Hi ive been posting on the miscarrage forum but now feel ready to start all over again!
My story, Had my first MMC in nov 2007, followed by an erpc (worst moment of my life) this was my first pregnancy and i felt robbed. Waited for two periods and got pg with my little DD in feb 2008, i had a great pg and birth but was on constant knicker alert. We decided when she was two we would like another baby to add to the familiy, we decided to try in sept this year and got pg first time! (very shocked) I was so hoping this would be my time to have a stress free pg and actually enjoy the experience! How wrong i was, i started to spot at six weeks had a scan which showed a sac but no baby, i then enjoured the worst two week of my life by having scan and blood tests. I was told on the 8th on nov the pregnany was not going to continue and i had a blighted ovum, and on the 9th i had a erpc. I have recovered well and stopped bleeding the day after the procedure. I went to see my doc last week who told me i could start ttc asap as long as i feel up to it?? anyone else ttc straight away, last time i was told to wait and i did but this time i have read that there is no lit to say wait apart from to date the pg?? Im hoping there are some people who can share there experiences and someone who wants to join me!

No spotting since yesterday pm. Not sure if I am over seeing this spotting as I have become a bit obsessed with checking cm and check it internally every day using a tissue (TMI). Literally three spots of this blood have made it to my pants and I have only seen it on internal inspection mixed in with the CM. DH jokes that surely if I poke about that much I must be getting the blood from my wisdom tooth extraction!?

I'm not doing any more POAS until Thursday. Hmm

I am feeling very hormonal and emotional - yesterday I had both my kids in the double buggy in a lift and a pregnant woman with say a 2 year old started talking to me and rubbing her bump, telling me how she is going to get the same buggy as me. The bump rubbing went on and on. I'm sure she didn't think why I would be a bit Sad and Envy as I had my 2 young lovely boys with me but I was. As I work on cancer unit treating young people and because I got told I had PCOS (?) 12 years ago I have always been very aware of how difficult others find pregnancy to witness. That said I am very lucky to have 2 children and should just look at 3 as a bonus. But I WANT

Sounds like you are all having a tough time, it is so frustrating when you are doing everything right and your bodies arnt playing ball.

I am very jealous of what you have been up to today wombat I have spent pretty much the whole day on the internet reading various different forums and totally wasting my time and thinking too much. I even found myself reading up about breast feeding!! I need to get a grip I am not even SWI!!!I did find this thread :-

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/legal_matters/1113418-Adoption-fostering-and-a-bit-complex

which is astounding! if you have half an hour to spare, poor woman is amazing!!

DD is now 11 so spending more and more time in her room. And DS is taking all day to write one page of homework whilst daydreaming about what he would sooner be doing!
One of my facebook friends posted this on her facebook today....."has seen her baby boys face, he's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen and has perfect rosebud lips! I'm even more excited now, can't wait to hold him :-) XXX" after going for a 4d scan, I am so jealous!!!
Tomorrow I am going to take the kids swimming and out for lunch, DH is away at work. I always go stupid and maudling.

laters xxxxx

wombatinwaiting · 15/01/2011 17:26

winterwombatland here - have just name changed as this is what I seem to be doing for most of my time these days!

winterwombatland · 15/01/2011 17:23

kitkey - sorry to hear that you are feeling so anxious and frustrated and not surprising. I second what yellow has said about seeing doc as soon as AF arrives - at least you will feel as if you're doing something about it, even if they say just to give it another month. I think it really can take our bodies a while to get back into their strides.... Thinking of you x

yellow - clutching at straws for you too and keeping fingers crossed. Would love to see your axl performance sometime! If I searched for yellow tomato axl rose on youtube, would I find it?!! Grin Did you make it to the gym today? I had an extraordinarily active day - 8k run this morning (beauuuutiful weather for it) and then squash (unplanned before run) this afternoon with our great mates who also cooked up a gorgeous stew which we don't get too eat too often here as it's usually too darn hot!

So, still no sign of AF so did another test today which was a BFN although I was tilting it back and forth for quite a few mins as I thought I could see a bit of a line but only at the bottom of the window. Snapped it in half after a while for being so pathetic! I think I'll wait another week before going to doc. The frustrating thing is that we haven't even been able to SWI as thrush can be passed on during sex - agh! I'm pleased to say that it definitely seems to be calming down so hopefully we can get going again in a couple of days, but sod's law, DH off on a 2 night conference mon and tues night - grrr....

