Hi ive been posting on the miscarrage forum but now feel ready to start all over again!
My story, Had my first MMC in nov 2007, followed by an erpc (worst moment of my life) this was my first pregnancy and i felt robbed. Waited for two periods and got pg with my little DD in feb 2008, i had a great pg and birth but was on constant knicker alert. We decided when she was two we would like another baby to add to the familiy, we decided to try in sept this year and got pg first time! (very shocked) I was so hoping this would be my time to have a stress free pg and actually enjoy the experience! How wrong i was, i started to spot at six weeks had a scan which showed a sac but no baby, i then enjoured the worst two week of my life by having scan and blood tests. I was told on the 8th on nov the pregnany was not going to continue and i had a blighted ovum, and on the 9th i had a erpc. I have recovered well and stopped bleeding the day after the procedure. I went to see my doc last week who told me i could start ttc asap as long as i feel up to it?? anyone else ttc straight away, last time i was told to wait and i did but this time i have read that there is no lit to say wait apart from to date the pg?? Im hoping there are some people who can share there experiences and someone who wants to join me!

New thread name may I suggest............ "come bearing calories or sparkly will get ya" Grin Grin

Janey if you are still Lurking..... I hope you are ok, I just searched your username and seen what you have been through and that you were also due in june along with me and some of us, You poor thing...
I wish you had joined us, I wasn't ERPC, but gatecrashed followed along for the familiar faces.

harassedinherpants · 11/03/2011 17:43

Pmsl @ sparkly

Janey if you've been lurking then you'll know that I'm the newbie round these here parts, and they've all been lovely and welcoming. I didn't join any of the other post mc threads because they were so big and fast moving, which is off putting when you're a bit fragile (found out about mmc 8 weeks ago today). I have joined one of the others very recently because there are some lovely ladies I met on the mc/pl board on there and I like to keep in touch with them.

I don't think it's ideal to lurk on threads like these where it's all so personal tbh.

I have tests!!! First Response are on bogof in Superdrug if anyone wants to stock up.

PS I like radiator covers and would a cat litter tray cover if anyone comes up with a lovely one Grin.

Sparklywine · 11/03/2011 17:21
Biscuit Always wanted to do that. Janey, as Wormy points out we are a friendly bunch, but your post could do with an introductory hello and some sort of savoury snack offering before you wave your pointy stick at us. I appreciate that some people will not be in the right place to offer a contribution, I don't know your circumstances and the fact you've been lurking here suggests you find yourself in the same unhappy predicament. I hope we have provided solace, comfort and amusement. By all means join in, otherwise you shall just have to find us when we move!

By the by, "lurking for some time" is kinda sinister to my mind, you don't seem the fluffy retiring kind and we're bearing our souls here. I feel exposed. You'd have thought this was some sort of open internet forum or summit....

Now would you like some Wine or have you more threads in which to crash-land and put to rights? Grin

Wormshuffler · 11/03/2011 14:58

Hi Janey
ermmm it's not that we are unfriendly towards newbies, it's just that alot of us were on the "same anti-natal" bus, so have gone through the whole getting PG and then M/C together. Some people Envy have already successfully got PG again, so there is a bit of a mixed group on here who catch up with different areas of each other lives. Eg jobs, holidays etc. Rather than just talking about TTC stuff.
Can I ask why you lurked and didn't join in? we are a friendly enough bunch........

janeybooks · 11/03/2011 14:38

Can I just ask why you've all suddenly got rather unfriendly regarding new recruits to your thread? Have lurked for some time but now rather feel I should shuffle away...

Sparklywine · 11/03/2011 13:55

Hey laydees, sorry to have been out of touch for a little bit, work has been very hectic and this is where I invariably take the piss pop in to say hello.
Pecka, you've got to have been a little tipsy, hmmm? Hmmm? I'm still smiling at "fuck that shit, pull yourself together girl"
You got 'tude, girlfriend!
Yellow, good luck vibes surround you, in a haze of luckiness.
I'm taking time out for lunch and feeling a bit dazed, just spent far too much time on "Radiator covers - naff or not?" I quite like them myself, I'm in favour of covering all ugly things.

Af trundles along so no activity to report, focus is on other things but will have a ponder on the new thread title. If we're looking to put people off, I'd recommend going down one of those 'All aboard, wave your mucusy pants in the air" type titles, I haven't an arsing clue what they're on about.
Anyhoo, I'll be back when I'm not feeling so spacey, mwah mwah!

wombatinwaiting · 11/03/2011 09:57

I know - mother nature is a scary animal....

