A safe haven for those just off the mc rollercoaster and thinking about getting back on or are already on the TTC rollercoaster. Be warned these lovely ladies chat, and the thread moves lightening fast, but all are welcome to join in any time Smile

For those who have just mc'd, there is great info about your first cycle here

If you want to add yourself into the stats, just copy and paste the lot, change everyones CD (cycle day) if necessary and add yourself in.
WTF = first cycle after mc
WTTC = waiting to TTC
CD = cycle day
UCL = usual cycle length

MamaP Pink I have an entire family tree on my stomach - not much room on the boobs to get much of a motorway system going.

Loola am going to have to leave you in the hands of the experts - who I am sure will arrive shortly.

af arrived this morning right on time. I am surprisingly fine about it. A certain relief that my cycle has gone back to pre-mc cycle length and that I most probably had the ov time right. I also get to drink and eat sushi at my girls night out on Monday! Yeahhh. I am definitely, truly, ever so much I promise never going to symptom spot again (you'd never know there are Charlie and Lola fans in my household).

Nix sounds like it was a waste of a panic shag then!!

Hi all,

Going to be a right cheeky mare and have a me post as I have no chance of keeping up with you all!

I have found last 2 cycles that I have brown discharge for around 10 days before oving, whats that all about?

At the minute I am CD26 and I think I usually OV around CD28/UCL40/42 (Blardy PCOS)and I have had brown watery discharge(only on wiping but quite a lot) with tiny little clots, which look more like fibres they are so small I have had this since last Fri, it turned pink on Sun then back to the above again.. Once I ov it stops and I have approx 14cd Luteal phase.

I'm starting to get a little concerned about it TBH, I've actually got a scan tomorrow due to pain when Oving last month and concerned that I won't be able to have it due to this discharge? Do you think I will have to reschedule? As I am assuming it will be Dildo Cam?

Its all so annoying isn't it, I am really dreading tomorrow anyway as Scan will be where I had the dreaded news re MC and think it'll bring it all back!

Sorry that its a mememe, I have been lurking but I need to write things down to remember whats what!

Loo X

Pg not of. Grr phone.

Velvet your flow sounds like my typical 'heavy' day - get 1 or 2 days like that out of 4-5 day bleed. Try not to fret.

Ladybee · 18/11/2010 09:23

Oh and the veins I think aren't reliable after you've been of once. I have one that gets much more noticeable every tww, have learnt ignore.

How much grapefruit juice is recommended. Are we talking a glass with breakfast or a carton a day?!

Ladybee · 18/11/2010 09:21

nicks I'd say day 19 too, that looks like a tremendous ovulation dip then rise to me. Oh and that dip today looks like the estrogen surge I found out about usually at 4-5 dpo.

Sorry I seem to have lost posts - am sure I composed posts on my phone last few days but they seem to not make it to mumsnet. Will keep this one short to seewhether that helps. Squeezes for all!

youremindmeofthebabe · 18/11/2010 08:53

velvet don't worry too much. Chinese herbal medicine says that most menstrual blood should be bright red. I ted to get a day of dark, and then bright red and sometimes clotty.

MamaPower · 18/11/2010 08:43

Morning all!

I'm resigned that I'm not pg this month but I am refusing to engage my mind with my stupid body today...it can go to hell, because I am determined to have a good day and not think about painful boobs, pant snot or other alleged symptoms I also seem to be displaying off of Pinks list GrinGrin BTW Pink, I see your bits of motorway network and raise you spaghetti junction!

I'm impressed with all the charting going on around here...some of you probably know more than the pro's!

nickstermum · 18/11/2010 07:29

thanks Izz, have just posted it on charters anon, conception thread to see if i can get some guidance on there too!