Hope everyone else is having a stress-free weekend! x

yellowtomato · 15/01/2011 10:13

morning ladies

first sorry for the self obsessed post yesterday, I was on my phone so couldn't write much and just felt so depressed/frustrated when I realised I had more days of this agonising to go. wombat I kind of feel a bit tender and achy in the area which is a normal sign for me that af is on it's way although I am still clutching tightly to straws.

kitkey I'm really sorry I have absolutely no idea. i would go to see the doctor as soon as you get your af just because the stress and worry is not good for you and hopefully the doctor can either put your mind at rest or set you on a course of action. I've still got my fingers crossed for you

manamana glad the sickness is not too bad but I can understand you feeling fragile as just over 5 weeks is no time at all. We're all here to hold your hand so talk to us!

worm don't you dare go anywhere! We're all in this together, I'm sure many of us will still be trying by the time you join us!

sparkly I don't think you're evil at all re mushrooms, I would just put them in anyway and the person can pick them out!

mrsB33 when are you going to test again?

wombat so you must be 6 days late now, how annoying with the thrush and everything. Hope mine doesn't mess me around like that! Glad the party was good, i love a bit of air guitar but i'm more of a guns and roses specialist. At one Xmas party I did an Axl perfomance with tatoos and everything. And there is a video to prove it! Blush It is horrid for people when they go to the effort of planning a party and people don't turn up, it happens in London a lot....I think people think oh it's fine everyone else will be there.......just rude really! (one of my pet hates, can you tell?) Grin

such a grey and miserable day here today, think I will go to the gym and then have nap!

kitkey · 15/01/2011 09:17

Any advice ladies about what I should do about my screwed up body. (will post on the board too)

Last month if you remember I was really stressed about having something wrong with me as before I got my AF on 22 December I had light spotting starting about 9 days before. I had been doing ovulation tests and this was 4/5 dpo (smiley face). I had blood done 7 dpo and the progesterone level was 36.1 -so normal. I put it down to first cycle post ERPC and was pleased that I had a heavish period to clear out and continued ttc

Well the same spotting has happened exactly the same time post ovulation 4/5dpo - today I am 9dpo and still have some spotting and if it is like last month it will continue until AF on Wed. I have done a first response test yesterday and am not pregnant.

Shall I go to the Drs once AF has finished and explain the above or should I be brave and give it one more cycle and see if the spotting comes again and do some sneaky bloods at work

Arghhhh - so frustrated - the mmc was one thing but to have totally messed up your body is another.

winterwombatland · 15/01/2011 04:21

Aw yellow - sorry to hear that. Any chance the rumbling signs are a symptom of something else.....?

Anyone with any other AF updates or otherwise? Still nothing here - thanks for your sympathies mana and glad to hear that things are sinking in a bit for you - when are you planning to your digi test? I think you said you'd wait for that before making appt with docs.....

Had a nice time at the 70s party but felt a bit sorry for the hosts as loads of people didn't come who said they would. They'd sourced some superb music though and so there was lots of dancing - they even supplied tennis rackets for air guitar solos - you should have seen my rendition of INXS' New Sensation.... Hmm - note to self, don't apply for the next series of X Factor just yet....!

manamana · 14/01/2011 23:35

Kitkey, good riddance to the tooth. So sorry about the bfn.

Sparkly, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, menu sounds delicious. I'm afraid my efforts at food when I have friends round usually go for a big pot of spaghetti boll or chilli!

Wormshuffler, you definitely belong here. We're a gang now and need to stick together. I definitely need everyone's support. Think it's sunk in now and all I can think of is the two days of scan and erpc, doesn't help that I am counting weeks from erpc to guess how pg I am- about 5 and a half, really not that long ago...

Womat, really feeling for you with thrush. Am imagining some kind of shuffle as you were walking the dog, ouch, less pleasurable than the worm variety.

Sickness not bad at all and definitely not constant but guess it's early for proper symptoms.

