Mouse: it's the very first consultation at the end of Jan. It's private. Definite view to pursue IVF. All other tests done proved everything was fine with both of us. Even ovarian reserve better than what it should be for my age. This is the first and last step, which we have agreed between ourselves. We don't want it to become all encompassing, as too much else is going on in all other aspects of our lives. Although, by it's very nature the baby will be the be all and end all. We don't want the ttc malarkey to bring us down any further than it already has.
Mouse: very sorry that you are going through this on your own. But like Terrys has already said we're all here to support you. FX that everything turns out ok. xxx
Terrys: due to your feeling so tired( completely normal at this stage)- a few early nights might come close to sorting you out!

GetDownYouWillFall · 10/12/2010 16:07

mouse you don't have to do this alone. You and DH are in this together, you shouldn't have to shoulder all the heart-ache. I'm sure he'd want to support you. But understand your desire to protect him, you are very strong.

Terrys try not to worry about the lines, a line is a line is a line. I bet they will get darker as the weeks progress. I would give up temping though, as Lady says it can drive you to despair if you have a dip and often it means nothing.

Fedup sorry to hear that you've been trying so long, it's really heartbreaking. I feel for you. Will this be your first round of IVF?

I daren't look at my legs Blush they are still stinging Blush. Might have to DTD in the dark tonight!! Grin I don't usually wax either Lady but just so sick of shaving, and the little blighters poking through again the very next day Angry [hairy]

Ah me, oh my! I am at bonkers CD10 - nothing is happening and I'm boooooorrrred!!

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 10/12/2010 16:06

mouse good luck for Monday. If you can't wait until then some private clinics do Saturday appointments, although last time the private hospital wouldn't scan me until 7.5 weeks - I think the NHS equipment is generally better for early scans. But might be worth ringing round to ask if you want to be seen quicker?

TerrysNo2 · 10/12/2010 15:56

fedup Grin thanks! Grin

TerrysNo2 · 10/12/2010 15:53

mouse obviously its your decision if you want to tell your DH or not but are you sure he would want you to be going through this on your own? I know you want to protect him, but remember he might want to protect you too. Sorry if that's very forward of me to say, but I don't want you to feel alone! We are here for you whatever though!

mousebacon · 10/12/2010 15:48

Thank you Fedup! Fingers crossed eh? Hope you are well. What stage of the ivf process are you at? xx

mousebacon · 10/12/2010 15:46

Not telling DH as the whole point of not telling him in the first place was to avoid any heartache for him. I'll be ok on my own. It's very early days for this pregnancy and I'd just like to know either way before xmas now. Feel teary today, can't believe it's over the weekend again (so was my mc) but at least I have an appointment. The gp has acted v quickly.

God, actually I feel really sad and alone. Don't think I'm as attached to this pg as the last one but why is my body doing this? What if my DS was some sort of miracle pregnancy? Sorry.

TerrysNo2 · 10/12/2010 15:44

LadyG is aspirin ok to take in PG, I didn't think it was as you're not supposed to take it when BF-ing??

Fedupttcnosuccess · 10/12/2010 15:41

Lady, Terrys and Mouse: Grin Grin Grin
C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S ! ! !
what a beautiful Christmas present!

Fedupttcnosuccess · 10/12/2010 15:36

The Congrats were and are aimed at all the BFPs Lady! Wishing all you lucky ladies a successful and uneventful nine months xxxx
Terrys: the general consensus is that I'd you've had babies earlier than your forties, then you are more likely able to make babies into an older age. But first babies happening after 40 are a rare occurrence. Not a scientific study, merely hearsay. But we have been rather unsuccessful thus far, so there may or may not be any truth in the matter!

LadyGoneGaga · 10/12/2010 15:27

See, I forgot Hippy. So sorry lovely Hippy. Yes, come back and chart again!

I would tell you to stop testing Terrys but I still am. This is where the internet cheapies come in to their own! It's quite a gradual change but over a couple of weeks you'll see them go really dark hopefully. But I AM NOT temping though - was driving myself mad with every little fluctuation.

LadyGoneGaga · 10/12/2010 15:24

Aw sorry, Fedup. There was rather a lot of excitement yesterday and people tend to get lost in the babble. Thanks for the congrats (if was aimed at me as well, my BFP was a few weeks ago now anyway so may not have been [blush}. But i'll take it.

Getdown my waxer advised Ibuprofen as is an anti-inflammatory bt otehrwise same principle as the paracetamol. Although TBH haven't had a wax since I was pregnant with DS Blush. Good old BIC now.

