Shock nix Grin It obviously did the trick with you Grin

well legs are a rather attractive white with zillions of red spots all over them now - nice! I look ready for stuffing now Grin

Izzy looking at your chart, the temp dropping down after AF is normal - nothing to be concerned about. As someone else said I think it's as the progesterone levels drop, your temp drops as well.

It's great to see you had a normal LP last cycle. Things def. moving in the right direction!

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 10/12/2010 19:17

getdown you need old holey ones with a fanjohole Xmas Grin Xmas Grin

spilttheteaagain · 10/12/2010 18:09

It's crap isn't it Izzy. We had the same shock at the 20 week scan - no heartbeat, baby too small. I still get prickly and clammy thinking about those few minutes. I'm really sorry (and a bit surprised) that they didn't investigate yours at all. We didn't ask for any tests, they were offered and I'm really glad that we had them. Aside from actually getting some information it made me feel like they took my baby's life seriously too and her death was worth investigating (if that makes sense at all). I do hope that you get your BFP soon and that it can lessen the pain of Christmas and the newborn period you were expecting xx

Izzy: sorry for your losses. You have been so brave. Hope you have put all your sadness behind you now.
We are kinda living our 'philosophical' attitude at the mo. Going through motions, but not feeling that it will lead to anything. But it's not emotionally touching me as it once did. Everything else in our life is as perfect as I once dreamt it should be. Didnt dream the baby. Maybe that's why it didn't happen. We worked for everything else to happen- left this to chance/ luck/ kismet.... Hey ho

IzzyWizzyletsgetChristmassy · 10/12/2010 17:36

NIX !!!! how're you doing today? I'm hoping these knowledgeable ladies can help me make sense of my chart...

spilt thanks for your kind words, it is truly something no one should have to go through. I believe the technical medical reason we were given was "just one of those things, dear". I had had scans at 7+5, 10 and 13+1 weeks and everything was fine, then at 16 week appt, no heartbeat. Scan confirmed baby had died at about 14 weeks. We weren't offered tests as first mc. Maybe I could have pushed and got some done but tbh was just desperate to get the cremation etc over with. Five months on and coming up to the due date at Christmas, it still hurts but gets easier to deal with iykwim?

I read some of your earlier posts, and was really sorry that you lost Bobbie, it sounds like you've had a terrible time..,I'm so pleased to hear you've got your bfp now and hope you have a very dull and uneventful eight months...

fedup I really admire your attitude, although obviously I hope you never have to put your philosophical approach to the test. Fx the ivf works out for you.

Re waxing: I can stand it if someone else does it for me but cannot do it to myself. Tried to wax my own bikini line once - so painful! - ended up pulling it off too slowly as couldn't bring myself to do the all-at-once quick pull, thus ended up with huge bruising. That was attractive on the beach...

Fedupttcnosuccess · 10/12/2010 17:34

Go on... It is Friday night after all Grin your legs are silky smooth( they will be, by the time you are ready to woo him!) and if not: put your stockings on!

spilttheteaagain · 10/12/2010 17:29

GetDown it sounds like it's becomming more fertile. Start OPKing and get the swimmers on board!

OP posts:
GetDownYouWillFall · 10/12/2010 17:28

yeah Grin Just trying to work out if I can be arsed it's worth it.

Fedupttcnosuccess · 10/12/2010 17:27

Getdown: get some swimmers in there: knicker watching ain't gonna get you upduffed, dtd will give you better odds! Smile

Fedupttcnosuccess · 10/12/2010 17:23

Thanks spilt. I've done my obsessing, to be honest. It didn't get me anywhere unfortunately. So, we're being sort of clinical about it, feel detached from it. Maybe it's a safety mechanism. It keeps me from being overly analytical or emotional. I used to get very involved. Used to question everything. But recently, I have this attitude that what will be will be. Still fantastic to have a baby though: charting is very very addictive: don't you find? Also gives me unfounded hope EVERY month, only for the RTD to rear it's ugly head! That's enough obsessing for me! Don't want to go raising the bar further than IVF!

GetDownYouWillFall · 10/12/2010 17:20

nix surely the fluffy jim jams have to come off to Do the Deed? Wink Or have you perfected the technique to DTD with jimmys still on, if so, secret please.

GetDownYouWillFall · 10/12/2010 17:19

Grin at the eggs and tadpoles doing a silly jig and salute! Oh Fedup!!! I know how you feel! Last cycle we timed it perfectly and still nothing. I can't understand it, what were the little swimmers up to?? Confused There's only several million of them after all Hmm, surely ONE of them could get their act together Hmm

Well I just checked CM again. It's creamy but also had a little bit of twang to it - you know, a little bit of stretch.... what do you think, is that egg white, or not#? Confused

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 10/12/2010 17:19

I go by the motto that they keep my legs warm in winter..DH has no clue with fluffy jim jims on!!

spilttheteaagain · 10/12/2010 17:13

GetDown if I was you I'd probably start OPKing the second I saw any hint of fertilish CM. Datewise tomorrow makes sense though.