Good luck everyone with af due. Fingers x

yellowtomato · 14/01/2011 17:46

Hmmm, just realised I ovulated late this month so not really due af until Sunday or Monday anyway. Boo sucks, the agony continues. I think I've got rumbling signs it is on it's way :(

winterwombatland · 14/01/2011 15:23

Hello from a grumbling stomach wombat because of sparkly - amazing menu and agree with lemon posset. Also, I find beef b even better when heated up the day after it's first made. Let us know how it goes. kitkey - what a genius idea re: making it into a team building exercise at work. I love CDWM - some of the characters are brilliant and the narrator is so funny. We are thinking of doing Come Wine with Me - laying on a wine tasting night with entertainment. You get scored on selection of wines, the accompanying canapes and entertainment..... haven't got around to actually implement it yet though!

Sorry about your bfn kitkey - it's hardest the first time post MC I think as it brings back all sorts of negative thoughts. It really is still early though and you could still get a bfp despite your previous early positives. Glad the tooth is out and you are pain free again.

Sorry also for your -ve mrsb - enjoy the vin rouge.

wormshuffler - not a gatecrasher at all - your support is fab and we wouldn't have had half as much fun learning about wormshuffling and rogers/percys etc without you!

yellow - not crazy at all hanging onto hope. Please let us know re: af arrival or no.

Has anyone heard from star of late? - I remember she was anxious about non arrival of af. Hello star if you're lurking.

mana - thanks for updates. Hope the sickness isn't too bad. Please keep checking in and spreading the dust!

As for me, still no arrival of AF, still not got rid of the thrush. It definitely died down for a bit last night / this morning and I thought it was on its way out but had a resurgence while walking the dog this afternoon -grr...... will be difficult to get to docs sun/mon as we have our management conference both days and one evening. Might take up sparkly's idea of taking a pic of the bird to the pharmacist! Really don't have any PG symptoms at all and now 5 days late. No AF symptoms either so v frustrating. sparkly - thanks for research on thrust / thrush Grin - will be out in search of teatree oil tomorrow if no sign of AF.

In other news, races last night were great fun - here in Dubai, betting is illegal yet they are great horse race lovers Confused - however, we made our own bets / sweepstakes and we seem to have come away with about 30 quid more than we went with! A late night and feeling rather jaded today added to which we are due at a 70s fancy dress party tonight! We're not usually this social - not sure what's happened of late, but all good fun.

What's everyone else up to this weekend?

Sparklywine · 14/01/2011 14:25

"..pondered if it would actually fit" Grin

Wormshuffler · 14/01/2011 13:38

Hi Girls
Sorry about all the BFN's fingers crossed that it's just too early , fingers crossed .I feel a bit of a getecrasher now being in this group when we are not "actively trying" for another 4 weeks.

sparkly love your menu, except the pea thing but then again I'm a fuss pot! None of my friends cook and Ide love to do one but would prob get beans on toast from them! and yes Roger was purchased on line and as a surprise from my hubby who was working away at the time.........a postcard came through so I had to collect it...at this point not knowing what it was. Then he told me to open it when he rang later I was well shocked! then it sat there for a while while I pondered it if would actually fit...

I got my tests from aldi last time but am really gonna try not to test early and disappoint myself especially as I am so regular. (remind me of this in 7 weeks time girls)

Sparklywine · 14/01/2011 11:26

Ooh, yellow, I love a tagine! Considered this for my CDWM menu but my picky conservative friends bar one will not eat olives, so I've no chance of slipping a preserved lemon past them either. One of them doesn't like mushrooms but I've checked she's not making it up allergic and as she's not I'm just going to puree them into the bourguignon, she'll never know!
Thanks for the affirmation for the lemon posset, I'm going to practice this weekend, and try to make as much as I can in advance so I can enjoy the booze ambience.
I got my cheapie pregnancy sticks from Amazon so the small package just had their generic labelling. DH says that Poundland do some, I am being a crashing snob and thinking I can't do it, there are some real chavs characters where I live, and I don't want to be fending off some scrunchied teen for the last packet Grin T'interweb is the way.

MrsB33 · 14/01/2011 11:11

kitkey, same here bfn on the first response today, im due on tuesday so think the result is correct!! Yet another month of ttc and more swi.....
Positive points-can drink that whole bottle of red tonight!!
Sparkly that sounds amazing!! A little too posh for my friends though!
Yellow, internet cheapies came in a white padded envelope, so no snooping neighboures can guess...
Good luck today, fingers crossed we get another bfp, we need it, this now has to be the lucky thread!!

kitkey · 14/01/2011 11:10

Yellow They come in a jiffy envelope normally and don't have an labels on indicating what they are - I think that you are safe to order secretly.

