Everyone will probably see this thread was started by me and think "Oh god, not her again".

You can tell it's getting towards that time of the month.

Anyway, on day 26 of cycle - have had a really dull tummy ache for last 2 days as if A/F is going to arrive - actually been going to the toilet to check it's that bad (Gross i know but i have to be graphic).
Woke up this morning feeling really sicky but thought i was just probably hungry as had not eaten last night - therefore went to the shop to buy a Mars Bar (Healthy, i know) and have now just thrown the whole mars bar back up again.

Is it just wishful thinking? Can't test yet as cycle's vary from 28 days to 38 days.

Hi Quackers! Great to hear from u too! I usually miss everyone on here as i cant check at work and everyone else seems to only be on here during the day.!! Anyway, i reckon i can check on sunday. thats 14 days after ov. not sure i can hold out though, never have b4!!! Can i also just say a great big fat BALLS. I have posted message on another board that i sometimes frequent (not as good as this one) and have had a reply from someone offering me advice. Dont get me wrong, its very kind, but i now feel a kind of kick in the guts. Can i just copy it for you? Get this:

One of the reasons why I am writing to you is that I note you have PCO. One of many problems with this is that the cystic follicles on the ovaries do disappear (I wonder why your case was described as "mild" only to be replaced by further cystic follicles. I have polycystic ovaries also but was diagnosed with PCOS.

Would strongly suggest you do not use opk's at all as apart from the expense of the things they are of no benefit to PCO patients. This is because these kits detect LH hormone; in many such people this hormone level is elevated hence the misleading readings.

Are you being monitored by blood tests and ultrasounds whilst on clomid?. This is particularly important as this can raise the blood levels of LH in some patients (as some PCOs patients have an excess of this hormone anyway this is the last thing you need). You should be monitored in any event and not left.

You will need to be persistant in order to get answers.

Good luck with the clomid course. Will talk you through lap or hsg if either is needed.

Now what do i do???? have i done all this for nothing. have i messed my body up now? surely it cant work. GGGGRRRRRRRRRR, so mad. Bugger.

Hi Egypt, grt to hear form u!!! Gosh this is really getting exciting now!!!! Bloody hell, when can u test???????????????????????????, want u to wipe that smile of your bosses/colleague's face!!!! I don't know much about temp rises but have just started doing mine now. It's really good and easy too! At least your temp is still above post ov, don't panick just yet chuck!!!! Fingers are tightly crossed now!!!!!!

quackers · 02/09/2003 18:41

Oh Bogwoppit, I'm really sorry for your loss, it's such a bugger isn't it. I think those first few hurdles are the worst and it's only then I think things will get better, hope that's right anyway! My first due date is coming up very close now and then there will be another in March, after that should get better. I'm so sorry that a significant date is on your ds's birthday, you can say oh it makes you think of them etc.. but I bet you would still prefer it to be another day, separate feelings and all that. How long have u been ttc now??

Egypt · 02/09/2003 18:38

Hi all, Quackers hope you chatting helps. Jemma, don't worry, these things happen all the time I am sure, half of all pregnancies fail b4 they even get off the starting mark (that is if you have had a biochemical pgcy). If you have you know you can conceive, and that you are ov.

Hi Bogwoppit!

No news as yet. Boobs are still quite sore but not as much as yesterday. Over the last couple of days had a second shift in temp. It went up loads and stayed there for 2 days. Read somewhere that a week or so after ov (when the 1st temp rise happens) if the egg implants you often can get a second rise!! So was v v v v excited and jumping round the house. Mmm a bit prematurely admittedly. But today it was back down to where the post ov line was Stupid me! Putting it down to the heating coming on! Realised I am 2 days behind twiglett, also on her first round of clomid. Fingers crossed for us please!!!

Bogwoppit · 02/09/2003 17:10

Quackers,
I really hope it works for you talking to someone.
I had a fab chat & blub to my homeopath not so long ago.
It was all getting to me. 1st my m/c happened on DS's birthday, then I went through the due date, then the 1st anniversary. chatting really really helped. I still get upset especially when ttc is taking so long, but I can look more positively now.
It was far easier to tell her how I was feeling than explaining it all to my DH.