Mouse it is good you haven't had much more blood and is brown only and you have a scan although sucks you have to wait over the weekend. Try and do some nice things to pass the time (you mentioned Christmas decs? We're doing ours too.

IzzyWizzy Welcome to the board. We need some new ladies Grin. Your chart looks fine - just got to keep an eye on the pant snot and do the dirty now Xmas Grin. Glad the acupuncture working for you. I'm seeing one post-mc to aid reocvery/hormonal balance etc. And I got my BFP on first proper (non-WTF) cycle post-mc so she must have done something right. I'm still seeing her now to try and support the pregnancy. And taking aspirin as a precaution too. Still sh*tting myself re:mc though.

TerrysNo2 · 10/12/2010 15:21

fedup x-post, I hope your IVF works, 40 isn't that old! My mum had my sister when she was 45! Smile

TerrysNo2 · 10/12/2010 15:19

Hello all

Been out at DS's toddler group christmas party and I am shattered, which is quite unlike me as I am usually full of beans

Hello to fedup, hippy and Izzy, its nice to see new and returning faces!

Although I have got my BFP last week (in case you didn't read back before this page) I am still partaking in this thread, partly as I am too scared to leave but mainly because everyone is so nice and I want to see their BFP's arrive!

mouse hope you are feeling better today and good luck at the scan on Monday, it probably feels like a million miles away but it will come around in no time, try and keep busy if you can. Are you going to tell DH?

GetDown you are a brave lady waxing anything - I am ouching just thinking about it!

I took another PG test this am but it wasn't very dark line - almost the same as the other day - shouldn't it be getting darker now? But temp was highest ever!

Fedupttcnosuccess · 10/12/2010 15:04

You're so sweet Getdown, I'm not really that sensitive. But that would be sooo nice...Blush
Not insensitive at all, I like charting as it confirms everything works as it should. Numerous tests on both of us have come back aok. Hence unexplained infertility tag. The fact of the matter is we are past our use by date now! Or should that be best before?!? He's 43, I'm 40. Frankly we left it too late as life got in the way... Now our eggs and tadpoles won't play ball! Can you blame them? I wouldn't!

Fedupttcnosuccess · 10/12/2010 14:59

Izzy: ARGC, last week of January, can't remember exact date at the top of my head! Until this appointment, we couldn't think of a solution. We are optimistic, but if it doesn't happen after this, then we'll resign ourselves to the fact that it just wasn't meant to be... But secretly hope it does!
Getdown: am charting on paper: at the back of the TCOYF book. I'm such a Luddite, I know! Xxxx

GetDownYouWillFall · 10/12/2010 14:52

Awww Fedup have a hug ((((((((((((())))))))))

I know you can end up feeling ignored on these threads and it's horrible.

When I start feeling like that I realise it may be time to step away for a while. Then I come back at some point and waffle away to myself again Grin

I will always make a point of saying hi to you now when you pop in so you don't feel left out , ok m'dear?

GetDownYouWillFall · 10/12/2010 14:50

izzy I've thought the same re. the sexy undies, but just can't face it to be honest Blush I am very boring Grin I like my big comfy M&S beige coloured knickers Grin

Fedup I see from izzy's post you are poss doing IVF? So sorry if I was insensitive re linking to your chart...

Fedupttcnosuccess · 10/12/2010 14:47

Grin you have restored my faith Getdown! (in everything- don't ask: just having a mega melancholic day today, until you popped your head through the door!) Thanks for that! Sorry for being so cheesy!

GetDownYouWillFall · 10/12/2010 14:47

Oooo haven't got any baby oil gel, I've got regular baby oil, will that do?? They are stinging like buggery rather a lot. I went slightly too close to my lady garden area Blush

Fedup to you want to link to your chart so we can all have a nosy-nose??

izzy - we are pretty much on the same cycle day, so I will be stalking you following your chart with interest Grin

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 10/12/2010 14:46

Hello getdown of course I remember you

Fedupttcnosuccess · 10/12/2010 14:45

Getdown: Slap on some baby oil in gel form! Always sorts them out mega quick for me! Better than some expensive body lotions IMO. Don't knock it 'til you try it!

GetDownYouWillFall · 10/12/2010 14:44

no you haven't Grin

Fedupttcnosuccess · 10/12/2010 14:43

Sorry for killing the thread... AGAIN!!!!

GetDownYouWillFall · 10/12/2010 14:43

thanks Fedup! That's a good idea to take paracetamol before you start waxing! Why didn't I think of that, d'oh!

Anyway tis done now and my legs are a red blotchy mess beautifully smooth, so it's all worth it Hmm

Good luck mouse are you going to tell your DH?