Am totally baffled by the "off the beaten track" thread - I think everyone there talks in code.... think we are better off sticking on conception thread and keeping it a bit cryptic. Anyone have any other thoughts?

harassedinherpants · 11/03/2011 09:40

Just been looking at pictures of Japan Wombat Sad Just awful!

wombatinwaiting · 11/03/2011 09:39

x post with harassed and worm - keep us posted please harassed on the test and v v good luck.

worm - most Envy re: your run - I can't do anything right now due to neck and it's boiling here today (about 33 I think which is waaaaaay too hot for March) - might just head to the pool instead....

wombatinwaiting · 11/03/2011 09:35

Morning ladies - gosh, you lot were right chatterboxes last night! Am relieved to hear that I am not the only one feeling a bit anti-social about keeping your group together (although the odd newbie is good to keep things fresh) - how about we keep it on the conception board, but with a slightly obscure title...? Where is our wonderful wordsmith "sparkly"?!

Pecka - I'm with worm about you having a tipple or two too many possibly - you wrote London wasnt much fun, bas ot a double to myself that i didnt have share with a man a dog!!! - erm..... can you explain please?! Grin Enjoy your back together time with DH Wink

Glad your bday dinner was so lush worm and just to complete the triumvirate, we had steak too last night!

Thanks for asking re: neck yellow - a bit stiff when I first woke up, but getting better all the time. Had a wonderful sleep, despite slightly merry DH coming home around 1.30, and can understand how people could get addicted to valium! Planning not to take it tonight though and have a glass of Wine. Had a lovely lie-in with DH plus the bits that go with that Blush and we put the world to rights nicely. He's gone off sailing so I had a quick pootle to the shops to replace some of the clothes etc. that are still in Christchurch. Talking of which, have you seen the news on the earthquake / tsunami in Japan? Truly shocking images.....

I'm warming up the positive vibes for you for later today yellow so that when the time comes they'll be blasted all the way to London with a bit of extra polish for your shoes and horseshoes, 4 leafed clovers and a black cat for good measure! Eek - honestly am nervous! x

Am off to check out "off the beaten track"- sounds like it would suit my nosey nature to a tee!

xx

Wormshuffler · 11/03/2011 09:30

Sending you the very best of luck yellow, knock 'em dead!! they would be mad not to take you on.
I am nervous for you harrassed I know what you mean about making sure you are not before getting pissed letting your hair down. I didn't know I was PG with DS and went out, I had the worst hangover ever was ill for 2 days!, then when I found out I spent the next 8 months worrying I had damaged it. (he is fine btw)

pecka no not mad , I was being cheeky about your phone having changed all the words on the post before!

Off for a run in the sunshine now, feeling thankful I do not live in the pacific.......god they get natures worst....
xxx

harassedinherpants · 11/03/2011 09:19

I am [sick] at your lovely dinners Worm and Yellow - dh and I had fishcakes, chips and baked beans after both working all day, picking dd up and then back to school for Open Evening. Then, in her book bag this morning was the letter about Open Day. Not much good putting that in there on the actual flaming day!! Not impressed....

I think part two is a good idea. I also post on a thread on OTBT and the 30 day thing hasn't been a prob, but then are a more people than here.

So..... I've decided to test tomorrow. Discussed it with dh. Feeling very wobbly about it though, but will feel awful if I get a bfp a few days later and have got trollied!

yellowtomato · 11/03/2011 09:08

Morning all!

How is the neck today wombat hope you slept well.

I slept soooo deeply so feeling quite sleepy, I'm sure the adrenaline will wake me up later!

worm that part two thing is a good idea too. I think the title needs to say what we are but nothing too exciting.....

'off the beaten track' is under 'other' this is what it says about it 'This topic is designed for conversations of a private, sensitive or top secret nature. Discussions here will not be visible to search engines and will be removed from the archive after 30 days (from the date of the OP). They will also be excluded from Active discussions'

but I guess it could be annoying to lose the thread every 30 days!

I guess putting it somewhere other than conception would attract less people cos the ttc people would all be there. Dunno really.....

Ok ladies, remember from 2pm to 3pm and then from 4pm to 5.30pm I need your positive vibes.

pecka33 · 10/03/2011 21:30

me wine?? No why?? Am i coming across as mad?? Lol
its his italian place, i think its a kind of francize?? If thats how u spell it.... Nice but not as nice as if he was cooking the meal himself i gather??
Im going to go check out the chat thingy bobbie....