Sparkly The menu sounds delicious. We did cdwm as a team building exercise from work - it was great - except it was a surprise and we only had 30 mins to decide menu before bosses took shopping list and went to get shopping whilst we all got tipsy. So a) the menu was a bit rushed and b) the cooking was a bit haphazard. A good day though.

I don't hold out any hope so I wish I hadn't tested as at least I could have clung on to the hope until Wed.

*First Response detects the pregnancy hormone 6 days earlier than the day of your missed period (5 days before day of expected period). The amount of pregnancy hormone increases as pregnancy progresses.
In clinical testing, First Response detected hormone levels consistent with pregnancy in 62% of women 5 days before their expected period, in 78% of women 4 days before their expected period, in 87% of women 3 days before their expected period and in 98% of women 2 days before their expected period.

Trying to make myself feel better - Am I 5 days before period or 6? It is due on Wed so
fri,sat,sun,mon,tue, wed - 6 days earlier or
fri,sat,sun,mon,tues - 5 days??

anyway either way it sucks that I am in the minority. Damn.

yellowtomato · 14/01/2011 10:32

PS and I forgot to ask you ladies who have bought internet cheapies, does it say anything about what the product is on the outer packaging? I live in a flat and know my neighbours and wouldn't want them to see what I've ordered.

yellowtomato · 14/01/2011 09:50

Morning all

kitkey really sorry to hear about the bfn....I guess it was still early so maybe there is still a bit of hope? It is so frustrating when you are doing all the right things and it still doesn't work. I think that there is a statistic that each month even if you do everything right you've only got a 25% chance of it working. Or something. it is really hard to be brave, i am due af today, haven't testing but am feeling a bit crampy so think it's def on it's way, just a matter of time. but at the same time I'm still clinging on to hope......it's crazy isn't it?

I'm glad your tooth situation is fixed, that must be such a relief.

worm that does sound like a painful conference, is the bright side that they only happen once a year?

oooh sparkly that sounds delicious. Boeuf bourguignon is one of my favourite dishes and the scallops sound great too. i think your sister is right about the chocolate mousse but the lemon.....yum yum. Making me feel very jealous....I'm having people over for dinner in a couple of weeks and have only got as far as thinking about doing a tagine thing, I think i need to up my game!

wombat any sign of af?

I really hope mine doesn't arrive today but feel sure it will. If it does I'll have loads of wine later....but if it doesn't I might have wine anyway cos it could just be late......

Sparklywine · 14/01/2011 09:05

I love CDME too! Funnily enough, some friends from work and I take turns to host, and it's my turn next Friday! Check out the proposed menu ladies, thoughts welcome;

A selection of canapes (they are ravenous as soon as they arrive through the door, one to the point of fainting )
Sparkly wine (of course) with edible hisbiscus flowers (bit gimmicky but look fun!)

Starter
Pan-fried scallops with pea & mint puree, winter salad, balsamic jus (ie balsamic used sparingly Grin) and fried chorizo pieces

Main
Boeuf bourguignon (original Julia Childs recipe - bon appetit!)

Dessert
Lemon posset with brandy snap tuiles (tuiles being posh for biscuits with holes in)

Whad'ya think? Quite fancied making a chocolate mousse but sis thought it might be a bit heavy, and the lemon would refresh the palate so's to speak.
We'll all be trollyed by then anyway so no-one will remember it Grin

Sorry about your bfn kitkey, I hope you bounce back; it's hard to credit why, when you feel you're doing everything right, but nature works in mysterious ways (one only has to watch Jeremy Kyle to see this!)

kitkey · 14/01/2011 08:49

I had the tooth out yesterday asI was going insane with the pain - the filling was rubbing on the nerve. Such a relief.
BFN on first response today - I am due AF on Wednesday so it should have been positive 5 days early - I always test positive really early. Had some spotting this week just like last month so think something is a miss. Have not taken the BFN at all well. Wish I was braver. I SWI the 2 nights before my smiley face on the digital test, the night of and the night after. Not to mention every other night the week before.

Good luck to all the others testing in the near future - I think a few more of us are coming up for testing

manamana · 13/01/2011 20:29

Oh worm I feel your pain. My big conference is in June so thought I'd escaped, had a meeting to talk about it today and I was just sulking cos I wasn't supposed to be there!
You really can't beat come dine with me - got into it while on ml with ds2, plenty of hours spent breastfeeding while watching the wonder of people cooking and being rude to each other!
All being well, due date would be mid sept, feels comforting cos was same for ds1. Another day ticked off and I actually felt a bit sick this afternoon so somethign's happening.