Catch up later x

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 18/11/2010 07:13

nicks I think day 19 x

PinkFondantFancy · 18/11/2010 06:42

Wow cool temperature jump!! I would say on the second day of your positive opk but you need the oracle's help really rather than mine!

orange is it your last exam today? Good luck!

nickstermum · 18/11/2010 06:37

night ladies x

OrangeToeNails · 17/11/2010 22:21

mummye thanks and hi, it puts my mind at rest a bit :)

pink so sorry she got you, I really thought it would be BFP, but there's still chance before Xmas. Yep there's a few to keep each other company if you all can cope with a newbie. FF is already updated accordingly :)

Been an awful day revising, currently watching You're Fired and drinking a 'medicinal' whisky To help me sleep.

AandRMum · 17/11/2010 22:15

Hmmm velvet I'm of absolutely no help whatsoever. Just wanted to send a ((hug)) and growl along with you at the inconsistency of it all. I hope it looks better in the morning - otherwise that your GP can see you fast and give you reassurance.

Pink great work at playing on the competitive and the chart geek factor.

PinkFondantFancy · 17/11/2010 22:10

hmmm nix I thought that too - I got one mahoosive vein, let's call it the M1, when I was pg last time. But when I obsessed looked in the mirror this morning I've now got the north circular and some of the M4 as well..... Wouldn't mind if it was because I was pg but it's a bit minging otherwise...... Hehehe EXCELLENT plan on the favours. Actually talking of that, I bought the game Nookii the other day, looks great - am saving it up for the right time of the month, don't want to waste it too early!!! Definitely no panic SWI at CD12 this month given that I don't think anything happens until at least CD20...

velvet I would have thought red sounds more healthy than dark and sticky? Little clots (and some not so little...) is a new thing that I've started having since MC - last cycle I had clots in a big way and I freaked out. This time I haven't had any yet.

Velvetcu · 17/11/2010 21:42

I'm a bit concerned actually coz I'm bleeding bright red with really dark little clots which is unusual for me (its usually all dark and more sticky than clotty tmi soz!) also quite a bit of pain. I will see how it goes overnight. Why is there always something to deal with?

nickstermum · 17/11/2010 21:28

good game pink, you should do that for sexual favours round fertile time.... obviously once you have detached your siamese twin!

nickstermum · 17/11/2010 21:26

pink AR i had nausea, cramps, peeing etc for days before AF :( blardy bodies

intrigued by pinks scary blue boob veins tho.....! i thought they were only associated with pg? I still have mine, did yours just appear, or get darker?

PinkFondantFancy · 17/11/2010 21:18

velvet we'll get through this and get beautiful babies at the end, I know we will. I have exactly the same thing as you - if only we could go back to the days of chucking away the pills and "just seeing what happens". My temps are dropping - if yours are still high maybe you should POAS, just to check? (((HUGS)))

DH is very engaged with my temping, especially since we have introduced a new game in the Pink household - DH guesses tomorrow's temperature and whether he reckons it will be higher or lower than the guessed temp - if you lose you have to make dinner...... :)

AandRMum · 17/11/2010 21:13

Gahhh Pink that list could be written for me. I have a feeling I am a symptomaholic ... I am getting so good at it I tend to have the symptom just before I read about it - I think my subconscious takes it in faster than my brain. Amazing creatures we are! If we were rabbits I don't think we would love our dc quite as much as we do - they are worth waiting for - even if it feels like it is killing us in the meantime.

MummyE I am enjoying the catch up posts. It is like seeing a commentated replay of all the action.

Velvet Pink LadyB and all others with recent afs make sure the sofa is a long one as I think I am coming to join you tomorrow.

To think Nix your DH is having every man's fantasy and doesn't even know it - might help in the quickie stakes!! Hmm Blush

Velvetcu · 17/11/2010 20:47

PFF cycle buddies request accepted. I really am ready to give up and its true - it seems so easy for other people to get pg and I do feel like I have had my shot at it already.

