Hi ive been posting on the miscarrage forum but now feel ready to start all over again!
My story, Had my first MMC in nov 2007, followed by an erpc (worst moment of my life) this was my first pregnancy and i felt robbed. Waited for two periods and got pg with my little DD in feb 2008, i had a great pg and birth but was on constant knicker alert. We decided when she was two we would like another baby to add to the familiy, we decided to try in sept this year and got pg first time! (very shocked) I was so hoping this would be my time to have a stress free pg and actually enjoy the experience! How wrong i was, i started to spot at six weeks had a scan which showed a sac but no baby, i then enjoured the worst two week of my life by having scan and blood tests. I was told on the 8th on nov the pregnany was not going to continue and i had a blighted ovum, and on the 9th i had a erpc. I have recovered well and stopped bleeding the day after the procedure. I went to see my doc last week who told me i could start ttc asap as long as i feel up to it?? anyone else ttc straight away, last time i was told to wait and i did but this time i have read that there is no lit to say wait apart from to date the pg?? Im hoping there are some people who can share there experiences and someone who wants to join me!

Hi Wombat!! Yes, i'm here and lurking as usual :o

Massive congratulations to Mana and kitkey. Really, really pleased for you both. Such fantastic news.

Worm love your name change........will be so funny if you ever have to explain how that nickname came up!!! Wink

I'm still sans period....boo!!! and still definately not pregnant (first responce on sat).....double boo!!! I am now 9 weeks and 1 day post erpc.
I think as a few of you have mentioned docs refering as up to 12 weeks to return to normal, i may leave it until it's been 11 weeks as they'll probably make me wait anyhow. As with worm, i have a trip to disney on the horizon which is keeping me occupied due to my daily flight watch to try and bag a bargain. We DIY it so lots to organise and keep me busy.

Hi to all and keep worm shuffling with bicycle legs :)

manamana · 17/01/2011 20:00

Mrs b - af and flu, yuk, sending a virtual hot toddy with lashings of something strong.

Ha ha fredelliot, love it. Particularly now all the peacocks have waved goodbye to the street :-)

Wellie, how exciting. My brother emigrated to oz a few years ago and he and his family are so happy with the lifestyle over there, have made lots of good friends as well. Hope all goes really well.

Wombat, karting sounds great. I've only done it once but loved it, glad you beat some of the boys! Spotting sounds confusing, 'xmas' party is a good excuse to test and good opportunity to drown sorrows if it's neg.

Good luck for your swi sparkly - enjoy!

News here is that I did my next dig test on saturday and it had gone up to 3+ weeks so, good news. Am going to make an appt for end of next week, that way I will be nearly 8 weeks so if I can get a referral for a scan hopefully it'll be around 10 weeks. Not that I've been obsessively checking dates.... Oh yes, and poking boobs too! Not sore yet. Sickness v slight and comes and goes.... Hey ho, just got to wait and see I guess. How are you feeling today kitkey?

kitkey · 17/01/2011 19:50

Wombat put those thoughts of Ashermans right away - you have had one AF right? Also you said you never got a smiley face on the OPK so maybe you haven't ovulated for a while. I would have had a 7 week cycle when I conceived DS2 - I ovulated 5 weeks after last period - I had just finished BF DS1 so that is why my cycles were wacky. I just did an ovualtion test that day as was having some cramps and the jumped on DH that night - keep SWI when you can.

MrsB33 poor you having flu and AF - chocolate is the order of the day.

Yellow is AF here or did she stay away?!

I have just done another first response test and then found out that superdrug tests are just a good and half the price so tried one and indeed they are - trying not to poas everyday but I can never help myself. Not testing until Thursday now- Hmm. I woke up with 3 big zits this am - as long as the bean stick I don't mind.

Have a lovely evening ladies - going to
eat some chicken pie and spinach

wombatinwaiting · 17/01/2011 17:31

Good for you quoffing the juice sparkly - can you add a mixer in too to make it more exciting?!