Wormshuffler · 13/01/2011 20:06

Hi girls
I have nothing interesting to say, have been away on a conference, and if it was possible to be bored to death I so would be dead tonight! Please let me get PG so I don't have to suffer another one next year!

manamama I love come dine with me..........I currently have 40 on my sky box to watch which is feeling a bit like a weight on my shoulders! I know you are trying to curtail your excitement but all being well when would you be due? (ish)

Wombat Do u feel like AF is coming? seems odd that it's not arrived...... could the test be too early?

Thrush and tooth ache........... sending virtual natural yoghurt and Ibuprofen in your directions!

manamana · 13/01/2011 19:24

Wellie, did you say where you are emigrating too, very exciting.

Thrush - ouch, I've only ever had it once and feeeeeeel your pain with the itching. Hope you get it under control asap and that you don't have to resort to sign language again!

And tooth issues too, lots of pain at the moment! Hope that goes too. Like wombats idea of medicinal relief, crack open the vino.

Mrsb, good luck waiting, its so hard. There was a very heart felt thread on here about why not to test early which made a lot of sense, but v tempting when the packet promises you that they can give you happy news.

Nurse - hope work calms down soon.

Yellow - glad you've got results back, hope they say something helpful. Good luck with trying to manage all the conflicting emotions, especially with the hormones thrown in!

Wombat, hope you had a win at the races - which racecourse? Sparkly, your evening sounds more like mine! Am having leftover Xmas dinner from the freezer cos dh is away and I can't be bothered to cook. Then have to go through a pile of paperwork... So am watching come dine with me and mums netting instead!

Good luck to any testers x

Sparklywine · 13/01/2011 10:04

More exotic social whirling wombat, you are living the life! I've got Tesco to look forward to later, then I will need to put a wash on. Maybe two. Yawn.
Sorry about the BFN, very frustrating when AF is late too. There is still a teensy chance....
I did a bit of research on thrust Grin for you last night, and someone dipped a mini tampon in teatree oil and popped that in, the antiseptic properties were of some relief. A thought, and may save some embarrassing mime actions down the local pharmacy. Alternatively take in a picture of a small bird and point to 'down there', making itching motions.
Had too much wine last night but my my, it was delicious!

winterwombatland · 13/01/2011 09:53

Thanks yellow - stoic on the outside, but inside secretly whispering that there could still be a BFP around the corner - yeah right! Thrush seems to have calmed down a bit, but yes, will def schedule docs visit if it flares up again in the next couple of days.

Am impressed with your resolve re: no testing - here's keeping fingers and toes crossed that AF doesn't arrive and for all the right reasons too!

mrsb - sage words of wisdom from yellow I think (but please do let us know if you do succumb and test!)

In other news, I get to leave work early today as one of the directors is leaving and we're having his do at the races so we have a chance to get dolled up!

Hope everyone else is doing well x

yellowtomato · 13/01/2011 08:22

Morning wombat sorry about BFN, must be so frustrating being 3 days late esp if you are usually regular...you sound very stoic though. Can you go to see a doctor re thrust? You don't really want advice from someone who can't understand what you're saying! Having had thrust a few times I feel your pain.

MrsB33 I'd try to hold on if you can. Because it is very early and if you get a bfn you won't believe it and will continue to test anyway.....of course a bfp would be fab! Personally I get very disappointed with a bfn even if it is early so prefer to wait.

Kitey ouch! Why couldn't they take it out? i had one out a couple of years ago and whilst it wasn't fun, it was a relief to have it gone.

sparkly sorry your af got you....that hendrix reference seems to have conjured up all sorts of images in my head that won't go away.....hope you are enjoying cheese/pate etc and look forward to hearing how the Hendrix manoeuvres work out!

My af is due tomorrow or Friday. I have no symptoms except from pre period rumblings so not got my hopes up at all and there will be no testing! Well ok I'm secretly hoping but pretending not to because there are no indications and with my history........I also did realise yesterday that although I'd be so happy with a bfp I'd also go into a massive panic.....i didn't cope that well with the waiting and early scans last time so next time it'll be even worse.

In other news apparently my test results are back and I've got an appt for next Thursday. So hopefully they'll be good/interesting.
