A shiny new thread girls and hopefully we shall all get merrily up-duffed with sticky beans Grin

OP posts:

Ladies [sob dramatically] my body is failing me. I am clearly being put out pasture.

DP is exhausted and I am frankly sick and tired of SWI. Poor man, we even did it last night after he'd had a wisdom tooth out.

Still no definite signs of ov, just bizarre temps. I did get a +ve OPK at 7pm last night and I've just done another one and got a +ve, so I've let DP know we'll have to do it again tonight.
I don't know what is going on at all - my cycles are being stretched out for no reason after having lovely 28 day cycles for months.

When can we stop SWI?!! Damn you body - feckin ovulate!!!!

Oh, here

TerrysNo2 · 09/11/2010 12:03

yep, that's right LadyG - Friday morning it is, just hope FIL (who will be visiting) stays in bed so we can do it on our own. I don't want anyone to know either way!

LadyGoneGaga · 09/11/2010 11:54

Friday would be 13dpo right? I'd wait til Friday morning I reckon as more likely to get a pos and you won't believe it if a neg otherwise.

TerrysNo2 · 09/11/2010 11:10

Oh, not allowed to test until DH gets home on Thursday, but as I won't see him till I get home from work then I assume its safer to test on Friday morning (stronger wee??) AF may arrive before and save me some money though!

TerrysNo2 · 09/11/2010 11:09

What are you talking about LadyG none of my symptoms are made up at all. Hmm Grin

LadyGoneGaga · 09/11/2010 10:25

Dunno Terrys - I think I "invent" symptoms in any case! Why aren't you allowed?

TerrysNo2 · 09/11/2010 10:21

ok, thanks Orchid I have inserted it.

FF experts my Early Pregnancy Signs are up to 48 points. Is this good!?!?

I'm not allowed to test until Thursday. Sad

Orchid12 · 09/11/2010 10:11

Not really Terrys but if you're in the LP then the higher temp would seem to make more sense (and is at the more normal time).

Lady will keep my fingers crossed Grin

TerrysNo2 · 09/11/2010 09:22

LP orchid - does that change your mind?

LadyGoneGaga · 09/11/2010 09:21

I had same thing this morning, Terrys and used the second. There's not a lot in it though so don't worry.

Thanks Orchid but I always get a dip round now, pregnant or not. Although usually 6dpo rather than 5. I do feel a bit funny but prob all in my head at this stage!

Orchid12 · 09/11/2010 09:00

Terrys I would use the second one if it were me. Are you in the follicular or lutueal phase though?

Lady nice dip on your chart this morning Smile

TerrysNo2 · 09/11/2010 08:47

Quick question lovely ladies:

Which temp should I use today:

woke at 3am (after 3 hours sleep) OR woke at 7.30am after 2.5 hours sleep but it is nearer to my usual temp taking time of 6.45am. Blame DS who woke up at 5!! Thanks! BTW they are 36.34 and 36.42 respectively

LadyGoneGaga · 08/11/2010 23:33

Good luck Hippy. I got pg with DS from a SWI on day 8 or 10 (was not a fanatical charter back then!), despite my shortest ever cycle being 28 days and more typical 31 days back then. Funny as got pg the last time on cd 22 - just shows you never quite know.

hippychick66 · 08/11/2010 23:25

thanks mouse. I do like this thread - although I have not a clue what you're all on about when you talk charts Grin

I ov'd very early this month and so i think all my SWI is done for the month. The lads are in place and I think so is the egg - so nothing to do now but wait.........

Love to all - keep on chartin'. xx

LadyGoneGaga · 08/11/2010 23:10

T'is [[http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2fee7f
here]], Mouse but too early to tell much yet.

Thanks for vote of confidence, battery.

I know what you mean re: Christmas. I was meant to be about 23 weeks or something by then Sad. Now I will have to spend it with pregnant SIL who is a month behind where I was Envy Sad. Just hope I get my BFP beforehand. I've got two chances left...

mousebacon · 08/11/2010 20:17

Ah digi at least you can throw caution to the wind and have a lovely relaxing xmas without worrying about cheese and booze etc. I know it's no consolation, knowing we should have been large and pg at xmas (I cried in debenhams last week because I was looking at party dresses i shouldn't have been able to fit into Sad )I really wish you all the best and hope to see you back here soon xxxxxx

Need to get back on it (so to speak) with DH. Have had a few days off which was not in my plan. Sadly, I think his sperm are more like sleepy kittens than ninjas Grin

hippy it's nice to have you around again Smile

Lgg I can't see your chart but am hoping there's good news just around the corner for you xx

TerrysNo2 · 08/11/2010 19:40

Evening all!

battery you should check out if Ryanair do some conception deals on flights Wink!! I hope his ninja sperm do the trick next time you are together.

digi I'm pleased you have come to a decision regarding TTC, hopefully it will take some pressure off you in the next few months. I really want 2 or 3 children and having had DS I do assume that it will just happen, so I can't imagine how it feels to be in your situation. As you said, enjoy your DS now and give him extra cuddles!

MrsA I reckon FF won't be accurate until you pass the same OV day as last month, then you will have a bigger picture to work from, atm its just going on data up to now. See if you can get DH to keep SWI-ing and have some fun!

LadyG good luck with temp rises. I have my fingers crossed for you.

