A safe haven for those just off the mc rollercoaster and thinking about getting back on or are already on the TTC rollercoaster. Be warned these lovely ladies chat, and the thread moves lightening fast, but all are welcome to join in any time Smile

For those who have just mc'd, there is great info about your first cycle here

If you want to add yourself into the stats, just copy and paste the lot, change everyones CD (cycle day) if necessary and add yourself in.
WTF = first cycle after mc
WTTC = waiting to TTC
CD = cycle day
UCL = usual cycle length

Teacake you arent alone lovely its easy to feel that you are depressed, could be that you are, and need to seek councelling? sorry cant spell! Same pink?

(((hugs to all who need them)))

has anyone seen owlshoes recently?

PinkFondantFancy · 21/11/2010 17:11

Hi all,

Just a quickie, is anyone here getting counselling I'm sure I remember that someone was (sorry, I can't remember who), if so, are you finding it helpful? I've spent the weekend with my mum who is convinced that I'm depressed and thinks I should have counselling as she thinking the reason why I'm just not getting over this is that it's dragged back a load of buried feelings about my dad dying a few years ago. I can't see that talking about stuff will make it any different, but I think she's right that maybe I am depressed so maybe I should give it a go, but just wondered if anyone's got any experience? Thanks ladies! Proper catch up later xx

(((hugs))) to orange and tunnocks - hope you're ok tt that must be worrying. Probably all part of the general post-mc WTF-ness sadly Sad but glad everything looked ok on scan - have they given you anything to sort things out? Hope it settles down soon x

littlemiss - good to hear from you, I'm glad you're ok and don't blame you for not booking in yet. It's a tough call. Fx things continue to go ok for you - any chance of an early scan to put your mind at rest?

Thanks :) I've found champagne and cake are helping, along with avoidance. The 3 year old is adorable, she came over to me and I had to fight the urge to pick her up and hug her

nickstermum · 21/11/2010 12:11

orange you are in good company, she is just very very lucky try not to bump stare and find something to focus on xxxxxx

OrangeToeNails · 21/11/2010 11:26

Morning everyone, I'm at in-laws hiding in the bedroom, one if his cousins incoming with their little girl and she's 20 weeks pg :( I know it's wrong but I'm thinking why does she get to have 2 and I'm still trying? I know I'm really lucky I've been trying since July and pg twice already, which makes me feel worse :( Blush

HKbaby I agree you can't put your whole life on hold, I'm having a few drinks now, then will hold off pre-OV and 2ww (well, will certainly try my best in the Xmas season)

mummyE don't blame you for going back, the weathers awful here, and if it was me I'd feel more settled when back home in a routine

izzy temps still a mystry to me, so I'd add them all and take an average!

dachs I hope you're having a restfull 2ww, or as best you can given the circumstances x

nix I hope you manage an afternoon nap to catch up

littlemiss congrats on the BFP, I can imagine how you must be feeling, and don't blame you for lurking here. -if When I get pregnant again I won't want to grad straight away. Interesting thought on doc/midwife, I don't think I'd tell them until I had too, as already been told I can't have early scan

Phew! Sorry for essay. I hope everyone's Sunday is going ok?

MummyinEngland · 21/11/2010 10:07

Hello Littlemiss I moved you to BFP list, hope you dont mind. 9 weeks is pretty good going! Grin We have a couple of other early pregnacy lurkers here, appleblossoms and and urbanlolly are also a few weeks in. May you all have happy pregnancies and beautiful babies! xxx

Nix I have a flight back booked for Dec 3rd, but might change it to earlier if I dont need to do anything more medical/legal here. Havent acclimatised and I dont plan on trying! brrrrrrrr! (but DS and I did have a nice wintry stroll round Kingston on Friday, the sun was out and it was lovely)Grin

littlemiss72 · 21/11/2010 09:47

Morning all, been in hiding for a little while. I see I'm on the BFP list. Date was 15th Oct and now in 9th week Grin feeling pretty rough tbh. Scared to after all the eventful MC earlier this year.

Just wanted to come and update you all and say hello! Not booking in with DR's or MW until I'm ready, I just could not face going through it all again - bit like tempting fate.

Hope your all keeping well, love to all and happy Sunday. x

nickstermum · 21/11/2010 09:18

Q for Mummy. How long are you sticking around here my lovely, when do you plan on flying back? Are you having an early christmas whilst here with your family?
And finally have you acclimatised yet?!?!

Catch up later xx

Good stuff HK (about the amazon and the wine Grin

nickstermum · 21/11/2010 09:16

Morning, sounds like anne widdecome is up there with Wangers perf! Grim :(

I didnt bother taking a temp this morning after i went to bed at half elevn, was up at 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and then eventually woke at 9 :( partly DS needing to wee and partly me having a terrible tummy :( Thankfully DH went out for an early morning bike ride, leaving me to snooze and DS is still snoring too :) leave him where he is he was really cranky and warm yesterday.. not right atm i dont think!