Jemma7 · 02/09/2003 16:56

What about referring to her as a coach or mentor - doesn't sounds as harsh as counsellor.
Only a suggestion!
Hope it all goes OK for you quacks - might do you good to talk to someone you don't know, who doesn't know anything about your history, someone who you can tell everything to.

Hi Jems, gosh wouldn't like to cross you in a dark alley!!!! Don't worry, we'll get there and at least we can come on here and talk about it together, we're both a bit panicky and probably worry too much about stuff. I ahve just rung this counsellor - god I hate that word- she;s on leave for a week now. Ah wellm just ahve to wait, then I'll be off loading my worries and stress. God I even look a mess now. neglecting myself at wee bit and the house. Must go and clean a bit this eve. Hope u sort out the car!!! LOLxxxx

Jemma7 · 02/09/2003 15:58

Don't worries Quacks - i would prefer to know what all the possibilities are.

Having a nightmare, am leasing a car but the company i am doing it through are being a nightmare so have got to start searching all over again - ARRGGGGGGG!!
I'm like a kid - i want it and i want it NOW!

OP posts:
quackers · 02/09/2003 15:53

Oh Jems, that's exactly what I didn't want. I just thought some perspective might help to determine what might have happened and it's only a might. It's the very first hurdle a fertilised egg faces and very often fails at this one. Please don't worry, it's definately what I didn't want to happen!!! From another perspective it also means you can conceive. LOL, sorry for bringing this upxxxxx

Jemma7 · 02/09/2003 15:13

Ahh thanks Quacks - your so sweet!
I was thinking something along those lines myself because things were definitely different before A/F arrived!
God, panicing now - what if this has happened before? What if it carries on happening?

OP posts:
quackers · 02/09/2003 14:00

Jems, don't know if you;re still using this thread but didn't want to be selfish and take over the ttc thread or others. Yes bleeding very annoying, this happened with the last m/c, it would stop and start and be fresh bleeding. It's worrying. It did sort out though in the end so hope this will reslove soon.
I had a little thought and don't know how you feel about this but it is a tiny possibilitly if your P is very heavy and quite late that it may have been a biochemical pgcy. I only say this because you had so many symptoms before your AF arrived it seems odd to be heavy again. I beleive it happens alot if your P is heavier and a little late that the egg fertilises but fails almost immediately for no more reason than it wasn;t quite right and does not proceed further than a day or 2. Just might be a reason if you;re looking for one, like I say it's only cos your symptoms were so prominant. Only a thought but might shed some light on it for you I don't know.??

quackers · 02/09/2003 10:33

Thanks all, I've had more than my fair share of fuss I think and I would hope I would be just as supportive for any of you. You're all very kind!! Bleeding is terrible now, using a pad every hour, so going to nurse this am for swabs and taking anti biotics. I feel more postive today but dd has croup and an infection so I was at Docs earlier for antibiotics for her and will go back later - never away from the place!!!!!! We'' just stay in and play today!
Jems, you didn't post Fri that's why we didn't know about AF!! Well now is the strat of a new cycle but I would perhaps see the Doc about your P's if they have gone so bad for you. It sounds v painful and long. Just might be worth a chat about it.
Egypt, hey don't be daft, I would rather talk about someone alse's stuff, I can handle that, just not my own!!!! How are you, tell us how it's going???? I am very confident for you this month, my dear friend is having the same syptoms as you and I'm really excited for her too!!
xxxxx

hewlettsdaughter · 01/09/2003 19:47

quackers - have just replied to you on the thread re your dd's party. good luck with the counselling if you go for it.

Egypt · 01/09/2003 18:14

Sorry Jemma, what I meant was WAS your p late? (I know you already have it).

Egypt · 01/09/2003 18:11

Oh dear Jemma, sounds bad. I hope you are ok. Are you late for your p?

