hi, this is probably a weee bit early for some ppl, but im waiting til end of this month to ttc (the desperation, brooding over other peoples babies and feeling jealous of pregnant women , thinking of names and waiting 2 symptom spot kicks in)
so come along and join the journey to motherhood!

OP posts:
TweedPig · 15/01/2011 16:21

I jumped on the bus a week or so ago but don't think I ever made it onto the official list (and don't know how to add myself Blush).

Anyhoo, after a week of increasing nausea I finally decided to POAS a day early after standing wretching and heaving in the kitchen when trying feed the dog (TMI sorry). Couldn't bear to feed the dog when pregnant with DS so decided that was the final straw, and yup, BFP!

I'd also noticed that DS (14months) has been clingier than a clingy cling-on for the past week and wondered if he had picked up on a future rival for mummy's affection?! Been quite happy to sit for hours on my lap stroking my stomach, when he's usually off creating mayhem. Any other overactive sympton-spotters had this??

Good luck to those still waiting - fingers crossed!

MrsHende · 15/01/2011 12:32

There are just a few of us left here now...fingers crossed the last week or so of the bus is a good one.

Hey English and Monkey, I think we're all around the same stage. I did a test yesterday too but a BFN. I'm finding it hard to know when to test, my cycle seems to vary from 25-33 days with a huge 39 day one last time.

I got my blood test results back yesterday, all normal :). I'm so pleased that it's all ok...but then does leave me with no explanation about why we're on cycle 10 with no BFP.

DH is trying to get an appointment with his GP now to get his tests done. He has some health problems so I really hope that his results are fine as if he felt it was his problem I think it would be a real kick in the teeth psychologically for him. He already feels like he is a burden (he's not) and this would be another thing to add to his list of ways he feels he's a crappy husband (he's not!).

It all got a bit much on Wednesday and I had a bit of a meltdown. I thought my period was starting and it tipped me over the edge. I thought I was coping really well but then realised that I'm not at all...weeping and wailing!! Poor old DH didn't know what to do!

Then on Thursday we had TWO colleagues visit with their new babies and loads of other generally rubbish stuff happening at work. Thanks goodness I had a girls night planned - they didn't know what had hit them when we sat down for dinner and asked how I was! Felt a lot better after a rant though.

Any suggestions on how to stay away from the emotional rollercoaster of testing?!

monkeyblonde · 14/01/2011 18:03

Hey EnglishCountryGirl you sound in the same boat as me (just one day ahead). I've done cheapy tests yesterday and today and nothing. Also been feeling sick but wonder whether that's because I'm nervous about it all! Also, noticed that my skin hasn't got spotty as it would normally do about a week before AF, and obviously convinced myself that's a sign :)

EnglishCountryGirl · 14/01/2011 16:36

Wombat - hope everything is ok and Daisy - glad to hear everything is going well.

Tested yesterday and this morning (9dpo and 10dpo) and both negative, but I've been feeling really sick the last few days, so hoping it's just too early. We gave it a really good go this month, and only our second month trying so I know I shouldn't get downhearted if we've not been successful, but it's so hard...

Teds77 · 14/01/2011 16:25

Oh and tried to tidy the list up a bit!

Teds77 · 14/01/2011 16:24

Hi All

Daisy glad to hear all seems okay with your pea! Wombat good that you feel a bit calmer and reassured today. And belated congrats to princesscrumpy

No news from me however the back pain has been so awful the last day or so I've been occupied with that Angry Pretty low expectations this month until I read that upper back spasms can happen as a result of hormonal change in early pregnancy! Ha! Grin

Anyways, DH and I have agreed we'll have one more go and then head to the GP to see if we can start tests. Am hoping that various bits of DH's medical history may make her sympathetic to us getting some early tests.

Thaks Daisy It's very reassuring that you didn't feel particularly pg the day they told you all was on track. Let's hope I'm worrying about nothing!!

I'm not that far from an EPU but they will only see me with exceptional pain or bleeding so I think I'll have to make do with the GP for now. I'm feeling a bit calmer now I've got the wheels in motion to find out what's happening, so hopefully that will tide me through the weekend.

Daisybell1 · 14/01/2011 12:41

Am now back Wombat. Just a thought but can you self-refer, or can you ask for a referal, to your EPU?

They have been brilliant with me, the care has been exception (such as blood results being back within 1hr, therefore reducing the worry of waiting), continual follow - up appointments.

And most importantly, once you're in the system, you can then self-refer again 24/7 if you're at all worried.

Are you far from a unit?

Thinking of you xx

Wombat33 · 14/01/2011 12:08

Have fun Cake!