Wormshuffler · 10/03/2011 20:41

pecka have you been on the Wine Wink

I'm not sure about the phone thing ..... chat is in the "fun and games" section, as opposed to the becoming a parent, where we are now.
Sometimes putting part 2 to a thread name puts people off.....( god I sound anti-social ) if we wanted to stay here.

yellowtomato · 10/03/2011 20:40

worm the boy done good indeed, I am trying to be sensible re the wine cos of tomorrow.

pecka I think worm meant the chat section rather than conception. There is also a secret section called 'off the beaten track' or would that be too extreme?

Jamies place sounds great, which one do you mean exactly, sounds like it might suit my unemployed budget, well sort of! Glad you are feeling a bit better now.

Am so stuffed am reclining on sofa with jeans undone Blush

Where is sparkly?

pecka33 · 10/03/2011 19:58

Worm, can you chat on your phone?? If even seen chat?? As never update

on my Iaptop as thats when im meant to be working?? London wasnt much fun, bas ot a double to myself that i didnt have share with a man a dog!!! Lol so not all that glam..... it was jaimes cheapo restraunt, cost 110 for four of us with puddings and wine, so really not that bad!!! Lol sorry to shatter the allusion ladies. X

Wormshuffler · 10/03/2011 19:30

Guess what we had for tea! Same as you yellow! steak , herby roast pots and veg!!!! it was Lush. The boy done good!

Regarding the name change and newbies....... I know what you mean, we have all shared loads of Blush personal stuff on here, which we refer to and newbies wouldn't know what we are on about?? What about if we put it in chat or somewhere? although they are a "hardcore" bunch over there.........

harrassed you are not a newbie so we expect you to stick with us [manacing pose]

Your London break sounds ace pecka . I am in London for a hen weekend in 3 weeks, I suppose the only upside to not being PG this month is that I will be able to drink. We are off to some stripper cabaret show where we will resort to being howling cackling banchees! nothing civilized like eating at Jamies place!

pecka33 · 10/03/2011 19:14

wow!! God ive missed loads today..... Harrassed sorry your feeling so low, shit isnt it...
Im feeling alot better, 2days in ldon did me good, well apart from when a girl thats been on mat leave for 6 months, said congrats today, like drrrrrrr......
Jaime oliver place was lush!! And not mega expensive, they had the most amazing choco brownie with amareti biscuits and rasberrys, yum yum, i drempt of it last night...
I agree ladies it is a little early to test, so no wonder i keep getting a bpn!! Lol
harrassed, wombat cant believe were all in sink, isnt that weird!!!?????
Worm happy bday, hope its been a good day so far and been spoilt rotten....
Yellow, good luck tomorrow, compleatly agree, keep any newbies abay, love our littlw group.

wombatinwaiting · 10/03/2011 18:53

oooh - loving the sound of your dinner yellow! Hope yours is just as yummy worm and as it's being cooked by DH, I'm sure it'll be a winner.

Go on harassed - you know you want to! Well, you know we want you to anyway Grin

Righto I'm off for a valium and my bed - night all! x

Wormshuffler · 10/03/2011 18:04

Ohh I sound like a right misery! my day is great now sat here with my wine while DH cooks "something" ( i am not allowed in the kitchen)!! Hope it's as nice as yours sounds yellow Not been put off chocolate, as my weight gain shows since I started this job!!! can't imagine EVER been sick of the sight of pizza!

Thanks for the birthday greetings harrassed and wombat
xx

yellowtomato · 10/03/2011 17:24

test, test, test.........go on you know you want to!

Actually I never test early, can't stand the bfn.....but I guess you have to do what suits you.

Hey worm sorry it's not been a happy b'day so far...you should have sent more chocolate in our direction, I'm sure that would have helped with the target! What's on the menu for tonight? And does working with chocolate put you off it? i know it's not the same but when i worked at pizza hut I went right off pizzas, could barely even look at them.

We're having steak and roasted potatoes in rosemary. Yum....am starting to feel v tired now, couldn't get to sleep until 4am last night, must be all the stress in my system....hopefully that'll mean I'll have a restful night tonight ready to blow them away tomorrow.

harassedinherpants · 10/03/2011 17:05

Happy birthday day Worm!! Grin Hope dh cooks you a lovely meal. I agree with yellow - you're a youngster.

Wombat glad neck is much better. That link was quite freaky at the end when everything shot back into place. Yikes!!

I think my symptoms sound great, but also a lot like pmt to me lol! I'm sat here getting all worked over to test or not. What do you think?? Saturday will be cd26......

Wormshuffler · 10/03/2011 16:59

Thanks yellow Not a good day so far....... had to work and it was a "sales push" in which I didn't achieve target, but never mind it's only chocolate....... Should get better when I open the Wine and DH is cooking tonight :)

wombatinwaiting · 10/03/2011 16:59