Yes - it is odd, but last test was on Sat and it was a BFN. Poking boobs to see if there is any sign but nowt (other than sore from poking them so much!) If nothing appears, will do another test on weds as we have our work xmas party (yes, midweek and yes, nearly a whole month post xmas - I'm as baffled as you) and would like to indulge in a couple. Of course, Ashermans has crossed my mind once or twice a day - who knows?!

Sparklywine · 17/01/2011 16:57

Congrats kitkey, excellent news and as wombat points out, will hopefully lay to rest all the fears you had after the erpc.

Wombat, 8 days late, odd Have you done another test?
My AF is drawing to a close so I am in countdown to SWI from Saturday onwards Grin I am eating brazil nuts and quoffing grapefruit juice in readiness, it's quite exciting, back to feeling hopeful. It's the 2ww that's the painful bit, I've ordered some more cheapie amazon tests and hope this is not a monthly ritual.

wombatinwaiting · 17/01/2011 16:43

Oh..... my..... goodness! Kitkey - wonderful news and congrats! Grin No wonder you feel slightly weird but hope you are feeling good with it too. I'm so pleased, especially as you were so anxious re: choosing the ERPC option. Do stay on and spread your luck for the rest of us please!

wellie - down under - how exciting! Hope all the packing up and goodbyes go ok.

Have had some really, really light spotting for the last 2 days - only when I wipe, not even enough for a panty liner. Really don't know what is going on as AF now 8 days late.... will wait 1 more week and then see doc.

fredeliot - love the new nickname!

yellow and mrsb - any AF updates for us....?

Management conference for the last 2 days had its ups and downs and culminated in a karting competition this afternoon which I was a bit ho hum about to start with (especially as out of a group of 54, there was only me and one other female - can you imagine the testosterone pumping around?!) but loved it in the end and was by no means the slowest, despite a couple of spin-outs. DH away for 2 nights and while I miss him, am loving having a quiet house all to myself.

Waves to everyone x

wellieboots · 17/01/2011 12:11

Congrats kitkey - bet it feels slightly weird though, we're all here to hold your hand. It is absolutely fab and gives some encouragement to the rest of us!

Sorry I haven't been around much - we're off down under at the end of the month so things are absolutely frantic, last week we were finishing up work which was mad in its own way but glad it's over now!

My sort of good news is that I can feel that AF is on the way 5 weeks after ERPC - good news in the sense that things are getting back to normal and my body is doing what it should! And then we can start ttc again after it's out of the way - going to try (famous last words Smile) not to over think it and just to let nature take its course, took us 6 months last time, so I'm in for the long haul and will be hanging around with you ladies to hold my hand!

MrsB33 · 17/01/2011 11:51

OMG!! Just logged on, congrats kitkey isnt this turning into being a lucky thread!!! My af is due tomorrow so feeling very sad today, have to starting symptoms of my af and flu!!! So feel crap!!

kitkey · 16/01/2011 19:08

Not getting too excited as had 2 x local anaesthetic this week plus taken a truck load of paracetamol and codeine for my tooth. Eek - they are all safe in pregnancy though. But still I feel a bit chuffed.

manamana · 16/01/2011 18:11

Ohmygoodness how very exciting kitkey! Congratulations Grin that is brilliant news.
Just snuck a look on here pre bath time, will be back to read up properly but just wanted to say a little woo-hoo. Understand the shakiness, it's v weird. Take care of yourself, my head is still mostly doing a roller coaster of emotions.

yellowtomato · 16/01/2011 17:31

Congratulations kitkey that's great news. Nervousness is only natural, I'm sure you're also still in a bit of shock. Hurrah for another bfp!

kitkey · 16/01/2011 17:06

Well ladies I caved a did a first response - faint line but def there and a clear blue digital - pregnant 1-2 weeks. AF not due til wed so the next chapter of worries begin.

I am shaking....

yellowtomato · 16/01/2011 16:21

Afternoon ladies

sparkly I am certain your dinner party will be a success, I'll be st theatre so won't be able to login but will be thinking of you.

waitingwombat yes I did go to the gym but I am very impressed with all your activity. So do you know if you ovulated this month? You have had an af since erpc haven't you?