TheCake · 14/01/2011 11:44

Tested againthis morning and still negative but noAF, think I'll hop off the bus anyway. Offto Paris for the weekend so gong to get really drunk! Good luck to everyone xxx

Wombat33 · 14/01/2011 11:08

greedy thanks for the reassurance, it does help! My problem is I feel how I felt in my last pg just before I miscarried Sad That said there are lots of success stories on here so I'm still hoping I might be in with a chance yet!

Daisybell1 · 14/01/2011 10:54

Hi Wombat

I'll have to be quick because I'm on a training course, but I don't feel PG either anymore (and I didn't yesterday either when they confirmed all's ok)

Am no longer queasy and not dog-tired either...

Fingers crossed for you hun xxxxxx

greedychops · 14/01/2011 10:42

Wombat - don't know if it helps cause I cant guarantee that nothing has changed with my pg, but I felt very pregnant until about two days ago and now feel totally normal apart from a slightly sore boob!

But I also remember from previous pg that I was lulled into a sense of security (in one way) that I wasn't going to get ms, and then it hit me full on at about 7 weeks.

Wombat33 · 14/01/2011 09:07

Temps went down again Getdown but again I had very little sleep and had been up to the bathroom about half an hour before the alarm went off and I took temp so not really reliable. It's not the temps that woprry me so much (although they're not helping) it's the fact that a week ago I felt pregnant and now I don't. We'll see. I'm still clutching a shred of hope that I'll be proved wrong.

GetDownYouWillFall · 14/01/2011 09:00

Aw sorry to hear your symptoms are getting less again wombat but it doesn't necessarily mean anything. What were your temps doing today? It's good the GP is giving you a blood test. Try to relax, nothing you can do.

Wombat33 · 14/01/2011 08:51

Bye Spirita good luck on the october bus!

My non-existent pg symptoms have got even less today so I sobbed on my GP and have an HCG blood test this morning. Won't find out the results before next week but at least it gets the ball rolling Sad

Grin @ Poddington Pea!!

Maybe I'll look into the private blood tests, good idea.

Daisybell1 · 13/01/2011 15:32

Oh poor you Wombat, I didn't realise OH was away - even more time to go mental Grin

I have a piccie of my 5+1 - a black pea with a pale line around it. That's all. The only reassurance I get from it is that there is something there (ie I'm not making it up, and its in the right place).

I have to have another scan in 10 days when I'll be 6+4. They told me that at that one they should be able to see the foetal pole if all's well, but they didn't say anything about being able to see the heartbeat.

Can you hang on a bit longer? Much as I I feel great that my Poddington Pea's there, there's not a lot to see, if you know what I mean!

If you need to some reassurance now could you talk to a private clinic about whether they'd do you some blood tests? That's given me the greatest reassurance today

Wombat33 · 13/01/2011 15:22

Hurrah!!!! That's great news Daisy!!! Yippee!! Grin Grin

I'm okay. Going slightly mental with worry at lack of symptoms butmy DH is back from a work trip this eve so at least I 'll get some hugs!

Do you mind me asking what they were able to see at 5+1? It's just that I'm wondering whether to book in for a private scan to get some reassurance, but I'm worried about doing it too soon in case there's nothing to see and I just end up more concerned. Was thinking I had to wait until at least 6 wks to seea heartbeat..?

Daisybell1 · 13/01/2011 14:55

Hello!

Well.....

Bloods on Tuesday were about 360, today - over 1000. So the nurses decided to do a quickie scan (just in case) and there it was on the screen Grin. The nurse told me its measuring 5.1 weeks Shock which is further along than I thought...

I've got a follow up scan in 10 days, just to check all's still growing. Am now Grin from ear to ear but must remember that we're not out of the woods yet.

Congrats dualta and Princess, and how are you Wombat?

Wombat33 · 13/01/2011 13:07

Hurrah!! Congrats PrincessScrumpy!!

Karbea · 13/01/2011 13:07

Ok i'm jumping off now (AF arrived), off to the Oct bus, see some of you there and good luck to the rest!

xx

PrincessScrumpy · 13/01/2011 13:05

Oooops, I left a little early. I was spotting so thought that was it - nothing more happened so I've just tested and got a BFP Grin

Now, if only dh would get out of his bloody meeting so I can tell him!

Thanks for having me, and good luck xx

Teds77 · 13/01/2011 11:04

That's lovely news Dualta!

Hmm... the pain has spread up my back... I'm pretty sceptical about the chances of being pregnant but whilst AF isn't here there is always a chance!