Well today I have had heartburn and feel quite sensitive to smells but I know that I am being ultra observant of all changes so I could just be imagining it! FF has given me 40 points so far, I am in severe danger of becoming addicted to "find charts like yours" and "early pregnancy signs estimator"!!!

batteryhen · 08/11/2010 19:16

terrys-yes my dp is in germany. That is one of the reasons why I chart so I can be organised enough to get one of us on a plane at the right time. It's expensive TTC!
digi I always thought I would have 2 children, but as time ticks on I think I will be lucky to have 1 - but then again I can always hope to have twins I suppose! It is a hard decision to make to not ttc for a few cycles, I have been wondering the same thing too, but I am hoping in my case I have just been unlucky ,so will carry on ttc for now, and pray that my next bean is a sticky one.
hippy - it is wierd that people at work will know that I have gone to germany for a shag but I am beyond caring :)I thnk that some people at work know my cycles better than me!
ladyg quick wave to you - I feel optimistic for you this month :)
split how are you me dear??

I am tired out - I am still going in late to work just now, and felt ok going in today - but sat at my computer and cried :( this morning. I have my own office so it's not too bad, but a few people did notice and have been sweet. I am emotionally knackered. My body is playing silly buggers with me - dp has been gone one day, and today I have some CM which whilst not of the egg white variety is more than I have had since the MC. Oh the shitness of it all:(

Have sent dp back armed with well man capsules with added zinc. He is quite sure that the next time we SWI he will blow my head off with his super ninja sperm Grin

wave to everyone else xxxxx

LadyGoneGaga · 08/11/2010 15:45

How's the chilled, just shagging approach working out for ya this month?

hippychick66 · 08/11/2010 14:31

Just popped on to say hello to digi. Sorry you've had to make this decision but I do understand the logic behind it. It will be hard for you to ignore the obvious signs - me thinks!

On the flipside - you are incredibly young (to me!) and so a couple of months wont make a huge difference. I didn't even have my first pregnancy until I was 33. You're just a little chick, sweetie Smile. Big hugs.

battery How funny that everyone at work will know that if you're not in work it's cos you've gone to Germany for a shag!! Grin

ladyGG Hi there my dear.

LadyGoneGaga · 08/11/2010 13:42

32 same as me, Digi! I'd like three too but i know what you mean - i've only been through it once but it does taint everything. Especially with what poor Spilt went through I don't think I'll ever relax. Hopefully they will get to the bottom of it and if it can be fixed with Aspirin/Heparin then you should be able to go on.

Thanks on chart but reckon you can't tell a lot at this point. I've been overlaying my charts from the pg cycle and the non-pg cycle and comparing and don't think I get clues til later. I do have sore boobs though which prob means will have a short luteal phase like last time Sad

digitalgirl · 08/11/2010 13:23

ladyg I'm 32, I was naively hoping to one day have three...but I think if I ever manage to have another then I will put an end to my ttc days. My experience has been so tainted that looking at a BFP just won't hold the same happy excitement as I know it's just another stage in the maybe/maybe not game. Good luck this cycle, looks promising!

mrsa there does seem to be a gradual upwards shift, but it's not particularly clear at the moment, could have been CD19. Good luck with getting dh drunk!

LadyGoneGaga · 08/11/2010 13:07

Aw thanks, Terrys. Has stabilised today though. Will see what it does tomorrow. For you missing one temp won't mess with the interpretation esp as you are confidently past ovulation. If you missed one say he day after ovulation then that may be a prob. But FF will just put a dotted line between the two temps either side and you can interpolate the data.

Digi I'm sorry to have to make this decision but it does sound sensible to be honest as I think if you do conceive and have another mc you'll always be wondering what if and feeling bad. How old are you if you don't mind me asking?

MrsA depends on how stoic he is as a rule. You never know, it might make him feel better!

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 08/11/2010 12:55

Oh sorry you had a rubbish night Terrys. I won't think one missed temp will do any harm, especially as you are post ov I think?

I'm putting my ovaries on the naughty step for an hour later on.
FF is bonkers still - telling me I ov CD14 which I didn't. Fri, Sat and Sunday (CD 19, 20 and 21) I had huge globs of EWCM that, trust me, was mine and nothing to do with semen or preseed. Today I only had preseed left and no EWCM, and today I had some dull ov pain and now feel very slightly crampy, exactly like I normally do at ov as the womb lining starts. So I reckon I have ov today but still no obvious temp rise.

I would appreciate anyone's thoughts here

Poor DP had a wisdom tooth out today (only a small, loose one under local as) - AIBU to ask him to SWI for one more time tonight? Shock I've told him I'll get him a whiskey to numb the pain!

digitalgirl · 08/11/2010 12:38

morning ladies

terrys fab the ds slept through, don't worry about missing one temp. Shouldn't mess up the graph, you'd have to miss maybe three in a row plus be in a habit of forgetting for FF to have trouble interpreting.

Well, it's breaking my heart to admit this, but I think we're going to take a break from TTC till I've at least had my bloods taken. I spoke to DH last night and he seemed to think the sensible thing was to wait till we find out if they find anything.

I've had to weigh up how I would feel if I got pregnant again before doing the tests and how I would feel if it failed. First of all, I think the anxiety of wondering if I was going to miscarry again would make the whole experience almost debilitating, I don't know how I'd be able to get through the first 12 weeks without worrying if I should be taking some sort of extra medication to help the baby grow.

I think finding out that it's aspirin PLUS heparin that have shown the best rates of success in women diagnosed with clotting disorders made me realise that I can't assume taking aspirin would cover that problem.

It's only two cycles, but I feel sick thinking about missing those two opportunities. I'll then have to decided once I've given the blood, whether to wait till we get the results (another 10 weeks), or go ahead in the hope that we'll get the all clear at the same time as getting pg.

I feel so so Sad today. But I hope that in a few weeks time I'll accept this temporary situation and use the break as an opportunity to concentrate on other areas of my life (like my wonderful DS).

I think I'm still going to chart so that I know when to expect AF, probably not as dedicated as if we were ttc. But will still pop in to cheer you ladies on with your chart obsessing.