Fedup you sound very philosophical about it all. I can only admire you for it, I am one of those who gets totally obsessed Blush. I really hope you get your baby soon.

You waxers, I am impressed. I have had my lower legs waxed twice and I cried, it was horrible. But I do sympathise as I too have fast growing leg hair. DH has learnt to live with it Grin

Fedupttcnosuccess · 10/12/2010 17:11

Thanks mouse Smile you take it easy m'love. x

Fedupttcnosuccess · 10/12/2010 17:10

NB: I personally think our eggs and tadpoles are all too tired and demented to KNOW what to do when they do get together! I imagine them doing a silly jig and a salute and then heading off their own way! Grin

mousebacon · 10/12/2010 17:08

Thank you for the kind words ladies, it will indeed be dildo cam - oh the joy! Will be my 3rd visit in the space of 10 weeks. Hopefully this will have a happier outcome.

DH now knows Im going for a scan as the gp receptionist had left a message on 1571. I've just told him they want to check me over as I haven't had a period yet. He couldn't come with me either way due to work commitments.

I'm so pleased to have MN - you are all so great.

Fedup I hope the ap goes really well in jan xxx

Fedupttcnosuccess · 10/12/2010 17:07

Getdown: therein the problem lies. If it ain't broke how do ya fix it? There did come a point when I fervently prayed and hoped that they'd find something, fix it, then we could get on with it. But it was never gonna be that easy...

Fedupttcnosuccess · 10/12/2010 17:05

Spilt and Nix: don't worry about it. It's not your fault. I understand completely! I am to blame too... In that I've rather neglected this thread as been so rushed off my feet at work. And you girls certainly don't hang about, do you? It's so busy here! It's all good though. Smile

GetDownYouWillFall · 10/12/2010 17:04

x-post Fedup well you sound like you have a very sensible attitude to it all. Hope it works! The fact you've got no detected "issues" is surely a good thing.

GetDownYouWillFall · 10/12/2010 17:03

Grin Nix funnily enough as I looked at my pasty white legs covered red pluck marks this afternoon, it did remind me about getting the turkey in for Christmas Grin

Fedupttcnosuccess · 10/12/2010 17:01

Thanks Getdown: yes, it will be our first round. We were very optimistic due to all the invasive tests done through the NHS coming back with fantastic results. The drs kept encouraging us to be patient. We've been married for 5 years now, not used any contraception in that time, hoping for a happy accident. Seriously ttc for 2. Now, we have accepted that it may never happen for us, but at least we will have done our best. However, we don't feel we can go abroad, look into donor eggs or anything further than the IVF. It is definitely horses for courses, and we admire all those people out there who can leave no stone unturned. We don't feel we'd be strong enough to open that can of worms ever, not just now. If it didn't happen with IVF, we would be sad, but we'd be able to live with it due to having lots of nephews and nieces on both sides and fantastic godchildren. We are also very career driven and motivated. Everything happens for a reason, so we have made peace with whichever hand we are dealt with. Although a baby would be the icing on the cake!

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 10/12/2010 17:00

/fedup sorry if your congrats werent acknowledged! Cor busy on here! mouse everything crossed lovely x Izzy my darling wizzy* nice to see you on here, good charting advice for sure :) Xmas Grin at the waxed plucked chicken effect legs... know it well!! GetDownYouWillFall · 10/12/2010 16:58

thanks spilt how are you today, feeling suitably pukey? Grin

Do you think I should start OPKing tomorrow? (CD11) the earliest I've ever ov'd is CD13 but usually a lot later than that.

I've got lots of cheapies though, so I suppose no harm in starting early.

spilttheteaagain · 10/12/2010 16:52

Hello girlies! Blimey it has been busy in here today!

Fedup I feel very Blush for not responding to your congratulatory message. I read it amongst the general excitement of my LFPs yesterday and smiled and thought aaw how lovely of her and continued to shit myself all day long whilst staring at my tests.
But thank you.

And hippy thanks! Nice to see you again too.

mouse I hardly know what to say other than I really feel for you and am tense and nervous for you, desperately hoping you get reassurance on Monday and see a little heartbeat. Is it dildo cam?

Izzy hello and welcome! Lovely to have some new people here. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss earlier this year. It's utterly heartbreaking to go through. I've just been through something very similar and am still feeling very fragile. Were you able to find out what happened to your baby?
Your charts look like the accupuncture has really made a difference, nice 12 day LP. It's fairly normal to have higher temps during your period I have learnt, - the progesterone levels are still falling. Looking at your last months chart you are heading into the Crucial Zone now. Good luck!

terrys those lines play merry hell with your mind. POAS daily by all means (I intend to!) but they sometimes will not get much darker for a bit. Goodness knows how but in my entire pregnancy with Bobbie I only tested 3 times. The first two were at 13 dpo and about 20 dpo ish and looked practically the same. Then about 1-2 weeks later I took another and it nearly lept off the stick at me and appeared before the control line. This time I am writing on my tests the day I took them and am going to stick them all on a big sheet and keep them .
Am a sentimental sod really Blush

GetDown nearly time to start OPKing my dear, fingers crossed for you.

Hello everyone else Smile