Quackers, so sorry you feel so down. I didn't realise you felt this bad either. I feel terrible as I have been going on about myself so much, thinking that you were ok. I am fine thanks, just the same as yesterday. You are very lucky to have such a caring doc. Thats brilliant. Things will work out for you eventually, they always do, it's just coping in the meantime thats the tricky part. Remember we are all here for you and you must write anytime you need a chat. Lots of love xxx

Jemma7 · 01/09/2003 17:27

Soz, Quacks, my fault - A/F arrived on Friday - that's what i meant about the pains - it's been horrible this month - the worst it's been since i was a kid.

OP posts:
quackers · 01/09/2003 15:22

Great actually thanks, went out with DH Fri and had a party for my dd's 3rd yesterday. Just all this looming over me and I want to really move on. So I take it you still have no AF????? Gosh that's so long Jems, have you done a test just in case? Maybe it's worth seeing your Doc again about your periods if they are getting long. There might be something they can do for you. Just to make the cycle a bit shorter and less waiting time each month. I don't know, how do you feel today otherwise, any more pains??

Jemma7 · 01/09/2003 15:08

She sounds really nice Quacks - must be nice to have a good relationship and know they are genuinely interested and want to help!

I'm OK - i know i said last week i was geared up for A/F arriving but i have had the most horrific period pains - i went on the pill mainly because i suffered from really bad and heavy periods and since i've come off the pill i've been really surprised, thought i was going to suffer alot. They have been fine up until now - have never taken so many Nuerofen tablets in my live.

Maybe i'm just being a pansy!

How are u? Did u have a good weekend?

OP posts:
quackers · 01/09/2003 14:35

Oh thanks Jem, god did I sound that bad, Im sorry, wallowing in self pity really aren;t I. Thankyou so much jems, your are a gem! I am sad yes and feel it would be good to offload it all onto someone else. I need to get out all this and stop obsessing about what could be wrong etc.. Doc was a saint, must send her a card and maybe some flowers, she said I could go in a nytime, just to chat or ask advice. I'm lucky I've got her. How are u Jems???

Jemma7 · 01/09/2003 14:22

Oh Quackers, Bless you
Do u feel like it would do you good to talk to someone about it?
Don't do anything you don't want to though.

I didn't realise you were taking this bad - i thought you had started to feel better.
If you want to talk more privately, i'm here if you need me.

Big Hugs
Jem x

Thanks Bunny, see the post on your threadxxxx
Been to Doc's now and got v upset about all this. had my HCG/FSH/LH bloods done today and Progesterone will be day 20/21. She has booked me in for next week to go over all my results, she was so lovely as always my Doc. However she said I'm obsessed and weepy and has referred me to someone to talk all this over. I've never done anything like this before in my life - but I'm willing to try if it will help sort out my grief and obsession for information and answers. I want my old self back!! LOL to all xxxxxxx
Egypt, how are u today honey????????

bunny2 · 01/09/2003 13:02

Sorry to hear you are fed up Quacks, I really hopw things start going better for you now.

rainbow · 01/09/2003 09:26

Ttc for 5 years 1st dr was useless 2nd dr brill. Wish I had gone to her earlier. Good luck Jemma7 and you quakers. I be watching the threads for some greatnews!

quackers · 01/09/2003 08:48

Oh forgot, yes the liquid was clear and there was just a little when I squeezed my nipples.

quackers · 01/09/2003 08:48

No they were from the nipples themselves, only in my first pgcy though like I say and that one fortunately was fine!! It was about a week after conception if I remember rightly!! Oh I'm excited for you and really envious!!! I still have to wait so long and now 2 of my friends have told me they are ttc. I feel a bit under pressure now as they are friends and one lives next door. I started bleeding again or my period got heavier again - not sure which but I hope it stops today. It was so painful though and that's really weird for the end of a period. Pain gone now though. Oh it's never ending and I'm getting disheartnened now. Sorry I''m rambling. Can't reall moan to DH or my Mum, they've heard enough about it I think!
