxx

winterwombatland · 10/01/2011 04:04

Hi all - sorry to have gone west for a while. Pretty busy weekend, including amazing hot air balloon ride (nice to have friends who have their own!)

In other news, AF is due today / tomorrow, but absolutely no symptoms for me so not getting in the slightest bit excited. I tend not to have any symptoms pre AF either so nothing to get confused with either. The only thing I could count for symptom spotting is being v hungry when I wake up which has been a symptom during last 2 pgs, but I think this time it's because I'm having smaller portions for dinner in vague attempt to shift the xmas kgs..... It has also dawned on me that our 3 week trip to NZ starts on 2nd Feb so perhaps it's a good thing.... as it also means the next 2WW will be there so plenty to distract me....

star - any news from you? Are you planning to see doc this week if you get a negative?

brought - big ouch re: wound bursting open! Are you going to change your nickname to wormshuffle - I hope you do!

mana -when is DH due home from trip?

mrsb - sorry to hear re the constipation - it's v annoying not to mention uncomfortable. Are you drinking lots and lots?

sparkly - any update on the intermittent nippleage?

yellow - trust you enjoyed your vino at the weekend.

waves to everyone else and wishing you all a pleasant Monday!

MrsB33 · 09/01/2011 23:01

hi mana, ive been lurking as nothing intersting to add, im amist the 2 week wait!! Boring ell.... Cant even be bothing with swi, much to dh,s disappointment!!! His now nicknamed me user.
I can test on thursday even though af not due till the 18th according to fertility friend?? Feels too early for me.
Mana, when was your af due??
Just an update on the water works front, still constipated, all very strange, but no pg symptoms to speak about.
Nyt all catch up soon, am knackered been decorating the lounge the weekend. X

manamana · 09/01/2011 21:54

Very quiet weekend on here, hope everyone's ok. All good here, still no af, have decided not to test until dh home from trip. No other real symptoms so who knows what's going on in there!

broughthimroundtotheidea · 09/01/2011 12:49

Oh I survived and went back for more with DS with no problems.

manamana · 08/01/2011 12:37

Goodness, wound bursting open, that can't have been much fun! Good to see it hasn't put you off :-)