Feeling pretty grotty now though,

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 21/11/2010 08:23

Thanks mummye Smile

MummyinEngland · 21/11/2010 08:15

Morning!

I would do 36.21, the higher ones might be high for the wrong reasons (not enough sleep, moving around) but there is no such thing as a temp that is "too low" or misleadingly low.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 21/11/2010 08:09

Morning mummye - hope you're feeling ok today. Anne Widdicombe dancing is indeed wrong on
so many levels Grin

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 21/11/2010 08:07

Hi hk glad you had a good night, do not get crazy obsessive about the healthy eating/drinking - a few glasses of wine aren't going to hurt you (I was out last night too - not a particularly heavy one but I did have a glass or three!)

I have a question for all the charters : went to bed at 12.30 last night, woke up and took my temp straight away and it was 36.51. Then looked at clock and realised it was only 2:30am so went back to sleep. Woke up again at 4:30am, took temp and it was 36.21. Went back to sleep. DCs woke us up at 7:20 (yay, lie-in!), dozed with them until 7:45 then took temp to try an get some kind of average and it was 36.55 (but had been some (not much) talking. Lay completely still for 10 mins without talking etc then tried again: 36.51.

Which temp would you record? I'm tempted to go for the 4:30 one as it's more my usual time for taking but it's also the "odd one out". If I had checked clock first at 2:30 I wouldn't have bothered, and then wouldn't have needed a third reading. Aagh, have confused myself!! Confused

MummyinEngland · 21/11/2010 08:02

Thanks Nix. I am going to try to relax and be hopeful seeing as there is nothing I can do right now anyway. I have asked for opinions on the ashermans websites (its great for info, but my god there are some scary stories on there!) and when I get back to CR will start looking for a new gynecologist (one that doesnt specialise in Vaginal RejuvinationGrin) and hopefully that will give me a bit more confidence.

Last night I watched Anne Widicombe "dancing"Hmm still feel a bit queezy.

HKLady welcome to the club, you are now officially one of usSmile

HongKongBaby · 21/11/2010 05:38

Hello all - popping in to say hi although you're all no doubt still tucked up in bed if you have any sense (I'm 8 hrs ahead of most of you). I am having a quiet sunday following going out and drinking wine last night - I know, I'm a wild woman. Actually I feel bad about drinking alcohol, does it really diminish chances of conceiving? Oh well, life has to go on hey.

I have ordered OPKs, thermometer and pre-seed off Amazon and booked myself in for accupuncture next week - confirmation that lurking on Mumsnet is making me much more obsessive and desperate well informed about fertility matters.

Enjoy your Sundays everyone.

OrangeToeNails · 20/11/2010 22:05

His did take his performance to a whole new level if 'interesting'

nickstermum · 20/11/2010 21:32

cor quiet on 'ere tonight... you are all obviously dumbfounded by wangers performance tonight!

nickstermum · 20/11/2010 15:10

mummy try not to imagine all sorts, although i bet its hard. You are bound to get twinges, you have had a 9 month trauma, its been interfered with and now has something inside it that shouldnt really be there :( its rubbish that you have to, but i am sure it will be healed and everytghing back to normal again xxxxxx

and in about 3 weeks you will be enjoying nookie again in the know that you have done exactly the right thing and its all in good working order :)

nickstermum · 20/11/2010 15:06

babes DH is colourblind...confuses greens and browns, and reds i think! It doesnt cause him any hardship, other than restricts job opportunities ie couldnt be an eletrician or anything!! It also means he thinks all the wallpaper etc is a different colour so i get to choose!!! DS was born with blocked tear ducts and had to have an op at age 1, so he was tested for everything then, thankfully his eyes are totally fine :)
Hope DS is good xx

I wonder why you get cramps at 5/6 dpo? its not like it contributes to the mentalling or anything is it Confused

You are all right ladees. a good cry helps wonderfully! Positive today, till i saw a friend who hadnt seen me since i was 12 wks pg, she looked very awkward...god i hate that!!!

OrangeToeNails · 20/11/2010 14:50

Izzy HP was really good, and more true to the book than the last one. Pesky inset days, when do you think you'll go?

mummye I hope everything's ok, I didn't get OPK+ until CD22 last month but then my UCL is 35. Those pre-surgery forms are scary because they have to mention no matter how unlikely, but then plant the seeds of worry

YRMOTB I'm going down the pilates and zumba route. It helps that my PT is currently AWOL Confused A nice afternoon nap later might help? That's my weekend luxury :)

MummyinEngland · 20/11/2010 14:27

Thanks Izz, yes I am expecting period in two weeks. The HRT is designed to fit around my natural cycle, and that is when its due. However I just realised that taking estrogen might suppress ovulation though (?) so dont really know why I am temping in that case...

I also remembered that the twinges are likely to be caused by the coil in there, so for now I am trying to suppress the panic and go with positive thinking.

inset day sounds like a bummer. Sad