My temps were still high this morning and I have all the same symptoms as you so I too have no idea whats going on. If I could only go back to how it was before the pg when I ahd the "if it happens it happens" attitude. SWOI whenever I felt like it, ah those were the days

PinkFondantFancy · 17/11/2010 20:43

gah no worries, I'm tucked up on the sofa with a glass of red wine and a huge bowl of soft goats cheese risotto - it's not all bad Grin. Hehe thanks for hiding me last night, glad I didn't put DH off!!!! hehehehehehehehe so wrong Grin xx

nickstermum · 17/11/2010 20:30

fondant hugs xxx

PinkFondantFancy · 17/11/2010 20:16

Hello all! Hope you're all comfy, this might be a long one....

First of all, AF has been busy as she's come to me too, so I'll be unceremoniously putting myself at the bottom of the list tomorrow so dates tie up with the shag dictator. Longest ever cycle since mc-they are getting longer every month which is frankly scaring the sh!t out of me, especially since temps are so random, am convinced something is going/has gone wrong :( Sorry she got you velvet, I really thought this month was your month :( I can report that having the following symptoms simultaneously unfortunately does not signal impending BFP:
Being knackered all the time
Peeing all the time
Dying of thirst
Disturbed sleep
Really Sore boobs with massive new blue veins
Bizarre pant snot
Being ridiculously irrational, emotional, bitchy and crying for no reason
Nausea and loss of appetite
Feeling cold all the time
Food tasting weird
AF being late and feeling like it's impending for about 10 days before it arrives

Gah, had my hopes up this month, again, due to above mentioned collection of plausible symptoms :(. Have to agree that I am also feeling v disheartened and like it's never going to happen.....

However, I did go to a really interesting seminar today at work led by a consultant gynae from hammersmith ivf clinic about fertility and I thought I'd share some of it with you as I found it quite reassuring and some of it v interesting. Here goes:

  • humans are as bad at reproducing as the blue whale (and they aren't exactly doing brilliantly as a species...) - if two 17 year olds shagged every day, they'd only have a 15-20% chance of conceiving in any one month.however, he reckons that 90% of couples (even if they're not 17) will conceive within a year of trying, which I find reassuring although daunting as I guess I've already used up my lucky one shot on the mc pg.... Interestingly rabbits ovulate every time they shag which explains their breeding success!!
  • if you have a shorter cycle it's possible that you're ovulating while you're still bleeding so dtd on cd2 could get you pg-there's been a study where people were allocated a single calendar day in their cycle to dtd just once in the cycle, and it resulted in pregnancies from every single allotted day (not sure I explained that very well, hopefully makes sense)
  • he says it's perfectly rational that people are so impatient to get pg when they start ttc as we live in a society where you're told that missing 1 pill will result in instant pg doom and everything else in our lives is instant eg order groceries online at 10pm, delivered the next day at 6am. This really resonated for me-I really am struggling with the waiting, especially as I feel like it's come so easily to all my friends and people around me.

I hope this was a bit interesting for you guys too-it's helped me cling onto a bit of zen today. I also got a bit of a warm fuzzy feeling that work lays this stuff on-can't imagine many employers would and I found it reassuring that I was surrounded by loads of normal looking ladies that clearly weren't exactly having a smooth path to get pg either.

mummya I have everything crossed for you for your appointment tomorrow!!! It is v cold, it's not just you!!

dachs how's the chilling out going? I am so jealous of your doggies!! I so want some but the poor things would be lonely for 12 hours a day so haven't got any.

lady I feel exactly the same xx hope your ds is feeling better v soon.

mamap I have the same boob thing, I think I've only had it since mc too.

wombat have a lovely evening! V cultured!!

Hehe nix good work, keep them nice and warm!

orange and velvet will you be my cycle buddies?? Could do with some handholding through this one... You too ^freezing and knitter*.

Hello to everyone else, I'm gonna swipe one of these yummy jumbo toberlerones and sort myself out some dins. Sorry for the v v v long post!!! Xx

Choccybick · 17/11/2010 20:08