The lady on my course is 20 weeks pg and seemed to me to be 'showing off' with a tight top and excessive tummy rubbing but I'm sure that was mainly in my head.

Still no af here but still rumblings, am really getting hopes up so will probably be v upset when af eventually arrives. This is so hard!

MrsB33 · 16/01/2011 11:12

sparkly im sure all your friends will turn up, especially given the menu!! I wouldnt anyway, sound delic.....
Planning a nice day today, my mom found a puppy online yesterday so were off to go view her this afternoon, let the broodyness commence!!!
Trying to think positively about my af,s arrival, as my body repairing so hopefully next month will be the month as that would be 4 months post mc..
Also when i think of dates, next month would be better as it means i get to go on mat leave b4 xmas, (working in retail thats a pure bonus!!!), maybe im thinking about it too much!!
And sparkly completly get the ikea candle think, im obsessed, need to go visit again tuesday, candle top is required!!!

Sparklywine · 16/01/2011 10:37

Hey chickpeas, sorry to hear so many of you are feeling down this weekend, even the 70's party made me feel sad; it's a great fear of mine that I would host a party and no-one would turn up, mortification! I have images of me stood in my kitchen next Friday crying over burnt scallops as one by one everyone texts to say they can't make it. Someone log in just incase, there will be lots of virtual wine for you! Grin
I had a nice day yesterday, spent mainly in Ikea with sis and baby niece. She is adorable, all pudgy-faced now with the cutest gummy granny grin. I hadn't had any contact with babies before sis had a couple, but I'm quite smitten now. My umpteen cheap purchases inevitably tallied up to quite a sum (damn jubla candles!) but it felt nice and nesty. Today I am practising most of my dishes, and will probably make a big batch of the main course to re-heat on Friday with a refresher glug of wine.
Anyhow, enjoy your Sunday ladies, be happy, our time will come! Smile

MrsB33 · 16/01/2011 10:18

hi ladies hope your all well. kitkeyNot sure if this helps or any words of advice, as im a mear novice, no kids yet and only one pg that ended in an mmc, oh well here i go!! after my mmc in sept, i got a normal period 5 weeks later, 9 days after that i had some spotting which lasted for 5 days, this happened for my next cycle and has now all gone on my third??

Kitkey sorry your having to go through this, its frustrating enough but I agree with worm i does take us all a little while to recover after an mc,after visiting my doc he daid it can take upto 12 weeks for everything to return to normal after the mc but i still feel my hormones are all over the place, been an emotional rek this week...
My parents dog died friday (in my car may i add) and i must of cried most of the weekend!!

Decided not to test again ladies, kinda know this month isnt the month, have a really high temp today, slight under lying headache, terrible wind and an unmistakable rubbeling tummy and bottom!! Af is due tuesday night!!!
So looks like im back to my ttc action again, my poor dh!!!!!!
Waves to all x

Wormshuffler · 16/01/2011 09:35

kitkey I just did some googling, and there are loads of stories of ppl having mid cycle spotting after M/C. One lady said she had it for all of the 5 months until she got PG again. Apparently it is just hormones being a bit heywire and doesn't affect ovulation at all.
xxxxxx

kitkey · 16/01/2011 09:23

I suppose the PCOS could be causing the spotting but I have now got preg 3 times with no problems so trying to ignore the diagnosis as when i was diagnosed I was 7.5stone, surviving on the calories from alcohol, my dad had just died and I was at uni. I went to drs as my periods were amiss and I was losing weight -thought that this was the problem. I I had a blood test and scan though. My day of reckoning has come I suppose.

Wormshuffler · 16/01/2011 09:02

I know what you mean kitkey I had to shake myself yesterday to be happy with what I have, especially when there are so many people who I read about on here who don't have any DC's yet, and I am happy but I just want this it last forever. (midlife crisis anyone) DD is sharing my shoes now! we went all gooey yesterday over some baby trainers. I bet the lady didnt even realize she was bump rubbing and you never know, she may have been trying for ages for that bump......

Could the spotting be linked to your PCOS? x
